Best Five Guys Ever! Service is good place is clean & my burger was juicy s/o to the manager

Was about to go to the establishment next door, but it was taking so long, I decided to try 5 Guys. Had AWESOME customer service from Aaliyah who greeted me warmly with a smile as soon as I walked in, & then proceeded to make my food fresh to order, and I was in & out in no time! If you want a burger, and employee drama, this Five Guys have you covered. During our order, we have had to shout over the arguments that were had in the kitchen area. No idea what they were arguing about, the noise they were making was like two muppets speaking in their native language. After like twenty minutes, it came to discover their argument was at least non-violent. Like who's dad could beat up who's dad if they knew where they were. After that we finally got our meals, food is pretty much what you expect; greasy grilled heaven. And the fries were a little too soggy this time. At least it was peaceful during the meal. read more

I'd never been to this 5 guys before, and when I pulled it up to check in on Yelp I saw the low ratings and it made me worry a bit. That being said, my experience here was as good as it has been at any other 5 guys that I've ever been to. Quick, friendly, massive amounts of fries, order prepared accurately, and a clean and tidy environment. Maybe they have had some turnover since the wave of bad reviews...I don't know. But I'm happy to report that this 5 guys is doing great, as 5 guys usually does, and that it's safe to stop in and give them a try. I wasn't disappointed and you probably won't be either. read more

I stopped in here a couple of days ago. I did see a clean operation and while waiting noticed they also have shakes. The hamburger was listed at $9.95 and consists of two patties plus whatever else you want to add (cheese extra) at no extra charge. I added mushrooms and passed on everything else. What I saw I liked but the burger was for someone else who reported it was dry. Well with no lettuce or tomato or mayo or ketchup I'm not surprised. Still I give them 4 stars for what I bought. Now the price did not include fries so it's not low cost but it does seem to me to be a place to try out. There is no drive through but parking was easy and they do grill it right in front of you. The place was a bit busy but my wait was not that long. I am intrigued by their shake flavors especially the one that says "malted milk". As an old timer I miss those malteds we used to get! read more

Disappointing, in spades. Came in on a random Thursday night, I've been hoping for a five guys to open up in Lakewood for quite some time. Unfortunately though, just like the other poster said, this place is certainly not ready for prime time. Ordered as per usual, the cashier was new, but that wouldn't be so much of a problem if we didn't end up spending a good 10 minutes ordering a simple burger. Either way, fine, we ordered two burgers with various condiments and a side of fries and a side of jalapeños, hard to screw up right? One of our burgers was completely lacking jalapeños. The one that I got WITH jalapeños came with grilled jalapeños. Yes, of course this doesn't truly matter, but I come to give guys uniquely for the ability to get a good raw-jalapeño based burger. Nope. The fries we received were regular fries. Not Cajun. Had to embarassingly bring back their bag of fries and proceed to wait another 10 minutes just to get my fries. To top it all off the burger was D R Y. I thought the golden one had dry brugers, but you could TASTE the dryness of the patty, it tasted like some chewed up meat put in between a couple of pieces of cardboard. Five guys is NOT cheap for a burger place. You can find the equivalent by just throwing a rock in a random direction, you'd probably find something better than this five guys. Shame on you five guys owners, truly I'm saddened and expected way, way more. read more

Absolute garbage! Fries burnt, hot dog smashed, burger with onions though asked for no onions. Burger, hotdog, fries and a soda for $27.97 add tip of $4.20 for total bill of $32.17. If I had known, I would have never tipped in the first place. First tme to try Five Guys, last time I ever will. read more

It boggles my mind, and I hope I don't regret this review, but they've always been amazing and have been coming here since they opened this location. Super nice, willing to fix mistakes, and make great food. I'm sure everyone else who's ever made a review are absolutely perfect and make no failings in life. Had a really busy day and was able to catch Five guys 10 minutes before they closed. Nonetheless, the service was remarkable. I ordered two burgers and a little fry. They asked if I wanted anything on the burgers and even gave me a drink. Nelson and Aiden were great (there was another guy that helped but I didn't catch his name), I appreciate them so much for all of their kindness and patience with me, especially after a long day of work in the service industry. 10/10, would 100% recommend. read more

This is by far One of the best five guys I've ever been to. The place is super clean and they were very efficient. Came in on the way to the airport with a group of nine. When I ask for extra he actually puts extra. Always the perfect amount of fries. The restaurant is always clean and service is fast. The food was fine but the people seemed rude and stressed; more than what's necessary when dealing with a customer. Some lady named DD (if i overheard her name correctly) was busy in trying to get larger orders out for my lunch which is earlier cause i work earlier), anyway she gave me this death stare of "you just saw me tell this one customer that their food isn't ready so why the hell would yours be"... wasn't much but never had i done that to others. Rude lady. The vibe was just stressful and cruel in the sense that the food and pleasing their managers came before the customer. Thankfully i have other locations to eat:) People in restaurants these days are insane, ruin the vibe and joy of food, and are unfortunately hateful when it comes to customers. I have always thought a well placed Five Guys franchise should be a goldmine if run correctly. This is the first Five Guys I have ever been to where I wondered if the business will make it. This is a newly opened franchise and they are not ready for prime time, at least not during dinner hours. I have eaten dinner at or from this location four times now, and have as yet to come away satisfied. This is as opposed to other Five Guys locations where I am routinely pleased. They need to start melting the cheese on burgers, and with the amount of fry vats they have there is no excuse for room temp fries. These faux pas have all been with only one or two other customers in the place, so it's not like they were slammed and lost track of a few things. Tonight I was literally the sole customer at the time. I almost started barking orders on what to do and when. The fry guy pulled them too early relative to the burger they would go with so they were a little underdone and not hot by the time they were dumped in my bag. This was the only order he had to deal with, mind you. At the same time, for reasons I don't understand, the grill man didn't put cheese on a cheeseburger until I pointed out that he forgot as I was watching him wrap it up. He then slapped on a slice. It never really melted. Again, the only order he had. The cold fries thing has happened 3 times. A previous burger mishap was missing condiments. Tonight, I took one bite of an unappetizing burger, had three cold fries and tossed the rest. $15 bucks down the drain plus the cost of where I go next. The folks from the parent brand standards division may may want to send in a secret shopper or two. No one here is rude or anything and I'm sure they all mean well, but something seems systemically wrong at this one. They're just not doing it right, in my experience. read more

My first ever 1-star review for a restaurant. Ordered a grilled cheese and fries. Not complicated, no one ahead of me. About 10 minutes later, I realized a "grilled cheese sandwich" had been sitting on the counter for quite a while. I started timing from that point to see how long it would sit there. Six minutes later, I got bored with that and asked about it. Yup, it was my order. After bagging two more orders, they wrapped it up and gave it to me cold. It had mostly un-melted cheese ON TOP of a sesame seed hamburger bun. And mayo! On a grilled cheese, really? I got through two bites and threw it in the trash. The fries were a little mushy, but not terrible. While the employees were polite and friendly, the quality of the product was a disaster.
