Family wanted a good burger and our Normal spot was closed. We decided to check this place out. We are creatures of habit so going somewhere new is hard for us. So GLAD we took the plunge. Burgers were bomb!! The fries were pricey and nasty af!! I mistakenly ordered 2 large fries and it was $12, and we didn't even finish 1 order. They were gross!! Truly remarkable for a fast food joint. I've only tried Five Guys a small handful of times but each has been exceptional. This location is very conveniently situated at the base of The Collection with ample parking. It offers good visibility from the road and is very easy to spot. The dining room is large and reminiscent of other Five Guys locations. I happened to come during Covid when all the tables were stored away. There was no place to sit (which is expected) so I took my food and ate outdoors. Service was friendly and my food was remarkable. It's not cheap but is incredibly filling and has an awesome flavor. Simple, to-the-point but very fresh. I hope to be back the next time I'm in Oxnard! read more

When I get a craving for a milk shake this is where I go now. Favorites include their cherry, or a strawberry-bacon milk shake. Last time the shake wasn't blended up enough and all the bacon was in pieces too big for any to fit through a straw but I still can't complain too much. So yummy. I also love their fries. Fries + shake = dinner. Mmmmm. Store is clean and they've moved all the tables out of the way so it's a big empty space for customers to socially distance while waiting. Staff has been friendly and polite every time I've visited. Overall good quality ingredients and fair price. I'll return! read more

Five Guys Burgers and Fries was an A-OK experience. I feel like my $19 could have been better spent at In-N-Out or The Habit but it's good for a friend's first time here :) My cheeseburger had BBQ sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms (pretty simple nothing too crazy) and I thought it was juicy and mediocre. This place is pretty good. Careful though because the cost of your meal can add up since everything is purchased separately. Travis and Kaitlyn (don't know if I spelled her name correct) are AWESOME! I walked in with my boyfriend to get some food with him, on his lunch break, I noticed they had braille gift cards. The inclusivity meant a lot to me as my mom is loosing her sight due to cancer complications. It was THE first spot I have been to that was so delicious, diverse and great service. I recommend the bacon cheeseburger with two Patties, my boyfriend loved it and always wants to come back. Also get the Cajun fries! Bacon Cheeseburger was delicious. The mushrooms in the burger were yummy. We ordered cheeseburgers "all the way" style, which includes many condiments and veggies. Soda is bottled soda for now, for safety reasons. A "burger" comes with 2 patties, and a "little burger" comes with one. A regular order of fries can be shared. Red Robin was closed, so we came here. You can order online and do curbside pick-up right now. The other option is to call it in for pick-up or go in and order for take-out. Love the burgers here. Always get great customer service. My order has never been wrong and I enjoy the add on options they have. Love the A-1 steak sauce. Free peanuts and you can throw the shell on the floor. The smallest size of fries is usually enough for 2 people. The only thing I wish they had was ranch and this place would be perfect. read more

We were craving a hamburger and we decided to go to Five Guys because it was actually slow instead of the insane can't get into parking lot at the Collection. First of all the parking lot was still full but there was only a few customers in the restaurant. We ordered a cheese burger which happens to have a double patty so if you want a single patty you need to order a little burger. They let you choose from many custom toppings which is nice but they charge quite a bit so unless you order ever topping it's kind of not worth it. Don't get me wrong the burger was good but it was almost $8 and we like a simple cheeseburger. For that price I should have a waitress bringing it to me. $13+ for cheeseburger and a milkshake thank goodness we shared. We also ordered a vanilla malted milk shake and they asked if we wanted whip cream but they didn't shake the whip cream can so there was a gloppy mess of cream on top. That is just lazy employees that don't care. The employee who was working there was a sloppy mess with dirty hand print marks down her uniform and a dirty apron. That's not what I want to see from someone who is making my hamburger. It looked like they had been wearing the uniform and apron for a month. Where is the manager who should be making sure there employees are presentable. Not cool! Horrible experience! Decided to have a gourmet burger, paid $25 for 2 burgers and 1 fry. Waited 15 minutes, took a huge bite into my bacon cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato only - and bit into a burger slathered with mustard, no bacon, no tomato!! Yup, I love the gun battle tension of the classic Western!!! The first obvious difference is there's no drive-thru @ this Five Guys. I like that there's unlimited access to unshelled peanuts. I can up the protein load and happily limit the fry intake. Also, they've installed supa dupa soda machines so you've got crazy options to "quench yur thirst." We order a few things from the claimed "Willy Wonkas of Burgercraft"... *HAMBURGER: A hamburger here is TWO FRESH quarter pound patties. You can see the freshness as the grill master emerges with patties in hands with a hue that screams, "FRESCA!!!" Five Guy patties are BIGGER than In N Out, and putting 2 between buns makes for some substantial meat. Next, there is a bunch of OPTIONS for your burger. Most important to my lil man is GRILLED MUSHROOMS! I like the GRILLED ONIONS and A-1 Steak Sauce. They've never asked how I'd like it cooked, but it usually comes well done, but still nicely juicy and tasty. The result is a burger that satisfies the senses AND is a better hunger squasher than In N Out. *FIVE GUY FRIES ( FIVE GUYS STYLE and/or CAJUN STYLE): Thick style that does NOT have the crispness because of PEANUT OIL usage. They're very generous with fries servings, though, so order appropriately. I do enjoy the spiciness Cajun Style offers but I don't eat much of it. I leave that to the young squires. I prefer to work on the peanuts cuz the calorie load for the fries is impressive! I'm not kiddin'! Peep out the paper menu :( *BACON HOT DOG: I don't like that they split open up the dog and grill it. Comes out kinda dry. Bacon is nicely crispy, though, but it can't repair the damage. Hadn't been in years and a friend just had some, so thought I'd try again. The burger is good, though the bun barely holds up. The fries are WAY too seasoned - almost inedible,. The shake is decent, but for $6 I expect more quantity. Overall it's ok, but not worth the high price. Next time I'll just go to In N Out and get more for less. read more

