Frisco's is great! The last time I went I had the pastrami. It was delicious. Everything I've tried is. The fries keep their crisp and is well seasoned, zucchini fries are well battered and the batter doesn't separate from the zucchini like some places. The shakes...well they're good. I wish they were bigger without so much whipped cream, but that's just personal preference. I appreciate the decor and they're pretty friendly. I can't believe those girls are on skates. read more

It's described as a 50's carhop, but nothing of this screams 50's. It's basically like a burger spot but toss on some pictures in the corner for the aesthetics. We ordered a few burgers, kids meals and chilaquiles. They didn't explain that the kids meal will be double the original price for a kids cup and fries. Mind you the kids cup is the same as a water cup. So if you plan to do that, don't get the kids "meal" just order the dry burger alone. All items are a la cart. When served, they come in on roller skates BUT the burgers are served with just a wrapper, no boat or plate. So you're stuck holding your food the entire time. The chilaquiles came on a $0.50 home essentials plate from Target. I know cause I own a bunch of them. Utensils are super cheap and don't break through the chips. There is a "feedback" number on the receipt. So I figured why not. Now let me tell you... I'm sure there can be some kind of lawsuit with this because this is your personal number texting this number that ends up texting you back and trying to gaslight you and then "accidentally" calls you back. And to compensate for your bad feed back, tries to offer me a cookie. Yea don't go here. You're better off at a Ruby's diner if there is any left. read more

We went here when Frisco's was first opened and it was decent, 4 stars. Fast forward to today and will NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. The place is FILTHY DIRTY. Ordered at the counter and went to use the bathroom, should have just cancelled my order. The bathroom looked like a TRUCK STOP....there was dirt and grime all over the mirrors, sink and ledges. And then the DOOR was disgusting, dirty and nasty all over the door, handle and frame. When you see a bathroom like this, 100% you KNOW they are not keeping the kitchen clean. Well, I proceeded to sit down to wait for our food. SERVICE: 20 minutes later, in an empty restaurant the food finally shows up. The service was horrible, they were only paying attention to the drive through customers. CLEANLINESS at the BOOTH: Was also horrific. There was a dying beetle on the window frame next to our booth, the window ledges were completely dusty and rank and the fake greenery foliage they have all over the restaurant was also dusty, dirty and gross. You can tell they do not clean. FOOD: I got a chicken greek salad, which was small portion and hardly any chicken. Husband got a burger which was also not great. Also, not one person on rollerskates. I mean, isn't' that the whole premise of this place? Anyways, just like the spot that was here before that got closed all the time by the health dept, I fear this may be heading the same way. use caution when eating here. Good food, large portions, proprietary soda flavors with real cane sugar. What's not to like? I used to go to the one in La Habra and I have never been a fan of that Parmesan cheese on the hamburger bun. I wish I would've remembered that and told them I wanted a normal bun instead. The chili cheese fries were massive and spiced well. Great texture, not soggy, good ratio of cheese to potato to chili. Some chopped green onions on top for a nice texture and a flavor addition. They weren't roller skating that night, but granted it was a Monday night and almost 10pm. They also did a good job with the makeover, but the car booth interiors and wall fixtures just didn't have the same heart and character as the La Habra location. The food is solid though and very large portions so I'll be back soon. Maybe they'll be skating then. read more

I ordered the chilaquiles through the drive-thru, which are advertised as coming with three eggs. However, as you can see in the photo, it looks like there is only one egg. The chips and hash browns were burnt, the sauce was extremely watered down, and the beans tasted like they came straight from a can. The portion size was very small and definitely not worth the price. It felt like a complete rip-off. To make matters worse, the drive-thru window area was dirty and covered in dust. It did not look sanitary, and I do not think food should be served through a window in those conditions. I hope the manager or owner reads these reviews and takes steps to improve the food quality and cleanliness of the restaurant. I am so happy we have this location in the Long Beach / Lakewood area! I've known about Friscos for a while, it's been on my list for years. I finally went to the one in Whittier and then got the great news that this one was opening up (I literally went to the Whittier location for the first time and then this location opened up about a month later) I've came here on days where I'm trying to be good for their salads and I've came here on days when I want to be bad for their delicious strawberry milkshakes. They have up close parking in a private parking lot. They also have a drive thru (do not complain about it taking a while. This isn't truly a fast food restaurant. It's not McDonalds). This location is a LOT smaller than the