I finally caved in and joined my husband for my first trip to Five Guys. I was craving French fries, so I ate way more than I should have while my husband ate the burger. The fries were delicious in the first bite, but way too salty. My favorite thing about this place is the assortment of toppings. I absolutely love the fact that you can order a burger with things like mushrooms and jalapenos. And the prices were just right - considering it's hard to get a burger & fries for under $10 at the other burger places in the Baldwin Park/Winter Park area. read more

Went with family visiting from out of town. It was during the "5th of July" huge block party and first Friday event. You know who can't handle a little rush? These guys. Ordered 4 burgers, every single one of them was incorrect, they just gave us 4 of the same burgers. They were so busy and we were hungry enough so we just ate what we are given but pickier eaters beware. We frequent this location for quick, easy take out burgers and fries. After placing our order online, it said it would be ready at 6:13. At 6:20 we showed up to pick up our order and went to the pick up counter. The employee said they were just waiting for our fries (which is fine). However, they served everyone who came after us AND in person orders first before making another entire batch of fries to give to us. This made us have to wait at least 15 minutes longer at the counter for a pick up order. Once arriving home, our large fry order was about half full with none in the bottom of the bag which is usually what we expect from Five Guys. We'll be going to a different location from now on despite the convenience of living in Baldwin Park due to the high wait time for an order placed ahead of time and the LESS than friendly staff working here. read more

i came in here after spending some time at tactical nearby. there were definitely more than 5 guys working here but the food was great.

Yup, that's right, I'm about the last person to review 5 guys. I finally made it to one and I gotta say, they got it down. Ordering is simple, it moves quick, the kitchen is wide open so you can see what's going on, and the food is prepared quickly. The restaurant was clean and the staff was super friendly. Everyone I made eye contact with smiled, which also made me wonder if I had rubbed off one of my eyebrows or something. My burger was juicy, cooked properly and had all the delicious toppings I asked for. The fries were astoundingly delicious, with just enough salt and SQUEE they had malt vinegar! Before I left my house I stuffed my bottle of vinegar in my purse since I'd never been here before, but I was delighted to see it sitting there like a shining diamond next to the ketchup. Bravo! Yes I did that. You don't? Don't lie. I can definitely say I'll be back, after a month of salads and yogurt. It's ok to splurge every once in a while. 5 Stars for 5 Guys! This place has the best burger I have ever tasted. The Bacon Cheeseburger is more than enough for a lunch alone. The staff at this location has a system in place for identifying large parties walking in the door by calling out the number and the cooks starts dropping patties! No long wait for your food and the portions of fries are overwhelming. The regular burger comes with two patties and the little burgers are single. Best thing is to order a burger and share a large order of fries with friends! *Warning* You will NOT enjoy another fast food restaurant burger the same way again after eating one of these! Everyone who knows me knows that a burger usually is not my first choice. I was in Baldwin Park visiting some friends and saw that they had a Five Guys. I have never been to Five Guys before this experience, but i will be back. I thought it was genius to limit the options to the menu, honestly when too many items are on the menu i could spend days trying to decide, so i found the simplicity very attractive. I wasn't that hungry so i just got the Little Cheeseburger... It was amazing! I loved being able to watch the burgers creation from beginning to finish.. and don't even get me started about the fries! They were so good and fresh! These burgers are awesome! Be careful, though... they will put you in a food coma afterwards :). Also keep in mind that an order of fries is enough for two people. They will fill the cup up and then put another scoop of fries into the bag (its alot). By far one of the best burgers I have had but then again I havent tried In and Out. read more

Yum! Had to try it after I saw a special on Five Guys franchises. They have their own potato supplier for their french fries. The french fries are fresh cut with skins on. They offer malt vinegar for the fries, and ouwee is that a great combo. The regular burger is served with two patties and the grilled flavor is lovely. Toppings are free and fresh. We went on a Sunday around 12:30 and, although they were busy, we were served quickly. I will drive to Baldwin Park just for Five Guys. read more

