    Havarti Shroom burger
    Monica C.

Visited The Stand for a burger and it was delicious! I ordered the Havarti Shroom burger and I enjoyed that they added plenty of sauce, cooked to my preference, and loved the bun. They have many sauces you can choose from, which is always a plus for me. I wasn't paying attention but this burger does not come with lettuce, tomato, etc., so I would ask for that to be added next time. They have really great pickles that are packaged, in a plastic container, at the counter for you to grab. You do have to ask for napkins as they are not out anywhere and don't come with your meal, which was very odd to me. Service was fast and friendly and I would visit again!

    Cobb Salad

I would give it 4.5 stars if that was an option because I generally like this place. I usually get the chimichurri steak salad (which I love) but deviated today and grabbed the Cobb Salad. I liked the Cobb salad except I didn't understand why they dumped so much red cabbage in it. The rest of the salad ingredients were pretty balanced except the exorbitant amount of red cabbage. I had to rate it as a 4 due to this visit. It was not fun having to pick out half of the salad. Their flavors of their special drinks rotate and today they had the blueberry lemonade and cucumber & mint aqua Fresca. We're a fan of the blueberry lemonade. Service was great. They bus the table. We grabbed a table that was freshly vacated so it was still dirty. There were no problems flagging an employee down to help us wipe it. I didn't catch his name but he was very kind throughout our entire visit as he checked on us. This place can get very busy. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It was 86 degrees today so we opted for indoor seating. Because it is an open concept, it can get pretty loud when it's packed. If you have kids that are easily overstimulated, I would recommend bringing some sort of noise cancelling headphones. They premix the dressing on all the salads. So if you like to control your own dressing be sure to ask for it on the side. They usually have some special burger on rotation. On this visit they had a red curry chicken sandwich. It looked good and I was intrigued. Overall it's a good place to grab some lunch or dinner and maybe her to Dave & Busters next door.

My husband had the stand Burger and I have the curry chicken burger lettuce wrap. Service was very friendly and very fast. It's very clean and the restaurant and clean bathrooms. They bring the food to you after you order and they also clear your table. The best thing I love is that unlimited and less variety of sauces that you can get for your fries and your burger I really love that. My curry chicken sandwich was delicious my husband's Burger was also delicious this is a great place I can't wait to come back love it here

Went on a Friday for late dinner, I was craving a chili cheese dog and this place did not disappoint! We also ordered the chili cheese fries. My husband had the French onion soup burger which was so unique and delicious! The food was great and wasn't greasy too heavy. I also had the cookies and cream milks shake which was amazing. We will be back!

Chain of fast food restaurants, serving up very common set of food categories, with higher end prices, but having unusual varieties executed very well. My wife and I were going to see an early movie screening at the Regal Edwards in Long Beach Towne Center, and decided to stop in here for an early dinner before the show (Towne Center has plenty of parking). Got some good recommendations from friend reviews, so knew what we wanted. It's a fast food set-up, where you order and pay after standing a queue (no self-serve kiosk that I could see). They will deliver the food to you (given a numbered table tent that you bring back to your table). It was delivered in 10 minutes, freshly prepared. Everything was excellent. French Onion Soup Burger ($13.25) - I'm a big fan of French Onion Soup, but finding most versions in restaurants to be very disappointing. And...gourmet burgers disappoint, in (almost) all cases making me wish for a classic backyard burger instead for a cheaper price. So with these two thoughts in my head, really lowered by expectations, even after a strong Yelp recommendation. It exceeded: It's the first time I've eaten a burger like a French Dip, dipping it in Au Jus before every bite, and it was marvelous. And with the Guruyere cheese and the gourmet hamburger bun, it WAS the taste of a really good french onion soup. The broth was good enough to be a soup by itself. Not really sure why this isn't more common in other gourmet restaurants. Chili Cheese Fries ($5.40) - the skin-on fries were perfectly deep-fried, and the beanless beef chili was plentiful. Very filling, shareable across two for even the regular size. WIsh there was more shredded cheese, or even go overboard and suggesting to use nacho cheese instead (my personal preference). Strawberry Shake ($6.50) - with real whipped cream, my wife and I both immediately agreed this was near the top of strawberry shakes we've had, better than other fast casual places that specialize in it (Johnny Rocket's or Steak and Shake). It obviously used real ice cream, and the strawberry flavor wasn't overpowering (which makes me think strawberry syrup wasn't used). And the thick (tasted freshly whipped) cream just brought it over the top. And a simple thing like giving a boba straw is a nice touch. Weirdly, there are signs stating that employees will bus, even though it is set-up for self-bussing (which is what we and others did). Soda drinks are self-serve, allowing us to refill our small water glasses multiple times. They also have a pretty large beer and wine menu, with 'The Stand' branded choices (at slightly lower prices of course). If you download and sign up via their custom phone app, you will be given enough points for a free order of their excellent fries. 'The Stand' took over the space of a big restaurant before, so there is a lot of seating especially out in the big gated patio. There are a ton of other items on the menu that we will try in the future when in the area, on a day when my wife is a bit more hungry.

