Living in San Bernardino, there are only a couple of Korean food options around, so if you're craving Korean food and don't feel like driving far, Myung Ga will satisfy the craving. Some dishes are pretty good, while others are just okay. Their tofu soup is decent, but I think it needs more seasoning and a deeper, richer flavor. The banchan (Korean side dishes) are actually pretty good. Over the years, I've tried quite a few things here. The kimchi stew, bibimbap, and short ribs are some of the better choices. My least favorites have been the bulgogi, cold noodles, and kimchi pancake. Of course, everyone has different tastes, especially when it comes to Korean food. But to me, the cooking here feels a little old-school and could use an update to appeal more to the younger generation. I like Korean food with bold, deep flavors, and a lot of the dishes here taste too "seum-seum-ha-da" (슴슴하다) -- a Korean way of saying the food is mild, lightly seasoned, or a little bland.