Everyone knows the best burgers are made by In n out. And since I'm 3 thousand miles away from the closest one, then I'd have to settle for Five Guys. It really isn't like settling, more like a pleasant consolation prize. It can be a bit on the greasy side but what burgers aren't? The fries are great and you always get more than what you can eat. The ingredients always taste fresh. I love the fact that everything is prepared and cooked in front of you like they don't have anything to hide. I am a fan of Five Guys any way (the original Five Guys is the best back home), so I wasn't surprised that this place was pretty much the same as all of the others. Not really much else to say, the service was good. I was surprised to see that the kitchen was as clean as it was. I guess the stores I go to back home are dirty because of how old they are, but it's part of their charm. This place has the feel of just another franchised Five Guys, but all of them do except for the 2 back home. Ventured into Five Guys yesterday and it was awesome. I got my food very quickly and as always, the burger was amazing. I'm always down for a little grease. Here's a tip if you go... even if you are with other people, get a regular fry and share. I was with a friend and we got the large... and by large I mean a huge cup full of fries as well as half a paper bag of fries. Walked in shortly after the lunch rush today. Was promptly greeted and by all the staff. My order was taken by an experienced employee that knew what he was doing and talking about. My gf was not ordering anything but he still checked to see if she needed anything and offered her a cup for water. Looking around the establishment it was clear it had been cleaned and maintained. You know these burgers are special when you get a few for takeout, pass them out to everyone, and it takes people more than halfway through their burger to realize they weren't even chomping on the one they were supposed to get. Horizons were expanded and the world became a little closer when people who normally swore off raw onions and pickles were now fans. Devotees of mustard only were suddenly open to ketchup. Naysayers of relish were now fanatics of the tiny green squares. A mini United Nations disguised in a bun. Oh and 5 Guys portions are almost really for 5 Guys, super generous portions. The fries are best when eaten right away while super hot. Crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. Get the Little portions unless you really are ravenous. Give it 4.5 stars. A few weeks back a friend I decided we wanted to grab a bite too eat and we decided why not. Not bad of day either. Dogs were barking, birds were chirping, and turtles were doing what they loved out on the water. As I walk into the joint, I noticed the tables we're unkempt. I didn't think too much of it at first but I noticed several employees just hanging around. It's my turn to order, it's a simple order which I still think to be overpriced for fast food, and I noticed as I'm talking with the cashier that she is acting a little different when it's my turn to order - the same feeling as a cold shoulder that just felt unwelcoming. I hand her my debit card and she requests to see my ID - she didn't ask my buddy yet she asked me and my order was much less than his. I don't see the purpose in doing so - it's a transaction for a burger and drink. Anyways, I didn't have my ID with me so I head outside to grab my ID and I'm back in 45 seconds max and I present my ID and pay for my food. That's when I noticed the price was much higher than it was before I stepped outside - about $4-6 more. I let her know that there maybe a mistake with the price and she seems confused but she's standing her ground until I am visibly angry - I calmed down. She then issues a cash refund, but I request that it be fully refunded back to my card. She says there is nothing she can do about it. At this point I'm just livid - I just need to take a seat. She stares at me as I think she felt she won. I'm now sitting at a disgusting table in a place I no longer respect because of this young lady. I wouldn't say write of the joint all together but I think this location in general need to take a look at itself before conducting business again. read more

Wow - I have ordered from here in the past and it HAS been terrific HOWEVER on Saturday, March 4th they were totally off their 'game'. No sure who the manager was but I would never order with her working there again. I ordered 3 burgers for my family after a busy day, went to pick them up and came home to eat - but ALL 3 were wrong! I actually drove back to have them fixed and the manager was actually giving me a hard time about it while the young woman working the register was mouthing 'I'm so sorry"!!! You could feel the tension in the place and none of the staff working would look at one another as the manager yelled at everyone. She must have said at least five times that she could not take incorrectly prepared burgers back because it was a health violation. I get it but you had 45 minutes to prepare 3 burgers correctly and when you get it wrong you give me a hard time? WOW not sure I will go back to that location. Could have been a bad day but I think the owners need to reconsider who they have working the grill and managing the staff - perhaps this woman would be better off doing something else. The poor guy waiting next to me who said he was a lawyer said he was getting stressed out just watching what was going on behind the counter!!! Messed up order and difficult pick -up ...after a long day, I'll go somewhere else. read more