If you're looking for a good fast casual burger spot, The Stand has you covered. They have a good selection of burgers (will cook them medium), sandwiches, salads, and bowls plus some great side options! I tried the jalapeno bacon burger which was very good and the meyer lemon broccoli rabe which was honestly a game changer in fast food vegetables! Service is fast and friendly.

I craved Stand onion rings so I decided to go to have signature burger w onion rings for early dinner. First, the service and quality were same. Second, so clean. The price changed a little higher but still good for the quality, service, and ambiance. Onion rings are always super crunchy, what is top secret of crunchyness at the Stand???? Love it dipping spicy honey mustard. The stand burger was same. The bun was so good, all the ingredients were fresh, tasted better w xtra cheddar cheese $1. My hubby's black beer called dark star, was almost Guiness beer taste. He loved it. Beer is $7.50. We love the Stand for the quality, fresh ingredients, and great service. I got more app rewards to redeem next time...plus discount promo coupon. Great deal!!!

Veggie Bliss Burger (sub pretzel bun)
    Melanie G.

Went on a Friday around 7pm and it was moderately busy but the food still came out in a reasonable time. Nothing remarkable about the staff. I got the veggie bliss burger with the aioli on the side and subbed the bun for a pretzel bun. I didn't mind but they didn't include the sauce on the side at all. The pretzel bun was soft and chewy. The black bean burger was hearty and flavorful. It's topped with crispy onions, pickled onions and guacamole which all contribute great flavor and texture! Their guac is good and creamy and the crispy onions are well salted. Overall, a great veggie burger and for under $12, that's pretty good nowadays!

We love coming to The Stand! Food and service are always spot on! It reminds me of the diners we grew up with, burgers, shakes, grilled cheeses but with a modern flair. We got our two usual sandwiches - The Stand Burger with Blue Cheese and the Short Rib Grilled Cheese. We ordered the side of onion rings, so good with their Ranch dip! We also really like their chips! Just fountain drinks today but I highly recommend their shakes! They also offer beers on tap! Definitely download the app. You earn points. Points are used towards food. Most visits I get dollars off our order. Today was $5 off! You can also order you food to go or dine in from the app but when dining in, I like to order at the register instead. Lots of booths and tables inside and tables outside. The staff is constantly busing and cleaning the tables. Nice to have your food brought to you table and your table bused!

This mostly California chain (20 locations in California and one random location one in Texas), is a place that will be on our list of go-to's from now on. Not only do they have a bunch of delicious burgers, There are salads, hot dogs, bowls with salmon and chicken steak, lots of kinds of sandwiches, shakes, floats, and desserts. On top of that they also have a pretty big menu of craft beers and wine. Pretty good for a counter service restaurant! We came to the Long Beach location and it was absolutely packed, which meant it was very loud. There are some booths, some tables, and a long row of high top tables. There's also a really nice patio. There isn't much to the decor except some menu items in light running around the top of the walls. We were pretty basic, ordering three burgers and a falafel wrap. We also ordered the house need potato chips and an order of fries. All were really good. This place is only a around a mile from FIL's house, so I see is coming back often. Good food at a decent price!

Was in the mood was something a little lighter than one of their awesome burgers. As a member of their rewards program I had received a coupon for $3 off any entree, so we headed over for an early dinner bite. They are only about a mile away from home, in the LB Towne Center shopping/restaurant/theater complex. Hubby got our favorite item, the havarti mushroom burger, with a side of onion rings. I opted one of the bowls, which I had been wanting to try. They also offer sandwiches, salads and wraps. Our order came with a little pickle "appetizer", (which had a hint of garlic and were quite good) and our food was brought to the table when it was ready. It was prepared without too long of a wait. The restaurant was fairly quiet when we arrived at 4:15 but steadily got busier while we dined. The burger was rich and tasty, as always. The jalapeño aioli is a luscious and decadent addition to it. The onion rings were crisp and flavorful. I made a few changes to my Tex-Mex steak bowl when ordering, and I appreciated the ability to do that easily. I subbed 1/2 of the wild rice for romaine lettuce, and opted for the chipotle crema on the side. That sauce turned out to have quite a kick!! I used only a little, as the bowl had jalapeños in it, and I am a little wimpy when it comes to chili peppers! The pickled onions were delightful, and the other ingredients- guacamole, corn salsa, rice, tortilla strips, lettuce and cilantro all went well together. The chunks of steak were nicely grilled, not outstanding flavor but good. It had a lot of rice even with 1/2 of it subbed, so I took that home along with the Leftover sauce and pickles. The restaurant and restroom were clean and staff was always working, cleaning or helping customers. I like that they have consistently good food, promos and I earn points on the app toward discounts and free food items.

