Tried 5 guys now 2 times and love love love these burgers. Honestly I will never eat Burger King, carls or In-N-Out ever again they were so fresh and so full. We ended up getting a free shake as they made 2 by error for another order and that was very kind of them in stead of throwing it away, my 4 year old got to have a yummy treat. The establishment is clean and the staff very friendly and happy to help. We will for sure be back.

I love the fresh ingredients and the option to choose all the toppings you want on your burger. The food was decent, and you can even grab some peanuts while you wait. My only complaint is that wrapping the burgers in foil makes the buns soggy, which isn't very appealing.

Small Fries

I stopped by on Sunday afternoon to pick up some food after arriving at the nearby Embassy Suites. The girl at the counter was very friendly and the service was great. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger and a small order of fries. 5 Guys is great in that you can order a bunch of toppings for "free", although the price of the burger is kinda steep. The burger was very good and large. The small fries filled about half the takeout bag, there were plenty. Overall: Pretty good burger joint.

I added two sodas to this order when I got there

Ordered through their app Told me it would be 10 min for curbside Came in to the store because the app didn't register it for covid 19 free pick up lol I was the only one there at the time While I'm at the store I see that they wrapped my hotdog order without the hotdog!!! Like wth is wrong with this place. Then I see the fry guy load up my fry bag (I ordered the large $6.99), gives me these old fries and to make it worse doesn't load the bag with the extra fries. I asked him is this what a large fry is? A 21oz cup? He said he would "get me" but decides to load a 21oz cup and give it to this other lady without giving her the extra fries either! I get it times are tough! But I highly doubt the fries come out of this dude's budget!? I asked for my $5 milkshake for the 5th time and he finally gave it to me 3/4 full. Ask for some bbq sauce they throw a stupid little cup at me. Grabbed my $50 garbage food bag and storm out! At this point I wasted $50 on half fries, a broken hotdog bun, and a 3/4 shake! They're food is ok at best, but after this and how much I paid I could have easily gone to IN N OUT or CHICK FIL A and got twice the amount of food, service and quality. Hard times are here but, figure out this store or train better people

We started with a French baguette served with honey butter and olive oil for dipping. Both paired perfectly with the bread and were incredibly flavorful. For our entrées, we ordered the lamb shank with mashed potatoes and the herb honey-crusted chicken on a brioche bun. Both dishes were outstanding and full of flavor. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant, peaceful, and welcoming. We had a wonderful dining experience and will definitely be back!

Food 3-5 - we've had mixed experiences, but mostly very good. There aren't any off menu requests accepted. One cannot replace ingredients. One can only remove specific items from a menu choice. Don't even ask. Apparently the chef's policy is absolute. Ambiance 4-5 nicely decorated and designed. Has a high end feel that is unusual for the AV. So why the 3 stars? One single experience. My wife asked the server (Jackie) if it would be possible to get a side of sauteed mushrooms. She said probably not as it's not permitted by the chef. We asked to speak to the manager to express our disappointment. When Jake showed up, before we uttered a word, he stated that it's just something they don't do, so no to our request. Then he turned and walked away. There was no dialogue. It was a one way conversation. In essence, we and our request were dismissed. The experience was incredibly off-putting. It was unnecessary to respond to a patron's request in that manner. Totally unacceptable. I write this review to memorialize the experience for others, because it won't matter to the owner/chef/management. It seems, judging by their total lack of response to other reviews, good or bad, that it really doesn't. Typical dinners we've had run a tab of $150-200 (including tip). We have visited 1-2 times a month for the past two years. We have brought friends and family on several occasions, generating additional per-visit revenue for the restaurant. Again, this doesn't seem to matter. So, sadly, we're going to have to take a leave of this place. Too bad really.

We had burgers both times and they were cooked to perfection both times. It wasn't super busy either time, but the place is really cute inside and the outside is perfect when the weather is nice. There's a down home, country feel to the 49'er Saloon subtly referring to the California gold rush days of yore. Looks like an ideal place for bikers and horse riders. Hearty grub with hints of traditional regional American cuisine and full bar where you will not leave hungry. There's a formal dining room for larger gatherings for families and friends. Great place to eat after scrambling around Vasquez Rocks, visiting Animal Tracks, or just hungry on CA 14 frwy. Just get off the Crown Valley offramp and head due south for about a mile. 1) Wild Game Sausage: Walk On The Wild Side With Jalapeño-Cheddar Stuffed Elk With Roasted Peppers & Onions. Big portion enough for 2 meals since the Elk sausage is so rich. Elk sausage is ground fine and stuffed tightly in the casing for dense, firm texture. You're getting your money's worth. The Jalapeño has a nice, warm piquancy while the Cheddar gives a dairy fermented undertone. The julienned red and green bellpeppers are pleasantly al dente; the onions are caramelized to bring out their sweetness. It's all sautéed in an agrodolce/sweet-sour sauce along with a touch of garlic. 1a) Side dish: Nice little garden salad including green lettuce, diced purple onion, chopped tomato, grated carrot. Chose blue cheese dressing to use for the "Buffalo Burger". 2) "Buffalo Burger" is extra finely ground, plush, velvety Bison meat. So when I ordered it medium rare, the patty turned out mushy. Next time, I will order it medium to firm up and give more of a chaw to the meat. Opted for two slices of not too crispy, meaty bacon. Mayo, tomato, green lettuce leaf, grilled onions, cheddar cheese, dense brioche bun. I spread on the blue cheese dressing to give a little funk to what I thought would be the blood minerality of the Bison meat. It's another substantial dish. 2a) Side dish of standard French fries which was crisp as requested although it didn't quite have that ineffable earthy, mildly sweet, potato flavour 1-2a) Allegiance India Pale Ale, Lancaster CA was a good counter to both food items. Dry, heavy bodied, fruity with scents of orange zest, lacquer, touch of cleansing acidity. 49'er doesn't leave you hungry so didn't have enough room for dessert. I took the Elk sausage home and made sandwiches for two meals. So eating at the 49'er isn't as expensive due to the big portions. 4 stars

Then I was asked specifically what did I order, even though they were looking at my detailed receipt. I told them and they started on the order. My order was with no caramelized onions. The order was thrown together and thrown into the box, with caramelized onions. I just basically took the bag and left. That was 12:31 PM. The presentation due to their hurried attempts to include my order, was also a disaster. First and likely last visit.
