My daughter is into al things Korean so she wanted to come here for lunch. We arrived at 1:30 after about 10 minutes we were finally greeted by the waiter. We were advised that since it was a holiday that it was dinner pricing all day. Just for the record it was St. Patrick's Day on a Tuesday in Jacksonville at a Korean Barbecue if my daughter wasn't with me I would have left but I didn't want to disappoint her to bad Gen Korean didn't feel the same way about me. I'm trying to extend grace to the server because he was the only one working all the tables but their were several request I made like getting silverware and I had to remind him after several minutes to actually get it. Our table initially ordered cilantro rice and we had already cooked and eaten most of our meal before receiving it. There were a couple things on the minute that was not available like the double dragon shrimp, I was told corporate had discontinued it. I could understand if there were physical menus but you scan a QR code so it's just updating it in one location. The cups were covered in water spots I guess that at least means they washed them but not sure how good. Finally just in case you are wondering there is no military discount. Overall I wasn't very impressed the food I did get was good but there is definitely room for improvement.

Love going here! Meat is always good quality and grilling is such a fun experience. Loved everything I ordered. From the kind service to the clean and lovely restaurant-- I will be back!

We waited a really long time to get greeted. The server took over fifteen minutes to come to our table to tell us that he would be back. Next he brought us cups of water with a lot of water spots. Then we were told that because it was St. Patrick's day we were charged with dinner all day. Next we were told that the double shrimp was no longer on the menu. I'm pescatarian without any seafood on the menu l could only have to five raw shrimp with heads on, rice and noodles. The glass noodles were very good. The service was poor, the music was toovloud and the food took too long to come out. The Cilantro lime rice shouldn't take so long we were done cooking our own food before the rice came out. I don't plan to go back.

Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care--every bite was delicious. The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome without being overbearing. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect whether you're out for a casual meal or a special occasion. Portions were generous and well worth the price. This place easily earns five stars, and I can't wait to come back again! I Have never felt so welcomed in a restaurant before A Huge Thank you my waiter ANTHONY aka (TOMBOY) for taking the time to help me as the restaurant was busy! The restaurant GEN was very clean and well organized along with spacious booths the whole family can sit at. Thank you

Ohh what a fun eating experience! Korean BBQ is something im not very familiar with, so friends said they would take me and show me how to do it! The concept is its $25 per person for lunch, for unlimited apps, meats, a Lil banchan and white rice. You can order 2 apps and 3 meats at a time, then they start coming out and everything tasted so good! I loved the japchae noodles, the meats were so good too, that crispy pork belly! Also loved they give you a side plate of sauces and a green tea salt to season your foods with! The only thing I didn't love is the service, I would have liked refills on the banchan or hot rice, but our server wasn't coming around much, and always seemed rushed. But all in all this was a very enjoyable lunch!

This is my go to place for KBBQ in Jacksonville! Definitely the one location with the most options to choose from! Love the wide open space for plentiful seating. Servers are super friendly and very willing to share recommendations. They also do a great job of bringing your orders quickly and switching out the grills. Food was really solid. Pork belly and brisket were of good quality. The side items were really good as well. Overall, excellent place! Price is definitely a little higher than some other places around town. But given the variety and quality, I'm willing to drop by if I find myself visiting Jacksonville :)

Huge restaurant which is a great option for big families, large work groups, post-game /team celebrations without feeling like you're crowding the place. They have booths for smaller parties and overall the vibe is very modern , very welcoming. I went with a party of 8 on a weeknight around 6:30pm. It seemed pretty busy and my only complaint is having to flag down the same server. They have an electronic device to put orders in so I would say it is efficient but we found ourselves running out of food before we were checked on so I would much prefer the servers to stop at our table pretty regularly. Overall I enjoyed our food. We ordered: Spicy pork bulgogi Beef bulgogi Premium chadol (thinly sliced angus brisket) Hawaiian steak The sauces are really good! Definitely elevated the dishes more. Highly recommended!

This is one of my fav places to eat. Back home in LA there are plenty of locations, I was excited for one to be closer to where I live currently. KBBQ is my comfort food and was something I always did with my dad as a youngin to adult age. He has left this world now and I keep the tradition going. I brought my friend with me. It was her first time. Our waitress Madisyn gave top tier service. She was very knowledgeable of the menu, gave amazing recommendations, and just made our experience special. We want her to be our waitress everytime we come lol. All the meats were fresh and delicious. The party bowl was a hit. Glad this was added to the menu. We'll definitely be back when Madisyn is working lol.

What a cool, intimate dining experience! Very fast service, a ton of options- we opted for the $30 all you can eat dinner option! My favorites- the beef bulgogi, beef galbi & spicy beef belly! Ask for garlic to grill, japche, fried mondu, and you can't forget the paper radish! The service was great, it's very clean, and it went great!

Restaurant was clean and big. Service was great. The meat selection was good. The kalbi and beef belly were soft and seasoned well. Their bonchon and appetizers were not good. They also don't have lettuce for you to eat with your meat like other Korean BBQ. They do have a salad. Premium meats are 20$ add on. All your party members need to be there before seating.

