Before I begin my review, let me qualify that my appraisal for my home came in at the selling price with no lender required repairs. If you need a property inspection do not use this company. I am a seller, I didn't even have to pay for the inspection and I am appalled that someone with this kind of business acumen is able to stay in business for as long as he has. Broken down simply, here is my experience: First inspection was cancelled The rescheduled inspection date was not communicated to my agent The inspector showed up at my front door, followed shortly by the buyer's agent and they both insisted that I allow the inspection to begin without my agent (which I did not). When the inspector left, lights were on, insulation had been tracked all over the house, the water in my upstairs guest bathroom was left running in the bathtub (actually on, not dripping), I was unable to open my oven drawer, the pull string to open my blinds in one room which was perfectly functional before the inspection had been broken and thrown on the floor, my belongings in my garage had been displaced to access things that were not structural, and my husbands tool box had drawers that were left wide open. I'm not in real estate, but I'm relatively sure there is no need to inspect my husband's tool box to sell the house. The bottom line is, this is still my residence - in this line of work, an inspector is working in someone's HOME, not a public dump meant to be trampled and disregarded. I felt that personal space beyond what is outlined in a normal inspection was violated and I have spent days cleaning up his messes. read more

Brad inspected two homes for us during our house search. We found him to be thorough, professional, and personable. If you don't have a lot of experience buying houses, it can be difficult to tell which people in the process are actually on your side. With Brad it was blatantly obvious he was "in our corner." In addition to inspecting everything in great detail, he took the time to explain things in a way we could understand them. He also was happy to answer our outstanding questions much later, well after the inspection. We have been in the house for a while now and we haven't found any unexpected issues that were not referenced in the inspection report. Brad Tucholski , home inspector, was hired through Carol Goode, a realtor in Corona, California. He inspected our home in Murrieta, on November 1, 2017. Brad had found many things wrong that were strictly bogus. He claimed that the home had to have the insulation redone because it was not up to code (R30 & R19) We produced a signed certificate from the insulation contractor that verified that the insulation was indeed R30 & R19, Brad had said that there were air leaks in the HVAC plenum. We had a HVAC team repair the leaks. During a re-inspection Brad had opened up the leaks and we had to have the HVAC people back. The roofers (2) had replaced some broken tiles. They said that whoever was on that roof (Brad) did not know how to walk on tiled roofs. Brad's most absurd observation was that the microwave was too close to the cook top. He said that the cabinets needed to be raised an additional two inches. Our realtor had researched this and found it to be bogus. Brad claimed that the AC unit needed replacing because of the noise and the condition of the aluminum fins on the condenser. The HVAC team we hired disagreed and said that the sound level was normal and the fins were not a problem. Brad noted that our water heater was not strapped for earthquake protection. Totally wrong, we sent him pictures of the straps attached to the wall as per code. Even so he made our agent's husband install wood blocking for a one inch gap behind water heater in garage. Brad noted that a pull down ladder in the garage needed nails in the brackets. This was already done by me days before with the original screws still stable for 19 years with no problems. This second inspection was scheduled for the day before closing with the buyers becoming nervous. The majority of Brad's discrepancies found during the inspection were not valid and our buyers were ready to back out. Brad also exhibited inappropriate behavior toward my wife and myself. He never stopped talking about his personal life, pending divorce, numerous girlfriends, etc. I would not hire this person or deal with Carol Goode, who had dragged her feet during the whole process. read more

Brad was hired to inspect our home just over one year ago. He was in our home for over five hours. He never stopped talking and seemed to have an opinion on everything. He tracked stuff onto my carpet and left hand/fingerprints on our attic entry. He completely missed things that should have been included in his report while writing up other items that were irrelevant. He commented on our carpet (which obviously needed to be replaced) and minor marks on the walls where the paint was scuffed. My husband is an electrician and a perfectionist. Brad wrote him up on the sub panel, stating it wasn't to code. The City of Corona said, "Wow! You have completely gone above and beyond. Most people don't want to spend the money on this". This tells me that Brad is somewhat clueless. I found Brad to be overbearing and arrogant. Both the listing agent and buying agent were irritated and said they would not use him in the future. read more
