Burger w bacon grilled onions and avocado

I was craving a good burger and so I thought I haven't been to teddy's in awhile . The cashier Rachel helped me out and made suggestions on what I wanted on my burger . She was very friendly and helpful. The customer service provided by Rachel was great ! If you are dining in or waiting for your food you are allowed a free refill . The place was clean . It looked like a great place to have a burger and beer so I'll come another time if I want some drinks . It's a little pricey but for $25 I got a big burger, tater tots cheese sauce and a small coke . I forgot to add pineapple but the burger is a good burger a real patty and that makes all the difference. I felt like I was missing their signature sauce but maybe I grabbed the wrong burger. Everyone dinning in looked happy . Will definitely be back

The food was good basic cheeseburger and fries. They have other menu items as well. You walk up to the counter place your order they'll call your number to pick it up. At the time we were there they were doing a trivia contest so it wasn't much seating left.

Went for a weekday lunch. For two combos, it came out to over $50. I had the Volcano (which has jalapeño and things that make it spicy) and I had fries with mine. The husband, I think had the number 2, with onion rings. Good burgers. They make them like you ask - we got medium for ours and it was the right shade of pink. This is one of the husband's favorite burger places I think because of that. Nice and juicy. Very flavorful. The fries are fresh, not soggy. They offer Coke products. They had plenty seating and parking. Clean and spacious area where we didn't have to climb over other people to enjoy our meal. Made for a pleasant time. One of my family's go-to places when we want to sit and have burgers. I'm so glad that they stick to what they are good at and not expand to other things that can potentially get in the way of the quality of their burgers.

I have been here a few times and the burgers never miss! I personally don't enjoy the fries, tots, or onion rings but 100% personal preference because my husband loves them. My order is always a #1 5 Oz cheeseburger plain and my husband gets something different every time. I will say if you don't like burgers, just come for the shakes, so many flavors and always tasty. The service isn't super fast but they are pretty fast for fresh food in a packed place, I have never been when it isn't super busy, but the line moves fast and the food is hot. When you walk in you order at the counter and it's open seating. If you can snag a table then they will bring your food right to you.

    Kaneohe burger with onion rings

I haven't been to Teddy's in years and this most recent visit was a good experience! We ordered the Kaneohe burger and I think the Kailua burger. Both burgers were great with the toppings! I especially loved the avocado in the Kaneohe one. We ordered garlic butter fries and onion rings as our sides and both were delicious! The fries were nice and garlicy and the onion rings were crispy. The only thing we didn't care for was our soda. I think something was up with the soda fountain that night because our coke tasted weird/off. Other than that, the food came out fast and the place had plenty of seating. We enjoyed our meal and would come back again if we're in the mood for burgers!

Avacado alert and super overcooked fries. Couldn't stand the over salt and over cook so I tossed the fries.

Been here before and everything was fine. Looks like this location is going down hill fast. Ordered my standard combo order. $21 dollar burger combo. Soda fountain out of majority of what people like me wanna drink. No Coke, no Dr. Pepper come on. Then I get my burger . The Avacado was rotten, hard, and brown. Gross !!! My fries were really salty and overcooked, and pretty skimpy. $21 dollars id expect the management to be on top of the operation, preparation, and QC. Been a customer for over 20 years. Very disappointing the manager here needs a conference with the owner. Knew the owner back in the day when his wife had South Shore Grindz. Nice guy and the food quality showed.

