This was my first time coming here, I had to see what all of the hype was about this place! I gave this place 4 stars because the staff is very friendly and the burgers are great but the fries are ok, and it's double what you would normally pay for in the mainland. You select the burger you want and all of your toppings ( the toppings are free btw), fries, and drink. It's a bit pricy but the burgers are worth it! The fries are what disappointed me, they're made fresh, which is good, but they're just ok! Nothing fancy or extra tasty about them, they're just fresh, natural cut fries! I was hoping for there to be some flavor to them for the price I paid! The burgers, on the other hand, are very tasty, I enjoyed every bite! There's also fresh roasted peanuts for you to enjoy while waiting for your food, and the peanuts tasted better than the fries! read more

Did you know that you can order and pay your meal online? Then just pick up your yummy customized burger, fries and shake! That's what we do now so we don't need to wait too long for our burgers. I usually get the little burger because it's more than enough burger. Sometimes with cheese and sometimes with bacon. Then they have a whole lot of toppings that are included in the price of your burger. Like onions, tomatoes, lettuce, grilled mushrooms, BBQ sauce and more. I don't know why I keep ordering fresh jalapeños when it's so spicy. And then I usually get just the regular fries. I can't handle jalapeños in my burger AND cajun fries. But maybe you can. As far as milkshakes, I haven't tried one yet but if you order the soda, it's refillable in the soda machine that has so many choices for soft drinks. So I don't have any complaints about this place. It's clean, there's always someone cleaning in the store. I can order online and skip the wait in line. And I like the food. read more

Another mainland restaurant has arrived! I could not wait to try the famous Five Guys burgers that I have heard so much about! After walking around in circles in Mililani Town Center, we were finally able to locate the restaurant. I was excited to see the boxes of free peanuts, but was then shocked to see the prices on the menu! I am sure that prices had to be raised coming here, but unfortunately the food did not justify the price tag. We ordered two little cheeseburgers, a little fries, and a milkshake. Although very pricey, I really like the option to add my choice of condiments/toppings to the burger and flavor/mix-in to the shake. The burgers were tasty but not crave worthy. Our coffee flavored milkshake with Oreo pieces was delicious though! The fries were also great and you could really tell that they were freshly cut. While I would not go out of my way to visit Five Guys again, if I ever found myself in Mililani, I would stop in for a shake and fries. read more

Sorry guys but I was not impressed. I can make a better burger at home. One thing I was saddened about was they cook their fries in peanut oil. That's all my baby wanted and we had to go elsewhere to get some. But that's the way they do it so by all means..... Shakes: it was ok. Maybe they are going through the growing pains. Today (Sunday) my boyfriend and I decided to try Five Guys. I've heard all the rumors and talk of it being pricey but realistically the price can be comparable to a Teddy's burger (I love Teddy's). We went while it was fairly busy and yet they got our food out to us in a reasonable fashion (6 minutes). Being that we ordered to burgers and regular Cajun fries! They were quite efficient on their wait time which impressed me quite a bit. The taste was great and I was quite surprised as my boyfriend got the bacon cheeseburger and I got the little hamburger (which is the size of a Big Mac)! I was impressed. Their Cajun fries were abundant! They filled the entire cup, so much so that it overflowed into the bag and somehow the cup still had fries overflowing (much bigger than a large fries from McDonald's). Now the issue of prices. If you guys want a good burger, you're going to have to understand that it's a price you pay. We paid $25.04 for our two burgers and fries which fed and stuffed us! It was worth the wait, price and visit. The only reason it's a star short and why I would rather go to Teddy's is because the employees were less than welcoming. They almost made you feel like you were wasting their time, I've been to Teddy's multiple times and at multiple locations and I've never experienced that type of treatment. read more

We love 5 guys! We were so excited when they announced that they were opening up here in Hawaii. We give 3 stars because of the price. Like seriously 11$ for a double bacon cheeseburger not including fries- that would be an additional 6$. No options for the Keiki either. Five Guys is comparable to Teddy's Bigger Burgers considering the price and restaurant style. I rather choose In and Out with their animal fries, but sadly there are none in Hawaii yet. Expect to spend $20 + for a good meal. The portions are big so unless you haven't ate in a week, I'm sure you will be able to share or take some home for leftovers. I just got a cheeseburger with Cajun fries and a fountain drink. One thing good about them is that you can choose unlimited toppings, ex: double mushrooms and grilled onions, or extra cheese and tomatoes. I just got it with everything on it. The burger was falling apart, but it was delicious. The Cajun fries are kinda spicy, so if you can't handle tobasco or Sriracha on your food, I would just order the regular fries. The spices are good though and ketchup with it will ease the spiciness from your taste buds. Another thing I thought was cool was the fountain drink station. It's automated with a touch screen to choose your drink based on preference, diet or regular, brands, etc. I haven't seen that in any other food places in Hawaii, but I'm sure they're around. Total spent was $18 and I had some leftovers to take home for a late night snack. Not worth the hype is you have to wait in a long line though. read more

