It's a Five Guys, so really what's there to mess up? I have been here at least a dozen times. Usually the food is great. Last time my burger was red in the middle. Not pink, red. They did replace it promptly. My one dislike of this store is that in cold weather every person that comes in freezes out the place, as there is no foyer or double doors. DEAR MANAGEMENT: The (very young female) manager (black hat) that was on shift tonight around 6.15pm deserves a raise! That girl is going places. Her customer service was ON POINT! I'm in customer service and honestly, she handled things perfectly. Plus, everyone on shift seemed happy, things were running somewhat smoothly, she wasn't overbearing to the guy that called out "77" and a lady came up, looked in the bag and took it. I was "order 77" but I thought I must have heard him wrong. Turns out the lady rifled through the bag and left, with my order. We cleared it up and your very sweet staff said they were so sorry and were going to remake it. Then the lady comes back inside a few minutes later and I leaned over the counter saying quietly, " uhhh she touched it all and took the bag outside, sorry but I don't want that same order:( ". Your manager was sooooo great, she was like " no no we are remaking your order, by the time we make it we will give you another milkshake to go" I declined because the milkshake was amazing and it was my splurge tonight. I really only needed the calories from one. She even offered me a soda for my wait. I just really appreciate how she went above and beyond, her customer service was exceptional and she wasn't emotional, dramatic, or over bearing. Just sweet. I really appreciated that. So I'm pretty obsessed with finding bunless burger places and come to find out, Five Guys does this option! I can now consume burgers without all the carby guilt! I came in with my kids one Saturday afternoon and ordered the double patty. I specifically requested bunless, to which he asked if I wanted a lettuce cup. I said YES. Then I ordered a hot dog, little cheeseburger, and a thing of fries for my kids to share. The order came to $25. Oooooookay. We get home, I opened my burger box: NO LETTUCE CUPS. Literally the entire reason we came here was for the bunless lettuce cup option that I had been craving. Instead I had to eat burger patties with toppings a strew all over the box with a fork. Not appetizing. Not what I wanted. The food is good but they upcharged me for those lettuce cups that I never received. In fact, why are you upcharging for bunless period? I'm asking to TAKE AWAY an item. It's overpriced and I will go back to Zinburger or Boardwalk burgers for my bunless needs in the future. Very disappointed Five Guys, very disappointed. read more

I am a total sucker for a great burger... but it has to be great... no mediocre ones will do. With so many places serving burgers, it takes something special to set them apart. Five Guys definitely has that something special! This location is a bit smaller than others in the area, but that doesn't impact their ability to serve up a wonderful burger! All you smell when you walk in is grilling meat! Step up and order your creation with whatever toppings you want. I prefer the grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, and A1 sauce! The meat is incredibly fresh and tasty. The little hamburger is plenty for most appetites and has one patty. The regular hamburger has two patties. Be sure to order fries. The portions of fries are humongous and a small will do for two people. You can get them plain or Cajun spiced. I order mine well done to get them extra crispy! Their fries are fresh cut from real potatoes all day, every day! Five Guys even tells you what farm the potatoes are from! They also have a huge box of peanuts to crack open and enjoy while waiting for your order! One tip: The burger wrappers have a number on them. This is how to tell which burger belongs to which person in your party. The "1" is for the first burger ordered, and so on. I wish I knew that when I first started going here! read more

