New Smyrna Beach has a great collection of seafood restaurants. But Chase's stands out for their service. This week I ate fish sandwiches at Off The Hook, Picketts, Breakers, and JB's. They were all very good. I went to Chase's a few times. A couple times walking off the beach to have a beer at their beach bar that kind of dangles over the beach. There I met 2 excellent and attentive bartenders. Billy and Katie are great. Making sure everyone is aware of the specials with a quick wit and totally enjoying their jobs. I noticed that the food delivered to patrons around me looked really good. Good prices with a great view of the ocean. A great beach bar. Saturday night I came back for dinner at their inside restaurant. Excellent valet parking. Newly remodelled and bright upscale restaurant. Kayla was super friendly. My fish sandwich (sheepshead) was prepared perfectly with a good portion. We also had the bruschetta appetiser, it was also good. Service makes a restaurant great. read more

We had a great lunch here on the lower deck area. After some past storm repairs, the layout here changed but now they seem to have more room for tables. Our server was great, checked on us several times. My friend had a side Caesar salad and fish tacos. I had the mahi tacos, blackened very well, and fries. Everything was delicious. read more

We were meeting some friends for lunch today and they suggested this place. It was a great suggestion. The ambiance is fantastic sitting outside overlooking the ocean. In addition to an outside bar area, they also have two different patio levels that face the ocean. We got a table on the upper patio in the shaded area. The lower patio is much bigger but was also in the full sun. The drink menu has about a dozen different tropical drinks. We went with the orange crush, the mojito and a Pina colada. They were all great. The food menu has many options including appetizers, salads, tacos, handhelds and entrees. Our party of six had the fried flounder sandwich, the ahi wontons, a coconut shrimp wrap, surf and turf tacos, the steak tips salad, and the ahi tuna salad. Everyone really enjoyed their choices. Our group of 11 showed up unannounced but the wonderful staff jumped into action and had us seated in no time. I try to remember names but this time I didn't. Our waitress was a wonderful young woman and took care of our every need. The staff helped deliver food and worked as a seamless team. As the pictures show, Chase's is much more than a simple beach restaurant. In fact I'd say it has no equal all the way down the beach and beyond Flagler. I don't know all the dishes that were ordered but the end result was empty plates and full bellies! We've been coming to NSB for decades and we just found Chase's. My first visit here even though I've been a local for many many years, I guess this venue's reputation always was part of my decision not to come here, I recently decided to give them a try and see for myself. We dropped in a little after noon time on a weekday and although the parking can be a little challenging we finally decided to park across the street which was fine. My first impression after walking into the restaurant was wow what a beautiful place and what have I've been missing? After speaking with the hostess we decided to go grab a seat beachside at the outside bar - there were several people seated and the bartender seemed to be engaged with a few guys and although acknowledged us was in no hurry to take our drink order but finally arrived and asked us what we wanted while looking over her shoulder and continuing her conversation - she offered a menu and we looked it over while trying to hold on to our drinks the wind coming off the water made the outside bar feel like a wind tunnel so we cashed out and decided to move inside. I will say moving inside was a great move and felt like this was our second visit instead of our first especially after meeting our wonderful server Shi'Anne who saved the day, she is just a wonderful server, very friendly and engaging and totally understands customer service and is probably one of the main reasons we'll return besides the food. This restaurant is gorgeous and with full beach access and lots of windows to enjoy the view. We decided to order the daily special which was shrimp pasta we got it blackened and it was pretty amazing and the lunch portion was impressive. We also ordered the (3) Mini-Bourbon Beef Sliders which I highly recommend so fresh and served hot and juicy. Shi'Anne stopped by several times throughout our meal she was a joy to talk with and she asked about our opinion of the restaurant the food and the service (who does that right). First time here, great ambience you're sitting literally on the beach. They have a couple of bars and oddly enough they have a swimming pool that's open all the patrons right by the bar. I was sitting at a beautiful location. Great food great service. We'll go back there again. read more

Little breezy outside tonight on the patio but we were ignored for a bit but thankfully Jada came to the rescue and took extremely good care of us throughout the evening. The island chicken sandwich was incredibly good and my wife devoured her strawberry salad she's probably going to be upset from you for saying it that way but she really did enjoy it. As always the PainKiller cocktails were on point and mother nature did her works and brought us a fantastic sunset. The food here is always pretty good. Coconut shrimp is cooked nicely, stays tender. Wings could have been a but crispier for my taste, maybe try the sauce on the side if you like a crunch. Our server was attentive, kept our waters topped off even though it was quite busy. The vibe of this place has changed dramatically since the renovations after the hurricane. Used to be a beach bum, divey spot which I loved. Now the inside is very modern with a classier decor. The patio still retains some of the original charm with updated furniture. Great place to grab drinks and some food, while overlooking the Atlantic. We sat on the top level patio which provided a wonderful view - there are lots of tables on various levels, and each provides a good overlook (pick your seating strategically if too much sun or not enough sun is important to you). The drinks averaged about $13 a piece which is higher end but not bad for the view and the experience. We had lunch entrees - I had the surf and turf tacos which were just okay, a bit dry with lots of a seasoning. The ahi wontons looked really creatively prepared. Service from Gabrielle was decent - she did have a lot of tables to handle on a busy Saturday. With tip and tax and drinks, pricing average about $50 per person all in. While the restaurant does have a parking lot, it does get busy on weekends - We parked directly across the street at a dirt lot. I'd recommend, and certainly go back when looking for a fun hangout. read more

