Found their food truck at the Bellevue Arts Fair on Saturday. Lady taking orders was super friendly, accommodating too. Food came out fast and fresh. I got the seared ahi bowl- super tender fresh fish with perfect amount of salt. Veggies were grilled to be cooked but not mushy or bitter. I even liked the asparagus, and I normally hate asparagus. Rice was rice but tasted fresh. Fries a bit too salty for me but fries are just like that- the cook on them was perfect though. 10/10- love this place! read more

We ordered both cod and halibut fish & chips, so it was great to be able to try both for our first order from Five Hooks. Both were super crisp and had good flavor, the fries were also crisp-neither which are easy feats for take out fish and chips. Salt level was perfect ,even the fries and I loved that neither were over salted as they are at so many restaurants now. But darn, although hubs' fish was perfect, I had bones in one of each piece. And although it can be challenging to remove all bones from fish, sometimes, I cannot ever recall having bones in my fried fish. Sooo, this is why a 3 star review. Since hubs fish had none, tho, guessing this is not the norm We really appreciated their Covid safety protocols and super nice staff. read more

Oh my gosh, that was days ago and I still think about how good it was. I want more! It paired perfectly with a spicy tarter aioli that was drizzled on top. But what made it so memorable was the shrimp batter. It was very crispy, crunchy, crumbly and buttery. Way more crunch than a typical beer batter. And it didn't hide the shrimp at all. It was still the star. 5 stars to be exact! And the fries were perfectly crispy as well. Seasoned lightly and simply. The quality of food really showed through even though it was fried. They come to our neighborhood fairly regularly and it's one of our favorites. They do fish and chips and tacos really well, yummy fish and good portions. Coleslaw is not included, so order it as a side if you would like one. The only small negative is the clam chowder, it's more like pudding, but I guess if stuff is cooking for a while, stuff just thickens (a lot). Oh and don't forget to bring your own bag, they don't provide one and if you grab dinner for a couple of people, it's hard to carry everything without dropping the boxes. read more

I order the crispy moist Blackened Salmon big piece, layer over tender not mushy grilled zucchini and caramelized Brussels sprouts that came with Generous amount of steamed rice cook perfectly, and a small container of seaweed salad bonus points! That was $23 plus tax. I also got a large clam chowder but thought the recipe needed work, less of a chowder more like a creamed soup that was a bit gelatinous, needs bigger bites of veggies and potatoes to it. Wow Wow Wow Chef Paul does fish and chips the right way. The dish was full of flavor. Not greasy at all and it was soo fresh. I also had the Colombia river steelhead and it was cooked perfectly.
