This five guys is just like every other five guys we've been too. You can never go wrong. The food is always great for a "fast food" burger. The man that took our order was friendly as well. The only thing that could make these places 5 stars would be a larger seating area. I would say more people sit in and dine after ordering than take it to go. My first 5 guys outing - Tried the cheeseburger with works in bowel no bun - way to go as you can handle this mess with a fork and knife - it's burger taste is about the best ever had - beef is excellent highly recommended - now the fries - barely eatable - soggy and oil was past due for changing - to make crispy fries you have to drop twice and with their set up using fresh potatoes they can not do that so fries will always be limp and soggy so skip fires and order burgers read more

This might be a bit of a biased review since I have never enjoyed a meal at 5 Guys.. but here I go! My boyfriend's mom likes 5 Guys. I hate it. Every time we go there I get sick... nauseated and a tummy ache from the food. Which is weird because I can eat burgers at other places. But he felt obligated to go... so I begrudgingly obliged. I always feel like 5 Guys are such dives. I would much rather go to Smashburger or a Tom and Eddie's. We ordered our burgers and they got my order wrong. Burgers are sufficiently good to put 5G back in the Vero roster. It's good, not great, and I think just about every burger should be $1 off to be priced appropriately, but it was pretty busy today at 5pm, so the majority seem not to mind the prices. Fries are good, they carry malt vinegar, and they have free peanuts while you wait for your order. Mind you there's an article posted on the wall of every five guys talking about how customers will return if they feel they were given more than enough to eat. Pretty good burgers, but they are a little overpriced.If they'd cut back on the fries which unless you split them with someone, you'll never finish, you could save some dough. If you're dining with someone, split fries and the price averages out. One thing that I do love is that available upon request is "fresh" jalapenos. Yes, fresh, not pickled. Love both, but on a burger fresh is crazy good. Overall good experience and the staff is always really nice and takes care of you. Other than the price, I'm down with Five Guys. It's good every now and then when you need a decent burger. Oh yeah, and the other thing, tell the cooks not to mash the burgers, a lot of the juices escape. I have been to this location about 4 or 5 times so this is a summary of about 2 years of visits. I have been to other Five Guys and my comments regard the Vero location. Overall: Meh. Average. Mediocre. That's not to say I hate it, but let's put it this way, "I'm picky. If you want to charge above average prices for burgers and fries then you gotta wow me." The Five Guys location in Vero just doesn't do it for me. Whenever I leave I'm always disappointed because I have spent about $12 for a double cheese w/bacon, fries and drink. The overall concept is fantastic. No upcharge for toppings & fresh ingredients. They cut their own potatoes. The Vero location just doesn't execute and they will not be getting my moola any more. That's it period. I don't think this location has ever served me crispy fries. They're always limp, greasy and sogged out. That's exactly how fries aren't supposed to be! Went in about 15 minutes before closing and we were treated so poorly. The employees were rude, literally poured hot fries from the fryer onto our burgers, no salt no draining the grease... my burger was rare and still cold in the middle! I personally believe the burger was purposely cooked rare as the other 3 burgers were properly cooked. We also paid for bacon and then was told they were out, because he didn't want to spend the time making what we ordered. He was pissed that we ordered French fries because he would have to make them.. I would hope that for $50.00 in food it would be made to order.... I had to read the other reviews before I wrote mine. While I agree with most I have to say one thing.....If you order on line chance are your fries are gonna be soggy. They make your order up and it sits waiting on you. This was my first visit to any 5 guys even though my son sings praise to the burger and fry gods regarding this place. Burgers here are NOT flame broiled, they are done on a flat top making for a very juicy burger. Fries? Hey Mickey D's has nothing on these fries. The peanuts are a nice touch too. Keep in mind if you have peanut allergy STAY AWAY. All products are fried in peanut oil. Do I think they're pricey? Yeah but everything now a days seems to be. If you're the type of person that loves to have juice run down your arms when you pick up your burger, this place is definitely for you. read more
