Last night I was in the mood for Five Guys. To satisfy this craving I had their Bacon Cheeseburger with Cajun Fries. The presentation of the food at Five Guys is not the best out there but honestly this is not what you are coming here for. You come here for the taste, which I must say Five Guys does not disappoint. You can taste the grade A quality of each ingredient crafted into the burger, as well as the fries. When you bite into the burger you can feel all of it's flavors & juices ooze into your mouth, as well as the bacon crisp to perfection. However, my favorite part of this meal was the cajun fries. I've only been to Five Guys once and was impressed enough to return for a second visit. But, this experience wasn't quite as good as the first. I am a fan of their fries and like this place much better better than Habit Burger accross the street but not really that much better. But, I came for the burger not just the fries and the burger just wasn't as good as last time from the meat, to the bun, to the toppings. The whole experience, except for the fries, reminded me of eating in a cafeteria instead of a restaurant. That's too bad. I think my next burger trip will be Zippy's in White Center or even the Tavern Double at Red Robin in Tukwila for the same price or less which is just across the street from 5 Guys. Probably my best five guys experience so far was here. They do not mess around with portions and yes quantity matters when the quality is there because I absolutely love their Cajun fries and they happily filled my bag full of it like it was Halloween. Five Guys definitely lived up to my expectations. I ordered the little bacon cheeseburger 'all the way' (aka everything on it) plus fresh jalapenos. I really loved the fact that their beef is freshly brought in everyday and never frozen (boy could I taste the difference). All their toppings are free (even grilled mushrooms), and they are freshly sliced right there in the kitchen. Definitely go small on the fries (me and my man still were unable to finish them!) and gotta go Cajun style if you are craving some spice. It's a 5 Guys, you know what you're getting, but in this case what you're getting is roughly 50% cheaper than everything else in the area you're in (The Landing). Maybe except Panda Express, but we don't count that because it's not really food. The long and short of it: 1. Burgers. Pretty standard as far as 5 Guys goes, local ingredients leads to a fresh and tasty burger that may leave you feeling overly full after the meal. No better or worse at this specific one, just what you've come to know and love. 2. Fries. Per 5 Guys custom, a small fries will be more than enough for a burger and just you. They don't seem to go as overboard at this location but that's just fine, you'll still get more than enough. A medium fries will easily serve 2+. As always.... get them Cajun. 3. Speed. While they do crank out the food at a pretty decent clip, this location is right next to the Boeing factory so it will get inundated from around 10:30 to 12:30. Best to work around that time-frame unless you want to be stuck in a huge line. 4. Price. You can get a burger, way too many fries and a drink for under $13 which is a steal as far as The Landing is concerned where it's hard to get out for under $20. It might not be the best thing for you, but sometimes it's hard to argue with the price. I don't let myself eat 5 Guys often for the sheer health considerations, but it's hard to beat for the price if you need a cheap lunch at The Landing. Tried out Five Guys Burgers and Fries today and after getting over my sticker shock (Cost$) I'm now ready to write my review. First impressions were that they too, want to be like In-n-Out burger in California (look and style). I ordered their Bacon Burger meal (fries and a drink) and to my surprise, the total was $16.36 $16.36... I guess you can say I still haven't gotten over the sticker shock. Moving on to the food, their Burgers were pretty good, but not $16.36 good. It tasted better than your run of the mill fast food burger, and is in line with places like Red Robin, shake shack and others which serve "gourmet burgers". (However, IMA paying more for your food doesn't make it taste better). Their fries were fresh and there was a-lot-of- fries included in their "SM" size. In my opinion, they have one of the best burgers in Washington. They have free peanuts you can snack on while you wait for your burger to be made. (This might not be true anymore due to covid) Their burgers are always fresh and juicy. My only turnoff is the amount of grease, but hey it's a burger place you aren't eating healthy when you eat here. They always give a generous helping of fries. The fries could probably feed two people alone. I wish they had better locations with drive thrus. The food is burned and over cooked in to much oil. They are always busy which make sense, the landing area have grown a lot and has a lot of people who moved out here. I don't like the staff, everyone looks so unprofessional and the dress code is extremely inappropriate. I mean this is suppose to be a very kid friendly place, instead it feels like a bar. I've never had a bad experience here but my recent experience tipped it over the top with awesome. I think the girl ringing me in had a small miscommunication with me as to the lettuce wrap I wanted and when I got my burger not only had there been cheese put on and taken off as there was still some stuck to it and it was on a bun. When I opened up my burger to look at it and noticed it was wrong I didn't make it half way back inside before a worker cleaning tables noticed me coming back in and met me before I could get inside. These employees seem to have a lot of fun. They all talk loud, laugh loud, are all over-weight, and it doesn't seem to be a place with a serious professional business mind-set. The heavy-set male cook wears a mask that does NOT fit over his nose, but instead is partially under his nose as he cooks & prepares the sandwiches. The beef patties have absolutely No flavor, and this is disappointing since the other five-guys restaurants I've visited the burgers were much more flavorful. The fries though they give a hefty portion the cashier/order