I wish it was closer. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would ding them half a point for not having air conditioning. They have an electric fan as well as overhead fans. My son ordered the 3 egg polish sausage meal with hash browns, and a biscuits for $11.99 and added gravy to the biscuit for $1. He rated everything 5 stars. My husband ordered the patty melt with French fries for $11.99. The fries were hot and crispy. He gave 4 stars because he said the patty melt had too much cheese. (Is that possible?). I to ordered side dishes to try out different things. I ordered 1 pancake for $2.50, a side of hash browns for $5.49, and a side of 2 biscuits and gravy for $5.49. The pancake was large and was fantastic. The biscuits and gravy were humongous and a full meal by themselves. The biscuits,before being sliced, were about 4 inches high, light and fluffy, and delicious. They were covered with a good amount of gravy. I was only able to eat one half of one and brought the remaining 3 halves home. The gravy is not one full of sausage or bacon but it is tasty. The dining room has plenty of seating. There are specials and discounts on the walls in addition to their large menu.

I've been here 3-4 times now, and every single visit has been consistently amazing. That's hard to find! Everything we've tried has been delicious, and I love that they even have mocktail options for my daughter so she can enjoy the experience too. Yes, it is on the pricier side, but in my opinion, it's absolutely worth it. The staff is wonderful, the ambiance is beautiful, and the upscale décor makes the whole experience feel special. There's a down home, country feel to the 49'er Saloon subtly referring to the California gold rush days of yore. Looks like an ideal place for bikers and horse riders. Hearty grub with hints of traditional regional American cuisine and full bar where you will not leave hungry. There's a formal dining room for larger gatherings for families and friends. Great place to eat after scrambling around Vasquez Rocks, visiting Animal Tracks, or just hungry on CA 14 frwy. Just get off the Crown Valley offramp and head due south for about a mile. 1) Wild Game Sausage: Walk On The Wild Side With Jalapeño-Cheddar Stuffed Elk With Roasted Peppers & Onions. Big portion enough for 2 meals since the Elk sausage is so rich. Elk sausage is ground fine and stuffed tightly in the casing for dense, firm texture. You're getting your money's worth. The Jalapeño has a nice, warm piquancy while the Cheddar gives a dairy fermented undertone. The julienned red and green bellpeppers are pleasantly al dente; the onions are caramelized to bring out their sweetness. It's all sautéed in an agrodolce/sweet-sour sauce along with a touch of garlic. 1a) Side dish: Nice little garden salad including green lettuce, diced purple onion, chopped tomato, grated carrot. Chose blue cheese dressing to use for the "Buffalo Burger". 2) "Buffalo Burger" is extra finely ground, plush, velvety Bison meat. So when I ordered it medium rare, the patty turned out mushy. Next time, I will order it medium to firm up and give more of a chaw to the meat. Opted for two slices of not too crispy, meaty bacon. Mayo, tomato, green lettuce leaf, grilled onions, cheddar cheese, dense brioche bun. I spread on the blue cheese dressing to give a little funk to what I thought would be the blood minerality of the Bison meat. It's another substantial dish. 2a) Side dish of standard French fries which was crisp as requested although it didn't quite have that ineffable earthy, mildly sweet, potato flavour 1-2a) Allegiance India Pale Ale, Lancaster CA was a good counter to both food items. Dry, heavy bodied, fruity with scents of orange zest, lacquer, touch of cleansing acidity. 49'er doesn't leave you hungry so didn't have enough room for dessert. I took the Elk sausage home and made sandwiches for two meals. So eating at the 49'er isn't as expensive due to the big portions. 4 stars

Five Guys did NOT live up to the hype. This place is too small. I went on a Sunday at 3 pm and the place was packed. There was no room to sit and eat. You cannot request how you'd like your burger to be cook (I prefer Medium) -- they all get cooked well-done. And the burger was small. The fries are fresh, but include the skin. They have that Coke machine with 100+ flavors, so no A&W or Mugs root beer. I went when this place was brand new, and it did not have Wi-Fi. Sadly, I don't see myself coming back to this place. The Double Char Burger - hits the spot. Juicy, savory with a nice balance of texture from the smoky char from the grill, crunch from the lettuce, pickles, and onions. The char grilling makes it more flavorful. Ordering is easy - either on the kiosk or at the register. Service crews are helpful and don't pressure you in ordering other items. The place is big enough to accommodate groups. The times I have been here - there's always a free table to dine in.
