There was a bit of a line but it went reasonably quickly. Upon entry, you grab a tray and tongs, then make your way down the line of self-serve enclosed glass cases with shelves of fresh good. We chose a savory breakfast sandwich, an Almond Croissant and another sweet pastry. In line, the offered to heat our sandwich which we allowed. Then we ordered coffees, paid and sat down. A few minutes later, we walked back up to collect our coffees. The breakfast sandwich was tasty, though the ham and cheese in the center of the sandwich was untouched by the heating process. Next time, we'll ask for a longer heating cycle. The pastries were good. Not as good as made that morning in Paris, but better than most places we've been in the US. We also took some dessert pastries home for later that same night. My wife's was sort of ho-hum but mine was fabulous. I had what I guess would be a cro-nut?? Sort of like a doughnut that was made in layers of pastry, then cut out with a donut cutter. It had a filling in the center and had a sugary coating. SO GOOD! We'll be back to Paris Baguette and we'll try other items and for sure, we'll ask for our heated items to be heated a bit longer.

But because I traveled so long to get there I didn't wanna leave empty-handed so I bought a wedding cake and Oreo flavored cupcakes. When I got home, the cupcake was so darn good. I ate it with both hands!!! So moist but yet delicate enough to crumble when you bite into it. Really one of the best cakes I have purchased from a bakery in a long time. The service was outstanding! And the inside was very pink and pretty. They have an awesome backdrop to take photos with and even a couple tables to sit at. Definitely worth the dessert if you are in the Highlands.

We visited Saturday afternoon and found the shop busy but not crowded. There were half a dozen varieties of cakes on display including carrot, double chocolate, German chocolate and vanilla with strawberries. They graciously added Happy Birthday writing to ours and we picked up two packs of pistachio chocolate cookies. This is absolutely THE place to go for kolaches. You know, the sausage roll kind actually known as a klobasnek. These are the absolute best you'll ever find and they are half the price of anywhere else. Each roll has two sausages wrapped in cheese and hint of a sweetness somewhere in the process. They are delicious, perfect, and cheap. Where other places will make you cry at getting half a dozen, you'll get a dozen here and think maybe you should have gotten 18. But don't, save some for me.