taker overloads them with salt!! It's horrendous - You'd think he's trying to kill you! When I got home I tried use a sifter to to get rid of most of the salt, but they could NOT be redeemed and I just could NOT eat them. A "regular" burger comes with 2 patties and a "little" burger comes with 1? When did that happen? Isn't one patty normal and a two patty burger is called a double? Well, I ordered a "little" burger with mushrooms, grilled onions, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayonnaise (choose your own condiments). I didn't order ketchup and mustard because I assumed it came with the burger, but it didn't so I ended up with a mayo burger. Which was still good -- the patty was really juicy and had a lot of texture. Although I chose to dine in, they still served it in a bag. After putting the burger into the bag, they threw a styrofoam cup of french fries into the bag, then they topped that off with even more fries. This meant I had to eat my way to the burger. They give you so much fries, by the time you reach the burger... I was almost too full to eat the burger! If you do get fries, I recommend sharing them. My first thought when I walked into Five Guys last night after working late was...WTF! That was my second and third thoughts too. The floors were covered with peanut shells. Hey, I know some bars have a tradition of peanut shells on their floor. The Pub in the Tri-Cities comes to mind. Maybe Five Guys is trying to update their image, but I think this little ploy has bombed. I suspect because of the general trashy appearance that the peanut shells create (peanut shells that employees have swept onto the floor), customers have no compunction about throwing their paper bags, burger wrappings or whatever on the floor. Sure, if you live in a shack by the city landfill, you'll love eating in a restaurant with trash all over the floor. Also, by the beverage counter, the smell of dirtiness was heavy in the air. Though the restaurant appearance was disgusting, the burger was good as always, and so was my grilled cheese sandwich. Who runs a 5k and then stops in at the nearest Five Guys Burger? WE DO! Yep.. the Annual Seahawks Run was on April 10th this year and as is the standard, the fam bam and I did our 5k run and waltzed (more like hobbled) on over to the Five Guys Burgers as soon it was open.. Yes that's right.. 11am, and we were already standing by the cash wrap, waiting to place our orders. Who says you can't do some honest running and then gorge yourself on a burger.. you earned it!I'm guessing that others got the same idea, because it got busier and busier as the minutes passed. Five Guys happened, and all was full of burger, bacon and peanut goodness. So my introduction to this joint, was on the east coast during one of my travels to the Pittsburgh. It's partially an old school diner, and partially a fast food local. How can it be two? Well... they have an atmosphere of a diner, with loads of self-love (they have reviews, quotes and newspaper clippings of their glory from the east coast) as well as little bits of their history scattered around the walls. Fast food, well, you walk up; order from a small 20ish item menu, and after about 10 minutes, it's cooked to order. Nothing sitting around here under a heat lamp at this burger place, you can watch the cooks in the back, furiously including fresh ingredients into all their meals. Let's dissect their Bacon Cheeseburger... Well, it's meat, two nicely portioned pieces of Beef, a yellow cheese, and strips of bacon. Lettuce, tomato, and your option of ketchup, mustard, grilled or non-grilled onions, hot sauce and other little goodies I'll leave for you to find out when you go. The meat is always well done here, so don't bother asking for rare, it won't happen. Then lettuce has an awesome fresh crunch, tomatoes are clean and tasty on this thing. Simply put the vegetables they put on this thing are solid. The meat is just that, NOT Frozen meat, which is shaped into a burger, and put on a grill. It doesn't taste seasoned, so if you like a simple, and pure tasting beef patty, this will be perfection. The fries... unless you are into activities which burn calories; don't bother ordering the large fries. Get the regular size, because even that size will fill your stomach, assuming you dominate the burger. Together, it's a gut buster, but absolutely delicious. Look, this isn't gourmet; it's simple, unadulterated burger love. As a Seattleite, I will always have an affinity toward Red Mill Burger, they are my bar, and it's set pretty high, but this place will always be welcome into my burger tasting indulgences. Let's get this out of the way: If you have a peanut allergy, do not plan on going here! They have bulk peanuts in the store (for your consumption) and fry their fries in peanut oil. (They even have a handy little warning sticker on the door about the open containers of peanuts and the hazards to "neighborhood children with allergies" if you take them out of the store.) The "regular" burgers are double-patty. I would have ordered "mini-burger" had I known! The meat was definitely fresh, but the bun was soggy. The produce was also fresh, which was great. The mayo, though was off-tasting. The "regular" order of fries (which is the smallest) would have done for both me and my husband - sadly, we didn't know and had each ordered a "regular" burger, with "regular" fries and a "regular" drink. The fries are more home-style - a little chunky in cut and not really crispy. The guy behind the counter had trouble hearing our order - and no wonder! The music in the place was so loud, we couldn't hold a spoken conversation. Finally made the visit to Five Guys. Still getting to know The Landing. Not everything in this development is bunched up together. Finally spotted it next to the movie theatre. The store itself is not all that big. Very typical size to an In-N-Out which is somewhat similar in its focus. The menu is simplistic with burgers being the main event. Having tried the Five Guys experience, I am a little half and half on the place. The ordering process for a burger seems to resemble that of ordering from a menu at a dim sum restaurant. I know that you are supposed to choose the