Great car wash for only $5!!! I haven't clean my car for nearly a year but after the basic car wash, it's super clean. It's pretty quick, only like 5 or 7 minutes for the car wash. I usually get the Basic since I get carwashes frequently it does the job to get the car clean and I like the low price they are. They offer free vacuums which is nice with a five minute limit and they give you a wet towel it to wipe down the inside of your car. Overall the machine wash is pretty efficient and the car wash itself takes less than a minute so it's easy to just get in and get out. The other car wash options are a bit pricey for what they offer and in my opinion and that's why I ended up giving them only four stars instead of five stars. read more

I would never recommend this car wash to anyone. I always have to come home and clean the areas they miss. My visit 3/14/19 will be my last. The car was not clean. The employees cleaning the car were yelling at each other. They damaged the roof of my car. When I showed the manager Kevin he promIsed to review the video of the car in the tunnel. Having driven from Minnesota on vacation, I picked up what you might call a wildlife collection on the front of my car. Including the remains of a bird. The staff gave special attention to the mess. This place is ok. You shouldn't expect much for what you're paying, I mean it's a $5-$10 car wash, but it is what it is. If you have some heavy grime on your car that has been sitting on there for a bit, don't expect this car wash to remove any of that grit. Make sure to bring your own dry rag to clean your car after the wash because not all dirt will be removed. On the plus side, they do have free vacuums, which is nice and they do their jobs correctly. Its a quick solution to getting your car from dirty to not so dirty, and the price is pretty low. Give it a shot, if your car isn't so dirty, haha. read more

My second visit to 5-Star Express Car Wash was much improved. I again visited using a free wash coupon provided by Toyota of Santee. This time while presenting my coupon I asked the attendant if vacuuming was included with the wash. The attendant confirmed that vacuuming was included. So after driving through the car wash I diverted to the vacuum machines. This actually impressed me! There were numerous vacuum with long tubes. Pulling into a stall provided vacuum tubes on both sides of the car. This made things easy-peasy and prevented the usual inconvenience of having to pull a vacuum all the way through the car. 5-Star Express Car Wash is A-OK! read more

Please read all of the reviews before you go. Over and over again this car wash machinery is damaging cars and the management says they are not responsible. As I was going through the car wash the stem of my tire was ripped off and I was stranded with a flat tire. They said they would pay for the stem $14 but not my tire or sensor and to take him to small claims court or call their corporate office. Problem is they have no corporate office. Cost me a new tire, stem and sensor at $350. I did some research and found out that this happens a lot at these types of car washes where the client drives through and it has a track with rollers that pushes the car through. I will never go through one of those again and I hope telling you will keep it from happening to you. Just google flat tire car wash to see how much this happens to people. read more

Decent car wash and very powerful air dry but no one helps wipe down your vehicle afterwards and towels aren't provided either. Powerful vacuum, almost need hearing protection. Worst customer service EVER! Being a brand new car wash, I was expecting great things. When paying for the wash, Amanda who was working said it would be best to remove the antenna before going through the wash. She went to remove it and snapped the antenna off. She gave me a blank stare and said "um, it just broke off." No, "I'm sorry" or anything. I didn't make a big deal because mistakes happen. After her not saying anything else, I asked who was going to replace it. She said it would have to come out of her pocket and would pick one up Friday once she got paid. Doesn't even offer to take care of the wash. I come back to have the antenna replaced and it wouldn't fit. Come to find out my car must have the manufactures antenna only. I spoke with Mike, the guy working and he promised he would take care of me. He said he knew someone at the dealership and would check on the price and get back to me. I gave him my name and number and he promised to call me on Monday. A week goes by and I never heard anything. I called and spoke with Amanda (the one who broke it) and she said she was sorry, but they aren't going to be able to do anything for me. No reason why, just clueless. Like mike was to chicken to call himself and had her doing his dirty work, I stated that wasn't what was promised and she didn't seem to care. She had an attitude and wasn't remorseful at all for breaking the antenna in the first place. I told her i wasn't satisfied and they need to take care of it. At least do something. Cover half maybe??? I asked her to have Mike call me. he never did. I called back and she said the owen is the only one who could do something about it. I asked for the owners number, which she wouldn't give. So, I asked her to give the owner my number and call me. She said she would. Guess what?? Never heard from anyone at the car wash again. I've never seen anything like this! NOT TO MENTION.. THE CAR WASH DOES NOT CLEAN AS GOOD AS IT SHOULD BEING A BRAND NEW WASH! I've been going here for awhile, but after today I will not go back. First, the two cashiers were so rude they couldn't even stop their conversation, about where they were going that night, to properly attend to the customers. Second, I parked my car to vacuum it and dry it off and I was there for 2 minutes and this employee comes over and tells me there is a 5 minute limit to be there. On 9/18 I was at the five star express car wash on 10055 Mission Gorge Rd. My Ford F-150 was damaged. The next day I went into see the store manager and he was dismissive and didn't even want to see the damage to my vehicle. I wanted to fill out an incident report and he said he was too busy. When I suggested that he would be making me escalate he said go ahead and I'll call the police. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I emailed and called the corporate branch and spoke to Victor who wouldn't give me his last name. He re assured me that I shouldn't have been treated that way and he would follow up. I was also told to send in pictures of the damage to my vehicle via email in the site. I was unable to send the pictures in via their site. I called to follow up with Victor and he was unavailable and the person on the phone was extremely rude and short with me. I told her the problem of not being able to attach photos to the email and she blamed it on my computer. I also tried it on my phone and from two different email platforms. This is a "Semi-do-it-yourself" car wash. You stay in the car while it goes through the wash. Then you park and vacuum and dry it yourself. As some one else said, you get what you pay for. It is usually a very fast process from the time you get in line until you are finished. Granted, there might be times when the line is long, but I haven't had that problem. Yes, if your car is really dirty, go to a full service wash, and pay more. I have been to some full service washes where the car doesn't come out any cleaner than this place. read more

Best $10.00 full car wash ever! I mean yes they have cheaper washes but for ten bucks you can't beat it! They also don't charge for the vacuum's that are awesome high pressure vacs. They also give you a wet cloth for your dash too. Only flaw is that there ONLY open till 7 pm. But thats is a minute flaw compared to the quality of the location and the service given. This place is awesome! I loved that they had a person there to great you before you even enter the car wash itself, very friendly and helpful. The car wash it self cleaned my van great and it included free vacuuming and a wipe to wipe down your dash. All for $10 (that was the premium package). I love this car wash and come on a weekly basis. The staff are all very friendly and nice. I went through today though and was really sad when I saw a sign that said they would be open on Christmas Day. To the owner of this company; your staff deserves to be at home with family, that is what the holidays are about. Please rethink your decision to keep the car wash open on Christmas day. We live down the street and we just love that we can wash our car when ever is super dirty. Its fast , convenient and $5 (basic) also there are vacumms abvailable so you can vacumm your car. It is not a car detail place where people are going to wash your car for you so I would hope people grade it for what it is. Most expensive wash is $10 and comes with a wet cloth for you to wipe down your dash. You vacuum yourself but vacuums are free of charge and work great. For the price, quick time, and convenience...
