    Five guys location

Honestly, a zero star would be more fitting. I walk into the five guys today to order a hotdog and they told me they would not be able to take my order because frankly they're too busy. I don't know who the CEO of five guys but having a business that we don't want your business and knowing that my kid had to be turned away, couldn't even is the worst I've ever honestly you guys should be ashamed of yourself I would never have a business turn away a customer id try to always to earn the business. Shameful

Back at another Five Guys, second time this week. The first one I went to in LA came out so bad, I was actually embarrassed to post the photos. So I came to a different location today just to try again and get better pics. I even told the cook, "Hey, can you make it look good? I'm doing a little photo shoot," and they told me they couldn't serve the burger without it being folded up in the wrapper. Kinda funny. I was like, "Okay, just lightly roll it so it doesn't get smashed." When I got my order, the burger was sitting at the bottom of the bag underneath what felt like five pounds of fries. Way more than I even wanted. And when I pulled it out, everything was glitched. I gave up. These are the pictures I ended up with. Apparently, Five Guys really isn't about presentation, even when you personally ask them to make it look decent for a picture. The flavor's still there. When you go "all the way," you get mayo, lettuce, pickles, tomato, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, grilled onion, and mustard. I always add A1 sauce. But their buns just don't hold up. The burger I had a few days ago fell apart in my hand, and today's did the same. They seriously need to work on that. I've been to Five Guys a ton of times over the years and honestly, I think they're starting to lose their charm. Sure, they were named best burger by a bunch of magazines, but that was like ten years ago. Now there are so many other burger chains out there that are just killing it. Five Guys? I think I'm over it. Fries might be good. Burgers might still taste okay. But they're not at the top anymore. Not even close.

Free peanuts! I wanted to try the Cajun Fires, they were just OK. I think I like regular fries, which are the bomb. Hot, soft inside, salty, little bit of grease. No need for ketchup, but it's there and so is malt vinegar if you want. I stopped in after a rare Angels home game win for a quick snack. There were a few Angels fans that also came here after the ball game. Little Cajun Fries $5.29 Regular soda $3.39

I ordered their Topa Topa Burger, Okonami fries and a Dr Pepper to drink. We sat outside on the patio since it was a nice evening at the time. All our food came out pretty quickly and around the same time as we had ordered one after the other. My burger was delicious! All their burgers here are made from wagyu meat. Mine came with sliced avocado (pretty much half of an avocado) which was ripe, smooth and creamy. It also came with crunchy onion strings and their special Topa Topa sauce and of course some kewpie mayo and shredded cabbage. The cabbage was super crunchy and fresh. The buns were super soft and toasted perfectly. The fries were alright. The Okonamiyaki style was unique and the toppings were tasty. My Dr Pepper was a little too sweet, maybe it was more syrup than carbonated water. Overall the burgers here were great! I also got an order for my boyfriend later that night. Ordering to go was super easy. My boyfriend devoured his Spicy Miso burger. Service here was great as well. Would come back for the burgers!

No dedicated lot, but between the street parking and the nearby structure, it's an easy win. It's a quick, casual setup with limited seating inside plus shared patio space next door, but the service makes the experience shine. The cashier was friendly, knowledgeable, and super helpful for our first visit, walking us through the menu like a pro. Let's talk about the star: Wagyu beef burgers done RIGHT. The Topa Topa burger was next-level, that garlic Dijon sauce mixed with Japanese mayo is dangerously good. The Chief Peak was solid, but just didn't quite hit the same highs for me. And the fries? Oaji understood the assignment. They have a whole lineup of loaded options, but the Shake Shake fries with garlic truffle completely stole the show. Crispy, bold, and wildly addictive. Bonus: they also offer salads, chicken sandwiches, and rice bowls if you're trying to be "balanced." Oaji is officially on my repeat list ! Too many burger and fry combinations here to ignore. If you're in Old Towne and even thinking about a burger, this is the move.

I wanted to share some comprehensive feedback regarding a recent experience, aiming to highlight both your successes and areas where further refinement could elevate the customer journey even further. First and foremost, I must commend your team for their exceptional warmth and hospitality. From my initial phone call to the moment I picked up my order, I felt genuinely welcomed and valued. This level of customer service, which often feels lacking in many establishments today, truly sets American Grub apart. It creates a welcoming atmosphere that significantly enhances the overall experience, and I sincerely hope this commitment to friendliness remains a cornerstone of your operation. However, I encountered a couple of points that, in my personal opinion, warrant consideration for improvement. Regarding the payment process, I felt a degree of apprehension about providing my credit card details over the phone. While I understand the operational need to secure orders and prevent potential losses, particularly for larger transactions, for a single item like my bacon cheeseburger, priced at $17.24 including tax, this practice felt somewhat disproportionate. I also noted the 99-cent fee for online payments, which, while minor, might deter some customers who are seeking convenience without additional charges. Perhaps exploring alternative secure payment links for phone orders or adjusting the fee structure for smaller transactions could enhance customer comfort and streamline the process. My primary concern, however, arose upon returning home. Despite ordering a bacon cheeseburger, I discovered the burger completely lacked bacon, as well as any form of sauce or mayonnaise. This oversight had a significant impact on the meal; the absence of these core components rendered the burger quite bland and far from the experience I had anticipated. When ordering a single item, the expectation for meticulous attention to detail is particularly high, as there are fewer variables. Consequently, the overall value of the meal, given the missing ingredients, was not quite met on this occasion. I did reach out to the owner privately via email to discuss these points, and I appreciate their responsiveness and transparency in addressing my feedback, particularly concerning the rationale behind the phone payment policy. It is reassuring to know that your business is open to customer input. My hope is that these observations can serve as constructive input, allowing American Grub to continue refining its excellent service and product quality. I remain a supporter of your local endeavor and look forward to seeing these aspects addressed. Thank you for reaching out. To clarify, all my reviews and communications are crafted solely from my personal experiences and genuine perspectives, not AI. Every word and insight you read is authentically mine, driven by my commitment to provide honest feedback. Even though the review was long..(lol) I wanted to make sure the details are accurate and understandable. Plus I think you and your establishment are great and I wanted to detail that as well Kimberly.