toppings, but can it be assumed that I would want it the way it is prepared at all the other burger joints? If there is any special requests, then I can make it known. Anyways, I got the cheeseburger ($5.19) and a regular order of cajun fries ($2.69). I was definitely alarmed at the calories in these two products which was nearly 1500, but I went ahead with it since I had nothing to eat and it was already 1 pm. Nice touch to have a box of peanuts for customers while they wait for their order. Having tried the burger at Five Guys, I would say it is kind of middling. I asked for grilled onions and mushrooms which were good, but it was a bit watery as a result. I like the burgers at Teddy's in Woodinville a little bit better although it costs a little more. However, the cajun fries here are good. There is a Red Robin nearby. If given the choice, I would probably go to Red Robin because the ambiance and selection is better and prices are comparable when you factor in the fries. read more

I love going to five guys because the food is very consistent. Burgers are so good and so are the fries. I feel like it is a little pricier than what I would pay for burgers but with all the extra stuff you can add to it, it is worth it. I normally get a little cheeseburger because it's a pretty decent size. I recommend getting grilled onions and grilled mushrooms in your burger. I also get the Cajun fries and these fries are by far my favorite fries I've had so far. Get some Ketchup and Mayo to dip together and it's the best! WOW - they toss an extra portion of fries on top of the full fry cup! Even with the small there are soooo many fries! The staff is VERY friendly and the line moved VERY fast, but the food didn't leave me feeling like I had found burger bliss. Went here after not eating for about 28 hours, so maybe it was Hungry Jenny talking but I really enjoyed my Burger here. Ordered a Bacon Burger and loved the fact that I could get Grilled Onions and Mushrooms and Jalapeno's at no Extra Charge. I was starving so I loved the Fact that I could munch on Peanuts while I waited for my Burger. We ordered a Small order of Fries to split between my hubby and myself and it was the perfect amount of fries. I normally don't like Fries but I loved the Fries at Five Guys, fried in Peanut Oil. The place comes with a very high recommendation and when I checked it out I was not disappointed. They keep things simple with the menua nd the way it operates reminds me a lot of In and Out Burgers. Their burger is a little different but just as good and i like that you can choose from a variety of condiments. The fries are very good also, and one order should be enough for two. Unless you live close by I think I would eat there, the burgers are wrapped in foil and think the buns would get soggy quick, and no one likes soggy buns. First of all, Yelp, shame on you for making me drive all over Renton to find this place. The "pin" on your map led me to an industrial park. It was nowhere close to Five Guys. You'll find this place at the newly developed shopping area called The Landing. Easily locatable from the 405. I tried the normal, not the little, burger with most of the goods. The beef itself was juicy and tasty - I couldn't tell you if it was really fresh since I never witnessed burger patties being processed right out of a slaughterhouse and eating one on the spot. But man, the presentation was blech. Bun looked like it got the beating of its life, and the goods were thrown in like your luggage being loaded on the plane. Not to mention it looked greasier than it should. It might have looked a little nicer if I didn't walk in during lunch hour (tables were packed), so I'll have to try again on a less busy hour. Looks like they're quite short-staffed tonight. It's 9pm on a Friday night & the location is in the heart of Renton's Nightlife Plaza. As someone who's worked in retail & hospitality (where things go wrong 83% of every shift) I understand they're under pressure but there's absolutely no reason to bark at your coworkers, especially in front of a customer(s). I placed an online order about 20 minutes ago now, and I'm still waiting for my order as I type. As far as fast food goes I love five guys! I hear a lot of people complain about grease but it's never been an issue for me. The fries are the biggest offender for grease, but mine haven't been any greasiest than any other fries I've had. The quality of ingredients puts them over the edge for me! The cheeseburgers are great and I've occasionally had a weakness for a hotdog! My main issue though is the shakes are great, but not every location has them! Also I wish they'd eventually add onion rings and more mustard options to the menu. I love mustard but cheap yellow mustard shouldn't be my only choice for my hot dog! When I got to the counter they asked if I had been here before since I hadn't she explained the different sizes of burgers and fries, which was helpful. Let me tell you, if you're looking for a hangover cure, look no further. This is the place. You walk in, grab a handful of peanuts and wait in line next to the stacks of fresh delivered local potatoes. The service is fast and hassle free, you tell them what you DON'T want on your burger(I emphasize that because they have some serious topping action going on, not a bad thing) and be sure to get the fries with cajun seasoning. They'll fill your bag till its overflowing with fries and then you can dig in. Its heaven, and the best possible alternative to a McDonalds run or some other crappy fast food joint. Visited Five Guys Burgers again yesterday. Had to make certain the burgers were as good as the first time. At about 11:30 AM, the place was already crowded. Must of been Boeing's lunch hour as there were quite a few ID badges on display. Once again, it was the whole-deal, cheese-burger with bacon, fried onions and mushrooms and all the 'free' extras. Once again, EXCELLENT. Still not totally sold on the fries as I would prefer them to be a bit more 'crunchy', but they're still pretty good. I would suggest they do something about the placement of the soft drink dispensing machines. People tend to gather there and block access to the restrooms (very minor complaint).