one in Whittier. It's still the same theme and color scheme. They have the cute pink and blue booths but not the old classic car theme booths. They also have cute signs lit up on the walls. Since being open I've been to this location more than a few times. I'd say the first two didn't go very smooth because they just opened. But other staff stepped up and stepped in to help out their fellow workers You order up at the counter, they give you a number and then they bring it to you. On all the days I've came they did have the classic car hop girl on roller skates bring our food out. when you're done, no need to clear your own table. Staff and signs tell you to leave it Staff is really good at keeping the booths clean. On their website it explains their story. This restaurant was opened by, Takis Stathoulis, a Greek immigrant and his wife opened their first restaurant in the early 1980s and has been a locally owned by their family ever since They have their own craft soda. You serve yourself at the soda fountain drink area (they do have one diet soda) They have a large breakfast menu, they have a lot of different sides such as fries (they have chili cheese fries, fries with other toppings, regular fries and curly fries), onion rings and the zucchini sticks are great here. Also, don't forget the homemade ranch dressing Portions are extremely generous. Prices do add up. But again, this isn't true fast food even though they have a drive thru I think it's safe to say I will keep returning here whenever I want an easy lunch or a little treat. I highly suggest their root beer float. This place does get busy at peak hours. I really don't know why the low rating. Finally got a chance to try this place out after this lot had been vacant for a couple of months. Wasn't really sure what to expect since the location is so small, but I guess they made it work somehow lol. There's not a lot of seating inside so depending on the time you go, you might have to wait a while to get a seat. We ordered a cheeseburger with double meat double cheese for my kids to share and my husband and I shared their Frisco Hickory Cheeseburger with double meat double cheese. We also got a side order of onion rings and curly fries. Surprisingly, the portions were pretty good. I don't think I would've been able to finish the whole thing by myself. Burgers could've used more sauce in them. It was a bit dry. But their fries were delicious. Overall, we wouldn't mind coming back and trying out more items from the menu. Their crafted sodas were flavorful and felt like they actually put thought into them, and I love that they use Thrifty ice cream. Woke up hung over and wanted a good burger. Decided to try Friscos since we drove by it the day before and haven't had since it's hay day in the early 2000s. Service was good. The burgers were horrible. The meat patty quality is sub par and gamey. I got the bacon Avocado burger and my friend the patty melt. Mine looks like they smashed the burger with the bun. Still in soft opening mode for sure but was glad we stopped by and can't wait to try again. We came on a Sunday at 1:50 and there was a line but manageable. Service was speedy and we ordered and ate in an hour. Timing on food seems like it is a bit off. Fried food was delicious but burger was a little room temp and got soggy. We tried the Frisco smash burger which comes on their signature sourdough parm crusted bread. We liked the sauce and overall flavor. The meat to bread ratio seemed off and would get a double next time. As noted prior it was a bit cold and sauce made the toasted bread a bit soggy, but liked the flavors enough to give it another shot. Pastrami sandwich was great, best ever... no. Great for a craving and for the 10.99 price, hell yes! Would order again! Onion rings and Parmesan zucchini were both amazing! They are freshly made and you can tell, plus a quality ranch on the side which made them impeccable. Highly recommend for people seeking these flavors, and hard to pass up next time. Fries were also no joke, crispy and fresh and us eating in clearly helped with all of these sides being such great quality. Fresh and delicious and I am counting down the days I go back and try their chili cheese fries because I was for sure stalking the tables next to us that ordered them (don't tell). My husband got the rocky road shake and liked it. On the thin side so if you like it thick, you may want to ask for less milk. (Insert joke here) All in all we can't wait to go back. Next time chili cheese fries, double frisco and maybe some breakfast items for a brunch vibe. I will say I expected a 50's dinner with a drive thru or park car hop service which they don't yet have (not sure if in the plan long term). Don't care about the park service but the drive thru will be clutch. Music wise I was judgy it wasn't 50s and was more 70s/80s but found myself singing along to a bunch and of MJ so ended up being fine. Cool decor and great service for the win! I loved the old Pacific Star so was sad at first to see it go but quality of food and prices are comparable, so not mad. It's just sad to see this new place empty all the time. We live 2 minutes away and were looking forward to a new restaurant. They need a new burger patty and someone who knows how to season and cook it! It's disgusting to read about how dirty it is too. I'm happy to say that I'm upgrading my previous 3 star review to 4 stars. I wanted something quick to eat after spending 3 days in San Diego cause I did not have the energy or time to cook. I opted for drive thru and service was quick and easy. They were very thorough in ensuring my order was correct before leaving the intercom. While at the payment window, you can see they had a very clean and organized work station. The double cheese smash burger w/ the sourdough cheese bread definitely satisfied my taste buds. I also got some parmesean zucchini fries which were great especially with the ranch dressing. I'm definitely going to visit again to try there chili cheese fries. My foodie friend got the Frisco chicken sandwich which which I tried. It was decent but I would prefer a crispy chicken patty over grilled. read more