Back to the great place for the premium burgers, onion rings, and beers. My wife got sick and she wanted to eat her fave, onions rings dipped spicy honey mustard. We are back to eat their stand burgers, onion rings, and my beers. We loved the consistent quality of onion rings and burgers. My wife said, this was my fave, onion rings, here. She was really happy. Ambiance was same like before, service was always friendly. I give 5 stars for the service, quality, and ambiance. The beer price was up, $7.50. Always fresh, flavorful. My wife used the stand App reward for today's promo $5 off over $20. We love the rewards. Keep checking the promo coupon for the tip.

The pineapple added to what's basically a Cuban style sandwich sounds different at first, but it works perfectly. The balance of sweet, savory, crispy, and smoky was spot on. Ended up finishing the whole thing because it was that good. Service was friendly, food came out quick, and the whole spot had a really chill local vibe. The server (owner?) asked if we wanted cheese and Cole slaw, and that's how we got it. The sandwich was big enough to share so if the sandwich seems pricey, consider sharing. Although on a hungry day, I could probably eat it all with no problem. Dilly's has a fairly decent amount of craft beers on draft. I wasn't in a beer-drinking mood so I didn't look too closely at the list. I love it when restaurants support local brewers, and this looks like the kind of place that would do just that.

Heard about Dilly's Sandwiches having the most unique rotating set of beers on tap in Long Beach,…read moreso had to come to try it. The taste portions were very reasonably priced, allowing to create your own flight (or two). Specifically scheduled an early afternoon to come to the Lakewood Village neighborhood of East Long Beach. My wife found an angled parking spot right in front. It wasn't too crowded inside and the four of us found easy, comfortable seating in the brightly decorated dining room. One places and pays for the order at the counter, with the proprietors being very friendly and engaged. They brought out our beers after the pour, and the sandwiches a bit after (since each is individually carefully made). Beers: - Northern Lager [Oxbow] - ($5 for 13oz pour) was clean, crisp and a hoppy aftertaste. - Infinite Hotel [The Wayfinder X Bierstadt] (marked as $3 but charged $4) is a rice lager and was the favorite of the group for its drinkability - Winteruption [JK's Farmhouse] ($3) is a cider with very strong maple syrup overtones: never tasted anything like it. - Hyper Paradise [Rare Barrel] ($4) - saison and ale with mango and passion fruit. I liked this beer very much. - A Place Like Home [Pure Project] ($3) - Nitro poured Extra Special Bitter. - Double Negative [Grimm] ($4) - Imperial Stout, which I really enjoyed. - Amongst Friends [Sante Adairius] ($4) - a cherry saison, unusual and was glad to sample. A lot of work was put into creating this flight, with the careful pours and markings to make sure I knew what was what. I really appreciated the opportunity to sample all of these on-tap. In terms of the food, the group as a whole really liked them, though I guess I wasn't as impressed with my two samples, mainly because it used non-descript deli meat in OK quantities, heating them up when necessary. Hot Beef ($18) was my wife's, and it had been griddled with cheese to form a crispy lattice. The Ham and Cheese ($16) was served cold and had potato chips inside which my mother-in-law liked (saving the other half for home). Our friend and I split the Hot Turkey ($16) and Pastrami No 19 style ($20). The pastrami meat was piled high and the cole slaw was crisp and good, but was served cold (should have read the description more closely) and mediocre rye bread broke apart quickly. The Hot Turkey ($16) was served on ciabatta that had been grill pressed for a long time, creating a wonderful crust as good as any sandwich I've had. But the filling was OK, using standard turkey breast slices from a loaf and an ok stuffing...using hand carved turkey would have made a big difference here, but understand it's hard to do. Strangely, even though it's a pickle adorned shop, each sandwich just came with an ordinary pickle spear, what one would expect from a diner, not a deli. And the prices are on the higher side, especially with no sides and most not being particularly ginormous. But I loved how each sandwich used different breads, and how some of them were toasted very well. And having the opportunity to try these unique beers made it a really good experience.