Burger your way... Be prepared for the questions as it's you that decide what you want on your burger at Teddy's and this Westridge Shopping Center location came in handy as it was a burger that I was craving as nothing beats a handheld meal filled with the topping of your choice cooked to the doneness you choose and at a place that basically has it all for you right here with lots of free parking as well. As business seems to be going fully they seem to be going through some renovation as there was a little excavator right in the restaurant which is something you don't really see though it didn't seem to disrupt majority of the business except the restrooms it was closed so if needed you'd be given a key to use the Shopping Center's one. Nevertheless I was surprised to see a bar as soon as we entered along with a tv was a nice touch for this type of informal establishment but I hele along since it was just a burger for me and was happy to see that with the 4th of July just a few days ago having still the Bleu that I did love having it the last time ordered that "Red, Hot & Bleu" where this buffalo burger is topped with bleu cheese and bacon since I usually get the Kilauea Fire the slight twist on this burger I really liked and enjoyed. Keeping my fingers clean was a paper sack that they do have as well worked perfectly as I enjoyed my bite with flair. Thank you!

Dinner in Aiea, O'ahu, Hawai'i... Teddy's Bigger Burgers has many locations. This one is at Westridge Shopping Center on the ground level. There was construction right in the front that seems to have affected their restroom. Customers were given a key to the Center's restroom, near Central Pacific Bank and behind the stairs. Inside, there was a construction project, but it wasn't active while customers were present. The area is usually spacious with a bar area and a self-service station for drinks and utensils. I got one of the Specials: the Bleu Wave Burger. It was a teri-burger with bacon and bleu cheese. It also had lettuce, onion, and tomato! It was messy, but filling and tasty! I'd go again - maybe when the construction is finished...

Haven't been here in over 7 years but today my husband and daughter had a craving for a burger. We took a while to decide what to get and the young man at the counter was very patient with us. They have either a 5 oz or 7 oz burger to choose from and they have a variety of burgers and combo meals. I like how they ask you how you want it cooked because some places serve half raw/cooked hamburger which is a no-go for me. As we waited for our food, there were alot of people who walked in and by the time we left, the place was full. The young man brought our food to us after a few minutes and we were all happy with our food. The only complaint was the tater tots which didn't taste good. It was very doughy, too much batter. I think the frozen ones we have at home are better than the tater tots they served us. My husband only ate 2 or 3 and ended up throwing it all away. The burgers and the fries were good, no complaints there.

Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Parking: 4/5 Family friendly: 5/5 Stroller friendly: 5/5 ADA accessible: 04/5 I had Teddy's on my list since July '24, but didn't get to make it. This time around I made sure I did. Teddy's didn't disappoint. I wanted a REAL burger. Ordered a double 10oz burger ($13.99) with cheddar and wife big 5oz cheeseburger ($10.00) combo with fries and drink ($6) about $16 total. Let me tell you, it was cooked to perfection, medium, it was messy, and the quality of ingredients were excellent. The combo came with steak fries. I'm usually not a big fan of steak fries because they're oftentimes not crispy, but Teddy's did it right. If your ever in the mood for a great burger on Oahu, look no further than Teddy's Bigger Burger.

The first time I came to Hawaii, this was the first place I stopped. For nostalgia sake, we came here for lunch one day and it was just as good as I remember. I got the single burger with the 1/3 pound patty with tomato, lettuce, pickles, onions, and special sauce and my friend got the double burger with 2/3 of a pound patties with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and special sauce. We got the tater tots with garlic Parm and they were really good. The double burger is a lot of food, especially if you have a side as well so for me the single burger and a side is perfect. Good spot to grab a burger and they have 3 locations in the area and plenty of parking when we went.

What is their veggie burger made out of? Or how does it taste?

Tasted like a boca burger! I'd get it again! #EatWithAri

    Blue cheese burger?

Yes! They have a Bleu Wave Burger that includes bleu cheese and bacon on a Teri burger. I'm sure they can add it to another burger as well!

    Is this BYOB?

Yes, I just asked them on 9/12/17 in store. It's byob as long as you consume the b inside.

