I wanted to write this review to say 'thank you'. I started a new job near Phillips highway and I only have a 30 minute lunch. I accidentally forgot my lunch on my counter so I was stuck having to find takeout nearby. I was worried that the wait time for an online order would take a long time but it didn't. I place my order at 1:27 and my food was ready by 1:32 a total of 5 minutes. I have uploaded a copy of my receipt so you can see the time that I ordered and the time that I picked up my food. As I placed my order, I got in my car and by the time I reached Flame Broiler my food was ready. I only used less than 10 minutes getting in my car and grabbing my lunch and I am able to enjoy the remaining 20 minutes to eat and relax. The food was delicious and fast! I'm very appreciative. The grilled dark meat chicken was delicious with our choice of spices -- I had the new spicy Korean and my companion had hers brushed with magic sauce. I introduced my aunt to The Flame Broiler today and she is now a fan! I had been to several locations in the area before, but it has been a while. We arrived at 11 am on a Thursday, and we were the only people in there until probably 11:30 or 12, when the lunch crowd started coming in. I had looked at the menu ahead of time, so I knew I wanted to order the regular bowl with chicken, brown rice, and veggies. My aunt ordered the same thing, and I was able to use a $5 coupon I had towards our orders. By the time we had picked our drinks and were sitting down, they already had our orders out to the table for us. The bowls come loaded with rice, chicken, cabbage, carrots, and a little broccoli. We were able to sit by the window, eat our food, and catch up. It never got super crowded, and the staff tended to the restaurant and orders. I let them know that I live about 20 minutes away from this location, and don't frequent that area, I only stopped in because I was handling business near by. I enjoy the option that I can get white meat only chicken and brown rice, always fresh! I got amazing service on my recent visit too. As I was packing my sauces to top off my bowls waiting on my to go order as usual, when my order was up the girl came from behind the counter and walked my food over to me. The place was empty when we walked in and I am hesitant in any chain Asian restaurant especially having gotten food poisoning from a popular one in the past. Rice is thought to be bullet proof in the west but stored incorrectly bacteria can rapidly develop. The number of calories in one Big Mac is equivalent to Flame Broiler's Half and Half Bowl. One Big Mac alone does not fill me up while the Half and Half does its job. It's healthier too, since the meat is grilled and not fried. Also, try their tender marinated short ribs and don't forget the magic sauce. The price of a bowl is $5.95 while the combo plates cost $7.75. I have to say that I was extremely disappointed in this visit. I have been here a couple of times but today anything that could go wrong went wrong. First I asked for the tofu plate but they delivered the bowl. Though he did apologize no one really made any effort to refund the money until I asked for the third time. Almost halfway through I bit into a piece of steak, being a vegetarian and adding meat to a meal when you've not consumed it in a few years can have some very difficult side effects. The Cook was shown the steak that was in it he did offer to make another one however I said no I will just do a refund. Again nobody really wanted to move around very much about giving me the refund but they did do it. Customer service was not what I expected and I definitely did not expect meat in a vegetarian bowl. I've been wanting to try this Korean fast food place for a long time so I was really excited to find one on our road trip. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectation and I was quite disappointed since I really was hoping this could become one of my fast food choices. We stopped about 15 mins before the closing but our order was to go and they said it was fine. But they literally closed everything and all the trash bins were empty with no trash bags...even in the bathroom which was very inconvenient. Food took no time but there was no customer service per se and not even a smile. The food was not very good at all. The beef was chewy and the sauce was almost non existent. The veggies were sad with very little taste to it. The bowl size was ok for regular and the price was not bad either if the food was good. Really enjoyed the half and half bowl. We got one with rice which was bland (the rice) put lots of sauce on it and it works. The other bowl was half and half on "salad" (shredded cabbage) also bland and raw so be prepared to pour magic sauce (like a real thick soy/teriyaki sauce) on it and you can get it down. Next time if it's available I might just get a half and half (half chicken/half steak) bowl just the protein and pour some magic sauce on it. That sounds like a winner! read more

This is one of my favorite lunch spots. Quick and healthy are whats on the menu here. I usually order the works bowl, which is chicken and beer served over brown or white rice with sauteed carrots, broccoli, and cabbage. Its all cooked in a wok over an open flame, so there's a bit of a bbq flavor to it. It's very simple and very tasty. They phillips location is generally very quick. I enjoyed The Flame Broiler restaurant. I was greeted by the helpful and friendly cashier whom explained how to go about ordering the famous rice bowls. I ordered the works. You can have stir fried vegetables (broccoli, cabbage, carrots and topped with green onions.) You have the choice of white or brown rice. You have the choice of chicken, Angus beef and the works ( beef and chicken). You don't have to include the vegetables. All the meat is marinated and grilled . The chicken was more tender than beef, in my opinion. You can also order dishes in platters rather than bowls. Platter Combos have a fresh cabbage salad and fresh fruit along with a larger portion of the rice bowel of your choice. They have this sweet sauce like a cross between teriyaki and soy sauce, it's delicious. Make sure you get a few of these "Magic Sauce". I purchased a Groupon for $10 or $12 for a $20.00 Groupon, which was so worth it. This was also the first restaurant that served Vitamin Water via fountain ( three different flavored). This is all about healthy eating. No skin, frying, dairy, MSG, trams fat or HFCS. I will be returning! read more

Love, Love, LOVE The Flame Broiler!! It is always my go to meal!! This place is healthy, delicious, and addicting! haha! I always get 'The Works' bowl, which consists of yummy chicken and beef, steamed cabbage, carrots and broccoli, and I always get mine with white rice who cares about the extra calories ;) I always get my bowl and immediately head to their infamous sauce bar! They have a magic sauce, which is kind of like a teriyaki (I asked the ingredients, they told me it was a secret lol!) then they have two types of hot sauce, the buffalo red sauce and their delicious super spicy green hot sauce! I also saw a lot of reviews on here complaining about their cabbage salad being dry... those people must have skipped the sauce bar because they have a wonderful Sesame salad dressing!! If your salad is dry, it's because you didn't but the dressing on it dummies! Not to mention they have a whole container of freshly cut jalapenos for that extra kick! YUM! And as always the service is incredible, you can't find another fast food joint with such sweet, kind, and helpful employees! The adorable girl behind the counter always helps me through the menu and explained all the sauces to me with such a positive attitude and seems so happy to be at work! The employees are always laughing and talking, working here makes my cooperate job look like a total drag! LOL. I've been to this location a couple times before. Today I ordered the half Angus beef/half chicken plate with extra chicken. The plate comes with half of an orange and cabbage "salad". I could have lived without the cabbage salad, which is pretty much raw cabbage and nothing else. I actually squeezed some of the juice from the orange all over my plate... gave it a lil' extra pop. For the cabbage, I sprinkled some water over it and popped the whole plate in the microwave to soften it a bit. I then added some of the white dressing that I believe is suppose to go on it. Took a little work but now my meal is complete. Now, I can get back to watching Hell's Kitchen lol read more
