The food is great, except for the fries. I mean, they were okay, but I'm special about my fries. These are like fatter than, say, in-n-out's fries, and i prefer thinner fries. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and it was great! But the place itself is, to say the least, a dump. All of the seats and tables are in terrible shape, and I am not sure if they are ever cleaned. I cringed all over the place while I was trying to finish my food, but I was too far into my meal to migrate elsewhere. Anyway, my point is, if you want to eat here, sure, do it--it's good food! I've been here a bunch of times and I come for the Flames breakfast burrito because it's delicious and I love it. However I can't give this place 5 stars because the drive thru service is usually awful. I've spent 25 minutes sitting there waiting with only 2 people in front of me . And i wouldn't be that mad about it if the people that work the drive thru acted like they even cared. I love Flames! I live in the area so I've been coming here since I was in high school. The inside and decor might be rough around the edges but the food for me is amazing plus I think they been slowly redoing the place anyways. I mostly drive through though and it's usually not that long of a wait, most of the time I go I'm the only car driving through or occasionally one other car in line. I normally love getting the number two and a side of ranch (does cost cents extra but it's the bomb thicc ranch and not that liquid hidden valley crap). The mozzarella cheese sticks are amazing here as well. The staff to me have always been courteous and nice so it's surprising to hear some of the negative reviews but I'm not here to bash other reviews. I just like this local mom and pop shop burger joint. The price is beyond fair. It's crazy to know that a burger combo from here is cheaper than a fast food chain combo and you get way better quality food. Both the fries and burgers are massive compared to the wimpy stuff you get at McDonalds or Jack in the Box. Does kinda suck about the atm charge but plan ahead cause it's worth it. I used to live in the street behind flames. I would go there just for fries sometimes. The management changed and the burgers did too. They're still good but it's not the juicy thick burger I remember. The fries are still the best and the breakfast burritos are delicious. Decent price. I took my kids there and got them a quesadilla I didn't ask for "no chile" which was my fault but you would think when you say "and for the kids I'll get them a quesadilla" you assume no chile or would ask and mention it has it. read more

We spent $60 here, and we were greeted with terrible service. The cashier (tall, skinny guy, dark hair) was snapping at us, raising his voice. The hour + long wait was somewhat understandable because we ordered so much food - but he threw the bags of food at us. I started to check our order and he told us to check it outside. I jumped when I saw roaches on the counter on my way out. There were two burgers missing and a quesadilla was missing. I went back in to tell him, but he wouldn't give us our missing food because we checked it outside - even though he told us to go outside to check it. When I first moved to the area, I thought wouldn't it be great to find a nice hole in the wall place when on my way home to get some good old fashioned hamburgers etc.... Food 5-star. Service Poor. I live in the neighborhood and this place should be getting all my fast food business. I LOVE their burgers. But the staff and the attitude has turned me off and I'm not going back. I believe everybody can have a bad day, but this is 3 times now that the staff, I'm talking THREE different guys behind the counter, have a chip on their shoulder. The first time I went the only person saying please and thank you was me. No niceness behind the counter, but the burger was outstanding. Another day when I called with a question about when they started serving burgers I had to repeat my question three times and after the guy said in perfect English, "Yes, we are serving burgers right now" he hung up on me. No thank you, no good bye. So I drive over to order a burger to go, again no smiling, and suspicious, curt treatment. When my burger was ready, they called me to the counter and another guy repeated my order which was not right. I had requested no cheese and this was a cheeseburger with bacon. So I said, "No that's somebody else." There were two other women in the restaurant at the time. So I patiently walked back to a table to wait. Another guy calls me back. "There's your order" he says. I said, "No, that's a bacon cheeseburger, it's not mine," He says, "Yes it is." That's when I realize the other guy is smirking. It's a big joke to him. He deliberately lied to screw with me, and I knew he was lying because HE HAD COOKED THE BURGER. I was his idea of a joke. Only I'm not laughing. I work hard for my money. I give respect and please and thank you to people who serve me. When I walk back to my job you bet I have to serve others. So it's back to In 'N Out for me, where the burgers are more expensive and not as good as Flames, but I know I will be treated with respect and dignity. You can't put a price on respectful, cheerful servce. Flames management needs to pay atttention, clean house, and get some customer service training in there. This review is not on the quality of their food, but on their customer service and website. I placed an order via web, and when I went to pick it up they said that it wasn't made because they didn't know what to make. At this point I'm thoroughly confused. I asked him to let me know what he needs confirmation with and that's when he said he needed to know how we wanted the eggs cooked and what kind of toast we wanted (none of this is available on the website). I then asked why he did not call the number provided for clarification. Keep in mind, this whole time he was telling me it's not their/his fault, when he admittedly said that the website is incorrect, which makes it their fault. So finally after clarification my order was placed. It was not until the food was ready that he apologized and offered to give me a drink for free. Please do not use website to order, just call in and deal with the loud background noise and them screaming to repeat your order because they cannot hear you. read more
