This restaurant is located right next to SkyLand Ranch. A friend wanted to check it out, so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, my daughter mentioned that she had eaten there before with her grandparents and that no one in their group had enjoyed the food. The restaurant was uncomfortably cold inside. My daughter and I both ordered the pot roast with mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, the mashed potatoes were bland and lacked flavor, so neither of us ate them. The pot roast was also disappointing. Instead of being tender and falling apart like a traditional pot roast, the meat was quite fatty and not very tender. Overall, the food seemed to be lacking seasoning, and the vegetables were served completely plain. With some attention to flavor and preparation, the dining experience could be much better.

Solid food, good atmosphere, lots of seating. Good staff attention, not exceptional, but good. Certainly would not hesitate to come again, but so many options in this area, I would need more research Lots of associated businesses on the property as a tourist haven. Theme park, pottery shop (which has a mix of imports and a large amount of locally made goods), ice cream shop, etc. I had the pulled pork plate, which had a generous amount of meat, the wife had the chicken, which was about a quarter of a barbecue chicken, very tasty from my sampling

We came here for our anniversary brunch and had a really great experience. I checked in online while we were on the way, which helped a ton--we barely had to wait. Definitely worth seeing if you can get on the list ahead of time. I got the milk parlor omelette with egg whites and it was so good (and really pretty too). I had cheese grits and a biscuit on the side--everything was super tasty. My husband got the Sam Stinnetts breakfast with the chop steak and wow... it was a lot of food. We definitely had leftovers. We came here years ago when they first opened and hadn't been back in a while, but after this, we won't wait so long next time. Great food, great service, and we were in and out pretty quick.

Food was amazing and the pricing was even better! John was an amazing server! Recommendation for breakfast was on point! Love the "Yellowstone" like decor. And plenty of parking available! Oh restrooms were very clean with a changing table available

BRING. YOUR. APPETITE. Because Five Oaks served us up a Southern breakfast FEAST and I'm still dreaming about it. First- this cinnamon roll was bigger than my head and absolutely drenched in warm icing. I swear I could bathe in that stuff We shared the Farmhouse Bounty Breakfast (because it was HUGE), and it came with: Two eggs Stone-ground grits Ribbon-cut field potatoes A fluffy griddle cake with warm syrup Biscuit + sausage gravy and a meat lover's dream lineup: Pecan smoked bacon Sugar ham Local sausage But wait, there's more... I also got the Pit Master Casserole: Three eggs scrambled with spring onions, baked right on top of those golden potatoes, and topped with sweet, smoky pulled pork BBQ. It was everything. If comfort food is your love language, this is your spot. Southern portions, Southern flavors and Southern hospitality (our waiters and waitresses were all so sweet)

Great atmosphere, ample parking, and an intriguing menu - we're off to a great start! The good: coffee, griddle cakes, and hash browns The bad: the fried pork chop Biscuits are great! The gravy is decent, pretty, and forgettable. Condiments are varied and a good selection. Maple syrup is warm and...syrup-ey. The cinnamon rolls are large and delicious. It's like a large local much nicer version of, I hate to say this, Cracker Barrel. Yes it's touristy. Yes, it's loud. Service was instant and hospitable. Trendy in that Sevierville faux-country farmhouse way. I didn't hate it, but I'd skip the pork chop next time.

Five Oaks Farm Kitchen absolutely delivers on both presentation and flavor. These plates look like exactly what you want out of a true Southern breakfast--simple, hearty, and done right. The omelet is cooked perfectly with a clean fold and light seasoning, paired with that fluffy biscuit that looks soft on the inside with just the right golden top. The side of fruit and bacon adds a nice balance without overcomplicating things. The second plate really seals it--those crispy home fries have that ideal texture (golden edges with soft centers), and the eggs cooked over easy with that rich, runny yolk are spot on. That kind of execution shows consistency in the kitchen. Overall, this is the kind of breakfast that feels authentic, well-portioned, and satisfying without trying too hard. From what's on these plates alone, it's easy to justify a full 5-star rating.

Loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. The food was good as well. Highly recommend the cinnamon rolls! They're so good it's hard to get a picture before someone snags them!

