Dispicible customer service and childish sarcasm. I was pretty upset to hear all the loud cussing coming from the kitchen. When I calmly explained to the staff that their other customers were trying to pray over their food during their loud cussing, the employee originally said he was sorry. As soon as I stepped away, he started saying "censorship-beep-beep" over and over. I went back and told him being censored at work is better than being fired, and that I thought he should be. He, I think he said his name is Gerardo, but I was upset and may not have remembered his name, challenged me to call the owner. Now I'm challenging the owner to contact me, and to address the character problems with his staff and management. It's very clear nobody is running this business. read more

My coworker and I didn't know what to eat today,so we went here because it never goes wrong. Well today we were very disappointed! We both ordered the chicken veggie bowl lunch special. We get to work and both notice that the bowls weren't filled as usual! It looked as much as we would get in a mini. Second the taste of the chicken was off... missing flavor, the veggies tasted like they were washed in dirty sink water! I found this gem after a long morning/afternoon hike in Claremont trail. I was starving and yelped the nearest location on my way to Azusa. I was taken back right as I stepped in the door smelled great floor tables where clean. I ordered my food from the cashier and he was very courteous and friendly. I found out latter that he was in fact the owner and was hustling and busing tables to clear them off and wipe them down. Brought food to the table and at the end asked how was the food. I used to really love this place!! I stopped coming here for awhile and just recently started coming back.. Ive been back three times this past week, and every time i ordered a chicken bowl w white meat brown rice, I must say, for $8.34 a bowl, its been a HUGE disappointment.. Every time I've received my bowl its been half near empty.. Its like they give u one scoop of brown rice and spread it around at the bottom of the bowl.. The girl in the back with short red hair not sure if she's a manager but she's so rude she was telling off the cashier in front of all the customers in the dining room.. very unprofessional. I love that they serve tofu. I like getting half tofu and half chicken. Its hard to find places that cook tofu the way I like it and this place does a good job at it. Usually isn't too busy or crowded. Always friendly staff. read more

I go to this flame broiler a lot cause it's nearby and every time I'm in there I've seen the manager treating his employees terribly. The working environment seems ridiculously toxic and I am very sad to see these kids there being treated with such disrespect. This location is a trash hole. The owner does not care about any standards. Walked in today and the room was filled with smoke. Apparently the vents dont work properly and the owner is too cheap to fix it. Also the door has been broke for over a year. The floors are always filthy. This place is just not kept clean. The quality of the food has gone down as well. I got the Angus and it was dry and over cooked. I will not be returning to this location ever again. read more

there was a new employee who didn't know the POS system very well, clearly wasn't taught properly (not his fault). he was struggling using a coupon (which didn't have a bar code) towards the purchase which is totally understandable. and a woman came out to "help" him and raised her voice incredibly loud in front of several customers and belittled him and spoke to him as if he was stupid. the POS complications didn't ruin my experience, the handling of the situation from the authoritative figure did. read more

I enjoy Flame Broiler, I really enjoy the food and I don't see myself leaving Flame Broiler anytime soon. Today, at this location I just had to leave my review. I showed up maybe 40 minutes before closing. I was greeted by one of the staff, I believe his name was Julio. I placed my order and thought nothing of it. That was until I heard the cook! Wow. She was obviously frustrated. I don't know if it was because she had to cook a fresh batch of meat for the few customers in the restaurant (she let everyone know she was cooking new meat and that our order would take a while) but she seemed to be taking it out on Julio and in a rude way; loud enough for customers to hear. I'm pretty sure Julio was new on the job, but custom service wise he was great. As I left I heard the cook telling Julio that he will never make it. Personally, that's not good teamwork and that's no way to talk to anyone. Anyways, the food is great, the cook not so much. read more

I just came back from this San Dimas location, I asked "Ally" a few questions about the chicken veggie bowl, if I could get the veggies put separately. She said that costs extra so I just ordered the regular chicken bowl. Apparently, this angered her or she just doesn't have customer service skills because not once did she say thank you! After I paid and she gave me change, not one word so I said "thank you" thinking it might remind her. Nope! She prepared the chicken bowl and gave it to me, again not one word! Got my order wrong and they charged me doubled. When I brought this to their attention they randomly gave me $5 back without calculating the extra tax they charged me on the higher, incorrect, price. When I told them I needed .36cents back, they gave me .30cents back...and this was done by the so-called manager. I haven't been a big fan of Flame Broiler and after this last visit, I don't think I'll ever spend my money here again. First off, let me say this, it's pricey! Considering how small the bowls are, and based on this last visit, the quality of the food was not worth the price. I had brown rice, which was good, but the meat was tough and seemed stale. Second, the place was filthy! I didn't notice at first, but my husband pointed out that that was the dirtiest restaurant he'd seen in a long time. The floors were black and sticky. My family took up three tables and they too were dirty and super sticky. Third, the restroom was out of order. During our meal, the employees pulled out the old toilet and carried it through the restaurant past patrons. They carried in the new toilet back the same way. The restroom door was open while they worked and to be honest, it kind of grossed me out. I wondered if they have a back door like most places to carry in any type of shipment?? I personally didn't like seeing toilets in the main eatery, I've never seen anything like that before. I gave three stars because the employees were nice. For being a fast food eatery, they would come up and ask if we were okay and were pleasant with my children. read more