They messed up our order, I paid for more then what I recieved. Called them, spoke to a manager, he didnt seem to be interested. Said he would send a "gift certificate", never did. The fact that toppings are included is nice, though the cost of the burger means that you're already paying for a more deluxe burger at other places. The best way to describe it is that it tastes the most homemade of any burger I've had at a restaurant, and that's a good thing. You get double patties and can get things ilke grilled bell peppers, mushrooms and BBQ sauce put in. The price of a soda is pretty high too, so if you're taking out you might be better off just getting that elsewhere if you can. It is the fancy machine where you can add flavors though. There is also no combo option so a the classic burger, fries and drink will run you up. Portions are good. I had a Burger, shared some fries and a shake and I was actually full for the entire day just on that, and you can get bacon pieces in your shake for free if you want (it was pretty good in salted caramel) read more

The burger is mediocre at best, nothing special. Size of the burger is pretty small too. $10 just for a burger...add fries and drinks and you're looking at $20. Way too overpriced for the quality of food you're getting. Whopper from Burger King definitely tastes better and it's half the price. On the bright side, the shake was pretty good, but it costs about $6...I can go to starbucks for this price. It was 10:55am and the front door was clearly unlocked so instead of waiting until 11:00am, I poked my head inside to see if they were open already. A lady told me that they open at 11:00. No problem... I waited. When I was younger, I worked in a fast food joint so I know that sometimes those few precious minutes right before opening can be critical. When we went inside at 11:00, the register was not ready to go so we had to wait for the manager on shift to do her thing. A seemingly nice young lady took our order but when she repeated it back, it was very wrong. I chalk that up to being masked, and having to hear over the usual restaurant noise. I was correcting her but she was getting confused... perhaps I was going too fast. After a while the manager on shift came over and seemed to ask (i couldn't hear her) what was taking so long. This is when the cashier blamed me for changing the order. I get it... probably didn't want to get in trouble by her manager. Think about this though. I'm there ordering take out. People like their burgers a certain way. It is not very likely that someone picking up 5 burgers is changing their order on the fly. So that was the start of me being thoroughly annoyed. You could tell they were having a difficult time putting the order together so I thought it would be a good idea to watch. That's when I saw the manager on shift put a burger with no cheese inside what was supposed to be a plain little bacon cheeseburger. When I brought this to her attention, she said will a little irritation in her voice... "Do you even remember what you ordered?". This was obviously a jab at what happened during the ordering process since the cashier clearly blamed me for the length of time it took her to get it right. I clearly told her that I did, and that it's been the same since I entered the restaurant. She told me the order was correct. Then I saw her reopen the burger. There was no cheese in it so she took it back to the griddle to put cheese on it. There was no acknowledgment to the customer that they had made a mistake, even after the customer pointed it out and was disregarded. I can only think, based on what I experienced, that the culture of this particular workplace is toxic. People unable to be accountable for their mistakes, blaming others, talking bad about customers. I wasn't surprised to find out that this place only had a 3 star review. So why 2 stars instead of one? Well, after I got over my irritation and tasted the food, the food was actually pretty good. Not good enough for me to go there again (because I don't go places that have horrible customer service), but it was the best burger I've had in a while. The burger tasted fresh and had good flavor, the fries were okay, and the peanut butter shake was great. It's expensive for what you get though, at almost 10 bucks a burger. If you have kids and they like plain burgers, it's not really worth it. They give a lot of fries. I ordered 1 large cajun and 1 large regular and we had about half the order left after everyone was full. On our way out they tried to be friendly, but its probably more likely that we became the topic of the day shift crew banter even though at every step of the way, they were certainly wrong. It's okay though. Whatever you need to make it through a bad day in a bad work environment. They didn't see that I noticed that most of my pickles fell out of my burger when they were wrapping it up. As a result, I had only 1 pickle slice in my burger. At that point, I was too irritated to say something. It would have come out very mean and unpleasant. We just said thank you and left. I'd say that the food was 4 out of 5. Service was 0 our of 5. If you go, I hope you have a better experience and that someone else is paying for it. read more

Ate here yesterday after visiting my mom's. The line wasent too long but with the amount of people working you would think the burger would come out fast. Waited almost half an hour for my burger and fries and the burger wasent even cooked to order it was pre made. The guy behind the grill was smashing the burgers and I was like what in the world are you doing smashing my burger. The burger it self was dry and had no taste and the fries where a bit soggy and over salted. I normally dont rate any restraunt one star but five guys really needs to retrain there employees on how not to smash a burger and the concept of team work. Seriously if you have 10 employees behind the counter there should be no way a burger and fries would take 20 mins to make. FYI if you have a peanut allergy stay away from this place they use peanut oil and have shelled peanuts. read more

Went in for a burger around 6pm, but when I saw that a basic hamburger was over $10, decided to settle with just a $5 milkshake instead. Restaurant had 2 other customers, but otherwise fairly empty. Milkshake was good, no complaints here. What I'm curious about is why a hamburger costs $7.29 in L.A. but over $3 more in Hawaii. That's a 30% increase. Most other fast food restaurants in Hawaii might reflect an small increase, but 30% seems on the higher end. Seems like this place would have more customers if they brought the cost of a hamburger and cheeseburger into single digits. Maybe these staple items don't make much margin, but folks will likely buy other items that will make margin. Small soft drink cost of over $3 also above the norm. read more
