This is a surprisingly functional Taco Bell. Most of the ones I go to, something is off or my order is incomplete. But I walked in and was able to place a somewhat large order (10 items) and received them all in a very reasonable amount of time. The cashier was also very friendly. The interior looked mostly clean. There were some people just hanging out outside by the parking lot on a hot summer day, but maybe they were just looking for shade, and they weren't bothering anyone. read more

This is your typical stand-alone Taco Bell franchise complete with a drive-thru. Their dining room is very standard and generally clean. I would consider this particular location better than average in large part to the quality of their service--efficient, accommodating, and well-mannered. We've ordered online, at the drive-thru, and at the dine-in counter. We typically don't spend too long waiting for our food. Just recently, when we were dinning in, the food came out seconds after placing the order. Also, I guess it's general practice to order from the kiosk but since we were in a rush, they were willing to take our order at the counter...in a helpful way. I made an online order for the first time ever. Pulled into the drive thru, waited about a minute, which isn't bad if it's busy. When the attendant finally said something I couldn't understand a word they said. I just said, "Hi, picking up an online order for "Insert Name Here." More indecipherable words came back. I asked them to repeat themselves. Finally understood one word, which was WINDOW. OK, I drive to the window. Waiting, waiting, and waiting. No one comes to the window to say it will be a little while. I see the attendent moving around inside but no customers are at the counter. Five minutes later (I'm Serious, five minutes) The window opens and the attendant just hands out the bag. I take it and before the bag is in my car the attendant has the window shut and walks away. Terrible customer service. Two stars cause the food was good but corporate should make a surprise visit to this place and bring it up to par. read more

Had the occasion to eat here just before they obsoleted my favorite menu item, the Mexican Pizza! Paired with a couple of hard taco supremes topped off with some fire sauce and it is a damn good fast food lunch for cheap. I was going to get one taco and the pizza but it was like $.50 more for the second taco and drink lol. Been to this Taco Bell a couple of times during lunch time and always a long and slow line. Last time I went will definately be my last. They rang me up for the wrong order at the first window. Then gave me the wrong food and as I pulled out they said I didnt oay? So I backed up and the African America manager (i am not racist I am merely describing the manager) rang me up for the correct order. As she tried to refund the first incorrect order I paid for she rang it up for the 2nd time then tried to tell me she refunded. On the receipt it did not show refund only charged again. After being frustrated (I was) she finally listened and did it again and refunded me twice for the two times she charged me incorrectly. Leaving only the food I ordered being paid for. She was upset with me. Why I dont know? Not my fault? I said politely they should do a better and organized job on handling the drive thru. She got more upset and actually said F you to me. She cursed me out. The managers name is SANDRA. And there were two witness employees who also heard. I have called corporate to file the complaint. Imagine if there were little kids in the car? This was probably the best Taco Bell I have been to in the area, if not one of my all time top ten Taco Bells. This location was very clean (including the bathroom). The staff was friendly and my order was fast, fresh, and correct. The staff there were also great at figuring out that I did not know how I wanted my meat/cheese/tortilla arranged and allowed me plenty of time to figure it out, and when I took a step forward they were ready to assist. Again, one of the best Taco Bells I have been to in a long time. Great management and staff here! read more

I came here for lunch today and ordered the 5 layer burrito and soft taco supreme. I brought in my own zero calorie tea because I stopped drinking sofas a few months ago. There were four other people already eating, so there was no line or wait whatsoever. This was the first time that I had tried the 5 layer burrito, and it was not that bad. It's all I had room for in my stomach, and I managed to finish all of it. The lady who took my order was nice and I think it took about 3 minutes for them to deliver it. This is a nice Taco Bell restaurant. The place is kept clean and the food is as good as you're going to get in any of their locations. The strongest point is the staff. They work fast, they know what they're doing and they make your food fresh on the spot. The only star I removed is because almost all the time you'll have homeless people asking you for money. This newer Taco Bell is a strong upgrade over the vast majority of Taco Bells in the Greater Alexandria region. They provide delicious mealt cheese beans rice vegetable tortilla foods at a reasonable price and they don't try to rip you off. The staff on this Taco Bell team is actually quite adept at their positions. We frequent this establishment and rarely have to have missing items replaced. Not much to say except it's clean, competent, and OPEN UNTIL 3AM ON THE WEEKEND. Hear that, Route 1 eateries: people do get hungry after 10pm and they need something to eat after a night of dancing and nightclubbing. That stretch of Route 1 is filled with a mixed bag of eateries, but if you're hungry after 10pm, you're pretty much stuck with McDonalds or the odd pizzeria. Everybody's kitchen closes at 10pm, including all my favorite tacquerias (La Mexicana and Tacos El Costalilla). After a late night downtown, I would often find myself having to drive to the Taco Bell near Fort Belvoir to get my late night taco fix, but not anymore. It's new, so the place is clean, but if you're doing late night dining, the only thing that's open is the drive through, which is fine by me. They only thing they're lacking is the fabled Chili Cheese Burrito, but I can't fault them for that. No Taco Bell in DC/MD/VA carries it anymore. The 99 cent menu will get the job done without making your pants explode, but those 1lb burritos make a great nightcap. Bonus points for being pretty well lit. read more

I am a junk food junkie. My Babbo and WWW knew it and heck he was one too. Taco Bell was our special treat and the TB back home is pretty awesome. This place blew me away. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The food taste just like any other TB. The staff - wow. The people were actually happy. The normally mood teenager at the register was pleasant, the food prepares were methodical, and they pronounced my name right! A gentlemen came in greeting the staff, he knew their names, yes he actually knew his employees. I can't say with 100 percent that this fellow was the owner, he might have been the manager, I dunno. Why bother with those adorable sayings on the packet if you are going to run out? I love the dollar menu. HOW do you not have enough packets of mild sauce?? The tostadas are my favorite. I was charged more than what their menu on the drive through stated and when I brought it up with the cashier, she tried to tell me that difference was taxes when the receipt clearly showed the breakdown of the price and tax. I would do anything in the world to give this place 0 stars. I came in today trying to get a nacho fries box along with other things and it seems that it was the manager's first day. I had to repeat the order 3 times to this manager and still managed to get it wrong. What amazing customer service! After that traumatic experience. I drive up to the window, and I was given the food after getting nasty stares from 2 employees. I drove home and realized I didn't even get my box. How difficult can it be to ring a box? Find out at this Taco Bell! Shortly after getting home. I called Taco Bell to hopefully resolve this issue, asked for the manager and told her about my issue. She proceeds to get an attitude and speak over me when I'm trying to explain my situation and frustration and my confusion as to what went wrong. Well two things that stop me from going there more often is that the sodas in the restaurant are always so watered down. Seconds reason; food poisoning, I always somehow manage to get food poisoned when I go there.
