I had covid and tried to get a deferment since Im unable to work 3 weeks, only thing they would donwas move my payment date! I asked for a 1 or 2 montu deferment until I can get my finances in order from lack of working and thesy said no it wasnt an option but never gave me a reason. I wish I would have read the reviews about these idiots before I agreed to do business with them. I'll never ever in life recommend these people to anyone. It doesn't matter if you pay ahead on your car note, you'll still end up owing them more than you should. I doubled my note for almost a year and it does not reflect on my balance. When you tell them to apply what you paid extra to the principal, they lie and say that they did when they didn't. Then they'll send some bs spreadsheet showing absolutely nothing. I wasn't sure which star to put. 3 or 4. Initially I was with Santander Bank. I cam across Flagship by accident and with my crappy credit they still significantly lowered my rates as well as made the process pretty easy. Wasn't perfect but pretty decent. Like any other car finance company I kinda understand their stress. If someone doesn't pay, they get in to panic mode. I twice missed my payments for a week or two and they call you non stop but over-all, they have been pretty consistent. I am putting a 4th star on because they actually let me get rid of the collision and comprehensive insurance, which was killing me on insurance side. Yes. I took full responsibility but I am a very safe driver and have a dash cam, so if someone hits me, I have video to prove it and the other carrier will pay for damages. read more

I was reading the list of reviews and I was wondering if maybe I had the wrong company. I didn't Flagship Credit Acceptance has done more to assist with this difficult Time during the Corona virus by far than any of my other creditors. Save work payment plans and differ payments. The people I've spoken have been extremely friendly and helpful and what met more than anything to me they understood my current situation. I was scared to death when I lost my job I've never went without a job in my life. The compassionate people on the other end of phone reassured me we could work together and they would help. They have taken such a burden off my shoulders. Today I go and look at my credit report knowing that I am behind on my car payment and I see that they reported the payment on time. I just wanted to take a second and say thank you because with all the stress and everything going on today I seen that and it gave me a new Hope. I took a high-risk I realize that when they offered me the one in the first place I'm not sure I would give myself a chance if in their position and then everything going on today. It gives me a sense of hope because the people that work for this company are truly compassionate for others and that's what the world needs. I will finance any cars for this company and I would recommend them. Most of you in this review list I put yourselves in the situation because you refuse to contact them or you assume the worst and show no respect. This is going to be a long and detailed post, in hopes that this will help someone else avoid this situation by going through a different bank. When I got a loan from Flagship I was approved for $325/month with a 14% interest rate, while buying a car through a dealership. It got approved and I got my first payment slip saying that I owed $480/month at 21% interest rate. I immediately called furious and after many phone transfers and days and days of calling, nothing was fixed. I basically said **** it. I was hung up on numerous times and no one spoke English. Making my first payment I had to call in and pay because they would not set up my payment portal. Paying by phone costs $10 extra. Which is ridiculous because they said no imposed fee by Flagship for paying that way. They finally got the portal set up and I set my account up for automatic withdrawal on my payment date, the 23rd of each month. They never would pull it out of my account until after the 28th of each month saying that I was late every month, which affected my credit. Along with that, my car was totaled just 5 months after having it (another drivers fault). I bought the car for $19,000 and at the time of the accident I only owed $15,000. The car was Totaled on Feb 10, 2016. I signed over Power of Attorney that next day to insurance after Flagship saw the damage and sold the car outright to my insurance company. My insurance paid $9700 on March 3, 2016 (remember my payment was due Feb. 23, 2016, but car was sold February 11, 2016). I got hit again with credit saying I had not made a payment. I needed a document from Flagship, my payoff history, so that I could start my gap claim. Flagship closed my account so I had no way to access unless I called in. I called in numerous times and got hung up on. When someone did try to help me out they said they could only mail me the document (not fax or email.) One month later I received the document and it was torn in the middle so I couldn't even use the document to submit to gap claim. (Gap worked with me and let me use my bank account to prove payment history since Flagship was unreliable.) Gap Claims then took over and they were suppose to pay the rest of the payment off. Gap called me and said that they sent the payment to Flagship and that Flagship received it on April 4, 2016. Once again, I got hit on my credit, this time saying my payment was 60 days late. I called furious to Flagship asking why I kept being hit. They said, "Well interest has still been adding up since January 23, 2016 (last payment I made). Gap claims won't cover that, so you owe us $1901.56." WTF???!!! I signed over Power of Attorney and my name has been off the car since February 11, 2016. They are just freaking out that they lost the chance to get all the interest I would have paid. They will not accept my calls now. They keep hitting me with missed payments. When I call in, if I manage to speak to someone I say my name and get hung up on... or they would tell me my vehicle is going to be repossessed if I didn't make a payment today. I told them to go right on ahead. I wish them the best in finding the car. *** Idiots!!! This is the worst financing company I have ever gone through. Do not go through Flagship if you do not have to. Refinance as soon as possible if you can. read more

