Pretty ordinary hamburgers, nothing to get excited about. Service is okay but you do have to wait a while for your food. The whole decorating theme is bags of peanuts stacked up and lots of articles about how great Five Guys is. I love burgers but I doubt I'll go back, because the food isn't any better than something you'd get from a drive thru. read more

So, this place is way over priced. Almost $5 for a single patty burger at a fast food joint? My burger was luke warm and the cheese wasn't even melted. Ok, so you get all the toppings you want for free, I don't think I have ever had to pay extra for toppings at a fast food place on a burger anyway... The only thing you normally pay extra for is cheese and that is the same case at five guys. The best part was the fries and free peanuts (all though peanuts were kind of odd). I got a small salted fry and it was enough for 2. Probably wont be going back, I'd rather wait in "In n Outs" drive thru for 30 minutes instead lol. read more

Not usually a huge beef or burger fan but-Yes. The best Burger I've had in Vacaville in a while. Super juicy, loaded with all the goodies, been here just three times and always cooked perfect! Ate the messy hamburger here and it was all good. How can you ding a place that also offers you all the FREE roasted peanuts you can eat and let's you know where the wall of 50lb bags of potatoes sitting on the floor are from? We drove around the Nut Tree parking lot, trying to to find this place. The sign only faces 1 way, so it took a bit to finally find it. The burgers are fine, though they looked very smushed together. The bun barely made it through the process of eating the burger. I liked the sauteed mushrooms a lot; the sauteed onions needed to be cooked a bit longer. However, the burger meat was woefully under-seasoned. I am so not a salt freak, so for me to even notice was worth a comment. The fries needed more salt, too. Fries were good, much better than In N Out (I absolutely hate In N Out fries!!!). . Five Guys is another pricey burger joint. We spent over $20 and just got 2 burgers, 1 serving of fries and 2 regular sodas. The peanuts were free . . . I would rather go to Fenton's and get a burger there. read more

I'm not impressed with the food here. While there is a wide selection of toppings it doesn't mask that the burgers are generic meat patties. I will say that the Cajun fries are decent so if you care less about taste of the burger then I'd recommend this place. read more

AMAZING GREASY BURGERS! First thought that always comes to mind when thinking of Five Guys, Burgers of course! I have to say this place puts In N Out to shame! Freshly cooked burgers with a side of a whole bunch of fries! The only down side is the wait time but that is only because you are having freshly cooked burgers, so the wait is just fine! After eating here a few times, I have enjoyed the burgers that I ordered. The amount of fries that I get here is always worth the money, and I love it when it is served all over the inside of the bag that it comes in. Like many of these other places, you can order it bunless, and the burger is still great. The only things I must say about this place is that I always prefer eating my fries with mustard instead of ketchup, and getting mustard for my fries is not instantly as accessible as getting ketchup or vinegar. Also, if one is going here, he or she must be aware of how much money to set aside. Expect to spend around $30 for a nice sized meal for two people. This is always a great place to be in terms of flavor and quality though. read more

If your looking for a greasy burger joint much in the line of "In n Out", then this place is pretty much that. You can pile on all sorts of toppings for free. Fries are kinda flaccid, but the cajun powder seasoning is pretty good. Overall, not bad. read more

I have eatin at Five Guys twice at two different locations. Even though both times i felt like i was having a heart attack from all the grease the food did taste great. The layout of the rest. in Vacaville is not my fave, a little cramped. For the price of the food here i would rather just eat at in-n-out as i can't see spending this much for fast food and paying a la carte for it all. The burger was very good. Watch out though the "regular" burger on the menu is really a double, the smaller burger is what you'd normally consider regular sized. Do not care for their fries at all. The walls of the restaurant are lined with newspaper clippings proclaiming it as good cheap eats but I think they are overpriced. $10 for a single patty burger, fries and soda. The small fries are $2 and they give you too many. Would rather have half the fries for half the price. If I went back I think I'd skip the fries and just get a burger. But this wouldn't be my first choice burger joint just because of price. read more

Geez, how could an 'effin burger meal create so much gripe? The bun broke apart after two bites. The cheese was no better the neon orange slice on a big mac and saltier than sucking on kelp. The meat was overworked - it fell apart and didn't taste particularly fresh. The fries tasted like cooking oil, and had no salt added. Two bucks for a medium fountain soda. And for the privilege of a crappy meal, you get to pay them twelve bucks. For the same price, I had a perfectly respectable burger plate at Cheesecake Factory yesterday. I'm writing this review at Kaiser, Vacaville. My Mom and I ate at Five Guys last night. The service was great, which is the first star. I didn't get sick is the second star. My Mom had a cheeseburger and I had a grilled cheese. This was approximately 8:00 pm. By 4:30 am my Mom was not feeling well. Violent vomiting and diarrhea, cramping, pain. She called me at work at 7:50 am. She could barely talk. She called 911 and had to crawl to the door to unlock it. The paramedics found her lying on the floor. The hospital confirmed food poisoning. Needless to say, we do not recommend this place at all. read more

I don't get the hype. Sure the burgers are good (certainly better than In-n-Out) but there's a lot to be desired. My review is for all Five Guys I suppose, nothing against this one in particular. The food is served in brown bags, regardless if you are dining in or taking out. Kind of cheap and trashy. The dining area is this clinical, sterile-like, tiled area. Makes me feel like I'm eating in a 70s era surgery room. The food was good, but nothing to sneeze at. Granted you could pay about the same, or a little more, at an independent burger joint and get a much more patron-friendly atmosphere. We like the fact that there are a lot of free toppings to choose from to add to your burger. I usually order the little hamburger (1 patty) but if I'm super hungry, I'll get the hamburger (2 patty) which will barely fit in my mouth. They also give you lots of fries. read more

I would'v'e gave 5 stars but it's pricey for a regular bacon cheeseburger, small cajun fries and a small soda. Also, the fries became soggy since I took it to go. Stopped in yesterday for a quick bite and to see if you could get a "Paleo" style burger, ie., no bun. They do indeed have such an item you can either have it in a bowl or wrapped in lettuce leaves. We chose the bowl with just about everything. The burgers arrived hot and the toppings as ordered. I was disappointed that a single patty was so small. It was a bit too well done for my taste, but food safety has to trump personal preference in fast food setting. All in all a good burger with good flavor, but my preference is still In n Out by far. read more

One of the best, if not the best in Vacaville. I know its a chain, but the food is consistent, the burgers are awesome and the fries...well, they are terrific! The ability to put on all fixings you want and as much as you need is fantastic. The idea of peanuts to snack on while waiting is another creative idea for a burger joint. We are definite regulars and for now, don't go anywhere else in Vacaville. read more
