We've gone to Five Guys quite a few times because I eat a low carb diet which their extremely customizable burgers in a bowl works quite well with. When they get your order right, which is unfortunately pretty rare. 3 out of the last 4 times we've been there, my burger has come with a bun. 2 of these times, the ingredients inside weren't correct either. I like their meat the best out of the burger places I've been to. Their cheese could really use an upgrade, the rest of the add-ons are good. My husband loves the grilled onions on his burger. Service is pretty hit and miss, iypts only been truly terrible once. read more

The best fast-food style burger hands down. Better than even In-and-Out. Not like a Mike's but it's a different type of burger so not a fair comparison. The fries, however, are not so good. They're too doughy but the Cajun fries help add some flavor. The fry portions are large and better split for two. They do have free peanuts which I usually have instead of the fries. This place was dirty and disgusting. I'm not talking about the peanut shells, I'm talking about the entire restaurant being sanitary. There was trash and ketchup everywhere. Every table was disgusting. The bathroom was atrocious with no soap. And now to the food. Ordered 2 cheeseburgers custom the way we like them and they got both of them completely wrong, it was like the guy taking our order didn't even listen to us. The burgers were small the cheese wasn't melted. Only reason why I gave it 2 stars is the guy kindly made our orders again the way we ordered them. I never do Yelp but I was so disappointed with this 5 Guys. I got a lettuce wrapped burger with grilled onions and mushrooms. There was hardly any burger and a head of lettuce. First, I'd like to say a few things for those that haven't eaten here before and to add my opinion towards some negative reviews here on yelp. This spot is more on the fast-food type of things when it comes to food so if you go in thinking its going to be some restaurant style burger, you may find yourself dissapointed. It is GREASY! And it is DELICIOUS! If you find greasy food repulsive you probably shouldn't bother going here. Also, their fries are soft, some crispier. You won't find super crispy fries here. They are not like in n out. If you are looking for quick and easy food, that tastes delicious, than you're in luck! Because 5 guys is the way to go for burger and fries. They hook you up on fries (filling your cup and then pretty much doubling that in the bag) and they also charge a flat rate for their burgers, but give you options like "bacon" "mushrooms".."extra cheese"..to add to it. These guys, habit, and in n out are the only places I'll get a fast food burger at, but no one else has those Cajun fries. So 5 guys wins!! Okay now on to my personal review: My fiance and I love this place!!! (He gives it 5 stars too) we always order on the app via our phones and it's always either ready or in the process when we get there. (We generally leave within 5 mins of placing the order and live about 10-15m away). He gets the cheeseburger with bbq sauce, mayo, bacon, grilled onions and mushrooms. I get basically an "animal style in n out cheeseburger," but the five guys way! The staff is always upbeat and have fun personalities! Weve never been disappointed with their burgers or fries and I get to make my blue powerade and sprite combo which I don't see at many places haha. But the one thing I love the most, is their CAJUN FRIES!! They can be a bit spicy at times so I wouldn't recommend ordering if you don't like spice.. but they've pretty much changed my perception on how a fry should be made. Their flippin fantastic!! My one experience at Five Guys. It was too expensive comparing quality to In-N-Out. The minimum size fries order is excessively large for a single serving and greasy. Taking home leftover fries for later is never satisfying for me. Multiple add ons to the burger is unique and justify a higher price if that is what you are willing to pay. Five guys should consider the west coast style and add avocado as a choice. Food presentation was my biggest complaint as it effected the taste and overall experience the most. Your order is served only in a bag. The plain brown take out bag with the burger wrapped tightly closed in aluminum foil is what I object to the most. The aluminum wrapping processed my burger into a steamed soggy mess. I didn't want my burger smashed together like a standard McD's mess. The fresh style for table dinning at In-N-Out served in a tray is what keeps their taste unique. Five Guys soggy mess more expensive. The peanuts are a nice touch. Probably will stay with In-N-Out for quick fresh taste and price. read more

