This place is amazing!!!! We went for dinner and came back for breakfast the next day! Everything was delicious. The portion size is unbelievable. Definitely large enough for 2 adults to share. I got the fried chicken livers. It came with 2 sides (friend green tomatoes and mac & cheese) and a au jus. Surprisingly the au jus was a perfect dipping sauce. It also came with a biscuit. I found the biscuit to be a tad dense. My son got the smokehouse sampler. Again, huge plate of food. Came with brisket, ribs, pulled pork and one side (Mac & cheese). He loved it all! I got their rendition of Eggs Benedict. Food was cold. Eggs were overcooked and cold! The biscuit was hard as a brick and instead of being able to cut it, it broke into pieces! We got there around 11:35 on Saturday and we're seated upstairs. Breakfast is served until 12 so we ordered breakfast. My husband and I split the Co-Op Casserole. We chose the grits as our side. It also came with a biscuit. It was plenty of food for both of us. The casserole was DELICIOUS! The menu listed Swiss as the cheese but we switched it for Cheddar. The zucchini in the casserole is a game changer. It was cooked perfectly in the casserole and added a nice taste to it. We both really loved it. The grits were also delicious. It has been 6 years since we visited the area and one thing I remembered and wanted to revisit was this restaurant. Sadly, it was disappointing. We appreciated the start with the complimentary vegetable soup as we ordered. The open face pot roast was served quickly. In fact it got there before our salads! The side salad was actually wonderful. The pot roast was the problem. It was served quickly but was not hot. One of my 3 chunks of pot roast was inedible. There was no meat just fat. The wait staff came back when we finished and I showed her. She asked if I wanted to see a manager. I declined expecting that she might tell the manager anyway but that was not the case. It is a beautiful restaurant. The woman's restroom was awful. It clearly had not be cleaned all day. Trash was overflowing and the stalls were not clean. Their breakfast is fantastic and incredible for the price. Both times I've gotten the Campbell Maples, which includes grits, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, country fried steak, and the best part, a pancake.
