The employee was about to begin making a new one without acknowledging my question, then stopped and said "well it's always like that because we just put the mix in". I was expecting another offer, but nothing. I recommend making the shake AFTER you finish the food. Fresh shake mix and letting a shake sit on a counter for 15onutes are 2 different things, and either way, each should have some kind of resolution. read more

Pretty decent burger joint. The food was good, but in my opinion, it wasn't worth the price. Ordering here is different from other places. You have to specifically order every vegetable or condiment that you want on your burger. I could see that being a good option for some, but I'd rather just order a standard burger and then add on the other things. The peanut station is also a nice touch. It's something I haven't seen at any other restaurant, and it's kind of fun to make your own and snack on it while you wait for your food. My biggest issues with this place was the price. We ordered two burgers, two drinks, and fries; and we paid nearly $40. This was rather expensive for a burger joint, but I guess that's the going rate for these types of spots. read more

Instead we got overpriced, dry, bland burgers with teeny tiny patties that took 20 minutes to make on a slow Thursday lunch hour. No wonder the counter staff didn't ask how we wanted the patties cooked! Parties that thin can only be cooked one way: well done. We were so excited to try this place out. It was one of the first locations to open on the island and the lines were crazy. So my office decided that it was going to order online and then just pick up. It actually worked out really well. When we got the food back to the clinic, and I finally got to bite into these sought after burgers.... I was slightly disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the burger was a GOOD burger, but for me it wasn't as good as Teddy's. Maybe it's the seasoning in the meat or how they cook it, but I just prefer Teddy's. The burger itself was juicy and the toppings were fresh. The fries were decent too and I enjoyed the Cajun seasoning on them. I thought they were a bit pricier than Teddy's but didn't offer much to me that would compensate the difference in price. Five Guys Burgers and Fries located at the Town Center of Mililani. Right next door to Ninja Sushi and walking distance to the Consolidated Theaters. My kid sister wanted to try this place out when it first opened up. Just this past Friday December 16, 2016 was the first time that my sister, mom, and I stepped foot into this burger joint. I noticed the bags of peanuts and potatoes in front of the counter. I also noticed the two touch screen Coke fountain drink machine and the iced tea section along with the condiments. We studied the menu board. At one point we had to let customers go before us since we were still undecided of what to order. My kid sister finally decided on the little cheeseburger with ketchup. Mom decided on the little hamburger with lettuce and ketchup. I decided on the regular hamburger with ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and mayo. I placed our orders to the employee who greeted us. We each decided to get a regular drink and one regular fries to share amongst the three of us. The total amount for our meal was over $40.00. Dang...that's an expensive meal. Both my kid sister and mom opted to make iced tea for their drinks while I went for a Coke/Sprite mix. Drinks are free refills...best to get your monies worth since the regular cup (22oz cup) cost over $3.00. We found a table that sits four. I noticed there were other four seater tables as well as a tall table that sits about eight individuals. There are more four seater tables outside of the restaurant. Customers can choose to dine inside the restaurant or dine outside. Once our number was called I noticed that all the burgers and fries were packed into one paper bag. Each of the burgers were numbered. The little burgers had one patty while my regular burger had two patties. The fries was put into a white cup. Apparently the cup was too small since there were more fries in the bag after I took the cup of fries out of the bag. My kid sister and I laughed at all the extra fries in the bag. I told her that she can share the cup fries with mom and I'll eat the ones in the bag. My regular burger tasted okay. I wished there was more ketchup and mustard on it. The fries according to mom looked burnt and it was on the greasy side. Fries gotten cold real fast as well. While eating my burger I noticed one of the employees wipe down some tables. She missed the one table that was dirty...I guess she did not want to bother the customers who were sitting down at the table waiting for their number to be called. I also witnessed another employee sweeping up the floors. Now that my kid sister, mom, and I know how much this food establishment costs...I don't think it will be on our radar anytime soon. They even did the receipt right with it taped to the bag but ultimately failed to put the right order in. The price of the burger and fries are also steep, but I suppose within the norm of a specialty burger place. I hear good things about the shakes, but don't care about free peanuts in-restaurant. Also, if given a choice, would prefer thinner and crispier cut fries with garlic topping but their cajun powder was well distributed but this is the style that they do it in. It was a block from my high