This place isn't not budget friendly, unless they are paying their workers $20 an hour. 2 cheese burgers 2 drinks 1 large fry and a plain hotdog was $41. Yes we could have went else where, but as you know when you drag kids out of a vehicle to come in an eat it's not worth the trouble of trying to load hangry people back up. It is 5 Guys burgers, most people know what to expect. For those burger fans who have never been here this is the best fast food burger ever. All the toppings you want for the same menu price. Shakes are really good, I mean better than most fast food places, and just like the burgers allow any toppings you want shakes allow any mix one you want. Fries are good, also one of the best in any fast food place, and there is always a sign telling you where the potatoes came from. Be mindful of what size fries you order, they also dump in a lot of extra. I eat a lot and a small is more than enough for me. For anyone who has been to a 5 Guys already, this one is a little smaller than a stand alone location since it is on a food court, but it is still good. Hubby, Father-in-law and I popped in to eat while visiting the Tanger Outlets in Myrtle Beach. Elijah J. Was our cashier. He was terrible. He didn't even greet us when we walked up. He didn't speak to us until we spoke first and then asked us several times to repeat our order and didn't even read it back to us like he did with the other customers. The food was fine but the service was not. Very unpleasant experience. Next time we'll go to Charleys. read more

I love Five Guys! This one that I went to though had a couple problems. The fries that I got was supposed to be a large but they didn't even feel up the cup and the fries that I did get were overcooked and cold. The burger was good but the fries left me wanting more FRESH fries. read more

When a Hot Dog, Burger, and a Large Fries comes out to 12 bucks, you know a burger has been inflated by hype. That's what keeps this rating from going from 4 to 5. *As a West Coast comparison though, these burgers are not as tasty as those found at In-N-Out. Their fries however, dominate. Otherwise pros: (1) Free unshelled peanuts for snacking while you wait! (2) Regular burger has two patties at baseline (3) Unlimited toppings at no charge. (+grilled mushrooms and onions) (4) Hot dog is split in half and grilled for good surface area crunch. Boiling is not cool (5) FRIES: cooked in peanut oil, which has a high smoking point, which allows for more crisp fries that those you can get at most fast food establishments (6) FRIES: a large comes in a large cup AND the fry guy fills another cup with fries and dumps it into your take-out bag in a big greasy, pleasant surprise. You get essentially two fries for the price of one. UNREAL. Cons: (1) Limited burger sauce offering. Needed that delicious In N Out Thousand Island or something remotely similar. Ordered a regular size fries and got a small. Asked for was told extra was added. NOT!! Top bun on burger was ice cold. Refund called for. Thank you for my refund. FYI! Cook your fries a little longer so they are more firm instead of looking like noodles. read more

This place is a disgrace to the Five Guys name; we are a regular Five Guys client where ever we go we always stop in... This is located inside the food court of the Tanger Outlet Mall in North Myrtle Beach SC. When we arrived there, there was one gentleman already waiting on his order that was standing up by the counter; and a little old lady in front of us that was placing an order and the cashier Alan W. couldn't have been any ruder or disrespectful to elders... He didn't greet nicely and rolled his eyes when he had to point out where the sweet tea was for the old lady....seriously......if you don't like your job, quit and work some place else that you may enjoy better. I wouldn't even give this one a 1 star......but being a true yelper and fan of great food...understand.... The gentleman with the sleeves (tattoo's) nothing against them at all...have plenty myself and I couldn't see his name so.... Also wasn't looking to happy to be there and wasn't in any hurry to processing any of the orders.... we ordered our food at 6:34:51 exactly still have the receipt LOL; saved it just so I could make sure my post was as accurate as our experience. And we didn't receive our order until 25 mins later 7:00 pm...............not until another worker blonde girl came in to work, should have gotten her name; she started busting out the orders and the two other boys went seemed on break. They (the 2 boys) even holler out the numbers loud enough for you to hear your order number and food court wasn't even busy; after getting up once to what I thought was my order since he was barely speaking I spoke up to him (sleeve tattoo kid) and said you need to speak up and call out the numbers clearly so everyone can hear you. This isn't not the Five Guy way at all; and whomever is the GM of this location or franchise owner you need to be aware and maybe make some changes; for loyal customers like us will not come to your location. read more

This was my first experience with this chain and I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. I've heard of the chain before and given the choices at the outlet mall food court, I decided to go for it. The ultimate deciding factor was that there was a huge line for this place while most of the others had no line at all. I don't mind waiting for some good food if it's worth it, so I got in line. There were 7 people in front of me yet the line moved quickly. I got the basic cheeseburger with grilled onions and mushrooms. My daughter got a hot dog and we split a large order of fries. The large order was huge! We split it with my sister and her son and still had left over. The burger came with a double patty which surprised me because I wasn't aware the basic burger was a double. The taste was delicious, the mushrooms and onions were tasty and fresh. The burger got a little messy and the bun was soggy by the time I finished off the last bite, but it was still delicious nonetheless. I was at the Five Guys in Kings HWY today at the Outlet Mall. What a shock! There were two women working behind the counter at 1:30pm. No one in line, upon approaching the one blond rolled her eyes as if she didn't want to be bothered. I should have turned around right then, but Five Guys has always been great. She was rude, we placed the order #63 and waited. Watching as others approached (the women were talking and laughing behind the center station) she rolled her eyes every time. I guess she did not want to be disturbed. Getting our order the fries which I have always recommended to everyone were greasy soggy and nasty, the little bacon cheeseburger was cold the cheese was not melted just a slice thrown on a burger. I don't know what has happened to the franchise but I will never eat there again. read more

Five Guys is ok but the burgers are better at Salt Creek and Quigley's. Better meat and much better taste. Both have better atmosphere with music on certain nights. A little more expensive but well woth it. read more

Pretty disappointed in this particular location, I must say! We are, overall, big fans of five guys and were happy to see one at the Tanger Outlet's food court! We ordered the exact same thing we've ordered so many times at Five Guys; "two little bacon cheeseburgers with crispy bacon---" at which point the gal with the bleach blonde hair at the register (who suddenly turns into a mouth breather with a slightly confused and perturbed stare) interrupts my wife and says, "It's already cooked. We can't do that!" I politely asked if it wasn't possible to place the "already cooked" bacon back on the hot grill for a moment to make it a bit crisper? She again insisted, "It's already cooked!" I assured her that I understood that the bacon had already been cooked. I asked if perhaps she could ask the cook if it wasn't possible to lay the bacon back on the grill... the one right there in the kitchen that EVERY other Five Guys on the planet that I've ever been to uses to crisp the bacon before placing it on the cheeseburger that I'm paying for? I left the last part out of course, but it was all going through my mind as I was trying desperately to see if somehow my request was even slightly unreasonable. It was when the cook looked at me as if had just flown in on a lunar lander that I decided that maybe it was better to just forget about the burger and get a piece of crappy pizza at the restaurant next door. This was a very odd experience at Five Guys. The one in our area, that we frequent regularly, is awesome! The staff is courteous and even extremely unusual requests like "crispy bacon" are cheerfully accommodated! This particular location at the Tanger Outlet Mall has a huge opportunity for improvement. It's a sad day that I eat crappy pizza over Five Guys! But, unless serious changes are made at this location, I'll gladly eat crappy pizza over being treated rudely by ditzy cashiers at this particular location. read more
