This spot wax Pacific Star local burger spot now it Ftiscis carhop inspired not sure if you can order from your car like true carhop. i've done drive thru and dine in. Each time no issues keep in mind it's fairly new working out the kinks. I've gotten pancakes plate and burgers. It's been good m.

I was worried this place would be more style over substance, but everything was delicious! Not only is the interior super cute, the service is top notch, and the food tasted fresh and high quality. I had a smashed burger with grilled onions and it reminded me of In-N-Out's animal style burger- but better! The zucchini fries with parmesan are incredible too. Also, I think it's pretty cool they have their own custom cane sugar sodas, along with coffee and iced tea. Of course, the decor is beautiful with the candy-colored pink and blue booths, so it's a pleasant experience all around. I wanna go back already.

I am so happy we have this location in the Long Beach / Lakewood area! I've known about Friscos for a while, it's been on my list for years. I finally went to the one in Whittier and then got the great news that this one was opening up (I literally went to the Whittier location for the first time and then this location opened up about a month later) I've came here on days where I'm trying to be good for their salads and I've came here on days when I want to be bad for their delicious strawberry milkshakes. They have up close parking in a private parking lot. They also have a drive thru (do not complain about it taking a while. This isn't truly a fast food restaurant. It's not McDonalds). This location is a LOT smaller than the one in Whittier. It's still the same theme and color scheme. They have the cute pink and blue booths but not the old classic car theme booths. They also have cute signs lit up on the walls. Since being open I've been to this location more than a few times. I'd say the first two didn't go very smooth because they just opened. But other staff stepped up and stepped in to help out their fellow workers You order up at the counter, they give you a number and then they bring it to you. On all the days I've came they did have the classic car hop girl on roller skates bring our food out. when you're done, no need to clear your own table. Staff and signs tell you to leave it Staff is really good at keeping the booths clean. On their website it explains their story. This restaurant was opened by, Takis Stathoulis, a Greek immigrant and his wife opened their first restaurant in the early 1980s and has been a locally owned by their family ever since They have their own craft soda. You serve yourself at the soda fountain drink area (they do have one diet soda) They have a large breakfast menu, they have a lot of different sides such as fries (they have chili cheese fries, fries with other toppings, regular fries and curly fries), onion rings and the zucchini sticks are great here. Also, don't forget the homemade ranch dressing Portions are extremely generous. Prices do add up. But again, this isn't true fast food even though they have a drive thru I think it's safe to say I will keep returning here whenever I want an easy lunch or a little treat. I highly suggest their root beer float. This place does get busy at peak hours. I really don't know why the low rating. If you are craving some good old fashion diner food, I highly recommend (especially topped off with all their sweet treats) P.S. the salads come with delicious pita bread

Frisco Carhops (Lakewood) has a really cool atmosphere that feels like a fun mix of old school and new age. The food didn't hit for me though. The meat was noticeably too salty, and while the fries were okay, nothing stood out enough to save the meal. What I did enjoy was the drinks and dessert side of things. Their crafted sodas were flavorful and felt like they actually put thought into them, and I love that they use Thrifty ice cream. That said, the service timing was strange, because the ice cream and shake took a very long time, even longer than the food. Overall, it's a cool spot for the vibe and drinks, but the food and wait time kept it from being a repeat for me.

Finally got a chance to try this place out after this lot had been vacant for a couple of months. Wasn't really sure what to expect since the location is so small, but I guess they made it work somehow lol. There's not a lot of seating inside so depending on the time you go, you might have to wait a while to get a seat. We ordered a cheeseburger with double meat double cheese for my kids to share and my husband and I shared their Frisco Hickory Cheeseburger with double meat double cheese. We also got a side order of onion rings and curly fries. Surprisingly, the portions were pretty good. I don't think I would've been able to finish the whole thing by myself. Burgers could've used more sauce in them. It was a bit dry. But their fries were delicious. Overall, we wouldn't mind coming back and trying out more items from the menu. I just wish they would add more sauce on their burgers so it's not so hard to eat lol.

