I ordered 2 chicken bowls with add ons, and immediately noticed this location does not have sauce dispensers. I asked the lady at the register for sauce containers and she said refused and mumbled something about she would give them to me. When I picked up the order, I asked her for 2 Magic Sauces and 2 Red Sauces for each bowl (8 sauces total). She argued with me and said I only 6 sauces total. I even offered to pay for the extra sauce (which in retrospect is crazy considering I paid $24.60 for 2 bowls), and she still refused. She was clearly upset by my request, but did provide the sauce I requested. One of the perks of Flame Broiler is being able to use the sauce dispensers to add as much sauce as you want. We will not be going back to this location. As you can read from other reviews, this location is very stingy with the sauces. I come here often as it is near my job and the old owner has always been very rude. She crossed the line in my last visit and has lost a customer. I ordered a bowl and asked for teriyaki sauce on the side. She only gave me one, which wasn't enough for me. So I grab the teriyaki bottle to add sauce directly on my bowl. She literally snatched the bottle out of my hands before I got the chance to add sauce. She continues to tell me that she already gave me a sauce in the bag. I told her that I wanted to add more on the bowl because 1 wasn't enough. She said that if I added sauce on my bowl then I had to give her the ONE to go sauce back. I told her no because I only add sauce on the top of the bowl there and by the time I get to the middle of the bowl I like to add more since it gets dry. I grab the bottle again to add sauce to my bowl and she takes my to go sauce out of my bag. Unbelievable. read more

No serious complaints This is one of the better Flame Broilers in the area. There are quite a few and they range from terrible to great - this is a solid 3 star middle of the road location. They get the food right here. The meat is cooked, which is sad that I appreciate that, but I've been to a few where the beef and chicken were definitely undercooked. They make sure your bowl is packed with food. You won't go wrong with the good. The service is the biggest gripe - the asian lady that always seems to be working at the counter is less than friendly. She makes me feel like she's doing me the favor of taking my order. And I get tons of coupons from this location in the mail, but bring one in and it seems like her head will explode - I get the "How dare you try and save .50cents here?!" IF you can ignore that and just focus on the food, then this Flame Broiler will work just fine for you. read more

This is by far the best location I've been to. I order at least 3x a week and call in maybe 5 minutes ahead of my arrival... the duration of my order is always under 15 seconds. The owner is a fantastic lady who is always on point. To the comments below me about her looking irritated or not being friendly - you're out of your mind. I ordered 3 mini bowls and they were bowls full of perfect portions of rice, veggies and protein. Each mini bowl was less than $6!

First of all....don't go before 10:30a, I was hungry and eating sunflower seeds all morning wasn't cutting it so i held out until 10:30 and decided I better eat some real food. One of my friends at work said let's go eat.....and I said let's go! They suggested Flame Broiler and I've always wanted to try it so off we went. I had the 1/2 beef and 1/2 chicken plus medium drink for $6.46 (or something like that). If you wanted to exchange brown rice for white rice you could, just have to pay $1 extra (which is worth it for eating healthy) The bowl was enough food to fill me up, but if I'm ever starving, I'd go for one of the plates. The best thing I like about this place is they ask you if you want onions (they don't just put them off and expect you to take them off) and they don't put the sauce on for you, they have a dispenser of their Magic sauce and you can put on as much or as little as you want. How great is that....you don't have to ask for sauce on the side! 5 stars...the place was clean, plenty of parking (maybe cuz I went at 10:30) hahah and prices are decent. read more

It's "The Works" bowl, with an array of fresh-cut veggies -- seriously delicious -- and marinated chicken and beef, that's kept us fans during that time. I HATE cooked cabbage! I always order my bowl without the cooked cabbage. This is the ONLY Flame Broiler that has charged me 50cents to remove the cabbage from my bowl. That's right, they made me pay for food I'm not even going to eat. RIDICULOUS!!! Based on this alone, we won't be back. There's another Flame Broiler less than 3 miles away. My husband loves Flame Broiler and now he has me hooked! It's a good place to get a quick, healthy, flavorful meal. I like that they have all of the nutrition information posted right on the wall. This is the location that we always go to, and I like it. The employees are very nice, and it is always very clean. We never have to wait very long to for our order to be ready. Was looking for a place to eat for lunch and my coworker pointed Flame Broiler out as we were driving down Orangethorpe. Restaurant was fairly clean upon walking in and it was around lunch time. We did feel kind of rushed by the cashier as we were ordering, seems like she probably has an attitude. Food didn't take long to come out, I ordered a half and half bowl and my coworker had a chicken bowl. I added some jalapeños and some of the sauce they had sitting on the counter and it was great. The only thing I find a little difficult was that our bowls were so packed that its hard to mix the meat in with the rice. The rice is packed at the bottom and the meat is packed on top so its hard to mix it together. Food was very tasty but next time I will get it to go so I can bring it home to mix it in a bigger bowl or container. read more

First of all, I am HUGE fan of Flame Broiler. I love getting it after a hard workout because it's healthy and fresh. I moved right up the street and after a long day, I decided Flame Broiler would be convenient and satisfying. So down the hill I go and place my order, grab my hot sauce cups, sip on my diet soda, and patiently wait for my bowl. Soon enough, like usual, they announced my order is ready. When I took the first bite, the chicken was dry and odd tasting, not to mention gristly. At any rate, I ate what I could but was not impressed at all. It seemed the food was left out and not freshly cooked. I decided to give this location another shot a couple weeks later since it was right down the street and to no avail, this time was worse. This is a great restaurant. I always order the half and half bowl, the calorie guidelines are nearby if you are trying to be healthy. The food is quite delicious. The only problem, which I hadn't noticed until I went to other Flamebroilers', is that they charge you extra for brown rice. 50 cents isn't much, but of the 3 other Flamebroilers I've been to (Santa Ana, Anaheim Hills, and Alhambra) none of them charged extra for the brown rice. So if you want brown rice, don't be surprised by the slightly higher price. read more

A great alternative for lunch. They are quick, but not friendly when it comes to substitutions. That's okay because the menu is fine and you should be able to pick something you like. Unlike some other FB's this one usually doesn't have overly dry chicken. All in all a great lunch stop. read more