school and we would pool our money and grab lunch there... it was all about the FRIES. A hole in the wall where a bunch of broke teens in South Arlington could get great food. So needless to say I was emotional when I found out about Five Guys comng to my new hometown. One day at work, I was talking to my co-worker about the different eateries in Hawaii (she's from the mainland). I asked her about Five Guys and she says that their burgers are just as good at the Mililani location and back home. Suddenly, I was craving for a burger! I have been wanting to try this place for sometime now. My boyfriend and I headed to Five Guys in the early evening. It wasn't too busy when we went; there was no line. We ordered and shared the little bacon burger (all the way), little fries and Oreo milkshake; our total with tax came out to $18.33. While waiting, we were munching on peanuts, mini trays provided. Our meal was delicious and enough for the two of us we got full quick. The Oreo milkshake was my favorite; it was creamy but still drinkable through a straw. The cashier that assisted us was friendly, helpful and knowledgable. He made some recommendations for us on what to order and little fries (enough for the two of us) and oreo milkshake (most popular shake), and told us the difference between the little and regular burgers. All in all, good food and customer service but it is too pricy one meal (everything is ala carte). I would go here for the convenience and if I'm really craving for a burger. I've been to this location many times. It's not perfect but this visit was the one that would make me not return. First of all how are you working in customer service and rude as hell? If you can't handle working for a business that gets business (like a successful business does) then you don't need to work there. If you can't handle the pressures of being a supervisor and helping customers who have questions or needs while doing your job then a supervisor position in a fast food, service restaurant is not for you. The crew who worked on the night of 08/19/2021 was a bad representation of your company. Their attitudes were crappy and their actions weren't that of someone who is working for a company who is in the business of customer service. As someone who has many years in customer service and working in the food industry, this is not how employees in this industry should be treating customers. Not matter how busy the store is. As expected several things have changed since the grand opening, all the hype has worn down and the restaurant has fallen into a normal routine. The staff here have become normalized to the day by day operation of the location and as such they are not as cheery or wide eyed and waiting anymore which is to be expected 3 years down the line. So. . .why are they losing a star? When this location first opened we had major hype due to the fact that Mililani had been graced with the one and only 5 Guys Hawaii location, we were the first people to experience the restaurant that allowed you to throw peanuts on the floor. Now that other locations exist there is nothing that makes this specific one stand out. You get great food, fresh and hot just like the other 2 locations. We will continue to come here just because we like good food but if you've been to 5 Guys then you've been here. read more

The only food that's fresh is the burger that they cook in front of you. The fries aren't fresh. This is the second time I've been there in a week. Both times the fries are stale. Seems like they only cook new batch of fries when there's no fries in the bin. With their high price you'd think every food would be freshly cooked. If you see fries in the bin, it's best you don't order fries or ask for freshly cooked fries. With the attitude of the employees I doubt they would drop fresh fries. Roasted Peanuts don't get it. We came here when five guys first opened. The line was literally around the corner with a wait of about an hour. Luckily my husband stood in line for us while we waited in the car. Free peanuts. Scoop up your own peanuts, eat it while you wait. Since this was our first time we didn't know how big the portions were. We couldn't even finish our food because we ordered so much food! Their shakes are delicious! Food was a little greasy and fries weren't crispy. Second visit here was recently and much better! There were only a couple people in the restaurant and we ordered right away. We were wiser this time and ordered one large fries for all of us to share. Fries were crisper this time. I also got a bacon burger and the bacon was nice and crispy. I was not disappointed this time. However, the only down side is the price, which is a pretty big deal. I used to kill Five Guys back in the day but I think it may have lost its luster. It's still a solid burger but for the price you might be better off heading to Teddy's and getting that combo meal for way less $$$. Fries: Soggy - but if you get a small they really throw two of those cups of fries in the bag for you. If you are not a big fry guy you can share this with 2 Yeeps. Burger - I thought it was me but it was not hot. Cheese was still firm, so I know the burger did not just come off the grill. (See pic) When I bit into it I was like why does this taste cold. The wifey also said the same thing. There looked to be way too many patties on that grill for only 10 people in front of me in line. Disclosure: All I have to say is that if you are going to