Best Hefe in San Diego. 5 suits brewing was recently started by a multi award winning Homebrewer who has won homebrewer of the year in the National Homebrew Competition. Not an easy award to win by any means. I look forward to seeing them take on more awards at the professional level in the future. Okay stop what you're doing and get down to Five Suits for the hands down absolute best IPA and Hefeweizen you have ever or will ever have here in California, bar none. Planet Nectoran (IPA) And Pit Boss Heff and ridiculously good beers. The owners are awesome people who have poured their souls into this place and it sure shows in the quality of their products. I'm sort of an ingredient snob and hearing about their sourcing and water filtration systems end the thought that goes into every detail of their beers in superior to what everyone else is doing. We came here after hearing about it from work & WOW. I ordered a flight of 4 that was SO good, all the beers were great. The food that they have is different but in all the right ways! Super great, seasoned perfectly & the sauce that comes with it is SO good. A lil spicy for most but perfect for us. Overall the service & the whole look of the brewery is wonderful. This place is super cool! Friendly staff they let u try before u buy. The ambiance inside is neat not what u would imagine a brewery would have. I wish we weren't in covid I would totally hang out here. The register/check out area is a poker table, they have a giant chandelier, and once they are done with construction this place is going to be even more cool then what it already is! We got the hazy and hef. The Hef was super good too easy to go down and I can't wait to try my normal go to (Hazy). read more

Excellent family owned brewery in Vista. My husband and I been there several times and their outside seating setup is very cozy and safe. I am personally obsessed with their hefeweizen and unfiltered IPA. Delicious beers, great service, and a great line up of food options as well. We just had a private event at five suits brewing. It was the first time in years we have changed up our venue and what we did for our Christmas party. I can say, without a doubt in my mind, that everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Nick, Kandy and the other bartender were absolutely amazing. We had a taco truck as well as, Al Toque, the Peruvian food that's generally there, both were delicious! Nick made this whole process so easy. He lined up Royers Destroyers to play some live music and they killed it! Seriously such an awesome event and venue! we would Highly highly recommend!!!!! read more

What a cool place! Great vibe, fun decor, great beer and awesome live music! I had the Peruvian lager, my wife had their seltzers, all very good and they went great with the Peruvian food truck out front. The service was great and Kandy was very nice and helpful to us first timers. The music, by the Urban Gypsy's was fantastic. The voice and guitar playing by the lead singer was awesome! The acoustics at the place are just perfect making the sound wonderful. Oh, and plenty of room to dance if you feel like it! read more

Finally went to this place on Tuesday this week with my wife and son. Two things pulled me toward this place: German beer and Peruvian food truck. Beers did not disappoint. Hefeweizen was top while Festbier was a bit too sweet for my taste. Interesting decor and nice servers. But the other attraction, Peruvian truck? Food was ok. No issue. Bad price? Unbelievable high. $17 for a seafood/rice meal box, and similar for a fried chicken/rice box. I would just say this: nothing stops me from coming here to grab a beer or two and chat with enticing servers, but I will definitely bring my own food. read more

Wonderful beer! Had the festbier, hef, and tried three different ipas. All were fresh and delicious! The decor is fun and interesting and sets them apart from other breweries. Their hef is probably the best made in San Diego . There's a reason it's won so many awards. I highly recommend the coconut stout as well. As someone who isn't a huge fan of coconut, it's well balanced and not overwhelming. Decor is very cool, not your usual industrial feel. Highly recommend you try this new brewery out. read more

After losing one of my favorite breweries in Vista, I had concerns about what Nick and his team were going to do. Once I tasted their incredible beer and got to interact with them all of my concerns went out the window. Nick Corona is one of the most talented Brewers in San Diego right now and everyone needs to try his beer and hospitality. Having worked in hotels and breweries for the last decade I can tell you with 100% certainty that this is exactly the kind of place I'll be spending a lot of my free time. Worth checking out cause this place will hit the mark for a certain crowd. The flavored seltzer isn't made with fruit, it's syrup added when you order and maybe it was my bad that I ordered the Hefeweizen cause the thickness and sweetness was a bit overwhelming (I drink everything from Stouts to IPAs so not comparing to a seltzer). The vibe of the interior is a bit strange. More of a Vegas speakeasy? Not totally sure. The music wasn't my thing either - mostly 90's pop. I appreciate they're trying to be different from some of the other local breweries, but I wasn't feeling it. The Peruvian food was excellent as was the service. The location is convenient and the food might tempt us back after a bit, and maybe a spring beer list. Either way, support local -- just cause this spot isn't for me, doesn't mean it won't be perfect for you! read more

Wow! So glad to have found this little gem. Came by to order some Peruvian food at Al Toque and they share the space with Five Suits. We got to sample a few beers while we waited for our food and Oh My God! We walked out buying 3 growlers! The beers were delicious! The Hefeweizen was excellent, loved the Peruvian Lager, and got a fun Passionfruit Seltzer that was light and tasty. And the staff was so nice and friendly. Definitely plan on returning to continue supporting this small business during these COVID times and looking forward to experience their plans for the space when life turns around. We enjoyed chatting with the owner operators about their experiences managing and performing in Las Vegas while we had some tasty samples of beer and waited for our food from Al Toque. We took home Lomo Saltado, Arroz Chaufa, Ceviche, Alfahores, and Hefeweizen and Peruvian Lager growlers to wash it all down. I gotta say, so good. All of it. The beer was great, (we will definitely bring home more next time,) and the food tasted just like Mi Mami from Peru would make. had the pleasure of checking Five Suits out as part of a hop picking event for a charity IPA brew with Urban Surf 4 Kids. the tasting room isn't open yet, but they are open for to-go crowlers/growlers and have a nice outdoor area set up for drinking some brews while having food. the sneak peak i got of the tasting room decor was rad with the casino theme they have going. the beers are what you're here for though. top to bottom all the brews are fantastic. the Pit BOS Hefeweizen is by far the best commercial example of a hefeweizen i have ever had. i would go well out of my way to get this beer and that is a hard thing to find in a world full of IPAs and hazy IPAs (which Five Suits has, and they are both wonderful as well). everyone at Five Suits is extremely friendly so get out and support this new brewery! read more

Just opened for actual on-site consumption last week with an great Peruvian food truck serving up meals to stay in compliance. Parking lot has a large tent for shaded seating, plus some barrels around the walkway. A few beers on tap right now, but it seems a new one is being released weekly. Lots of choices available so far- hoppy beers, a stout, Vienna lager and the award winning homebrew-turned-professional weissbier. Aromas of straight up banana. Went here yesterday. Cool Vegas , theater style vibe. Super friendly staff. Whatever your style of beer is, you will no be disappointed. From crisp Lager, to a great Hef, top notch IPA's with an imperial stout for dessert. No music yesterday, but do have bands.
