For me, the best item is a four-way tie between the St. Helena, the Black & Blue BBQ, the Hollywood Chili, and the Crispy Chipotle Chicken. Tots are always cooked just right and the mile-long shake menu is ridiculous in all the best ways. My personal faves are Mint Oreo and Peanut Butter Chocolate. But on top of the top notch food, what makes Super Burger my favorite are Camille and Maya who make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The food was really good, it was much larger than I anticipated. Extremely juice and flavorful! The atmosphere of the establishment was chill and felt relaxing. They played good music to listen to while grubbing and the waitresses were awesome and super friendly. I had a fun exchange of words with them and they were quick with the service. Staff was very friendly. For my drive home I picked up a Superburger with cheese, pickles and mustard on the side, onion rings and large chocolate malt and large coke to go. The hamburger was fantastic. Cooked perfectly with a nice brown on the patty, the generous serving of onion rings were hot and cooked through. The malt was a bit shy on malt flavor, but as you can see from the pic, it had plenty of chocolate. The decor was classic diner: two vintage Coca-Cola clocks, Press-Democrat awards for best burger for years running. Loved the counter and chairs, visible cook on the grill. Burgers, dogs and shakes are always great but lately the tatter totts have been super oily. Not a good thing. Recently picked up a super cheese bacon burger, chocolate shake and small order of Totts...very generous portion. The oil was so bad it soaked the paper and the Totts. They were not fit to eat. I love ordering with them. Their regular burgers are a decent size. I recommend the town and country size if you don't want something big. Their burgers have a nice charbroiled taste to them which I love! Comes with lots of toppings for your burger and it's always fresh. The original is the best. I've been to many of the other Superburgers around the area. Not sure why, but the others always seem to fall short when compared to this one. Awesome little hole in the wall. Great service and the food always seems to be a notch better. I can't explain it. Stopped by yesterday with my wife for lunch. Cool, retro 1950's diner that's all counter. Don't like to sit at the counter, then order to go! Wow! But what a massive 1/2 lb burger, they serve. I ordered the bacon cheese burger added mushrooms, with a side of fries, and a chocolate banana shake! After being in a food coma, it was quite satisfying. The burger and fries were very good and the chocolate banana shake was old school. Good good french fries actually take a lot of work, and these seem like they were made there and not out of frozen bag. I ordered the smaller cheeseburger, my wife ordered the burger with mushrooms and we got the larger combination of fries and onion rings. Total was $37. To me that's a lot of darn money. The prices rubbed me the wrong way. My burger was pretty good. We took it back to the hotel and ate it there so it probably would have been a little better if I ate it at the location. But it was actually kind of cold inside. I don't know why they could have turned the heat up a little bit make it a little more inviting. But my burger was pretty good. Also they give a senior discount which is pretty cool. Now I've only been here once and I'm like why did they charge $37 for two burgers fries and onion rings and no drinks Plus tip. There is no tip jar I just gave the girl like four bucks or so. So I walked out of there for over $41. Then I read some of the reviews here and I like the fact that the beef was grass-fed and free range. And I'm like that's pretty cool and I could justify eating her again. So yeah. I'll be back. Me and my mom were craving burgers and decided to stop by here while we were in Santa Rosa. I believe there is another Super Burger location in Rohnert Park but I never had the chance to go, despite hearing pretty good things about it. We ordered our meal at the to-go order window located on the outside of the restaurant but we ended up eating there at one of their nice outdoor benches. It is a smaller sized location but the outside is decorated nicely. The first thing we ordered was a Toffee Coffee milkshake. Wow, it was great. One of the best milkshakes I have ever had. It seemed to be vanilla ice cream with coffee and small pieces of crunchy sweet buttery toffee. It was a super thick and tasty milkshake with a great texture and sweetness. It was also pretty large in size. I ordered the town grilled onion and bacon classic cheeseburger ($11.25) while my mother ordered a Swiss mushroom burger. We also ordered a regular fry to split. I thought the fries were pretty average but also solid. They came in a huge portion for $6.50. The burger was great. The patty was slightly overcooked, I ordered medium and it was more like well-done. It still tasted great the the toppings were also super fresh and tasty. The grilled onions were a perfect addition and although skimpy on the bacon, it was good. If I came back here in the future, I would order a slightly larger burger and a shake. I asked my mom what she would rate this place and she said 4.7 out of 5. I would give it about a 4.2 out of 5 so if we average those it would be about a 4.5, so I'm rounding up and giving them a 5-star. Good job Super Burger, you guys know what you're doing. read more

Went in the other day to go eat a burger with my wife. I usually like this place because it has a homemade taste. After going this time, I don't think I will go for a while. I ordered a burger and usually don't tell them how I want it cooked(temperature) because they usually cook it medium and above. I don't have a photo because I didn't take one, but the patty was raw and put together all sloppy. Everything was falling apart. However, I'll make an exemption for this place since we plan on returning again and try the rest of their menu...including their shake. Superburger is a local chain burger joint that originated in Santa Rosa during the 50's. They haven't expanded much in the Bay Area as all of their stores are in Santa Rosa, Windsor and Cotati area. They keep their ingredients locally sourced and have kept it this way throughout the generations. I think it's better this way, and they are definitely unique. While on the road, my sister was texting the wifey and said she was ordering some food for us to pick-up. I assumed she was also placing an order for themselves, but that didn't turn up to be the case as the order was just for us. I was too busy concentrating on driving as I glanced at the menu that wifey showed me, so I just picked a classic bacon cheeseburger; she ordered the mushroom swiss burger. Upon arrival. I stayed outside the establishment while wifey went to pick-up the order. This is when I decided to check the rest of the menu on Yelp and that's when I was impressed. I wish I had more time to study the menu earlier as the burgers, sammiches, sides and drinks were quite extensive and exciting. I wish I had known about the coffee shake as I would have ordered that. When wifey returned with the order, that's when I found out that my sister only ordered for us. Had we not been in a time crunch and the fact that a lot of people was lining up outside, I could've ordered additional items. But that will have to be on our return visit.
