Don, Roya and John were so easy to deal with... genuine, friendly people who extended absolutely ZERO pressure on me to do anything...the quality and outstanding condition of the car I bought was the thing that sold me on it....super!! Clean!! I had been looking for a pre-2013 Ford Escape with the Mazda 4 cylinder engine and acceptable miles on the odometer (78,881), with beautiful paint, great body and an exceptional interior... FJ Auto Sales had one that checked each box! I am very happy. Also, this car was a one-owner, with all the Carfax info including service records. It also had the two original keys and the original owners manual! The average annual miles was only about 5700....around 16 miles a day. Wow! I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others about my experience with FJ Auto Sales. I bought a car from Don, specifically asking for something reliable, and was assured this car was in great shape. Immediately, I found the tire was flat upon driving off the lot. A day later, the check engine light came on. I took it back twice, but they only reset the light rather than fixing the issues (cam sensor, brakes, transmission fluid). A, independent mechanic informed me that repairing the car would cost more than its value. Their '3-month warranty' is completely useless; they ignored my calls and texts when I asked them to make this right. Was sad to see so many rough reviews, as I was blessed with my dream car here. They made the process simple, explained every little thing to me, and were all very kind. I don't remember everyone's name, forgive me, as I waited 6 months before writing a review, as I wanted to be sure nothing went wrong: The tall white guy who went with me to test drive the car was sweet, comforting, and knowledgeable. He talked me through all of the specs, was patient and not PUSHY, and was honest. Same goes for the man who I believe owns the shop. I was very nervous and questioning when buying this car, as it was the first one I was buying on my own. He talked me through the financing, the contract, etc. even with 100 questions. As for the car, my miata is perfect. She runs like a dream. The engine is like new, everything was taken care of before I drove it off the lot, and they even connected me with one of the most honest mechanics that has been taking care of her since. It took me a few weeks to get a car here since I wanted independent financing. I called in all the time until it made more sense to put money down on the car. They made this super simple. I wish these things didn't take forever but the banks are the worst in general. I went to several nearby car dealers and just left annoyed. Things seem easier on the east coast to be honest. Don was kind during the buying process I will say. However I know Not I overpayed for the car which made it more disappointing finding out the transmission was crap on the vehicle I only put 800 miles on the car in the 4 months I had it before the transmission blew out. I reached out to see if there's anything they could do and pretty much told me I'm on my own because their warranty is only for 30days but they weren't nice about it at all. Currently between having to sell the car or sink thousands into repairing it Have the car triple checked if you're considering buying with them, but I don't think i would ever come back here. read more

Also then the O2 sensors went out and the rear main seal!!! Now it has a tranny leak. We have done all the work and taken to a professional to help walk us through and we have fixed it all no issues NOW! This response from dealer is pure crap. As if it was copy and pasted from another dealer sites auto response. Just laugh at this place. Will always tell people to never purchase from. New everything we have had to replace and or fix do not buy from!!! I will never recommend this place. Lost essentially over 10k buying a used car from this place not only because of the Vehicle price but the fact that all the repairs sign appearing after I bought it such as the fact that my O2 Sensor not working. Went to confront them and they became extremely rude and uncooperative. I only bought from this place because a relative bought a vehicle from here before so I didn't expected myself to get scammed like this. I am happy with the car, though the price I paid initially was more than I expected. They did compensate half of what I asked upon my return and I do believe they are hard-working people who are trying to make an honest living. The length of the March 2018 sales process was quick and easy - I came in on a Sunday and spoke with Joe. Monday morning, Elena ran my application. By Monday afternoon, I signed some papers with Don so I could drive home in my 2012 Honda Accord. My main complaint? The advertised "special price" is not as described on their website: "this is the special price of the vehicle. Price may change for financing based on credit history." Admittedly, on the day of the sale I signed without going over the contract myself, but I just assumed I was getting the lower, special price. I know I have excellent credit. In fact very little was about the contract was explained to me (merely, sign here and here...) But that's my fault for not knowing what I was signing. So I e-mailed them and eventually came back into the dealership a few weeks later to discuss what went wrong. Don began by explaining to me how financing works (yes, I am aware that the decision to fund or deny a loan depends on the credit-worthiness and the amount of risk a potential borrower poses if they agree to lend, etc.) We eventually discussed my application. I asked what my score was (previous example sales he showed me were from applicants with scores in the 600's and one with a 710 score). My score was 755. Yet for some reason I was charged the full, regular price. "Price may change for financing based on credit history." Well credit history is excellent... Don's attempt to explain why boils down to basically this: the system they use for sales - some dealership website all of his sales are logged - is charging them a not-so-small fee if a vehicle is financed (about 10% of the price). He went on to explain that when drawing up the paperwork, the special price is for CASH purchases and the regular price for financing. That's not what your website says, however. It did not make complete sense to me, but I believed him. I just wish their website clearly communicated that the low price advertised is for CASH buyers or for those who do not apply for financing through them. read more

Went to this dealer drove a bit to buy a car an everyone was very kind except the Ass#0!e DON. He s the owner. Over the phone he quoted me one price an then when I got there he changed the price by $2000! He is a very unhappy an rude demanding man. Unfortunately it shows in his business as it looks like it is struggling with salvaged parts on the vehicles an cheap work that is being done on the cars. So I recently bought a car cash 8500. There were some minor scratches that I was aware of which I get. After buying a prius I notice the leather on the passenger seat was coming up and the bumper was not on right and my two front signal light did not work. I only found out bc I got a ticket. I called DON the same day he said he would take care of it. I took my car in the next day and took care of my seat and lights but what made me so angry is that he tried glue my bumper together. Who in the hell conducts business this way. If he couldnt fix it he should have just left it alone. Now I'm paying to get this super glue removed and a whole new bumper. I bought a car almost four months ago from the scams at F&J Auto. After buying the vehicle that cost over $5000.00, I went back to them to return my money as my mechanic said the car was a lemon from the beginning. The owner convinced me that nothing was wrong with the car and he cannot do anything until the engine light comes on. He had his mechanic tell me the car was fine. They fixed car just so it would last for a few months. Well the scam knew the engine light would come on after the 30 days. Not even four months and now the car is a lemon. My $5000.00 down the drain. My hard working money gone with nothing to prove. But there is a God out there and I will hold my peace for the Lord to fight my battles.