Came in to eat inside and my 5 year old was so happy! He had an amazing experience watching the server on roller skates and the young lady at the front gave each of my kids a paper car and they were all so happy! But just an FYI fries are extra for kids meal and it doesn't say it on the menu. But will be back!

The service was amazing and prompt. I enjoy the 50s theme along with the car themed booths, it really adds to ambiance. As for the food, I really enjoyed the Cruiser Fries, especiallywith ranch. They were perfectly seasoned, cheesy and had plenty of yummy bacon. I think the pastrami was so-so. It had plenty of meat, pickles, and mustard on the sandwich, but I have had better tasting pastrami and I felt it was missing something. It felt very flat. The sodas are good but overly sweet. Even the diet soda had a root beer taste and tasted like it had an abundance of sugar in it. I will be back, I just don't know how soon because I do not live in the area. When I do return, I want to try one of their several burgers.

I'm happy to say that I'm upgrading my previous 3 star review to 4 stars. I wanted something quick to eat after spending 3 days in San Diego cause I did not have the energy or time to cook. I opted for drive thru and service was quick and easy. They were very thorough in ensuring my order was correct before leaving the intercom. While at the payment window, you can see they had a very clean and organized work station. The double cheese smash burger w/ the sourdough cheese bread definitely satisfied my taste buds. I also got some parmesean zucchini fries which were great especially with the ranch dressing. I'm definitely going to visit again to try there chili cheese fries. My foodie friend got the Frisco chicken sandwich which which I tried. It was decent but I would prefer a crispy chicken patty over grilled.

Still in soft opening mode for sure but was glad we stopped by and can't wait to try again. We came on a Sunday at 1:50 and there was a line but manageable. Service was speedy and we ordered and ate in an hour. Timing on food seems like it is a bit off. Fried food was delicious but burger was a little room temp and got soggy. We tried the Frisco smash burger which comes on their signature sourdough parm crusted bread. We liked the sauce and overall flavor. The meat to bread ratio seemed off and would get a double next time. As noted prior it was a bit cold and sauce made the toasted bread a bit soggy, but liked the flavors enough to give it another shot. Pastrami sandwich was great, best ever... no. Great for a craving and for the 10.99 price, hell yes! Would order again! Onion rings and Parmesan zucchini were both amazing! They are freshly made and you can tell, plus a quality ranch on the side which made them impeccable. Highly recommend for people seeking these flavors, and hard to pass up next time. Fries were also no joke, crispy and fresh and us eating in clearly helped with all of these sides being such great quality. Fresh and delicious and I am counting down the days I go back and try their chili cheese fries because I was for sure stalking the tables next to us that ordered them (don't tell). My husband got the rocky road shake and liked it. On the thin side so if you like it thick, you may want to ask for less milk. (Insert joke here) All in all we can't wait to go back. Next time chili cheese fries, double frisco and maybe some breakfast items for a brunch vibe. I will say I expected a 50's dinner with a drive thru or park car hop service which they don't yet have (not sure if in the plan long term). Don't care about the park service but the drive thru will be clutch. Music wise I was judgy it wasn't 50s and was more 70s/80s but found myself singing along to a bunch and of MJ so ended up being fine. Cool decor and great service for the win! I loved the old Pacific Star so was sad at first to see it go but quality of food and prices are comparable, so not mad. Great job Bellflower and Friscos, we can't wait to go back and aim for that 5 star

Saw this place on Instagram and wanted to give it a try. Fries were crunchy and I enjoyed their soda variety. You have to pay an extra $2 for the car box for the kids burger. The patties/burger were on the smaller side and a bit pricey.

Pastrami Sandwich, large fries, and the Frisco's Cheeseburger
    Kayla W.

Tried Frisco's for the first time with my mom. It was ok. We went around 8p so the line was short. They have a big menu so I would say to look ahead of time so you aren't overwhelmed or rushed. I got the Frisco cheeseburger, my mom got the pastrami sandwich, and we shared an order of fries. The frisco burger was ok. I didn't like the task of the Parmesan cheese on the sourdough. The rest of the burger was good. The pastrami sandwich was good and large. Nothing g special but tasty. I base if I'm coming back somewhere based on their fries and Frisco's fries were fine. I think if they but a little more seasoning it would be better. The fries do come with a free sauce so that is nice. I would give Frisco's another try but will definitely see what else is one the menu.