encounter your Five Guys Burger experience for the very first time because you heard so much from it from people on the mainland, expect to pay 35 to 40 percent more that you would pay on the mainland because we always get taxed for living on this rock we call Hawaii. It's a shame that places like this can command such an absurd price for a burger knowing that we already live In a place where everything is crazy expensive as it is already. What makes these burgers that special that they can charge you 40 percent more it? Did Captain Cook bring these Cows into Hawaii by ship or did King Kamehameha send special canoes out to the Continental US and retrieve them Beef Patties so they can charge us this crazy amount. I was in Vancouver when I first tried a Five Guys Burger and let's just say I ordered the same thing I ordered up there and ended up spending almost 50 bucks here as opposed to spending about 25 bucks for the same exact order. It just doesn't make sense. I understand marking up the prices but at 35 to 40 percent? That's a little to extreme Five Guys. Where's the Aloha here? As for the Burgers, I find them to be quite tasty when I was in Vancouver but when I had the same burger here All The Way, they probably squished my Hamburger Bun All The Way as if someone was massaging my poor Hamburger Bun. And the Beef Patty? What happened to my Beef Patty? I had to look ALL THE WAY into my burger looking for that poor cow and if it were afraid of sticker shock. And the fries? Why do you pride yourself on the fries and where exactly you get the Potatoes from when they are SOGGY and LIMP? Were those French Fries fried in Oil or boiling in Tap Water? All I can say is that this experience here at The Five Guys in Mililani doesn't even come close to my Five Guys Burger experience I had in Toronto and Phoenix. Have you ever had Five Guys? I have once in the mainland and it was nuts. No pun intended. You can get whatever toppings you want on your burger and AYCE peanuts. Peanuts?! So random yeah? Well get ready Hawaii, it's your turn to have Five Guys! They are located in the Town Center at Mililani. I was fortunate to attend a special event before their opening (Tuesday June 28) today and yes it was just as good as I remembered. Yes the prices are a bit higher than your average burger place... but similar prices to a burger place that has more quality like Teddy's. Your meal can be as cheap as $7 and up to $30 depending on what you order. Everything is ala carte. They have fries, hot dogs, veggie sandwiches and of course burgers! And the great thing is Five Guys let's you go bunless too. I love going bunless, I feel so much healthier even if it's messy. And by the way, all toppings are free! So you can totally go ALL THE WAY with your Five Guys or pick just what you like. FYI bigger isn't always better. Remember that. The little sized fries and burger go a long way. The portion was pretty huge which is why I can understand the price. I suggest share a fries and drink, but get your own burgers. They have the touch screen make your own type of soda machine like most places nowadays. We opted for a vanilla Barq's root beer which hit the spot. Oh and don't forget a milk shake. The shakes are creamy and filling! Get a caramel bacon off the menu shake ;) The thing I remembered most about Five Guys were their nuts. You can get a little boat of peanuts to eat with your burger. As a mainlander I've heard of Five Guys lots of times but have never tried it. I always had burger places I knew I loved and I'm a creature of habit. I figured I'd try it one day so when this Hawaii location opened yesterday & my boyfriend said he wanted to risk the line, I knew it was time. Located in the corner of the town center of Mililani past longs, this is actually a quaint joint. Prices are higher than most burger places but the burgers are friggen huge and well worth it. Plus they taste fresh and seriously fill you up. Since it was opening day we did wait 2 hours in line but I think that once the craze of being new dies down, this won't be an issue. So forgetting the 2 hours of my being hangry in line & questioning my sanity, we stepped in the doors and were greeted with a box of free peanuts to spoon into dishes. Munching on these made the final few minutes of waiting seem like nothing and as we stepped up to order, we were more than prepared. The menu is easy: pick your burger and size [plain, cheese, bacon & cheese] or hot dog or sandwich. It's pretty straight forward. You can get lettuce instead of a bun which is a nice option. Now the unlimited free toppings are the fun part. They legit have 10+ choices from veggies to sauces, even extra cheese. I went for a regular sized bacon cheeseburger [this is 2 patties FYI], extra cheese, mustard, jalapeños, BBQ sauce, lettuce, tomato & pickles. Fries are regular or Cajun spiced with two sizes. Now on to the glorious milkshakes. Again, one price, unlimited add ins. I went with a coffee, chocolate & bacon shake - did I forget to tell you bacon is a free shake add in? YAS! - while my BF got Oreo, cherry & peanut butter. We had excellent service for opening day and non stop line. Everyone was lovely and helpful. I have to admit... the burger was pretty delicious. It had dripping BBQ sauce, lots of cheese and the veggies were all so fresh & crunchy. My shake was pure glory. I need one delivered daily. When I got to the bottom there was surprise bacon. We tried Five Guys over the weekend using