Incredible food and service. Get the lobster! It's absolutely out of this world and unlike almost any you'll find in the US.

We went there to celebrate the wife's birthday over lunch and we both had the NY strip steak. Agreed that it was one of the best steaks we have ever had. Simply amazing. View from seating outside was very nice and scenic. Service was also excellent. Not the cheapest lunch by far (by very far) but for a once a year event and especially a special event it was just fine. Afterward we went over to the Breakers Hotel for a stroll around the scenic and historical grounds. We will be back to the Flagler Steakhouse, for sure. read more

I enjoyed my dining experience at Flagler Steakhouse. I was attending an event at the Breaker's and was lucky enough to be in the group that was assigned to dine here. We were invited for a luncheon in celebration of my mother's cousin's 100th birthday. It was a small group of ten at a corner round table. Four stars would be given alone for the service and care for this special event. No request or accommodation was a problem. Everything went seamlessly. As we were guests, we were given special menus without prices and the middle page of their regular menu was imprinted with our cousin's name and Happy 100th birthday. So I can't speak to how expensive any item might have been. The room itself is upstairs above the golf pro shop across the street from the entrance to the main hotel. There are stairs as well as an elevator to get to the restaurant. From the inside the restaurant, there is a lovely view of the golf course. There is no formal dress code, but you will want to be in upscale resort attire. You could tell the visitors easily from the Florida residents. On a cool sunny Florida day, we were in sweaters and jackets. Visitors were in light shirts and skimpy skirts. We started with a couple of the menu appetizers for the table to share: marinated Brussel sprouts and artichoke bottoms; thickly sliced tomatoes with onions. Some of the group also had tomato soup. The bisque style soup came in a huge bowl and in the middle were some shaved pieces of cheese. It was served very hot and was quite good. For our main meal, we ordered a variety of sandwiches, salads, and omelets. A Reuben, a fish sandwich, a choose your own ingredients omelet, a salad with sliced chicken, and similar. Portions were quite large and everything very good. For dessert, we had a specially ordered cake. Some added ice cream or fresh berries. I had the berries and it was a nice size bowl of the freshest, most beautiful assortment of blackberries, strawberries, blue berries, and raspberries. There was no rush. Amazing everything! To start, we had the blue crab dumplings. THE BEST!!!!! You MUST get these if you go. For my meal, I got the filet mignon cooked rare, and it was perfect. The mashed potatoes were amazing and seasoned perfectly. My mom got her steak with the baked potato side, and she loved it also. The whole family agreed that this was one of the best steak restaurants we have ever been to. We got the key lime pie for dessert and loved it also! Let me start off by saying this was over Valentine's day. Now I will explain I did not make this reservation but I have to believe my stepdad when he explained what happened because when we arrived & were seated no one truly welcome us until our actual server (2 servers later & a Busser) came by; none explained this was a prix fixe menu. On top of that I had to ask how this specific prix fixe menu worked with some of the items that were on the menu. Now, our server was amazing. She really was. Smiling, professional, knowledgeable, & friendly. The issues with the kitchen were not her fault. Three people cost us just under $800. My stepdad took care of the hill but as a hotelier I was absolutely shocked that no one had explained to us (especially when he made the reservation) the price of the prix fixe. Coming from one of the top Hotels in the Country, I was pretty shocked to even see that price. Yes, even compared to the breakers, the price, I felt should have had a pairing inclusive of the cost. That was an extra $50-$80 (give or take a few dollars). Lobster was overcooked, steak was delicious, & all desserts were extremely tasty minus the red velvet which i personally felt was dry & not very flavorful. Drinks, although took forever were also a delight. No one said goodbye at the end of the meal (there was a hostess we walked right by on the way to the stairs. She was looking down (was not even on her phone). Unfortunately the one server cannot he held liable for all the interactions throughout the night that three people would have. Thankfully, she did make up for everything. The caliber of The Breakers is something I definitely would have expected a much better overall experience. My stepdad, unbeknownst to me emailed Management. The first gentleman clearly did not know how to handle a situation like this. Nevetheless, trying his best he recognized this & contacted upper management. He called back my stepdad & quite frankly did a fabulous job at the recovery for the overall experience. The Flagler Steakhouse is one of the finest steak houses I have ever been to. The selection of steaks on the menu, the atmosphere, the staff and the finished product are all top-notch. Since it is located in the Famous Breakers Hotel, you would expect the prices to be "elevated" and you would be correct. Dinner will cost between $100 to $150 per person. But oddly these prices seem almost reasonable when you consider the quality of the food you get. I ordered a bone in filet mignon, something I have never seen before. It was magnificent! It tasted like a regular filet mignon but on steroids! The flavor jumped right out of it into your mouth. It was tender, juicy and prepared perfectly. It came with a choice of a baked potato, sweet potato or french fries. I selected a sweet potato which was cooked perfectly. My dining companion ordered the strip steak which was also prepared perfectly medium rare, and very flavorful. We ordered a side of broccoli rob which was served al dente and a light olive oil dressing. Magnificent. The appetizer and dessert menus were fantastic. With desserts such as chocolate torte, New York cheesecake and Key lime pie available. I observed the dessert served on the tables and the pieces were, to put it mildly, large. The chocolate torte served to the table next to ours was more than a piece of chocolate torte, it was almost half a chocolate cake! Unfortunately we were so full from dinner we did not have the room order dessert. We will order it next time we dine here. If you're celebrating a special occasion, or have a company expense account, I totally recommend the Flagler Steakhouse at the Breakers. It is an excellent restaurant. read more