This is our second time at Five Oaks Kitchen. We really enjoyed the griddle cakes and wanted to come back for more. The kids got pancake meals. I got chicken and dumplings and a side salad. Hubby got breakfast-the biscuit and gravy was a little bland. He loves the fluffy pancakes, though! Everything else was typical breakfast.

This place was worth the wait! We added our name to the waitlist online about 30min in advance which gave us time to get over there. It's a beautiful establishment that's in a barn setting. Very clean. The server was sweet and helped me make the right decision to not overstuff myself. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area.

This was a recommended spot for breakfast. I enjoyed the steak omelette, the service was very attentive, warm family atmosphere next time in Sevierville I'll definitely return.

First time visiting Tennessee, and I had heard a lot about this breakfast spot, so my family and I decided to give it a try. I'd heard great things about the cinnamon rolls, but unfortunately, it was a bit tough for my liking and way too sweet for me. It was just okay overall. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles and really loved the fried chicken. He felt the waffle was a little soggy, but the potatoes were very good. He also thought the turkey sausage was slightly salty. My mother ordered the omelet with a side of biscuit and eggs, and she really enjoyed her meal with no complaints at all. I ordered the farm tenant favorite. My scrambled eggs with cheese were good at first, but I unfortunately bit into several pieces of eggshell, which made me stop eating them. The bacon was good -- nice and crispy just how I asked. The pancake was phenomenal, and I absolutely loved the biscuit and gravy. I'm still thinking about how good that was! The service was good, especially considering how busy it was. Our server did the best she could, and the inside of the restaurant is very beautiful. I loved the cozy, Christmas-like feel of the decor. I would come back again because there were definitely some great highlights, and I feel like we just came on a very busy day -- so I'd be willing to give it another try.

I had been here once before and the food was so good I had to come back. By the time I got to my hotel, I was running late for my reservation and got a call from The Appalachian checking if I was going to make my reservation. I let them know that I had just arrived at my hotel, traffic on I-81 held me up and I was going to order an Uber as soon as I was off the phone. Coming from DC, I expected an Uber would be at the hotel door steps within a few minutes, I was wrong. I was then crushed by the realization that I was wrong, I wasn't gonna make my reservation. I knew that on a week night The Appalachian's kitchen closed at 9. Ride.I called them back to let them know of the situation and expressed my desire to have their Wood Fired Lamb. The Gentleman that answered the phone simply responded "it's going on the grill now, we will see you when you get here. F-ing amazing, turned my stressful and painful day completely around. Uber'ed over, walked into an empty restaurant on a weekday where I would guess dinner customers might have been light and they held the staff for little old me. I had the Hanger Steak as my entree, and it was delicious. I especially loved the potato dumplings! My friend had the Kansas City Strip, cooked medium rare, with broccolini. Downtown Sevierville has really evolved, and we enjoyed walking around and exploring after dinner.

Never have I really ventured outside of that and I couldn't actually tell you why. When my kids and I made a quick 1 day Dollywood trip over to Pigeon Forge, 23 we're looking for a place to eat prior to the big day at the park. What's funny is I relied in Googles AI (Gemini) to tell me where to go. I was driving around and was asking for recommendations. It said Mama's Farmhouse was a popular place to eat for families and it was all-you-can-eat. The kids wanted fried chicken and Salisbury steak, which was in the menu for that day. What a coincidence! If I could summarize it, this is basically a local Cracker Barrel-style restaurant but the food is a lot better. It's tucked away off of a side road off of the main highway 321 road and reminds me a lot of the Applebarn Restaurant down the road. The ambiance is this old timey feel, like many of the establishments around the area. The fried chicken (bone-in), chicken tenders, fries catfish, and Salisbury steak was what we ordered for our mains. Everything was delicious! The seasoning had the perfect amount of salt across all the dishes and sides. The chicken was juicy and tender. The Salisbury steak was solid, some of the best I've ever had. Savory, rich brown gravy, and tender chunks of beef. All the sides were amazing too, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, and chicken and dumplings. Honestly there wasn't a negative thing about this place. I would go back in a heartbeat!!

