Fjord Fish Market filled the spot of a clock dealer that was in this spot, back in 2016. It brought something new to Larchmont. I'm sad to say that I've never gave them a try until 04/16/2026. They offer competitive prices on the sushi. One thing that kept me away, was me assuming that they'd be over priced. When I stepped into this fish market, I found that they have a lot to offer and the main reason I came was to get sushi. I didn't need to drive out of the way. This Is a casual setting but if the executives come in after work, no doubt, they will be dressed to the T. My dish Valcano roll- White sushi rice, seaweed, spicy salmon, avocado tataki, spicy mayo, crunch, and scallions off of $14.99 Crazy salmon roll - it has the same ingredients and the same price. This was really good but I would have preferred the little cup to mix the soy sauce, Ginger, and wasabi sauce. But for the most part it was really good. I definitely will be buying from here instead of driving out of the way to get sushi. And I'm getting much better at using the chop sticks. Yep, this place is open during Covid. They have very stringent social distancing, which is great. They only allow one party in at a time. Fjord--which is predominantly a seafood market--offers up some amazing seafood. They also have counter service take out featuring made-to-order poke bowls and fresh made seafood sandwiches! Try the lobster roll when it is in season. They have both cold and hot varieties. AND, the price is right! Their lobster rolls are only around 20 bucks. On my first visit, I saw a lot of folks in line to pick up catered food, so their catering must be popular to residents in the area. We took the pre-made rolls to go, and they didn't taste as good as the ones we had prepared in front of us. Either the rice had frozen in the fridge or it was a little undercooked. But the fish was fresh and tasty, we also took oysters, oysters tasty, but huge (to our liking). In general, I don't recommend to order much in advance, you can call them and make an order, so you don't have to wait there, and come and get it. And we should keep in mind that there were times when we drove up and they ran out of rice and couldn't make us rolls. Find out in advance so you don't waste your time. read more

Love this place for a number of reasons. At the top of my list is the sushi - you can either order in advance (best choice) or grab pre-made rolls to go which also keep well. It's by far the best sushi I've had in the area. Always incredibly fresh. Speaking of fresh, their fresh seafood never disappoints - salmon, crab cakes (my fave) - you literally cannot go wrong. The food is absolutely delicious here, and it's really nice to have another healthy option in the neighborhood. The sushi rolls themselves are rolled to perfection, like something out of a magazine. The poke bowls are gigantic with extremely generous servings of sticky rice and beautiful pink tuna, topped with fresh mango, avocado, edamame, spicy mayo, sesame seeds, seaweed salad, scallions, pickled cucumbers-- almost any ingredient you could want, served in huge portions. The service is helpful, and it's easy to get what you need for lunch and get in and out quickly, particularly with the pre-made sushi rolls by the door. The sushi chef in the window often greets you when you come and go, adding a friendly vibe to the store. I had previously written a negative review for Fjord. However, my recent experiences had been so greatly improved, I wanted to delete it and write a new one. I'd love to see the poke bowl area be ready to go earlier (say, 11am?) for those of us with early lunch breaks; it seems to open around 12pm. I came to this restaurant with one thing in mind: Poke Bowls! A friend recommended I try the poke bowls as we travel to Hawaii frequently and always miss and crave the food. When I walked into the market I was instantly impressed with the layout, cleanliness and signage. There is a sushi counter and chef in the front and a long case of fresh fish. Next to the cashier there is a stand where there are little metal bins - this is where you can order a poke bowl. $13.99 and they generously fill a large paper container with whatever you desire. I was a little intimidated at first because I couldn't see the ingredients available under the covers of the bins, so my options were obscure. Nevertheless Chris, the guy behind the counter, introduced himself to me and immediately started small conversation. I felt like a local, I felt like I belonged! Chris patiently showed me each option under the lids of the bins. You choose salad or rice as a base, then your fish. They have raw or cooked fish for the less adventurous. Then fresh mango, edamame beans, cucumber, red and green onion, jalapeños, soy sauce, spicy mayo, sesame seeds and macadamia nuts. I appreciated that the bins were covered and on ice because everything is fresh! I especially appreciated how thinly they sliced the cucumber and red onion and had it soaking in water to keep it crisp. The bowls were delicious. The rice perfectly starchy and sticky. The fish was super fresh. We had raw salmon and raw tuna. Would we go back again? Absolutely. This place is a gem and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. read more

The sushi is also fresh, though, it's more like supermarket sushi, despite having a sushi chef on site (cold rice being the main culprit). 1 star taken away for the rude service we received the last time we stopped in. I called the night before to see when they would have their lunch items out. The gentleman told me around 11 (they opened at 10). At 1230 we strolled in and asked for lobster rolls to which the guy behind the counter asked if we called in the order. We hadn't, so he rolled his eyes, huffed and said it would take 15-20 minutes and to go for a walk. Service here leaves much to be desired. Went in for a lobster roll for an early lunch. With everything going on due to COVID, we prefer going places early to avoid crowds and lines. We were told they would not make a lobster roll at the time. Nowhere on the menu does it say there is a time for lobster rolls or lunch items. When I asked when they would be making them, their response was rude and a simple "later, around lunch time". Clearly the staff was lazy and did not feel like making a lobster roll. I've tried some places and never found it to be satisfying enough (lived in Los Angeles for a summer and have high expectations for Poké) for me until I came here. They have a poké bar where you can choose from various fish, cooked or raw, as well as white rice, brown rice, salad, and various ingredients. I always choose white rice, raw salmon, mango (to make it sweet and salty), edamame and scallions. The fish is amazingly fresh and they give you a heaping amount for the price. This morning, I ordered 1.5 pounds of salmon over the phone for curbside pick up. When I arrived, I phoned the store to tell them I was outside. A man came out with a bag. He called out a name which I did not quite hear. I told him my name, and he put the package on my car seat. When I got home, I found that he had given me the wrong package with slightly less than one pound of salmon. I called the store to say that they had given me the wrong package but I would keep it and for them to credit my card for the difference. He said he could not do that and that I had to come back to the store. When I got there, the man did not apologize and implied that it was my fault because he had called out the correct name. I have only been here once (since it is a bit of a drive) but I definitely plan to revisit.