I'm giving 5 guys a solid 4 stars- would be 5 but I feel they don't compete with a In n out total value. Today I ordered 1 cheeseburger no fries no drink total coast $8.00 -don't get me wrong the burger was great but is it really worth $8.00? You will have to make that decision yourself- for me for every 10 double doubles at $5 I'll get 1 five guys simply due to the total value. Regarding the burger: 5 guys patty is big and juicy- their cheese game is always on point (will post pic) and the add ons always fresh. I like that they wrap it in foil- that's what makes the cheese melt to perfection. The burgers will not disappoint! I'll start this off with. It's a fast food chain so what do we expect? Upon walking in it has a very odd atmosphere. The whole design with the tiles is a bit ghetto in my opinion. Not very inviting.... The menu is easy to read and easy to understand. The way you order is like Subway in a way. It's basically a build your own burger place. I've had basically every build here and I've enjoyed the food quality every time. But moving onto why I only gave it 3 stars.... The meat isn't very well seasoned, if any at all. The lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles etc all taste fresh and good. The bacon is always cooked properly and it's crispy. The food quality isn't the issue here it's more so the staff and decor for me. Each time I've ordered the staff seems to always have an attitude or be drifting off into space. I don't find this acceptable in a chain restaurant. They have standards and they should be met. Plus I'm always nice when ordering so there's no reason for the attitude or lack of attention to their customer. Overall I'd recommend this place for a quick bite. You can't go wrong with any burger you order really. Just don't expect it to be the best burger you've ever had. And definitely do NOT compare this place to In-N-Out. Friendly, hot food, clean place... When the place is empty food takes FOR...EVERRRR. Not sure why. Went there on a very busy day with the whole family and the service was SUPER QUICK. Keep in mind, even though I've never seen a five guys with a drive through, it's fast food. With that said, they have the best burger in the business, served with AMPLE amount of fries (ordered separately). The toping options give you a late variety that can change your dining experience every single time you come, over and over! If you've never been, make a trip and go! In the recent years I've come to love the dirty burger more than a clean one and when I think dirty I think Five Guys. The word sounds bad but I'm saying it in a positive way, you know you've wanted a dirty burger too. You might even want one right now if you're searching for places like Five Guys. I've been here several times before. The service is a moderate speed but you know the guys are working hard. It's plain to see that the kitchen is small and the workers are diligent because you can see them from the dining area. They got my order wrong once though. I asked for extra mushrooms and onions and they game me no mushrooms and onions. That made me real sad. You can also order through the app, pay through the app, and set up a pick up time. Came to the store today, I was helped at the counter as usual and went to get my soda. 2 fancy coke soda fountains, one with a sign OUT OF ORDER and a waterfall of water running to the ground, and water everywhere. The second one doesn't have any kinda of coke, only orange fanta and root beer is working. That lasted five minutes and second machine was dead also. Cashier kept on selling drinks like nothing was happening, so i had go and warn all customers in line. This happens when Southern California is going through a heat wave. 5 guys is good joint for a quick burger & fries. They have plenty of items to put on your burger & the fries are good. I think I like their burgers because they aren't too heavy & they taste home made. You don't leave feeling like crap because you had a huge greasy burger. After a couple of years I decided to try Five Guys again. Bottom line, this is the last time I'll ever eat here. First off, I realize that everyone has raised their prices, but $11.59 for a cheeseburger at a self serve place seems excessive. A regular order of French fries is $6.39. It's nice that they have posted the farm in Idaho where the potatoes come from, but I'd only be interested in knowing if the fries were exceptional, which they're not. The fries weren't crisp, but kinda limp and soft. The hamburger bun fell apart before I was half way thru. I also don't understand why each place where you use your credit card automatically asks what your tip is. I'm usually a generous tipper at a place where you have a food server and busboy staff, but do I need to tip the 'kitchen' staff for doing their job at a place where I order at a counter, pick up my food when my number is called, and clean and bus my table and trash when I'm done? With all of that said, I don't think the quality and taste of the burger and fries can even come close to comparing with In-N-out. There's a reason that there is always a long long line at In-N-Out. Last time I was there I asked the young lady who took my order in the drive thru line if she liked her job. She said 'I'm very very happy. They take really good care of us. It's a great job'.