a gift card we received for Christmas. Food was delicious and milkshakes were very tasty. Wait time was a little long- 25 minutes for 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 milkshakes to go. Good thing you can snack on peanuts while you're waiting. At $9-12 for a burger by itself is a little too pricey for me. If you're looking for a regular/predetermined specialty burgers, fries, plain milkshake or drink you'll get better bang for your buck at Teddy's. If you're going to eat here, you need to go all out to make it worth it (ie. as many toppings/mix ins as you can). For instance we had BBQ bacon cheeseburgers with everything, fries were regular but we should've opted for Cajun flavoring and milkshakes we did strawberry/banana/vanilla for the first one and double stuffed oreos/salted caramel for the second. In hindsight we probably would've added more mix ins to the milkshakes. It was very delicious/filling, but don't think I'll be going out of my way to eat here. read more

After driving 14 miles to experience this new phenomenon of a buger joint on the island, which I have experienced in the mainland many times, I must say i should have listened to the reviews. Sorry Five Guys, but you have much work to do to improve some flaws to get your star status up. In the Mainland, you're a powerhouse, however you still don't match up to that other burger joint who refused to venture out this way, but that's another story. So let me begin by letting you know I came here on a Thursday evening around 7:40 pm. The line was short but managed to get through the front door within 5 minutes. I got my mini bowl of raw peanuts and munched as I waited in line to place my order. Finally after a short wait inside it was time to order. My +1 ordered a Little Cheeseburger with jalapenos, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and mustard ($7.69). Oh and lets not forget the little fry ($4.19). I ordered a regular drink ($3.69) and a chocolate milkshake with whipped cream ($5.69). Just so you know, the prices are about 35%-40% more than the mainland but that's not unusual. That's expected. If you ever ate at The Honolulu Burger Co. They are actually .20 more for a comparable burger. Mind you that a regular burger or cheeseburger comes with 2 patties here which is equivelant to a double Xxl at The Honolulu Burger Co. Seriously look it up. Not complaining about the prices here just making the consumers aware that it's not unusual for the prices to be a tad steep. Getting back to the review......the reason for the 4 star review was because the crew seemed like they were unorganized and in a melee preparing all the orders. Refer back to my order of a little cheeseburger and little fries. That took about 15 minutes for the order to be complete. However, I must say that my chocolate milkshake and drink came out in less than a minute so by the time the rest of the order came out my milkshake was pretty much a chocolate milk with what was once whipped cream. With the amount of staff they had, there should be no reason the trash cans are over flowing and the tables aren't wiped down. I can rightfully say this because I once operated a food service operation feeding over 900 meals a day with minimal staff, but our sanitation standards were high. The fries that are fried in peanut oil were ok and the burger i'm told was good at best. My milkshake or in this case, my chocolate milk was pretty decent. With more training and overcoming the long wait for your meal, this place will be successful. The free raw peanuts were more of a hit during this visit. I would come back here after they have settled down and improve on their shortfalls to see if they can redeem themselves which I know they can. My vote is still with In N Out as the best hands down burger joint, but because the company will not venture this way, we here on the islands will never experience it until we get back to the mainland. At long last, I was able to taste my beloved Five Guys after 6 long years since the last time. FINALLY Hawaii has a place to call "My Favorite Burger Joint". I never thought I would be able to utter those words. It pains me to read all the comments regarding their burgers being "nothing special". Apparently most people don't know what a good burger tastes like and are a bit accustomed to mediocrity. Never again will I step foot in Teddy's or eat a burger from Kua Aina (those fries, tho...get in my belly!) Okay, down to the schematics: LOCATION: Admittedly, we drove around looking for it and parked where we THOUGHT it would be. We were wrong. After taking an extensive detour through the shopping center, we finally found it in a very convenient, very obvious spot - right next to Consolidated Mililani Theater! It's there on the corner. LINE: It was opening weekend, I didn't expect a whole lot in terms of wait time. I knew that, especially going on a Friday night, we would be waiting awhile. The line extended around the corner, at least 50 people deep. But you know what? It only took about 35 minutes to get in the door! Not too bad if you ask me, especially for a burger joint that makes your food ready-to-order. ORDERING PROCESS: Pretty legit! They've upgraded their cash registers in the past 6 years haha. Now, there's a neat little screen you can see your order being entered in as you go and can also pay with credit card using that same device. Our cashier was really awesome! Very patient with any questions we had and changes