After our loan was paid off they drafted our account. I called and was told it would be back in account in two days. After a week my husband and I both called, waited on hold for over 40 minutes and never got through. Next day husband got through and we were told we would get a check back in a month. Worst company ever. I was ahead on my payments and even paid 10k on my principal last month. They repossessed my car. I was in accident on Friday flew out to hawaii next day called my insurance company a few days later knowing I might have fees from the city for holding my car. Flagship picked up my car and made me pay over 800 to pick it up. Now they wont even let my insurance company come get it. Rude customer service, and management is even more condescending. This company is horrible. They marked my account as 30 days late and reported it to Experian, and my credit score went down because of the false information. I was never 30 days late, yes I was late for a week, A WEEK late! Never 30 days. My auto loan is almost over with them, they really think they're slick, just because my loan is almost done, they're demanding me to pay the entire loan amount of $1700! In 11/22 when I made my November payment, I called the automated system to make a payment, it told me my payment amount of $298, but what's weird is when I called to make my December payment the automated system told me my amount due was $2200! I called customer service complaining and they couldn't even give me a straight real answer to why my amount due was $2200. So I told them, I wasn't going to make that payment and that I was going to pay my regular monthly payment of $298. So I paid it, and a few days ago, I get a Experian alert for my credit score, I go check and they marked my account as late! Remember...I made my payment for the month of January 2023! I've had my car financed with flagship for almost a year. I've never received a statement. I've gone online and made sure paperless was turned on, and all they do when I call is ask if I want paper statements mailed. No, I want your online system to work. It's February 2019, my account is only showing through July 2018. Nothing. With as much money that they make, they can afford to repair their website! And unless you want to mail a check, you'll be paying an extra $5 a payment to go though western union. Stay away! read more

If i could give them less than one star I would. I purchased my vehicle a year ago. I've ever been late on one payment. I call today to ask for my payment due date to be moved to another date. I was told that was not an option. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told a supervisor was not available and that my information would be given to a supervisor and they would call me back within 24-72 hours. I then asked what was my grace period and was told it could possibly be between 7-10 days and that i needed to look at page 3 on my contract. This was a wasted phone call. I was aware of it being on my contract but with the agent on the phone I thought id ask. There was a huge language barrier so she barely could understand me and likewise. This customer service is awful. I will pay this loan off ASAP and never refer anyone or recommend anyone to use them. read more

This finance company is extremely bad about calling you multiple times over and over. I had a payment that was "late" (I had autopay set up through them and the payment date was a day later than the "due date"). They called me 4 times in a matter of 5 hours. I explained to the first agent, and they said "oh - no problem". The second one called and told them the same thing. The third agent that called, I suggested they start checking their system before calling and this was the third call for the same issue. The fourth time I asked to speak to a manager and they hung up. I refinanced the car through another finance company. They received the payment, but called me the day after my due date - twice! I sent them in proof I dont owe those funds numerous times and I recorded all the phone calls now. This company is full of scam artists. I paid my car in full in April and was supposed to receive a refund on the gap insurance that I paid for under carfinance.com. I called about it and was told that it would be at least 90 days before I saw the refund. 60 days went by and I received a check for $26 when I should have gotten $127 back as confirmed with the Gap insurance company. I was told by a manager that I would receive the rest of my refund in 7-10 days. After 14 days, I called them back and was told that the request had been written incorrectly and that it would be another 90 days before I would see my money. While this is a trivial amount, the fact that they wouldn't right their wrong is upsetting and horrible business practice. I asked to speak with the corporate office and accounting and was told that they don't take calls. Shady...do not use this company! read more

I feel for the people struggling (and then get screwed over when you get COVID) and the people who got kinda screwed over because of human/computer error, but some of you are expecting a company to bend over backwards for you when you're late due to whatever reason ( I'm assuming not COVID, I feel like one would mention so, and at least one did)... Pay your bills. And the dude who said something about 30% APR, yeah that sucks, but if you destroyed your credit that badly most banks wouldn't even humor you that let alone less. A lot of banks are probably willing to go that high depending on the specifics of your credit report. This has been a horrible experience in the middle of a pandemic. I asked if there were any assistance due to hours being cut short and they told me I did not qualify for any assistance because I was not on any form of leave. This was in May when things started to get crazy. They asked me if I received my stimulus check which would help me make a payment. They make you wait for extensions well past your due date so they can charge late fees and still deny you. Most of the agents and management are total idiots. And the very few managers who babble on pretending they know what they're talking about are so cocky and rude that you feel demeaned and belittled after the conversation. They ask personal questions about finances and seem to forget that they are working for the customer. For instance, an extension is a benefit for customers to decide if they want it for most companies. This retarded company puts you through a bunch of bs, lies to you and then denies it.