I love having a local place you can always take out of town guests or recommend without hesitation, and KNOW people will have a perfect experience. You can't do a lot better than Flagler. They are top level customer service. The food is all excellent. The views are fantastic. You will pay for this service but it is sooo worth it. I have to admit, outstanding service, friendly staff, 5 stars for that. Decor, very very old non appealing. Time to modernize to new clientele and bring life to the building. Food is another story. I went for lunch and I was very disappointed and surprised. French onion soup wasn't very good. I have had better at a chain restaurants. Steak house burger with fries a total disaster. Fries over seasoned with salt and where cold. Burger consistency very mushy with a strange season. Wouldn't eat it. I don't reorder anything, because I don't trust kitchens when I'm not happy with my food. You can find much better food in other places, I would skip this place. Absolutely first class across the board. The setting and ambiance, food and most of all service is unmatched.

I had an espresso martini, blue crab dumplings, and the sweet corn and lobster crowder. It was my first time at this restaurant and I can't wait to return! Everything was delicious! I was full after those appetizers and their delicious bread, but I hope to return soon to try one of their entrees! I think the blue crab dumplings are a must, every visit! I had the market catch fish with mashed potatoes and asparagus. My wife had the South African twin lobster tails. My dis was a little over cooked and the mashed potatoes were just ok. The lobster tail was vey good. We also had French onion soup and that was delicious. My main course makes me hesitant to go back though. read more