So fresh! Huge variety of foods from chicken strips to colossal burgers! Can't wait to go back for their breakfast menu. That's the only serve it before 10! Onion rings are made fresh too! their milkshakes are beautifully designed! Fruity pebble shake, comes with cookies, cherry, whip, whipped cream, and fruity pebbles on top!

Love this place, they have great service and the food is great. I have tried the burgers and chicken sandwiches (fried & grill) and they ate good. The ambiance is chill and calm, I like the decor in the place as well. It's like a throwback but modern. In the area they honestly do have the best burgers overall.

Large Chili cheese fries costs $12.14 at the time of this writing. Chili and cheese make a perfect combo. Not too salty either. You can see some greasy layer on top, so dont expect anything healthy. The cheese hits different and isnt generic Kraft cheese you can get at the store in case you were wondering, "we have cheese at home." It's nothing like what you can buy at the grocery store. It is worth the extra dollar. Service was quick. Friendly cashier. Practically empty restaurant inside since most people use the drive thru or order to go. I would buy again. Their fries are peak.

It reminds me of my childhood in the best way. There's just something about a classic burger with that Thousand Island spread that you don't find everywhere anymore. My go-to order is the bacon cheeseburger with chili cheese fries, and it never disappoints. The flavors are exactly what you want, simple, satisfying, and consistently good. I always get a side of ranch too, which just takes everything up a notch. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. If I'm taking it to go, I like to get the lettuce and tomato on the side so the burger doesn't get soggy, I definitely recommend doing that. Price-wise, it is a little on the higher side for a burger and fries combo, but honestly, the quality and taste make it worth it. It's one of those spots you go to when you want something you know is going to be good every time.

According to their website, they also make appearances at Breweries and Food events, so you may see them out and about. It popped up on my radar through yelp and I wanted to check it out as a local. I had their "black market burger", which was a double smash burger on a grill top with grilled onions and on a potato bun. They mentioned that their fries are cooked in duck fat, which typically gives a savory flavor to fries that you don't get in seed oils. They also mentioned their "new school american cheese" is new school because it's real cheese, but it tastes and melts like the American cheese. They were friendly and they brought it to my car as soon as my order was ready. I think that this burger would be nice with a beer at a brewery and, if you check out their website, then you could see when/where that happens. As it stands, I enjoyed their namesake burger and fries; however, I'd probably want to go with one of their more dressed up burgers or chili fries and I'd BYOB if I were to come back to see them at LB Towne Center, which has no less than a half dozen options for burgers. I definitely respect the grind. If you do come to check it out, check their hours before you head over to the gas station or check their website to go to their appearances at local breweries (which is probably how I'd rather have it). I hope they consider going to busier food events where their offerings can be paired with other food experiences. Soft drink options would also be nice. Again - I respect the grind and think that if you want to try a double smash burger on a potato bun, then you should consider giving it a shot.

(My boyfriend is one of the founders of the team so when I sent him a photo of the menu, I realized he won't reply til he has time & the game had just ended and he has to help take down everything.) We ordered the black market burger, the shady Swiss, and the bootlegger fries. Everything was phenomenal! I actually ordered my Swiss burger mainly for my boyfriend to try, because he likes mushrooms and I do not, but to my surprise I scarfed down the burger within minutes! That potato bun, the garlic aioli, the patty itself-oh my goodness-heaven. The burger was packed plenty with mushrooms & I enjoyed it all. I ordered the fries because I saw that they were thick cut and after hearing they were cooked in duck fat made me intrigued to see what the difference in taste would be & I was beyond impressed. They were just cooked to perfection with the perfect ratio from crispy crunchy goodness to the soft potato filling. My initial plan on the fries was to share half with my boyfriend (he only ordered the burger anyway), but my lack of discipline left him with just 1/4 of the fries He finally was able to eat 30 minutes after I received the food and his immediate reaction to biting into the burger was that it was really good! When he tried the fries he was impressed that they were still crispy and enjoyed the fries as much as I did. I wish they were coming back to next week's game, but I will definitely be there for every game they're popping up at (and to support my bf's team ofc ) .

