I'm soooo happy I found this moving company because they did a phenomenal job! My last move we hired Red Carpet movers (which they did a good job) but 5 star movers Literally rolled out the red carpet with this move and to be honest- i think they did a better job than the previous moving company. 3 workers showed up to the job a little earlier than planned which i totally appreciated. We are so happy with this company. Not only did they come on time, they came 15 minutes early to meet us and see where to start. Our guys were Ben, Winston, and Delvon. They started right away. They did a great job wrapping our furniture and then unwrapped it in the new house. They assembled our furniture back together and they really listened to what we needed. I'm really happy with how carful they were with everything they did. You do have to rent your own moving truck, which is not a bad deal because you are paying less per hour with Five Star then most companies out there. They really did best job. Worst job of packing ever! After two months of being in storage we're finally moving in and unpacking only to find they didn't protect a lot of items properly and they got broken. They broke a special angel my Mom had given me. It was a cement outdoor figurine smashed into a box with no packing to protect it. I'm heartbroken as it can't be replaced. They were FANTASTIC at loading and unloading our items into our storage units. They were careful and did well, But the packers were HORRIBLE. read more

This is the only company I will ever use! The first time I used them the guys showed up expecting a 3 bedroom 2 bath home. SURPRISE! 5 bedrooms 4 bathrooms loft formal dining 3100sqf. They worked hard and had the job done in 4.5 hrs. Same crew moved my items from the storage facility to Boulder City. 3.5 hrs and even set up one of the bedrooms. They recalled what furniture went where and everything. I cannot praise this company and it's employees enough. I had an extra bed and offered it to one of the guys. Company policy does not allow "gifts" and he would not take it. That's speaks volumes about the integrity of the employees. I wish I knew the names of the crew that did my move. They became the "Boss", "CrossFit" and "I need a break!" Seriously you cannot get a better price and they treat your things as if it was theirs. read more

