The best food in Renton. Great place to eat, drink and watch the game. There's a little something for everyone here.

Doofers Burger from Doofers Bar & Grill in Renton, WA. Burger: Bacon: Tots: This beast is a full 1-pound burger with bacon and chili. The tots were awesome. This Bastard will definitely go back at some point. Picture of dessert is down below.

BLT w/ an egg! Yummy. The pickles are delicious.

Got invited to have breakfast and Doofers it is. Had their eggs Benedict w/sausage patty substituted for the Canadian bacon. I got to say, I was surprised. Crispy edges to the muffins was perfect! I was gonna give 4 stars because the place is a bit dated and would love to see a refresher of this spot, however, I still have this meal in my head as they also made the hash browns perfectly too. It was the right amount of food as I cleaned this plate good. Awesome service as my meal was delivered right when I arrived. Delicious! Great company too, meet a real nice lady as we were eating at the bar counter. That makes this place unique as we can have breakfast to dinner at the bar counter. Would be nice to see some new colors and flooring to the place to keep it fresh.

Pretty decent bar! Everyone minds their own business, doesnt cause a ruckus, the food is decent, and the service is great. However, the place is a bit unhygienic. PROS: -Not disruptive. There was a soccer game going on where a couple tables were closely watching, but it wasnt over the top where they make their business everyone's business. -Waitress was sweet, not bothersome, and was present to check on us after getting our meal, when it was time to order, and when we were done if we were ready for the check/if we wanted to order more. -Food & drinks. I mean a couple of us in our party ordered a beer and it tasted like it should, so thats a plus. We all ordered different items for food. The Oriental Salad, my aunt in law says its good. The Clubhouse Sandwich, my husband says wasnt bad. The Cowboy Burger, my uncle in law, said is always his go to here at Doofers so it was still great to him. The Bleu Cheese Burger, I loved. The cheese melted atop the patty with the condiments mixed in was delicious. Bun was crisp on the edges, so had satisfying bites throughout. CONS: -Place is a bit dingy but expected because it is a bar afterall. However, didnt like that you can see all the dirt at the bottom of the table and at the side of the table. Basically, cleaning is just like the phrase "sweeping under the rug". -Huge parking lot, but because its next to a venue, tons of people are parked for the venue and Doofers. Didnt have to fight much for parking though, but vacant spaces will go quick.

My girlfriend and I stopped into Doofers for breakfast before pressing on for the day. Breakfast is served on the weekends (Sat-Sun) from 9am-12pm. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Credit cards are accepted. Doofers is family friendly. For those that like to gamble, pull tabs are available. During our Sunday morning visit, Doofers was jam packed. I would have preferred to sit in the bar; however, we had to take what was available in the family dining area. While looking over the menu, I slurped on a Lush IPA for $7.50 and my girlfriend slurped on a Mac & Jack for $6.75. For my meal I chose the Breakfast Burrito for $13.95: sausage, bacon, ground beef, cheddar cheese, pepper jack cheese, and salsa wrapped in a tortilla topped with sour cream. I chose the Country Potatoes as my side. Doofers has a variety of Tabasco flavors so I chose my favorite habanero Tabasco to garnish my burrito with. My girlfriend opted for Country Fried Steak & Egg Breakfast for $14.95. My girlfriend is allergic to eggs and requested her meal be served without them. Our server should have reduced the meal price accordingly since my girlfriend was unable to eat the three eggs that come with this meal. Food was satisfactory. Prices are honest. Service was excruciatingly slow and unfriendly.

Plus, lots of free parking (huge win for DT Renton). The space itself is quirky in the best way -- cozy, charming, and just feels good to be in. We ordered the Crispy Pork Shank and WOW. So tender and flavorful, and that creamy mushroom orzo + rosemary cream combo is unreal. Also had the Bleu Cheese & Caramelized Onion Steak Frites -- perfectly cooked, rich, and super satisfying with those fries. Drinks were on point too -- solid beer on tap and a really good Cabernet. Service was incredible -- attentive, friendly, and just overall made the experience even better. Food: AMAZING Service: AMAZING Vibes: Cozy + quirky perfection Red House stays on my favorites list.

We were immediately intrigued because it is a popular recommended spot, and it has a genuinely warm, welcoming atmosphere since the restaurant is inside an actual house. Our server was wonderful, being very patient and giving us great recommendations since it was our first time. We ended up ordering the Korean chicken wings along with a special they were running: a cranberry brie sandwich with sweet potato fries. We also both ordered their raspberry mule, which paired well with the meal. Because we enjoyed everything so much, we decided to get dessert. Tip: make sure you ask what the options are, as we couldn't find them on the menu. Overall, this was a great dinner spot. There is plenty of parking right out front, and everyone we met during our stay was kind and respectful. I will definitely be coming back during the summer!

Sadly they were out of their corn chowder by 6:30. My friend happily scarfed down her entire porkchop, which she was impressed to have done as they're quite large chops! I was not 100 percent sold on their interpretation of bread pudding but that was more a personal style preference than a bad item. Our server was great - friendly and checked in on us but not so much as to interrupt conversation. It's a fairly large restaurant and was bustling on a Saturday night. I will say if you have an important conversation to have, probably not the right place as it's quite noisy, especially if you're near the kitchen. Or ask to move to the patio, if the weather is good! If you want a busy place with a community feeling, this is perfect.

The house made ketchup they are so proud of is very sweet. So if you really don't like sweet with your fries be warned. So decided to try them for dinner. I had the zucchini lasagna. Yikes. Lets call it dry cheese lasagna with a sliver or 2 of zucchini. Was really expecting a more veggie type dish. Not what I got. Also the arugula and pickled red onion salad was super bland. My hubby tried the halibut dish at 42$. He had an overcooked piece of fish and a side of basic potatoes and broccoli. So sorry to say that this place....as cute as it is and a nice as they are is off our list.

The food was great, I had a large slider and some clam chowder and my friend had a large slider with some brussel sprouts. However, the service was terrible. There were 3-4 servers behind the bar, but it took us around 15 minutes to even get one of them to acknowledge us. They did have a small crowd, but nothing outrageous. The servers were obviously busy, but they ignored our efforts to be helped and 3 other couples got served who sat down after us. When we left, there was only a few people left in the bar, and the servers had turned over. The new bartender/server also ignored us. He finally acknowledged our existence when we asked for the check. Of course the bill was incorrect and included extra items that we did not order. We left and went to the receptionist to get parking validation. Apparently the free parking is only 2 hours free, we were there for a little more than 2 hours. So, we paid the extra cost and left. That area of Renton is super cute. Unfortunately, we wont return because we can find similar offerings in the area with free parking and better service.

I've dined in and ordered takeout and I think their menu is just way too big and varied to do anything right and well. When I ordered takeout, I ordered the sirloin steak. It was overcooked and tough, and the potatoes were lumpy and undercooked. My dine in experience was better and I ordered the chicken fried fillet (NOT a steak to be clear, it's made with chicken) and while the portion of meat was small, it was fried well. The gravy was a little sad but it wasn't the worst I've had. Each time I've been in, the place looks empty, which doesn't feel like a good sign for them.
