Came here to support my nephews school fundraiser for an upcoming field trip they'll soon be taking. Ordered $93.39 worth of food...mind you I don't even eat chicken/meat anymore of any kind of meat so this was all to support my babies. Anyhoo-one of the staff working tonight came over to our table and informed my sister that she was supposed to receive 8 coupons for free breakfast sandwiches, with tonight's purchase, however he had 4 in his hand, wrapped in a copy of my receipt. The young man, asked if we could look through the bags to see if the other cards were by chance placed in the bags, and they weren't so he said he would be back with the other 4. He literally stood with us as we checked to see if we had already had them. But we DID NOT. If the young man never mentioned anything about these coupons, we wouldn't have even known this was an incentive for coming tonight. I allowed the kiddies to dine in. So many of their classmates were present and they wanted to hang out with their friends a bit. After they were finished and we began cleaning, preparing to leave, and I remembered the young man never returned with the vouchers/coupons that he had mentioned. So I went to the front looking for him and explained the situation to who I assumed was a manager, because I couldn't find the original person we had spoken to, however the young man we originally spoke to and another young lady were congregated together and I could hear them saying they had already given us the gift cards as if I was trying to finesse them for more. I was appalled! Just disgusted and disappointed. Like I literally just spent damn near $100 just because and you really think I'd be pressed for some free sandwich coupons?!!!???!!! Help me make it make sense! Have some COUTH for goodness sake's! I tell you one thing! They won't ever have to worry about my bring my babies here ever again! School event or not. When I stopped for lunch there was only 1 lane for some reason. But it was a fast one. As if all those juicy flavorful burgers were cooking and sizzling about incessantly.. I've been going to this particular Taco Bell for a long time now and I order from there at least…read moreonce a week. But it is getting worse and worse and I have made the determination that I just can't do business there anymore. I always order ahead of time and do 'pickup'. However, there have been numerous issues with this, namely, that when I get there, my food either isn't ready, they can't seem to find the order or I can literally see it, but have to wait for someone to actually acknowledge me. For whatever reason, they have the drive-thru operator also manning the front counter. There is literally no logic in that. Second, WHY HAVE THE PICKUP SHELVES IF THEY AREN'T GOING TO BE USED ANYMORE. GET RID OF THEM. Or better yet, do what Little Caesar's did. When a person places a mobile order for pickup, send them a 3 digit numerical code. Have locked shelves where the order is placed and kept warm. Then the customer inputs the code, the door opens for the shelf containing their order, then they can grab it and leave, no employee interaction necessary. But the current method is just terrible. I ordered last night, the app said my order would be ready at 8:59PM. The lady working the drive thru asked my name, I told her, she said she couldn't find my order. I showed her the order on my taco bell app, including what items were in the order and the order number. And then nothing, I just stood there and waited for an additional 20 minutes waiting until they finally gave me my food. This isn't a one off either. This is essentially the norm. You order ahead of time with the expectation that it will be ready by the time you arrive. You get there and either can't get your food because it's over by the drive thru window or they haven't made it or they gave it to someone else. And even if your order is there, you have to try to flag someone down or wait for them to actually acknowledge you are there before you can get your order. This is just terrible service. They employees are nice enough, but who the heck wants to wait an additional 20 minutes for their "fast food"?