I don't even know where to begin! I met with owners Craig and Amy 6-7months ago to get a bid along with a few other companies for a almost 7,000 sq ft large home move. I immediately knew once I met with them and did a walk through that they blew every other moving company out of the water with their professionalism, pricing, and prompt responses. We had to schedule and reschedule the move a couple times due to remodeling and delays, but Craig and Amy were always very accommodating and helpful. Not only did our bid come with supplies, trucks, and a crew (which saved me so much time & stress from having to go buy packing supplies, and rent a Uhaul like other companies required) When the packing day came and I met with their crew, I couldn't believe how professional, prompt, hardworking, helpful, kind, and trustworthy their crew was. We ended up pulling some very long, stressful days but their crew never complained or stopped working at their top potential! We ended up having them pack, move, and unpack and I seriously don't know what I would have done without such an amazing crew of guys. Not only did we have a 6 man crew, but Amy (owner) also came and spent 15hrs one day helping me do tedious things, and working right along side me and all the guys. I couldn't thank her enough! EVERY single one of their guys who came and helped were absolutely top notch, but there were a few who just went over and beyond and truly made this very large move, doable! Brandon, Nathan, and Gabriel were positive, hardworking, organized, efficient, kind, trustworthy, and ultimately just great guys to be around in such a stressful setting. We had a wonderful experience with Five Star Moving. From the initial walk-through to them putting the last box in our new house it was easy. We moved an entire 1800 sq ft house across town. This was my second time using the company , my first time was perfect ! So decided on calling them again . Second move was bad since it started . They sent 3 men really only 2 were working and moving around . One of the guys kept talking and trying to socialize . I'm sorry but we're moving and paying by the hour we just want things done ! So yes they took longer than expected because they were not moving as fast as the first time I could say the first time I used the company it was a set of three different guys . Ok problem number two they broke my painting completely it was all glass and it shattered . So they told to me to call company to file a claim which I did and still a year later no response from them , called several times . They were also somewhat unapologetic. When we drove our car to the new place which is literally 5 mins away from the other place it took them about 15 mins more than us to arrive . Idk how that's possible it's literally down the like .5 miles . So I called them to find out , and they said oh we are on our way . Ok well we drove off at the same time ! Lastly , like I said they moved so slow they went over 4 hours to move my place . I promise I don't have a lot of things ! Literally a normal 2 bedroom unit . With only two beds that had to be taken apart and put back together . They knew they did something wrong because they said they were not charging me for the extra hour ! A New Record and Perspective: 1. Setup: Craig gave details & promptly followed through with emails. Jordan easily rescheduled when I called back later 2. Experience: Zach (the lead) was business-like & attentive. Wish I had 3 of him. When they arrived I showed them 2 items which needed special attention - a very heavy dresser (part of bedroom set) and a cedar chest. Given the 4 inch pedestal legs of the dresser it cannot sustain the entire weight of the dresser when tipping off a dolly (experienced movers accommodate the load when setting it down). Background PAUSE: 15 years ago (previously my worst move) one leg had been damaged (I had 1 mover who was excellent, 1 careless - the responsible mover and myself were both frustrated with him - yet on moving day we all know you just have to PRESS ON and get the job done. Note: that company responded promptly to my message about the damage and it was PROFESSIONALLY REPAIRED the NEXT DAY. This is why I tell movers so it does NOT HAPPEN again. 3.New Record: Most DAMAGED items from a single move: -Drawer from Mission style media cabinet slid out & dropped on on the ground breaking off handle. (Yeah, this is the same worker who carelessly let a tall stack of plastic tubs tip over on the last trip, letting me pick it up and finding the broken bin.) Set of 3 textured boxes, with 1 now missing a lid?? Missing metal shelf support (??) tip over in the truck and hide damaged items??? -FINALLY: Despite caution regarding the dresser, it was the very last item they moved and unloaded. Zach set it on the sliders (which is what I have used to move it around myself for the last 15 years). They immediately left as I set up my bed. When I went to push the dresser into the bedroom one leg separated from the unit and the I bottom support was loose. Then I noticed the screw end sticking out with the missing wooden knob. No wonder they left so fast - the 2 guys who moved it KNEW they DAMAGED it. Did Zach know? I'd like to five him the benefit of the doubt. 4. Finances: 5 Star gives you 3 movers, 3 hr minimum, $120 hr, you get/drive your own truck. I got a 15 ft truck (we moved less than 2 miles) it took 3 trips, 3 1/2 hours. $420 + my truck expenses. 1 year ago I moved with different company: 3 movers, took 3 1/2 hours (greater distance) 1 load, and THEY got the 27 ft truck and drove it. $405 total Only damage was 1 rolling coaster on sewing cabinet which had to reattach. 5. SUMMARY: I called as soon as I noticed the damaged dresser and left a detailed message on voicemail. No response. They want your $$$$ but are not professional or responsible. Do your Homework, Gentle Readers. I now have a new appreciation for the professionalism of the former company who uses their own truck and stands by the service they provide, accepting responsibility with fairness and honesty. I expect my belongings to arrive in the same condition as before the movers arrived. Expectation NOT met. 6. MISCELLANY: My Dress mannequin was sexually assaulted by same worker who dropped the media cabinet drawer. What was going on with the "bathroom break" starting as soon as they arrived (was his judgment impaired??) My large stability ball was dribbled like a basketball hard on the ground (wear did I pack that hand pump??). Ugh, I needed 3 careful Zachs. read more

Although I hired Triple 7 movers, who were awful and I would stay far far away from them. The actual semi from five star movers came with the semi. They were awesome. I cannot even begin to tell you how much money they saved me by being great truck drivers careful A pleasure to have working for you, they are the only reason I didn't jump on a plane to Mexico after Triple 7 movers screwed me with money. And when the semi did run into a problem at my delivery house and called Triple 7 -their suggestion was to get another smaller truck and charge me up the bum. But the driver was not comfortable with that and he did what he had to do and it didn't cost me an extra penny. So sorry I didn't deal directly with them.KUDOS TO MY DRIVER!