The burger itself tasted good as it was cooked with bread mixed in it to make it soft but once you started eating it, the burger fell apart. The bun was thin so it was messy as the sauce and burger started falling out and you needed a lot of napkins. Some people like it messy but it's not my thing. The onions and pickles were a perfect match. Too much American cheese. ________________________________________________ The Premium Purists: 5/10 I was looking forward to trying the burger at Forty Niners and hoped it would be an old fashioned/traditional style deluxe burger. It definitely had the look and right toppings but the patty was a little disappointing. After my first two bites the patties crumbled into pieces and the texture seemed off. It was too mushy and lacked good beef flavor. After learning they mix breadcrumbs in their burger patty, I think the patties I got were not mixed well and the ratio of beef and breadcrumb was off. That is probably why the texture was off, it lacked beef flavor, and crumbled. I would honestly give it another try and go with a single patty. ________________________________________________ The stack analyst: 7/10 Tried the double cheeseburger(dirty style) at 49ers and it was delicious. The fried pickles were the highlight for me. I love fried pickles and they worked really well on the burger. They also didn't hold back on the caramelized onions, which added flavor. The burger had four slices of cheese, so it was definitely rich. The patty had a nice sear on the outside, it did fall apart though. I would've liked a little more salt, but I know that comes down to preference. Bun was nothing special, just your standard setup, but it got the job done. I'd definitely come back and order it again! ________________________________________________ Double stack daddy: 6/10 The burger had a solid foundation, but it was missing flavor and could've used more seasoning. The biggest downside was the bun--it fell apart after the first bite, making the rest of the meal messy. Not a bad burger, but it didn't stand out, and there's definitely room for improvement. ________________________________________________ Bruddah big buns: 4/10 Da patty was mushy. ________________________________________________ Captain messy hands, keeper of the drip: 8/10

Anyways, I like this location a lot more than the Kapolei location because it's bigger and it's not white light reflecting off white light, much easier on the eyes. I took off two stars because I ordered the same grilled cheese that I did the day before, had a great experience and it was night and day this time around. The one I had in Kapolei was able to melt the cheese, but this one didn't even seem like they tried...so I asked if they could make it again. Understandably, when I asked if they could make it again, they asked what was wrong and I told them the cheese wasn't melted, which sets my expectations for the next one. They made another one (begrudgingly) and I got the same results as far as the cheese. But at least this one was warm so more heat did hit the cheese, but just not enough to melt it per my request. Other than my sad grilled cheese (that wasn't grilled) the fries were great and my friends who got actual burgers were very happy with their food.

Ordered by phone the day prior, and just gave them my phone number as usual (it's how they identify you when you pick up, with no worries about duplicate or misspelled names.). Every time I've ordered in advance, our order has always been packed neatly and ready in a box for takeout. (My brother had brought a box just in case, and smoothly offered it to their staff for someone else's future order.) The restaurant has several tables for dining in, and markings on the floor for those waiting in line. It's brightly lit and clean as well. I appreciate their staff, food, service, and generous servings. They make us look so good with our potluck contributions! So what did we order? Half chicken katsu, half chicken wings, a small platter ($45 for the small pan, but picture a much loaded tray) - it's a great value deal! It was the same order our cousins loved when we brought it on Christmas Day (they especially love the wings, but we love the katsu-so this year we asked for half-half instead of all katsu, and they were so happy, ha ha!) Oh, and they give you a nice big container of yummy katsu sauce;)! I like their panko and cooking method, as whatever they do, the chicken is nice and crisp, and tasty - with, or without the sauce, actually. First time that I actually tried the wings, as I'm not a wing person. (I didn't even try it at Christmas, lol.). But, it was nice and crisp, lightly seasoned, and the wings had lots of meat on them. Easy finger food, and they were not dripping in oil, either, which I appreciated! Also ordered (for the first time) a small platter of chicken chow mein (a little over $30?). It was based on a good recommendation by an admittedly biased family member of the owners, and we were pleasantly surprised! The small pan was covered in wrap and then foil, because the mound of noodles was seriously kinda big! My brother was like, quick, go tell mom to come look before we open it (as she's picky, so it's hard to impress her). It was filled with lots of veggies (sliced carrots, cabbage, onions, etc) and bbq chicken pieces, tossed with great flavor (I want to say it was a nice sauce, but this wasn't a wet noodle dish.). My dad added Chinese mustard soy sauce, but my mom and I thought it was perfect the way it was. Oh, don't laugh, we're only a family of four, so yes, we ate two meals - lunch and dinner - and still packed a ton of leftovers! As we watched the game, we commented to each other what great choices we had made. (We also had sushi trays and other treats, and of course, chips, and my brother's dip. My brother said we may not have had a favorite team to cheer on today, but it was a great excuse for a party, ha ha!) I know we're doing a repeat for our next occasion, for sure! We'll gradually try some of their other foods, and it's farther away than we'd like to drive (I know, it's not that far, but we live on the other side, ok?). My brother agrees it's worth the drive - it's across Aloha Stadium and literally in the same spot as Ice Palace; and we saw quite the line at the Taco Bell drive through when we were looking for parking;). He also compared it to the cost and serving size of what we ordered on New Year's, from a restaurant much closer to where we live. Hands down, it was not even a close comparison, his emphasis added. So go here, it's perfect for family dinners and potlucks and I hope you agree with my assessment;)! Oops, I didn't take any pictures, aiya!!!

