ONE STAR - A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE This place was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The food was horrible. Cold, tasteless, and honestly inedible. Nothing came out fresh or even warm. For a restaurant that pretends to be upscale, the food quality was insulting. The seating situation is pure hell. Tables are crammed so tightly together that you can't move your chair, let alone breathe. It's overcrowded to an unsafe level. They clearly shove tables and chairs into every possible inch just to pack people in and rip them off. We were charged upfront for our reservation on new years Eve, and were told the program would start at a specific time. When we arrived on time, there was NO table for us at all. Instead, they shoved a tiny table meant for maybe two people into the middle of the dance floor and expected four adults to sit there like a joke. To make it worse, the manager, a woman named Mostashari, along with a couple of the waiters, were extremely rude, aggressive, and unprofessional. Rather than fixing the situation, they pushed us out of the restaurant, escalated things, and we literally had to call 911 because of how hostile it became. This was not just bad service. It was chaotic, unsafe, and disrespectful. Never, ever waste your time or money at this place. Our party of nine came here at around 5:30pm on a Thursday night and were able to get seated right away. The service was so friendly and attentive! Loved the complimentary fresh veggies and bread/butter. For appetizers, we got Taddig (x2), Kashk, Mast-o-Khiar (yogurt), Hummus, Shirazi Salad (x2). All the entrees are HUGE so prepare to have leftovers. I ordered Chicken Barg Kabob for mine and it was delicious. As someone who is Persian and has had his fair share of Persian food in the city, this is hands down one of my favorites. This is your local restaurant that's no frills. It's been here for as long as I can remember and relied upon by many. It's cozy and casual and has that family feel. While I normally come here for family dinners, I decided to give the lunch a go and loved the specials with a friend. Pictured is the regular sized portion of the koobideh but my friend did get the lunch size and it was enough for her. To start, we ordered the kashkh-e-bademjan. If you come to a Persian restaurant and not order this appetizer you're doing it wrong. Try being a bit adventurous and dip the bread in and enjoy. I really do love their beef koobideh, it's juicy and tender cooked to perfection. I love adding some sumac all over the plate and mixing in the grilled tomato. read more

They had an appetizer table which i tried their yogurt with cucumber, hummus, and baba ghanoush; it was delish! i came back for seconds. The main course has beef, chicken, salmon, and luleh. I've never left negative reviews, but I feel this experience deserves to be shared. My family and I recently visited this restaurant, and while the food itself was okay, the restaurant was noticeably dirty, several of the chairs had white hairs on them, almost as if a dog had been shedding there. On top of that, we had a very unpleasant encounter with Mrs. Mostashari, who I've been told is the owner's wife. While my toddler did walk and run around a bit, I was always right there beside him, keeping a close eye and making sure he wasn't disturbing anyone or in any danger. Despite this Mrs. Mostashari came over and very rudely told me to "keep your child next to your table because customers will complain and it's dangerous." I fully understand the need to maintain safety and respect for other guests, but the way it was handled was unprofessional and unnecessarily harsh. A polite reminder would have been more than enough. If this restaurant does not want toddlers to walk around at all, they should make that clear on their website or policies and state that children are not welcome. Instead, families are made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome in the moment. Between the poor cleanliness and Mrs. Mostashari's attitude, this was a very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, we will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place for families. read more

I requested it well-done, and it was the perfect char and still juicy. The yogurt with cucumber was perfect and flavorful. They give you unlimited *toasted* pita bread, and the portions are large. My boyfriend and I came here on a saturday afternoon for some hookah and food. Upon walking in, we were greeted by the owner who was warm and friendly. Amir was our server, and he made us an amazing hookah. He also recommended the lamb chop dish, which we both enjoyed. The owner and Amir both checked in on us throughout our meal and made us feel well taken care of. I've eaten better food handed out for free at funerals. Ambiance was too loud and crammed. You did your best to rip off as many people as you could by packing us in. This was a fire violation hazard since there was no path for elderly people with wheelchairs and walkers, in case of emergencies. The owner knows 99% of the guests were older than 80 and he took advantage of elderly people. You're a cheap and greedy jerk and don't deserve anything more than one star until you learn to improve your customer service and food. read more

This place is run by thieves with shady business practices. I've been here before and thought the food was good so I on this venue for our corporate party. The owner named Perris said she would charge $120/pp including tax and tip. Well when the check came they charged us for more than the amount of people we had and added thr tax and tip separately. I feel bad for the lovely woman Nela who worked our event. Overall the service was non existent because there was one person running around doing the set up and serving for 30 ppl. We needed AV equipment for our event but lo and behold, on the day of the event, nothing was set and I basically had to play techie the whole night trying to figure out how to get thr mic to work. When I complained of the lack of service and readiness, both the little manager Amir and Perris were combative and said there was nothing wrong. They charged us for 35 people but brought enough food for only 20. The bar was dingy and dirty and the table smelled like rags. A bunch of hoodlums work this place, I'm never coming back here and definitely would not recommend it for anyone trying to throw and event here. Terrible service and terrible business owners, disorganized and dirty. The chefs probably don't even wash their hands when prepping. Stay away. read more

My go-to dish is Koobideh combo , bread is super good . Dips includes kshk W Bademjan ( eggplants with yogurt and crumbled fried onions) , Shirazi Salad, Maasto Khiyar ( cucumber with yogurt) are my favorites, Hummus can be better . The service is friendly and waiters are so helpful. However when it gets busy you should expect a slower service and some mistakes here or there with your orders. This was my first Persian restaurant in the Westwood area, and I came with two of my friends who were visiting from out of state. The vibes here truly fit authentic Iranian restaurant as it looked very similar to restaurants we had previously been to in Iran (including the flies flying around lol). Very hot, very fresh sangak was brought out soon after we were seated. It was so delicious that we ate two baskets. The second basket came after a gentleman, who I assume was the owner, checked in on us to make sure we were doing okay. We ordered house dooogh to start and immediately had them brought to us. By immediate, I mean our server Amin rannn to the kitchen to put in the order and had it in front of us within a minute. My friends ordered Soltani, and I got the Koobideh Combo. The food was delicious with huge portions. Instead of white rice, I got half salad and half baghali polo, which was very good. NOTE: Lunch portion is enough for two meals. All in all, service and food were 10/10. I just wish they had the chicken tahchin (they only had lamb when I went), but this now gives me an excuse to come back and hopefully get it. read more