The online menu gave plenty of eye candy and we were absolutely starving by the time we arrived Friday evening. The staff was very attentive and kind. It's clear that this place is fully operated by word-of-mouth and return guests. It's a huge establishment with several rooms by big fireplaces and Lazy Susan's to pass around the family style meal. The menu was a little difficult to navigate so many options laid out, but only certain options available per day. So ultimately, we were not able to order exactly what we wanted, but we ordered what was available for Friday, which was the Salisbury steak, fried fish, and fried chicken. All of these meats came in a small portion to split amongst our three people, and with unlimited sides. Some of the sides were pretty impressive. I would have to say my favorite side was the broccoli casserole, followed by the mashed potatoes and gravy, which were real potatoes! The mac & cheese was more on the creamy side versus the gooey cheesy side. Unfortunately, some of our chicken was undercooked, and the skin was very thin and not too crispy. The fish was decent, not dried out whatsoever, which is a pretty good compliment. While my coworker said that the chicken and dumplings were her favorite, I failed to enjoy them :( All in all, this was not our favorite restaurant from our trip this weekend and it appears that big groups and big families really do enjoy dining at this establishment.

I wish it was better but felt I needed to write this review because most of the other reviews are extremely misleading. I've had some amazing BBQ in several different states and this place was a total disappointment. Brisket was wet and mushy with an almost taco seasoning flavor. It did not come sliced. It had no crust or char on the outside. It came almost with the same consistency as a wet and greasy pulled pork. It had no Smokey Flavor and it did not have any BBQ flavor, at all. Mac N Cheese was flavorless and I would venture to say it came out of a can. The noodles were extremely mushy. There was no "pull" to the cheese, indicating real cheese wasn't used to make it. It had no flavor; not even salt. Baked beans were the best part of the meal and they were just okay. They truly reminded me of a canned baked bean. I wound up throwing my entire meal in the trash. I did not want to waste the calories/ fat/ carbs (macros) eating it. Would not recommend the 3 items i purchased, at all. This was by far, the absolute worst Brisket and worst Mac N Cheese I've ever had.

Or none. But we've definitely had much worse. It was pretty quiet when we started our meal but it became pretty busy. Parents really need to be mindful that they aren't the only ones present in a bustling restaurant and remove the screaming child making it miserable for the other guests. Twenty minutes of that was too much. Uncalled for. That comes from a parent (me). But I digress. The food was probably the best we've had since coming here. The pot roast and fish were excellent as were the potatoes, creamed corn, broccoli cheese casserole and okra (tons of seasoning which was amazing). Yes. I know it is not traditional southern okra but it's still pretty darned good. Why the four stars? One: they do not bring enough food. Before the server left the table after bringing our food, we had to ask for more potatoes and pot roast. Not enough to go around and we were taking small helpings. Then one has to wait for more. I came in with high expectations. The restaurant has strong reviews, it's part of the Johnson Family of restaurants, and I've enjoyed several of their other establishments over the years. So I walked in expecting a meal that would have me planning a return visit before I even paid the check. What I got instead was one of the strangest cases of missing seasoning I've encountered in quite some time. Let's start with the positives. The people here are genuinely nice. Friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and seemed to care about providing a good experience. The restaurant itself is clean, comfortable, and inviting. And the kitchen clearly knows how to cook food. The fried chicken was cooked beautifully. Crispy on the outside. Juicy on the inside. Exactly the texture you're hoping for when you order Southern fried chicken. The problem? The seasoning apparently called in sick. This chicken had all the flavor intensity of a weather report. No noticeable salt. No spice. No personality. It tasted like the chef had just completed community service at a nursing home and was legally prohibited from possessing a salt shaker. My piece of chicken was juicy and cooked properly. Unfortunately, my wife's chicken breast was noticeably dry, which didn't help matters. Then came the fried pickles. No seasoning. Chicken and dumplings. No seasoning. Coleslaw. Tasteless. At one point I started wondering if there had been some sort of building-wide seasoning shortage that nobody had told us about. The frustrating part is that none of the food was poorly cooked. Quite the opposite. The techniques were there. The textures were there. The execution was there. It just felt like someone got everything ready and forgot the final, critical step of making the food taste like something. This is a restaurant with good people, a pleasant atmosphere, and a kitchen that clearly knows how to cook. Now they just need to introduce their food to salt, pepper, and a few of their seasoning friends. Three stars. Because the potential is absolutely there. The flavor just never showed up for work.
