Through a referral from a neighbor we visited Flack's showroom and were met by Mason Flack who walked us through various options. We chose the flooring we wanted and Mason followed up with a home visit to take measurements and brought floor samples to ensure the choice we made matched the look we wanted. I was supposed to receive a call from the owner Brad Flakk, never called, emailed, nothing! * the leveling of the floor was terrible. Created dips and hollow sound in a lot of the area they did the work. So much so I had to pull up some of the floor and re-level so I can put in a new pedastall sink. I later purchased the floor to do myself upstairs so that the floors will match and about 4 boxes arrived damaged. stay away from this place!! read more

LIKE NO OTHER, TAKE A FULL BOW HONEY!! It all started when the guy next door gave my husband a business card which he gave to me because I collect them. I immediately checked out the business, bookmarked it and stored it. By the way, the guy next door happened to be a Flack's employee who was on the job. We are in the process of updating our decor so flooring is next on the list. When it comes to decor, I only wink at contemporary but save my full bow for tradition. However, I need a very modern floor to balance it all out and anchor the entire first floor. I like wood, leather and metal so the last thing I want to see on my floor is more of the same. Also I lived in a home with hardwood floors for a number of years, so I know better. After reviewing their website, I decided that I needed to visit them immediately. I appreciate a very detailed and organized website and it will always win over the other guy who just "phones it in". If you are looking for hardwood or wood-look products, this is your store as they have an extensive collection. We focused on the luxury vinyl options that reflect the look of stone and we also checked out the carpet. When it comes to flooring, I need to experience it as I will experience it in my home so I made sure to step on every piece without shoes on. I love that the store is fully interactive so that customers can easily access the products themselves and experience the samples built into the floor. We narrowed down our options and took photos but the product that we really liked was a bit too light in color. But the good news is that they will be rolling more items out in the next few weeks so we will definitely be back to check out the new line. After checking out this area, we moved over to the carpet. Lord! Have mercy!! There was just no way we could absorb all of the information that was available. There are three areas: informational, where you get to see it all in a nut shell: the manufactures and samples of what they have to offer. The second area is what I refer to as the play-pen area where several of their options are displayed in an open space for you to walk around and experience it on the floor and explore all of the colors and textures available. It was awesome and definitely something you will want to experience to the fullest so leave the heavy shoes at home and wear flip-flops that can be easily removed. There is not a bad carpet in the bunch so be prepared to be overwhelmed and ready to stay a while. The final area is the showroom which has tons of remnants and flooring options. At this point, I knew that I would probably be making two more trips before deciding anything. It's nice to be overwhelmed in a good way! If you are painting, it helps to bring a sample of your paint to see how it will be reflected against your flooring option. Just paint a piece of printing paper with two coats of the paint of your choice and you can easily fold it up and carry it with you. Finally, I have to give a "shout out" to Philip who was an absolute doll, (in a GI Joe sort of way). He was professional, knowledgeable and very attentive. He introduced us to the products, allowed us the space to explore and checked in on us frequently. This store offers everything that you will need and want in a flooring store but it is not a "one shot" deal so prepare to make a couple of trips before being able to narrow the field. Whether your style is traditional, contemporary or transitional, you will definitely find an option here! *** If you do your research first, you will definitely feel a "little" less overwhelmed. ***After some consideration, I realized that nothing compares to natural stone and I will be sticking with porcelain as my floor of choice. However, if I needed something for a casual family room, playroom or exercise area, I would definitely consider the luxury vinyl options. Recently called to schedule install of hardwood floors in my house. I already know exact measurement and exactly what I want. The guy in the phone acted like he didn't want to do the job...he kept saying, "well we're at least 3 weeks out," I told him that was fine and he just himmed and hawed until I asked, "so do you not want to do the job?" Quick summary, if you want awesome service, amazing flooring and a fantastic price then this is where you need to get your flooring. Quite often when I have work done I notice issues a few months later or you can see where the work just wasn't done to last. Because of this I decided to wait 6 months to write a review. We had new carpet installed back in June of 2013. The initial interaction with Flacks was fantastic. They had a massive selection, the pricing was better than anyone else we had visited (roughly 6 other shops), and the service was great. They didn't pressure us or try to up sell us on anything that we experienced with other places. Brad helped us come up with the exact footage that we would need based on our drawings and we were on our way. On the day of the install the crew was running a few hours late but Flacks called us every hour or so to update us. The crew showed up in the afternoon and finished the job that day. Also as a side note, they respond and communicate great over email. This made it quick and easy to get answers to questions without calling. Invoice was also sent to us via email which I like. Hands down, this is the place to get your flooring. The install was done 6 months ago and I haven't run into a single issue. read more

Great service from the showroom with Brooke to the guys that laid the floor. A special shout out to the floor crew. When the old floor was removed we found the sub flooring to be cement and not wood....totally unexpected for a second floor. They ground down the high spots and thinset the low areas. Bought carpet for the second floor of the home I just purchased. I went with a new carpet style that they had just started carrying in their store. Midway into the job the installer realized the carpet would not stretch properly and couldn't be used on the stairs we wanted done. I called the company and spoke to the owner who apologized for the inconveinance. He told me to come down and pick out any new carpet choice and even if it was a more expensive brand/style of carpet we could have it for the same price. I picked out a different brand and he had a team of installers there that week to remove the old carpet they originally partially installed and put down the new carpet. The job was done quickly and came out great. So nice to see a company do the right thing by their customers. read more

Went to Flacks in March and said we weren't quite ready, but Brad Flack gave us a lot of his time. They have a wonderful showroom and adjoining warehouse with tons of rolls of remnants in every size and color. Called in April to have him come out and measure. Went back to the showroom the same day and were able to get 6 rooms of carpeting plus a long hallway.....all from the remnants. The entire upstairs was from one remnant roll! The two downstairs rooms were different, but exactly what we needed. This saved us about $3,000 and the carpet is beautiful.....great quality. Their installers arrived at 10:00 a.m. and finished at 7:15 p.m......never stopping, just working straight through. Brad called twice to make sure everything was OK. I recently had the carpeting in my house replaced in anticipation of getting ready to put it on the market. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Flacks especially Philip. From our first meeting to the final installation, he was great. We wanted it done yesterday, lol but faced a challenge with another contractor falling behind schedule. Updating carpet is usually not a pleasant experience for us. We anticipate over priced carpet, less than knowledgeable sales people and no way to know if the carpet we like is practical for the room it's going in. We were referred to Flack's by a friend who had the same apprehensions but his experience at Flack's was just the opposite as was ours. Brad greeted us on the floor, asked us a few questions about our needs and then turned us loose in the warehouse to look around. Once we found some carpet we liked, he explained the advantages or disadvantages of each and showed us comparable carpet for less money. We made a choice, did the paper work and arranged for a day to install it. Installers were on time, moved the big furniture and got it installed and moved the furniture back. We are very pleased with the entire experience and would recommend Flack's to anyone looking for flooring. They are up I-400 and have a large selection compared to Lowe's or Home Depot. read more
