Was not even offered a drink try. Seemed irritated that I asked for a drink tray. 2. Food is horrible, they emphasize the "flame" by serving you charred pieces of protein. When asked if we could get a replacement, they said that all the meat would come charred because of the open flame. I've cooked over an open flame numerous and my food was charred just a handful of times. The burned pieces of chicken were covered by their "magic sauce" they drizzled on top to hide /mask it. The food is average at best. It's nothing to rave home about, but it IS fast and convenient if you're in a rush. This place is usually empty and there is almost never a line. The staff always look like they're background actors from Shaun of the Dead. Just standing there lifelessly, confirming your order with a mumble, then running through the motions. Must be a rough time working at Flame Broiler. Personally, I think that this place is expensive for what you get. A bowl of rice and some chicken / veggies for nearly $7? There are plenty of other places that do bowls for cheaper and much better. Maybe a further drive, but it's just a much better experience. I work nearby so I come here often, I come on my lunch break and sometimes come after work and pick up dinner for me and my kids. We love the food! They get my order right every time. I get the broccoli well done and my kids eat it all. They do give you a lot of rice which I feel is normal anywhere you get a chicken bowl, Plus I love the rice. I think they give a fair amount of chicken. I've been to other Flame Broilers and they weigh the chicken and I get less. read more

The food is not the same as other flame broilers. The beef tastes really old and rubbery. The rice and veggies are always barely warm or just plain cold. It is a convenient location for me so I went there plenty of times to confirm that this place is awful. There is never anyone when I go in there and I know why. The place is pretty dirty. The tables are disgusting, they are extremely sticky and there is always food on them. The workers there could care less for their job. All they do is stand around and talk not paying any attention to the customers or the food. The last time I went the girl was eating on the preparation area talking to the cook. Sticking her fingers in her mouth and everything. She obviously did not care that I was able to see her. I simply got my food and dumped it in the trash. Never going back the sanitary conditions are terrible. About a week later when I went to subway I noticed an extermination truck outside flame broiler. I am not surprised if they have nasty bugs crawling inside that place. read more