Every time we come to NSB we park here, go to the beach and eat. We've been fortunate thats it's never been crazy busy but always lively. I get the tuna every time and it's consistently yummy. They've recently redone a lot of the restaurant and it's nice. Will come back. read more

We ordered takeout from the new menu tonight. Key Lime Mahi and shrimp. And Honey soy tuna and shrimp. Soooooooooo delicious and tasty! Perfectly seasoned! The entrees came with rice that was also delicious and veggies (zucchini, squash, broccoli...). Just yummy! We are definitely going back to eat there while relatives visit next week. And then more often. The food is a 10! And the atmosphere and restaurant are a 10! It used to be our favorite 15-20 years ago but has improved 1000 % in the recent years. We arrived at chase's at 1pm on a Saturday. There was a 20 minute wait. Since I last came they remodeled and it feels much fancier and a little stuffy. I miss the old beach bum atmosphere. We love to come for lunch while we are having a beach day so I felt uncomfortable being inside. However the food was amazing. Wings were crispy and the coconut shrimp with the pina colada sauce. It is the top reason I come. Drinks were tasty but I miss their old drink bucket list. Live music was a nice touch. Overall had a good time it has just changed a lot. read more

What a beautiful place to have a wedding on the beach but "not" in the sand. The whole experience was amazing and breathtaking. Our niece and her fiancé were married in the early evening with a beautiful sunny day filled with an amazing backdrop of the ocean. As the evening went on we had the opportunity to watch the events unfold while being catered to by top notch staff at the Chase on the Beach. The food was delicious and desserts were sinful. We also had the opportunity to enjoy Chase on the Beach for a luncheon and again perfecto. Food and service was outstanding. And apparently I was distracted that not many pictures were taken. This place was recommended to us and it did not disappoint! I don't eat seafood, so I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta and it was extremely delicious. I couldn't stop myself from eating it. It had really nice flavoring. My husband ordered some fish tacos and really enjoyed those as well. We are inside, but there were large windows so you could still look outside to the beach. When Hurricane Ian closed this place we were sad at the loss of a decent beachside spot. The photos were of so much devastation. Then they came (are coming) back! What they also have is a much-improved menu with quality being really excellent. No longer will we think of this as a beach-side burger and drinks place. The quality of the food and service have been amped up and the ocean view has returned with a nice quality upper deck and a bar with some of the best ocean views. They are not completely done, but they have already made a great return impression on us. read more

Even an outdoor shower so patrons who are walking up from the beach can have a sand free eating experience! Had occasion to come here visiting my family in Florida. The ambiance is beachy as it's right off the beach. The crowd is varied although mainly residents, it seemed, on the day I came in. They have a pool for patrons only but you have to be over 21 to use it. My grandson wasn't happy about that but I do understand. No one wore a mask, including me, although I promised myself We ordered the calamari appetizer and and lobster bites. The group liked them, though I found them salty but they were decent. The calamari was very good. I ordered the arugula feta strawberry salad. It was tasty but the next time I'll have the dressing on the side to control how much. My grandson gobbled up the chicken fettuccine dish, so that was a good testament. While we were there there was live entertainment which is always nice. A two man duo with strings and vocals. I don't know the genre but it seemed appropriate for the venue. I do recommend this spot especially for visitors. It was enjoyable and the service was good. read more

Closest place to our condo each year, but we had never been. Heard it was remodeled so had to check. Very nice facility but unfinished as of 8/8 (minor things being finished here and there; no direct entrance/exit to the beach which I hope is coming). We ate lunch there. Menu is a good mix of seafood and other items, handhelds and regular entrees, etc. And good drinks (I had some frozen drinks, so its a full bar for sure. We ate inside. Need to go have a drink at the outside bar (even closer to the water) some afternoon. read more

Chase's is so cool! Just went here for the first time. I had walked past it years ago but never went inside . We went midday on a Monday, so it wasn't busy at all. They recently renovated and reopened after July 4. I love how the bar has an inside and outside. The inside is nice and modern, while outside is beachy and casual. The pool is a fun addition. Plus, you can't beat the views! Pro tip: the beach access is closed for repairs so map ahead of time if you're going to walk and take the A1A entrance! read more

They did a remodel, seems to seat more people, looks very nice in side. The waiters are over busy/loaded with tables. Our waiter kept telling us that she would be right back, she took our drink orders and back back 20 mins later with the drinks. The food we order was gator tail. It was severed hot its roughly $20 for about 8-10 pieces that's all we order tho because it was too busy . There is an outside bar that is open seating, They have the pool still that was closed this weekend. They still have live music. We will give it another try in the Fall. read more