Once we were seated, we were given the menu, and the waitress told us that we would be right with us. She stopped by to ask about drinks, and we opted for water. She dropped off water and came back with perfect timing because by then we were ready to order. I also love the simplicity of the menu. There really aren't too many options where you feel overwhelmed, but there are still enough choices to pick from. Shout out to the pastrami quesadilla, I didn't realize it had been swapped for a new menu item until I asked about it this time around, but I'll be waiting for its comeback! We ordered a few items: the mac and cheese balls, the Wagyu bone marrow burger with truffle fries, and a double smash burger with ribbed finger potatoes. We had to get the mac and cheese balls since it was Hoppy Hour! I also didn't realize that on Wednesdays, the double smash burgers are half off. I'll definitely remember that for next time. After we ordered, the food came out quicker than I expected. It was a nice surprise. I think the first item came out about 10 minutes after our initial order. The mac and cheese balls came out hot, which was great. The breading made them super crispy and gave a nice crunch that balanced really well with the softer, chewier mac and cheese inside. I was glad the inside wasn't too runny since that would have made it like lava! I didn't see a cheese pull this time, but next time I'll try again to see if I can catch one. It was a great start to the meal. The burgers came out shortly after we finished the mac and cheese balls. I totally forgot that the truffle fries came with sauce. I should have asked for the sauce on the side, but it wasn't a problem that it was added on top of the fries. It just made them get soggy a bit faster, but that's no problem; it just means I've got to work faster! The burger was good and came out super juicy. I asked for it medium, and it looked about medium, so no complaints here! I never realized before, but the bread was so fluffy... it was a super pillowy bun with a nice bounce to it. It definitely helped balance out the meatiness of the patty. The hint of tomato gave it a nice, refreshing bite and really helped cut through the richness of the meat. The onions also added a nice sweetness to the burger, which was appreciated. I also snuck a bite of the ribbed potatoes, and they were good as well. They were a bit crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside, with just a touch of saltiness. I also stole a pickle from the double smash and realized I probably should have asked for pickles on my burger, but I'll remember that for my next visit!

3 stars for the food, but only 1 star for the service…read more I came on a Wednesday evening, and there were only a handful of people inside and out on the patio. You'd think with it being so slow, the service would have been attentive... but it wasn't. Our waitress only came to our table to take our order and bring the check. The only other time we saw her was after we flagged down another staff member because our fries were lukewarm. Unfortunately, the replacement fries were also lukewarm, so I'm thinking fries just aren't their specialty. I ordered the Al Pastor fish tacos. They were good, but nothing really stood out or made me want to order them again. I'm willing to give Eureka! another try because everyone has an off day. Hopefully the service is better next time, and I'll update my review if it is.

Customer service was amazing! Keep it going! It's a basic menu to order from. Nice and easy…read more Food was delicious! Strawberry shake is a must. A side of the Jalapeño aioli with my chicken sandwich was the go to! It got busy as soon as I ordered my food lol. Definitely recommended A++++

For the love of God stop overcooking the already thin smashed burger …read more I don't care how long the line is.... I don't care how many customers you are trying to get in and get out of the establishment. Please don't chat the edges of the burger because you are trying to do to many things at once. You have one stand alone store on 2nd and plenty of customers who would prefer to spend $1.25 more rather than give it to a larger competitor in the current burger wars. Read the room burning the edges of the burger surely alters the taste of what might have been a great burger story. We were very disappointed to say that the fries trumped the overcooked cheeseburger. I thought for the price of the double cheeseburger that there would be a valiant effort to please the clients tastebuds but that never quite materialized.. The presentation is the trick because the service and the food fell short of lackluster. And before you serve anything Take pride in your own QUALITY CONTROL Look at the burger Then ask yourself would you eat it and if it doesn't passed that litmus test THROW IT. OUT AND START OVER !!!!! It's as simple as that . Have some self awareness.