I had booked outdoor seating and this was indicated on my reservation. The host attempted to seat us inside. I mentioned we had an outside table as we had for the last 20 years. They mentioned the had a mix up and they would need to discuss with the manager. They left us standing in the middle of the restaurant and when they finally came back they said they could seat us outside but around the corner on the deck. They also were so thoughtful for their mix up that they mentioned several times they needed us to be gone by 8:30 as another party was coming. So they gave our table away and mixed up our reservation and had the nerve to rush us through dinner because of their mistake. P.S. the manager never came over to apologize or make sure everything was ok. Just not the experience we've come to expect here and I question the leadership and management of their current operations. For the price point I'm not sure it's worth another visit. The ambience is very nice. The service is friendly. I was a little surprised they didn't ask us to cut into our steaks to make sure they were cooked properly. At $70-$90 per steak I feel like it should've been a slightly better experience. But I'm from Texas and and steakhouses are like grocery stores there. Lots of competition and I have higher expectations. I had the petit filet. It wasn't bad but I like a nice pan sear on my steak. This one was a little burnt and salty. Not sure if that's just the method here or what but it was in fact different from what I'm used to. We just had an incredible meal/experience. The service, experience and food were extraordinary . While in Palm Beach what do you eat, Chicago Prime Beef from #LinzMeats Calumet City IL. Our choices were prepared with the finest ingredients perfectly. The Tomahawk Ribeye was perfectly Med Rare and the baked potato, #40 count was baked to perfection then stuffed with bacon and a layer of melted aged cheddar served with sour cream and butter on the side. The potato was that extra effort that complimented the steak - a truly memorable experience. The Breakers and their family of restaurants are an experience we highly recommend. Had the most delicious experience here on Christmas Day with my extended family! My aunt made a reservation for 1:30pm Christmas Day and there was a pre-fixed menu in place (1 appetizer, an entree and a desert of your choosing for $95 p/p plus tax and gratuity).The steakhouse is just across the road from the main Breakers Hotel, and located on the golf course. When we arrived, we valeted our car (which was complimentary), and entered a beautifully decorated lobby. There was a large and very pretty Christmas tree and nice holiday decorations all around. There are bathrooms and an elevator on the main floor, as the restaurant is upstairs. We posed for some pictures and then went up stairs to be seated. Greeted with a smile, and seated promptly at a lovely table near the window to look out onto the course. Our server Ashley greeted us with a smile and was very pleasant and prompt from beginning to end. She provided us with a lovely experience. Warm, soft bread with soft, spreadable butter arrived and we ordered some Prosecco to toast to Christmas lunch. There were many options for appetizers to choose from, but I went with the heirloom tomato salad. It was a fresh warm up for what was to come. My family members enjoyed the oysters and the shrimp cocktail, and all were pleased. Since we were at a steakhouse we obviously all got steak, but there was also a choice for Sea Bass or Salmon, and a Blue Crab eggs Benedict. We ordered a delicious red wine of my Uncle's choosing to compliment our steaks. My cousin and I got the Filet Mignon which had lump crab with Bearnaise Sauce and came with truffle whipped mashed potatoes and asparagus. Can I just tell you that from the first bite, until I was too full to finish, I relished at every chew. It was all cooked perfectly and all the flavors accentuated each other perfectly. My uncle ordered the Prime Rib, and wow what a serving! It came with asparagus as well, and a twice baked pimento cheese sweet potato. Of course I had a taste, and I was delighted at how delicious this plate was as well! My aunt had the Grilled Prime NY Strip and farm eggs. She ordered her eggs sunny side up and it was served with breakfast potatoes (which I would call potato wedges) and chimichurri sauce. Everyone at the table was enjoying their entrees. Dessert was next and the slice of chocolate cake would have been more than enough for the table, but yes you chocolate cake fans, that was one serving. Chocolate cake for the win! We all ordered a different choice, and I opted for the Eggnog Creme Brulee. It tasted like christmas! A perfect mix of flavor between classic creme brulee and the taste of eggnog. I loved it, but it was too much for me to finish. My cousin got the Italian Cheesecake, and my uncle the Key Lime Pie, and my aunt the Chocolate Caker!! The Key Lime pie was perfectly sweet and tart. The Cheesecake was good and hint of orange in it, but could not compare to the cake. Layers and Layers of chocolate with fluffy cake in between and seemed like it was 10 layers tall! It was a perfect way to end the mean. We had enough cake to take home as well as my cousin and I leftover steak. Service all around from beginning to end was fantastic and the delicious food tied it all together for a luxurious Christmas lunch experience. We left with our stomachs full feeling special all the while. :) We headed back down to the lobby, and caught the free shuttle over to the main hotel to walk around and grab a drink at the bar. I took my wife to the Valentine's Day special dinner. The restaurant is lovely, but no ocean view. The special dinner seems overpriced. The food was excellent with one glaring exception, the steak tartare was so overly spiced it was, to me, inedible. The server offered to replace it, but I don't do that. Last night was our second time eating at this amazing restaurant. I have to say it's 5 star food with 7 star service. They go above and beyond to make you feel special and welcome. The bone in filet mignon is to die for! My kids had the shrimp scampi, and I can say they should add it to the adult menu because it's one of the best I've ever had. I came with no expectations. We are a steak family and I have to say, this was an incredible steakhouse and everything we ate was delicious.