My wife's birthday lunch with a couple of friends. We went on Sunday so it's dinner price at $30 and additional $ if you want to add premium meats. We started off with some appetizers: * Korean Fried Chicken - bite size fried chicken with sweet and spicy sauce * Japchae - sweet and savory dish of stir-fried glass noodles and veggies * Fish Katsu - fried fish cutlet * Roce Sticks - fried rice cake with sweet spicy sauce For the grill, we cooked Honey Chicken, Garlic Chicken, Brisket, Beef Belly, Pork Belly, and multiple Beef Bulgogis which was our favorite. Our friend is limited to eating chicken so we missed out on some other meats, calamari, and shrimp, but we will definitely come back for those. The only reason for three stars was the wait. Once we put in our meat orders, it took a while to come out. We had to shut off our grill a couple of times or it will burn. Our server was great though. She was very friendly and accommodating.

    Premium items!

Ok...so I went back. We upgraded to the premium menus and oh my! It did not disappoint! Our fave was the boneless short rib. The wagyu was so delicious as well! And just when we thought we couldn't take anymore...we got the gochujang beef belly and it was my absolute fav! Not even on the premium menu. We got lettuce leaves to wrap the delights in. The service was frequent and attentive. We paired our meats with sliced radish and Terra beer. Love Terra. There are so many options that you need to try and it is impossible to find what you are jamming for in one visit. So happy we went back.

The side dishes were very flavorful, and I also purchased two drinks that were absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and provided good customer service throughout my visit. The only thing is that they told me that they do not clean tripe in Korea which was hard to believe. I do want to share a concern regarding the preparation of the tripe soup. After beginning the meal, I noticed that the tripe did not appear to have been cleaned. At first, I wondered if this was simply the restaurant's style of preparation, but after researching further, I learned that improperly cleaned tripe can be both unpleasant and potentially unsafe to consume because tripe comes from the stomach lining of the animal. Uncleaned tripe may still contain food residue, digestive material, parasites, worms, bacteria, and strong bile or waste odors. This can potentially lead to issues such as foul smell, unpleasant taste, food poisoning, bacterial contamination including E. coli or Salmonella, and symptoms such as stomach cramps, vomiting, or diarrhea. Proper cleaning is generally considered an essential part of preparing tripe, especially in professional restaurants where customers would quickly notice if the cleaning process was incomplete. Overall, I appreciated the kindness of the staff, the quality of the drinks, and the excellent side dishes. I am only sharing my personal experience and concern specifically regarding the preparation of the tripe soup.

You know what I didn't really want or collect as a kid? Trucks. Sorry Tonka. But I just didn't care about dump trucks or bulldozers or big rigs. And you know what, I kind of felt that way as an adult about food trucks. I mean, to me they were fine, but like my penchant for hot wheels in the past, I'd rather go to a sit down restaurant. Yeah, well Taste of Korea has me rethinking my food truck aversion! Located in a pretty ordinary parking lot on Beach Blvd, this is definitely a little food truck that can deliver some fantastic food! The guy taking orders is super friendly and patient as a noob like me tried to figure out what to order. Ultimately went with the Premium Doshirak, the bibimbap and the kimbap. For both the doshirak and the bibimbap I got the bulgogi beef for the protein. On the kimbap I tried the ham. All were excellent. The Doshirak is a cool box filled with banchan - small side dishes, and cooked rice. The banchan include Kimche, Japchae, fried dumplings and some cool desserts. The blogs is excellent and all of the banchan tasted great. I thought the eggplant was a little mushy but the flavor was still really good. Bibimbap flavor was excellent as well. The only downside is that the rice at the bottom doesn't get all crunchy from being cooked at the bottom of the hot bowl. But it was a minor issue to me. And the kimbap was super fresh. The ham wasn't overpowering and it was a nice change from getting role bulgogi in the kimbap as well. The only wish I have is more variation on the proteins for the dishes we got. But the food is super tasty and I look forward to going back to try the fried chicken and well, anything else on the menu. Maybe I'll bring a matchbox car or two to help pass the time while waiting for the food!

I can say this was one of the best meals I have had. My son and I enjoyed all of this. Great job.

The decor and vibe definitely give Asian street market -- I loved the neon signs. Thomas was our server and he was friendly, quick, and attentive throughout. We ordered the Twice Fried Korean Wings, Bonchon, and Chili Crisp Cucumbers to share. The wings were delicious with the best crunch, almost like candied chicken wings. My only complaint is I expected more heat from the gochujang. The Bonchon is essentially a flight of pickled sides: sweet pickled cucumbers, sweet pickled carrots and daikon (similar to what you'd find on a Vietnamese banh mi), and a well-fermented kimchi with mild heat and great flavor. We also ordered the Hong Kong Wonton Soup, and thought we ordered "Chow Fun" noodles -- but "Chow Faan" is actually their fried rice dish. Word of caution: if you want their take on Chow Fun noodles, order the "Beef Haw Fun" instead. The star of the show was the Hong Kong Wonton Soup -- the broth was authentically Asian, distinctly different from a classic French-style broth built on onion, celery, and carrot mirepoix. It was so good we ordered another one to go and took it to our mom to enjoy. We will definitely be going back to try some of their other dishes.