Awesome! My 6 year old has celiac disease. A small amount of gluten can put her in the hospital. When I called they understood and were able to tell me what she could eat safely. We went and they were concerned and made sure she had a hot dog with out touching a bun to keep her safe from cross contamination! If you want to eat an artery clogging chug full of calories tasty burger, this is the place. The buns are good, the topping choices are great and the fries are really salty and good. I also liked the music playing at this joint and the peanuts are awesome. The only thing holding this place back from 5 stars was the slow service. I've heard from friends that Five Guys is *the* burger, so I decided to give it a try. First impressions: the music is far too loud. I could hear it from 2 doors down. When I walk in, the staff starts yelling indecipherable things that must be some kind of code. I order, the guy turns toward the cooking area and yells again. I pay ($17 for a burger, hot dog, fries and a Coke!), and wait. When I get my bag of food (what? no tray?), I'm stunned to find an ordinary burger, an ordinary hot dog and so many fries they take up 1/3 of the bag itself. The burger was dry, flavorless and just...boring. The hot dog was decent. I opted for the Cajun fries. The potatoes aren't that great, and the seasoning wasn't anything special. I ate the hot dog, most of the burger and left most of the fries behind. Based on my initial impressions, I won't be back. Unless I'm going to a music venue, I don't expect my ears to be assaulted by blaring music. The food was sub-par, the way the staff interacts is....odd, and the price is ridiculous. In N Out is closer to where I live, it serves better food and is much better value. They'll remain my "go-to" burger place. read more

My girlfriend I come here pretty regularly and have never had a bad experience. We even came in about 15 minutes before they closed one time and they didn't mind, they even hooked it up with a bunch of extra fries once they did close! One time we tried the Cajon fries, I didn't mind them but the girlfriend was not digging them. Quick tip a large drink is 10 cents more than a regular. Haha. I wish I could give 3 1/2 stars...I'm not quite a fan, but it was a-ok. Took the boys (aficionados of the "other burger joint) to check this place out. First impression? They liked all the choices of toppings. This is a nice touch and wonderful to be able to fully customize your burger AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. But the burgers are a little bit on the high side to begin with starting with a little hamburger at $3.69 and ending with a Bacon Cheeseburger at $6.29. I also liked that they give you a couple of options, such as hot dogs and sandwiches, including a veggie sandwich. The fries are cut with the skins on, fresh and nicely done, but still not double fried so they tend to get soggy. I could have used a bit more seasoning on both my burger and my fries (I got the little cheeseburger with onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato, ketchup and mustard) I missed the "secret sauce". Now, what we all thought was so funny was all the signs posted about with Voted Favorite Place to Buy a Burger 09, and Fine dining of hamburgers 05...who cares what you did in 08 and 05? This is 11 and now is all that counts. Aside from the fact, we don't even know who they were being compared to; some burger joint in where? Lancaster PA? They always get the order right no matter how busy they are, and still deliver great food in a timely manner. Five Guys have delicious burgers. I recommend adding sautéed mushrooms and grilled onions. The service is quick and if they do screw up on your food they make sure that you leave happy. They have an everything but the kitchen sink topping selection so you really can get creative. As many have said, In-n-Out and Five Guys are so different I agree. One is REALLY good (in-n-Out) while the other is not (Five Guys). I don't mean to bash and be negative but what is all the hype about Five Guys? Nothing is great there. Not the burger which has no flavor and not the greasy fries. I like that they use peanut oil but what's the point if the fries are all greasy. $25 for three people isn't cheap for fast food either. The buns are no good, the cheese isn't melted, slapped on like an afterthought. I'm glad I tried it but very disappointed. No joke, McDonald's fries are better. OK, all I can really say is don't believe the hype. Yes the posters on the wall indicate that this chain was Zagat rated and the best in Washington (or somewhere) but no ratings since 2009 for those and I think that means there are probably better burgers here in town. I'm not sure when gimmicks like peanuts started being more important that good burgers but here we are. Yes the fries are infinitely better than that chain with the palm trees but that bar is set pretty low. Was it a terrible burger? No. Would I go back for another one? Amazing burgers! Very very good.

Although a bit pricey, worth the money for a delicious burger and fries. They had great customer service and all the crew members made us feel welcomed. It wasn't very busy and took about 10 minutes to get our food which wasn't a big deal at all. The only thing stopping me from giving this 4 stars is they messed up on our burgers, and totally flipped different things in our burgers. My dad had a double bacon cheeseburger with everything except tomato and mushroom, but received tomato and no bacon. I ordered a double cheeseburger with everything except tomato, mayo, and ketchup with BBQ sauce, but received mayo and bacon (not complaining about that). I don't understand how they messed up on those orders considering there was only like 6 other people there and they already had their food. I am kind of on the fense in regards to 5 guys. I had never been to one and after hearing rave reports about how awesome they were after opening in town I decided to go for myself. Wasn't super impressed both times I went. Both times the burger bun was soggy and the fries were greesy to the point of saturating the bag. I didn't get all the complimentary condiments they had (mushrooms etc) as I like a more traditional burger, and if you like all of that then the price I'm sure would be worth it.