to our order. FOOD: I was not upset at all at the time it took to get our order out. They have two Coca-Cola create-your-own stations available, you know, the ones where you can pick your drink of choice and add-in flavors. Our shakes came first and they were AMAZING. I ordered cherry and my friend got the Oreo Cookie Bites. She liked mine much better. All shakes come in one size, so that saved me the struggle of having to decide which size I wanted. You have the option of adding whipped cream (free of charge) or not. Finally, they came. Our burgers. Of course, before I could satisfy my palate craving, I had to take the obligatory Yelp photos of our food. But then, the taste-test. OH. MY. BURGER. GOD. Just as I remembered, the savory, juicy goodness melted in my mouth! The "regular cheeseburger" comes with two patties, cheese, and all the toppings you could ask for!! I like to keep mine simple: cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo. My mouth is salivating as I type just thinking about biting into that juicy goodness. My friend enjoyed hers just as much, as this was the first time she's ever had a Five Guys burger!! The "little burger" comes with one patty and all of the above. I've never been the biggest fan of their fries but this location's were okay. I asked for a side of mayo to dip them in :-) I still prefer Kua Aina's fries, though. I live in Ewa (where there will soon be another Five Guys) but am very willing and able to drive my happy, burger-loving butt to Mililani for my weekly kick of Five Guys. Ehhh, I thinks it's overrated or maybe sloppy because they are still new! The burger meat was okay, at least juicy but the bacon was overcooked, bun was soggy. The fries looked like my left over from last night, although it's better with Cajun seasoning. Small size will do if you just wanna try it. The shake was a little sweet for my taste. I'd give them a month to learn and grow, hopefully they'll take more pride of making a better burger. read more

The food was great, but I think their employees need more training. We got here right before 9 PM and ended up being one of the last ones served since they had to cut off the line to close by 10 PM. It took us about an hour for us to get to the front, which was pretty quick for the amount of people in line. We ordered two bacon cheeseburgers, one five guy style and one Cajun fries, and two milkshakes. I immediately realized that they only charged us for one milkshake, so we go to order another one. I explained the situation and the cashier tried to charge us for two milkshakes when I told her I only wanted one more since I already paid for one and she had no idea how to change the order. This was prior to me paying for it, so it didn't make any sense to me that she didn't know how to take it off the order since it wasn't a refund or a void. Finally a lady comes over and tells her not to worry about it and they didn't charge us for the second milk shake. When we got our food we check the bags and realize that we were missing the Cajun fries. The same lady helped us again and gave us a huge bag of what we thought were Cajun fries. When we get home we realize that both of them were five guy style... I understand that it was their grand opening, but making three mistakes for the same order, especially since there was no one else in line seems more like a pattern than a simple error. However, their burgers were really good which is the most important thing here, so I can probably overlook it and come back again. read more

Hard to believe that Five Guys made the jump across the pond to Hawaii. Hawaii folks should be grateful and take a drive over to Mililani and sample what mainlanders have long taken for granted. The opening a few weeks ago saw long lines of anticipation but now, if you get there in between the normal lunch and dinner times, there's no wait and ample space to sit, relax and enjoy. The Little Bacon Cheeseburger, small fries and a drink is all you need to get totally filled up. You need to be super hungry if you plan on ordering a regular size burger. The numerous choices of toppings including onions, pickles, bbq sauce, etc, etc are all available - experience the "all the way" if you have no particular hang ups. After ordering, you can wait at your table with a tray of peanuts and begin drinking one of over a hundred soft drink choices. These two features are unique to Five Guys. The price of a drink is not cheap so try the not-so-conventional and normally unavailable flavors. If you've never been, you could feel overwhelmed... Once you get your order, rip open the bag of fries as the cup inside is overflowing. Use the bag as your makeshift plate. Be prepared with catchup and vinegar as well as a handful of napkins. Dig in and enjoy. Hopefully 5G will expand to town where it'll be more accessible. For now though, Rod York has a great option if he needs any of his lineman to put on a few extra pounds. read more

