5 Star is a SCAM! The business does not fulfill orders, it seems to be a scam credit card system. I placed an order and within hours I got a fraudulent charge on my card for over $100 at a pizza place in Florida, same place as 5 Star. Rumor has it someone in the business died. Terrible company, inside and out. I ordered a transmission kit from them and I got a box and a bag of junk. After reading some reviews and seeing people are saying that they had their lives threatened and treats of legal action against them, I knew I was already in trouble. As a disabled combat vet, save yourself the terrible thing I went through, they are not worth the time. The pictures prove it. On the left is 5 star's box and other parts shipping bag. Made a valve body purchase in Sept 2022. Site listed a 3 year warranty. The valve body went out 10 months after purchase. Tried to call, email, text the company and no response. They appear to be out of business. read more

They don't answer the phone as being 5 star transmission which is strange right off the bat. They list phone numbers that are not functioning, the only number that works is a CEL ph#. I ordered a 545RFE trans OH kit. They only showed that my order was being processed. After 4 business days I called the only functioning number out of 3 ( CEL # ). She did not give a name only a hello no "5 star transmission" that you would expect from a legitimate business. Strange! When I asked why my parts hadn't shipped yet, she said they were having problems getting parts from the supplier yet after a few questions she said they could send it out today. Strange! This is the last place I used my credit card to which I started getting fraud alerts from my bank. Strange! I had to call my bank and cancel the card I used to order these parts. read more

Purchased 16 parts that their site showed they had in stock (it listed the inventory quantities), the order never left the processing status, but like several other reviews here and various other places say, my credit card started getting fraudulent charges, including a Walgreens local to the address. Bad reviews for Scott Yaslow and Tranzparts go back to at least 2008, but it appears he passed away in 2020. His son Paul Yaslow is listed as a contact on the site, but it appears he passed away in 2019. Five Star Transmissions, Inc. was dissolved by the FL Secretary of State in 1991; then it went to Tranzparts, Inc. from 94-96, dissolved and reopened in 02-09, then dissolved again; his ex-wife (not widow, ex) then opened and dissolved C N S Transmission Parts, Inc in 20-21; and started CNS Transmission Parts LLC in '23, which is still active and Google transfers you to their scam site. Also, creating fake profiles to leave good reviews for their companies has been going on since 2008 internet forums that admins called them out on; so don't believe any good reviews. read more

They do a lot of business in so I would say there reviews aren't ..in line with a true reality. They honored my order and were nice. There not a scam at all. We are usually at fault as non experts. You need to email them with special instructions .. and that falls on myself not them. Expert transmission guys understand in detail we novice transmission guys are clueless .. Thanks Guys at 5 star we need them but also need to be nice to them. They are providing a service that's very limited and can cost much more with other providers .. The parts are the same .. and they keep the costs down .. And they have things as they are growing others don't offer. Allan does not contact people back his line is always busy. He sent the wrong parts and won't return them. He threatened me with physical harm so descriptive that I think he actually is nuts. Allan needs to get professional help with his attitude and mental wellness. His operation is much of a Mickey Mouse cartoon. I hope he changes his ways or he will loose all 127 employees he claims to have doing transmissions. Funny all those people can't send out a filter correctly. read more

You really get what you pay for. I always believe in giving a business the benefit of the doubt......but. This business came up as the lowest price around online. I placed my and it took several days in order for them to ship my order. Maybe a day pr two to drop off my order at the shipping company max. After those several days we emailed them with no success because it came up as a not valid email address. I called several numbers and left several messages to inquire what was talking so long to ship my order. I left several voicemail messages. No response. I then looked up the reviews on this company and found out they have almost nothing but poor reviews. The BBB has this business as a poor company to do business with. I thought I would never see my parts or my money again. To say I was worried was an understatement. After all my attempts I finally received an update from the shipping company stating my order was on the way. I was relieved till I received my order, inspected my parts and and found a part had broken pieces on it. I wasn't going to attempt to return it or ask for a refund because of how I couldn't get in contact with them anyways. Please do a little bit of research of the website or products you wish to purchase. Explore the reviews. Do NOT jump to quick to purchase just because the price is so low. I will NOT be using this company again for my transmission parts and would suggest you pay the extra money elsewhere unless you want a large delay in shipping, you can not communicate with anyone at the company, and you might receive damaged parts. read more

Absolutely the worst experience ever purchasing online/by phone. I would give them zero stars if I could! Sent my valve body then took another month to send the gasket and harness. 3 separate times I called and was given their word that I would have my parts in a couple business days and nothing would arrive. They didn't actually ship the remaining necessary part until I was ready to dispute the charge and I asked for a return label to ship everything back I had received and would just buy from a different business. I was beyond nice and understanding due to Covid delays but its really aggravating everytime I called this was the excuse and its like they had no record of ever talking to me that my order was missing parts. Over 1 month later they never offered to compensate me or even expedite the shipping even though it was their mistake multiple times. If you know you made a mistake and you own it, why would you not at least spring for ups expedited shipping? I had been beyond patient. I have zero belief that if there's a warranty issue with the part I purchased they they will take care of it. I would urge everyone to do business with a different company. This is a real review from a severely unsatisfied customer and I can provide and invoice if 5star wants to claim this didn't happen! read more