This was my first time eating at the San Dimas location. I ordered white chicken vege with no rice. I was so happy with the job they did. The chicken was clean, cut in large chunks. They were very generous with both the chicken and veges, not just piling in the cabbage for filler. Great job San Dimas Flame Broiler ! Wow I wanted to order a big lunch for the office Christmas party from flame broiler and pay with our company American Express card and the worker said no we can't help you as we don't take American Express! Wow just wow, what kind of business are they running here! Went to this location because it's close to my work. Wanted to use my points for a free drink. When the girl at the front told me my total it seemed a little high so I inquired as to whether I was being charged for the drink. She became very rude and told me that my order and total were fine. I have her my card and she proceeded to start talking to the next person ordering behind me. When I got my receipt I realized that I had been charged for the drink. After the line died down I asked her to refund my money for the drink because I had used my points (points were deducted from my phone). She angrily shoved the money into my hand. This was one of my worst experiences at flame broiler. I figured I'd give it a shot today over my normal wabba grill choice. The restaurant is very outdated , dirty tables and moderately clean floors. I'm most dissatisfied by the cashiers attitude. I was treated like I was doing something wrong by choosing this place for lunch. The tea hasn't been changed, the first sip you can tell. Icing on the cake was the cook scratching his stomach and proceeding to process my food. As a restaurant there are basic standards and this one fails on almost all aspects. I will definitely not be returning as a customer and would like to warn all who are considering this establishment for lunch to please just choose wabba grill down the street next to Costco. I was THAT cuztomer who showed up with less than 10mins before closing- In my defense, I didnt know until I walked in and saw that the employee was cleaning up for closing. I must have asked her (employee) three times that If it is to late and that it would be to much to cook up two bowls that I have no problem leaving because I had no idea how close it was til closing. All three times she told me it wasnt an issue at all and it isnt a problem to cook up two bowls. The reason I am writing this is because I know that after working all day and being so close to closing and cleaning everything up to have someone come in, it just sets everything back. Its a chain restaurant, the food is alright. I hadn't been to a Flame Broiler for about a year The service was typical of a Fast Food place, the food was alright. I had stopped coming mostly because the chicken was always very dry and tasteless. (and I prefer Waba Grill because of the Salmon) I came in during my break and had a chicken veggie bowl. It was good, the chicken was juicy and had a good flavor, the only thing i didn't like is that the "veggie" portion of my food was made up of two pieces of broccoli and the rest was cabbage. The place was nice and clean, but they had ran out of the Teriyaki sauce, and didn't have the variety of hot sauce that they have in other places. I would say Flame Broiler is average at most, and this particular location does not meet the standards. I always get a chicken veggie bowl with white meat, brown rice, and green onion which comes out to a little over $8.00. Pretty pricey for a fast food joint, and this is without a drink. The white meat request will require waiting an extra 4-5 minutes or so but it is really worth it. Now for the bad. This location just seems so dirty.. it feels like one of those video games where they mock a fast food joint with a bunch of typical stereotypes and this place feels just like one! The employees are not interested at all in working there. However, the chefs in the back are great! In addition, one of the doors doesn't work and there's a paper sign saying to use other door. Pet peeve is when places close earlier than their posted hours. Super unprofessional. I showed up before closing time posted on door yet they had just locked their doors. I don't think its that hard to just be reliable and stick with the hours you say you will be open. If you don't want to do that then change the hours you have posted. I try not to pig out every lunch, what with getting older every year and my metabolism starting to slow down, so It's nice to find a fast food place that you don't feel like you just downed a gallon of grease and can hardly move. The Flame Broiler fits that perfectly for when I'm on the go. For the most part, their menu is pretty basic; you can get two different sized bowls with rice and a combination of chicken, beef, or vegetables, or you can get a plate with more of the same. I stick with the bowl and go with brown rice, keeping the calorie count to around 600 and completely filling me up for the rest of the day. Unless I'm making lunch at home, it's pretty hard to get a decent, filling meal like that at say, McDonald's or any other quick stops. Plus, I don't hate myself for eating it afterwards. My kid loves this place! We come here for their rib plate and we were glad that they opened one in San Dimas! If only their customer service in this branch would improve. Maybe it's just this one time but the person who served us today, 8/25 at 5:43 pm, named Ally (server named on the receipt) didn't seem too happy seeing customers, like us. She looked like she hated being in this place. I know it's hard work, and all, but being in a service-oriented business, you should always welcome your customers like you appreciate their business. We chose a table that's closest to the corner, but it wasn't clean at all, with food grease all over it. I approached the server and asked if there's a wipe I can use to wipe off the table. She was kind enough to do this for me, but got a very dirty, grease-soaked towel and just sprayed it with their multipurpose cleaner. She hurried to do this without really cleaning the table and I had to wipe it off with a napkin so we don't get grossed out while eating. The whole time we were eating, there were flies. If cleanliness and good customer service aren't present, any business will fail especially in the food business. Please retrain your staff. I don't think a manager was present so I bet you'd appreciate this review. Oh and I found out why there were flies inside. They have to keep the doors open. I'm not sure why. read more

Before I can put my change in my pocket, I look up to see one of the cooks pull the front of his shirt up to wipe the swear off his face, exposing his hairy belly over the food. Then after wiping his sweat, he goes back to handling food without washing his hands. I immediately asked for my money back and left. Went there tonight with an advertisement coupon but found the price on the coupon was lower than the menu price in the restaurant. When I complained about the coupon as "bait and switch" the manager agreed to give me a special price below the in store menu because of the error. I was very pleased. All business make mistakes but how they correct the mistake is a real measure of customer service. This was excellent customer service. The food was also very good. Two stars due to convenience and quality of the food. However, over the last year this place is lacking is quality of employees and service level. We take our business associates there for lunch meetings and they are continually messing up simple lunch bowls; simply due to continuous chatter and unprofessional attitude. Having fun at work is great unless it's impacting the efficiency of the business. We have stopped visiting as frequently since George's absence. Today I walked in for a to go order and heard inappropriate / foul language from the cooks, a cashier who was very unfriendly, and a messed up order once again. It's very disappointing!