The service was very friendly and the server was incredibly knowledgable about their menu and how what made some of their dishes stand out from what's expected. The Li Hing Mui Sweet Potato Fries are a must! They totally reminded me of my childhood and the kind of fries I'd get at the amusement park back in Taiwan. Here's everything we ordered. Every single item was a hit! -stewed egg -stewed tofu -Majiang noodles -Lu Rou Fan -Grandpa Rolling Beef -Scallion Pancake -Fooki Bao -Tofu Bao -Li Hing Mui Sweet Potato Fries -Veggie Scallion Noodles -Fooki Bowl -BoomBoom Chicken If we ever find ourselves back in Aiea again, we will be stopping in!

We have been here several times before and this time we brought the whole gang. Although it was a Friday night, we came earlier than normal and were able to be seated immediately. All the tables were taken, but it wasn't too loud or crazy. Our service was great. I chose their Classic Beef Noodles which were great! The beef broth was flavorful. The beef slice was tender. The noodles were cooked well. Honestly, it was great. The portions could be a little better. So, from a cost-to-value perspective, that could be better. All in all, it was great.

Finally visited our neighborhood golfing range cafe!…read more Didn't care for the other menu after Asian Grindz closed...Miss seeing David, but glad we have a different Menu / different cooks now... & it's still Asian local flavors! Fried Udon with beef was really good! We also tried the Fried Udon with chicken ~ also very tasty! I had the Salmon Salad that includes one scoop of brown rice. It had garlic & green onion on the salmon & was a nice presentation. See pics! Also, ordered Chicken Cake Noodle to-go for dinner! Impressive! They give a good portion of food & have affordable prices! Gotta try more! Mahalo!

Before it became…read moreNewtown Cafe, I used to love eating here when it was Newtown Asian Grindz, so I was looking forward to coming back. We ordered the cold ginger chicken, loco moco, pork chop with gravy, and sesame balls. I have to say, I really miss the cold boneless ginger chicken the way it used to be made. It was one of my favorite dishes here. Unfortunately, the food just didn't have the flavor I was hoping for. The pork chop in particular tasted a little off to me, and instead of the Chinese-inspired flavors I remembered, the dishes felt more like local comfort food with a bit of Chinese flair. The overall experience also felt a little lacking in warmth and friendliness. I know many restaurants are facing challenging times, and it's never my intention to leave a low review. I genuinely want local businesses to succeed. But one thing I've learned throughout my food journey is that when food is made with love, you can taste it. It's more than just the ingredients--it's the care, pride, and aloha that come with it. And when that feeling is missing, you notice it too. This is simply my honest experience. No hate, just Queenie keeping it real. I'm hoping this was just an off day, and I truly wish them the best moving forward.
