I went into this inspection ready to panic at the disco, yet somehow Francisco from Strong Tower kept things calm, clear, and surprisingly stress-free. We needed to schedule this inspection quickly, and he accommodated our very tight schedule. He arrived on time and started with a quick look around the exterior before beginning the inspection. It was a lengthy process. They checked everything out and didn't seem bothered at all by the fact that I asked one million questions throughout the inspection process. The team helped us understand what was going on every step of the way. At the end they walked us through what to be on the look-out in the inspection report. Francisco did our home inspection and I wished we could say we had a better experience with him. I usually give my business to the newer/ smaller guys because I feel better in supporting a company that needs it more than a big guys. Unfortunately, this is one of those times that really bit me. We scheduled the inspection with Francisco for 8AM and he had us come at 10:30 AM. I was already slightly concerned that his inspection was only 2.5 hours even if he was telling us to come towards the end. Our home is over 2500 sq ft so that seemed a little fast. Lo and behold, when we arrived we found out it was cut short because he had another inspection to do in LA, and the commute alone would've taken him 1.5 hours. I would assume he also needed to stop for lunch as well. OK, no big deal we hoped. We did a quick walk through and he said he'll send us the report of what he found. It was 80+ pages long but mainly fluff. When it came time to move in, we immediately noticed something he missed that was unfortunately not on the report. There was a leak in the primary bedroom's toilet and due to this, the floor boards were also damaged. On his report he stated that the bathroom was in "good condition" and that he "flushed all the toilets." There was no way that he flushed this toilet and did not noticed the buckling and discoloration of the floor. OK, no problem I thought right? This is what the warranty he sold me on was for? Getting through to his warranty (RWS/ Inspector Services Group) is even a bigger joke. They denied my claim and are making it increasingly difficult to get reimbursed. I feel like both ends are just giving me the runaround. I have emailed, called a couple times and left a voicemail but Strong Tower has yet to respond. So now I'm out $700+ for this poor inspection job plus an additional $2500 needed to fix the flooring and toilet, money I could've used to leverage with the seller throughout escrow, but didn't because Francisco missed such a big step on the inspection. My recommendation would be to go with someone that only does one inspection a day, even if they charge a little more or a more reputable company. read more

I called a couple of other home inspection companies and found their price was very reasonable and even ordered a sewer line inspection report for the 4 unit apartment. The inspector was very thorough , knowledgeable, and provided a very detailed report with fast turn around.