Some of my best high school memories involve this place. Whenever you wanted a really good burger, and I mean really good, this is where you would come. Before there were Five Guys everywhere, this was the closest one to my high school and we were willing to drive 20 minutes to get here, because the burgers were so good. When you walk in, you can tell that the joint has a very homey atmosphere, and there's a huge carboard box of peanuts on the floor. This is the kind of place where you can eat peanuts by the handful, as many as you want, and just drop the shells on the floor! It's so great. There are about 15 different toppings you can get on your burger, and they're all fresh. You order at the counter, and they get it done fast. The burgers themselves are HUGE, and the toppings just sort of ooze out of it (it's impossible to eat it without it falling apart). They're greasy and delicious and really just hit the spot. It's like a heart attack on a plate. The fries are the best fries I've ever had as well, and that's because they're so ridiculously greasy. Beware ordering large fries! Small fries are already probably more than you want. Large fries come in a huge paper bag, dripping with grease, and are enough for 3 people, at least. These are hands-down the best burgers and fries I've ever had. Everything is all-natural, fresh, and dripping with grease. It doesn't get any better than this. I've been meaning to write this review for some time. Odds are usually 50/50 on whether they get the toppings right. One time I ordered a little bacon cheeseburger and a guy a couple of orders back decided he wanted to add bacon. The lady said no problem to him and told him there was no charge. There was no bacon on the item I paid for but the other guy got it no problem and they acted bewildered when I opened the sandwich in front of them as well as showed them the receipt and asked why there was no bacon. Another time I called, they left me on hold the entire drive to the place and was still on hold when I arrived and was the next in line (approximately a 20 minute drive) when I asked why they still had me on hold. There were 5 minute gaps as well as multiple voices (orders). The guy shrugged like it was no big deal and asked me if I still wanted to order. The next time I ordered via the app and was assigned the number 59. My order was not ready when I got there. They said they were backed up with a lot of orders but served orders 61, 63 and 64 while I was still waiting for my order, which they had not even started and my order was submitted before all of those orders. read more

This location was my first Five Guys experience, a long long time ago. Five Guys is just as good now as it was back when I first had them, over 10 years ago. Fresh, simple, quality ingredients, burgers cooked perfectly and made to order. 5 Guys offers a large amount of toppings, just so hungry patrons can build their perfect burger. Five Guys is a great place to go with your friends at any point. We used to drive all the way here from Vienna just for the burgers and fries. Yes, I know. There are plenty of other places to go, but it takes FOREVER to get ANYWHERE in the DC area. For example, it took 10 minutes to get from one side of I-95, where my hotel was, to Five Guys, which I COULD SEE FROM MY HOTEL ROOM! Rant, over. The only reason I got to Five Guys is to consume a days worth of calories and fat in one meal. This craziness doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's such a delicious treat. Burger? Juicy and awesome. Fries? Tasty and awesome. Service? A little slow given my extreme need for beefy goodness. Five Guys is a chain, but it doesn't feel like one. 1st of all, there is no way this place comes close to the glorious slice of heaven in burger form known as IN-N-OUT. IN-N-OUT's toasted yet spongy fresh buns, animal-style fixings, milkshakes, service with a smile and giant safepins on their aprons, prices (half of Five Guys'), and creepy yet predictably awesome subliminal bible references on the packaging just can't be beat. Here's what's pretty good about Five Guys- burgers are bigger (but not really cheap), made to order (as they should be), nice selection of toppings at no charge (including green bell peppers and mushrooms) and the fries are handcut and really good (albeit very greasy, and even greasier and better when doused with malt vinegar). They also serve free peanuts when waiting, which is cute. This location is like a sad truck stop for burgers being right off the highway in Springfield, but if you are here and hungry for a burger, it's friendly, pretty clean, and not as busy at other locations, unless you have a bunch of government dudes crashing here for lunch. The french fries are some of the best around and a large is enough fries to share with 2 people. It's a LOT of fries. The staff is friendly and very quick. This is one of the original Five Guys. Recently made a trip out here and I'm glad it did. I was losing heart with Five Guys because several of their newer locations have dropped the ball. I don't know what it is but the burgers at this location just seem juicier and tastier. Fries were cooked perfectly and the burger wasn't overcooked which has happened several times at their other locations. Omg, burgers are good but the people don't have a clue what they're doing there. Just placed an order for two cheeseburgers and a shake. What gets totaled? One cheeseburger and a shake! So I place a separate order for the other burger, and wait in line just to sit there and have them forget about the order completely!! Watched everyone before me and after me get their food first. I went to this location on Thursday, February 9th and I was excited since I hadn't had a good burger in a while. The gentleman that took my order that even was very kind, respectful and had a welcoming smile! I order a bacon and cheese kosher dog and a little cheese burger. I waited for my food and ate it in the car after receiving it. The buns were cold and the meat was warm. I didn't have the time to go back inside because I had a long commute ahead of me but hopefully the buns are warmed in the future along with piping hot meat :-) The cheese on my food wasn't even melted. So this is my first disappointing Five Guys experience but hopefully we'll have a more successful experience in the future. read more