The price of the items are not matching the quality you get. I tried this place for lunch and the line was non-existent. So I walked up and ordered a bacon cheese burger and a strawberry milkshake. My boss ordered the cajun fries and we shared that. How much did I pay? $17-18 If you tried Five Guys on the mainland, you'll notice the price hike. Hawaii is always more expensive for obvious reasons... The 2 burger patties were juicy, maybe because of the cheese. The cheese didn't have much flavor and the burger didn't have much either. The burger is similar in size to In and Out, but not even close to taste. The price of the burger is very high for what you get. You can choose a bunch of things in your burger, but this is a burger. If the burger sucks, then covering it with tons of toppings is not going to save it. The burger doesn't suck, it just doesn't stand out. The bacon in the burger is amazing, I must say. The bacon is probably baked and gives the burger the most flavor. You can find better burgers for similar prices. The fries are in very big portions. They do taste good. I have no arguments here. You need to air them out so the moisture doesn't soften the fries. The shake is alright. Shakes in general are pretty good, but I don't taste anything special in this case. I can't say I'd get another $5 shake from here. I can't say I'd come back, but if someone wanted to try, I'd come back. There is free peanuts, but I don't care about that. Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Boy was I excited when I heard you were coming to Hawaii. It's been years since I've had one of these fine specimens. So I finally find the time to trek out to Mililani just for these burgers. When we arrive, the first thing we see is a line wrapping around the corner of the store. Thank god there was a small roof above us because it started raining! During our wait, one of the employees walks to each person to pass out a paper menu. Of course there are no prices on this menu though. Once at the door, we are greeted by another employee that is manning how many customers can enter and also to make sure it stays a one way entrance only. Boy are the prices high at this location! Now I know what everyone was talking about the prices being high. They're literally double to what you'll see in the mainland! One thing I'm glad they didn't change is that you can load your burgers with all the toppings for free. Yup, free... They also have a huge box of peanuts free for everyone who waits in line. I end up getting a regular cheeseburger with mayo, lettuce, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup and mustard. Cajun fries was a must for us and thank god we split the regular size. It was a ton of fries in that bag. We actually only ate about half of the fries that was given. We didn't order any shakes but majority of the people in front of us ordered one. What's good about the shakes is that they come out relatively fast, so you can drink them while waiting for your food. My cheeseburger was delicious. The patties were hot and juicy. You can tell that the meat was "fresh" and had no to minimum fillers. I only wished that the grilled onions were cooked/caramelized more. They were pretty raw... And I also wish the bun was a little toasted. It was a little too soft so it had a hard time containing the meat, veggies and sauces. I ended up having to eat my burger with a fork and knife! The fries seemed like they've been sitting in the warmer for a while so they weren't crispy. But they were still full of flavor. All in all the food is good. I deducted 2 starts because of their difference in prices from the mainland chains and also because of the location. read more

I was extremely excited for Five Guys to come down, as we've had it in the mainland and loved it up there. Man, what a disappointment! Although the service is pretty fast considering the crowd they've been having, the quality does not match the prices. $7 for JUST FRIES?! $12 for a burger? For just my husband and I alone it cost $40 bucks, and the burgers were mediocre at best. For those prices we could have enjoyed a really delicious meal at a restaurant. The only thing worth paying for are the milkshakes. Won't be eating here again, unless it's on the mainland. read more

I don't know how to feel about this place. My boyfriend said the burgers were good but I didn't get the same feel. After work we decided to try this place out even if it was the third day opening. When we got there around 6:30PM, the line wasn't as long. So we waited. Honestly I was impressed with how they monitored the lines. It was neat and made way for people dining in and out. I think we waited for 30 minutes until we were finally inside the burger joint. The menu was straight forward. I got the cheeseburger "All The Way" with jalapeños! My boyfriend got the bacon cheeseburger all the way. We also ordered the Cajun style fries & a Chocolate milkshake just for the heck of it! I mean we did wait such a long time! Also, they ran out of hot dog buns when we went. So we couldn't order that. My burger turned out sloppy! The bun was soggy and as I tried to enjoy my burger, it kept falling apart. The Cajun fries were super seasoned, like they threw a whole slab of seasoning and didn't toss it. The milkshake was great. It's a little sweet but if you don't drink milkshakes as often, it's a nice way to treat yourself. Overall, it was an okay experience. I figure when the hype dies down, food will be better. So I'll definitely go back in maybe couple of months. But the location sucks, too bad they didn't open a bigger one on the east side! Went to have lunch as we never tried five guys. Unfortunately we almost cried seeing the prices listed for a single burger. Crazy! Looked around and saw the seating area empty which wasn't a good indication. So we took the time to ask one of their associates who also agreed that the pricing was way too high. I hope the management understands what the perception is to the local public. read more

Took a chance to come here on the 2nd day they've been open. The line wasn't as nearly long as yesterday. I heard it went around the corner front of Longs Drugs. O_o The friendly employee near the door mentioned they had 2000 people come through their doors. WOW! To be honest, I'm going say I can't really give a solid review since I think it's only been open roughly 2 days. I will probably update my review as things settle down. It took 30 minutes from the waiting in line outside, to get inside, to order and finally receiving your food. The employees will ask if you have any questions or if you're unsure about what to order while you're waiting in the line. Also don't forget those free peanuts. Mmmm roasted free peanuts! I ordered a Little Burger. I knew that the little burger is as big as Teddy's 5 oz. The regular burgers have 2 patties in them. As you've seen in other reviews, all the toppings are free! Teddy's maybe cheaper at starting cost for the 5 oz burger, but adding toppings are gonna add up BIG TIME! Props to Five Guys for that! The burger is a bit messy, but hey with all those toppings it can be expected. Ordered a regular fries to share w/a side of Cajun seasoning. I liked the taste of the fries w/the cajun season. I'll admit the fries had too much salt on it and somewhat on the soggier side, but some were crispy, though. The service here was excellent. The employees were helpful when we came in and helping us while we were ordering. I give them props for handling the non-stop crowds of people. Very pricey items for burgers, fries, drinks and shakes. There's free peanuts by the main entrance and snacking on them since your order can take 5-10 minutes. The place was very busy with no free wifi. For a party of 2, a table inside opened up in 5 minutes around noon when we went. Ordered a little bacon cheese burger and all toppings are free according to sign so I got mayo, ketchup, lettuce, tomato and onion. A friend went a few weeks ago and the price went up. the sign said $8.09 for the little bacon cheeseburger and my friend said it was $7.99 last time as this place is still opened for a month now or so. Got a large drink and small fries and the grand total was under $15. The burger quality was just okay. Nothing that special. The fries tasted fresh and the burger was grilled when ordered. I was very excited to try out the Five Guys location in Hawa'i, but I didn't have the greatest experience. FOOD: 3/5 I can't say that I enjoyed the food. I got the Little Cheeseburger with onions, mushrooms, ketchup, tomatoes, and lettuce. It was nearly $8 and I am not sure why. The burger was small and cold. My cheese wasn't melted like most cheeseburgers, and I was underwhelmed by the flavors. The actual hamburger patty was small, so I can't say that it was worth the price. Although you get free toppings, I don't think that adding anything else would have helped my experience. I got the cajun fries, too. Those were pretty good. The seasoning was good, but for $5 or so for a small, I didn't really my french fries worth. On top of that, my dining partner got a chocolate shake, which was small in portion, for nearly $6. She said that she would have rather gone to McDonalds because the flavor was just the same. It was a little too pricey for food that just wasn't up to par. SERVICE: 3/5/5 The cashier that helped us was very nice. She explained the menu to us and answered any questions we had. There wasn't too much other interaction with workers besides that point, so there isn't much that I can add about my service experience. You get complimentary peanuts that are self-service, so that was interesting. LOCATION: 4/5 The location is good. Mililani is a good place to have a restaurant since it is in Central O'ahu, so that's a plus. I don't have too much to say about the location except for that it is at Mililani Town Center and there is a lot of parking. It is right next to the Mililani Theatre, so you can catch a movie right after you dine. I don't think I will be coming back here, though. The price isn't justified by the quality of food, service, or the location. I really wanted to love it, though. read more

We must have come during shift change around 3:30 pm because there were more kids with their uniform on crawling around the place than customers. Young people aren't always thoughtful and sometimes they can be loud and in the way. We made the mistake of sitting next to the door to the kitchen and that door opened every single minute we were there. Especially with the workers that were just floating around. Some just playing around.... But they are kids, so the behavior is on point. They should still have front of the house rules, nonetheless. This was our first time here and I'm just blown away at the prices. I've never heard of Five Guys and I just don't believe what we have consumed here today was worth the $35 spent. Two Little Cheeseburgers, one grilled cheese, 1 regular fry and 2 regular sodas. The burger flavor was decent, the fries were good, but presentation just does not justify the price tag. I'm hoping that my pictures will tell the rest of the story. I don't know who thought it was a genius idea to have those fancy coke dispensers with all the different flavors. Let me say my preference will always be your old school Coca Cola. Remnant crazy flavors like lime or vanilla syrup end up being in my drink. Bleh! I'll go to Teddy's and spend my $40 there instead.