I was worried this place would be more style over substance, but everything was delicious! Not only is the interior super cute, the service is top notch, and the food tasted fresh and high quality. I had a smashed burger with grilled onions and it reminded me of In-N-Out's animal style burger- but better! The zucchini fries with parmesan are incredible too. Also, I think it's pretty cool they have their own custom cane sugar sodas, along with coffee and iced tea. The service was amazing and prompt. I enjoy the 50s theme along with the car themed booths, it really adds to ambiance. As for the food, I really enjoyed the Cruiser Fries, especiallywith ranch. They were perfectly seasoned, cheesy and had plenty of yummy bacon. I think the pastrami was so-so. It had plenty of meat, pickles, and mustard on the sandwich, but I have had better tasting pastrami and I felt it was missing something. It felt very flat. The sodas are good but overly sweet. Even the diet soda had a root beer taste and tasted like it had an abundance of sugar in it. I will be back, I just don't know how soon because I do not live in the area. Tried Frisco's for the first time with my mom. It was ok. We went around 8p so the line was short. They have a big menu so I would say to look ahead of time so you aren't overwhelmed or rushed. I got the Frisco cheeseburger, my mom got the pastrami sandwich, and we shared an order of fries. The frisco burger was ok. I didn't like the task of the Parmesan cheese on the sourdough. The rest of the burger was good. The pastrami sandwich was good and large. Nothing g special but tasty. I base if I'm coming back somewhere based on their fries and Frisco's fries were fine. I think if they but a little more seasoning it would be better. The fries do come with a free sauce so that is nice. Okay y'all, so I was so excited to try this spot because there used to be a Frisco's on Woodruff and Stewart & Grey that was turned into a Mr.Pete's Burgers. I remembered this delicious Greek salad with an unforgettable dressing, so you bet your butt that's what I got from here. I also ordered a pastrami sandwich with fries and a shop Box that comes with 2 chicken strips, fries a drink and a small ice cream. Welp, the salad was skimpy for $10, although it does come with pita bread, but the salad dressing was just as I remembered- deliciosa! The pastrami was pretty good as well, and the fries are like lightly battered? Really good. Their ranch- chef's kiss. The chicken strips, not bad either. I would def get them again. And the chocolate I've cream was so rich and chocolatey! As for the 3 stars it's for the service. I came up to the register to pick up my food, no acknowledgement for a couple of minutes. No worries not in a rush. But when I did get someone to help me it was so unprofessional and seemed like everyone was on their break or leaving for the day and did not even want to deal with my order. Very sad about the interactions I had with the staff. I checked my bag cause I had a feeling there was no quality check, and sure enough I had not gotten my dressing for my salad, the extra ranch I paid for and had to ask them about the ice cream that came with my order. Cute retro joint taking over for where Pacific Star used to be. Never went to the original Frisco's Whittier location but was pleasantly surprised & glad to see a worthy advisary taking the place of P Star. Menu/Service: The menu is plentiful with tons of great options for breakfast, lunch, dinner & everything in between. I can't wait to try the milkshakes, salads, and sandwiches. We went before 10am and the line was slowly starting to form, the service was decently fast (this is a soft opening) and took about 15 minutes for the food to come out. Everything we ordered was correct, hot, & fresh Ambience: Very cute lighting, car "seats", thoughtful decor, and retro style booths. We overheard there is going to be an outdoor patio coming & so excited to see what that looks like! Food: We ordered & shared a pastrami breakfast burrito, supreme burrito, mini burrito (egg,hashbrown,cheese), french fries, onion rings, regular cheeseburger, thousand island, ranch, and cherry fountain cola. The breakfast burritos are HUGE, seriously great portion for the price / the ''mini" breakfast burrito is not mini at all and more comparable to your standard size burrito at about $3 less. Was very pleased & would order this again. The supreme burrito is comparable to the "mixed" breakfast burrito from Pacific star but even bigger 10/10. The pastrami breakfast burrito was good, with mixed options on how well done the pastrami was 7/10. The tortillas were fresh & flavorful on all the burritos 10/10. The side salsa wasn't bad but we'd pass on this and swap it for.... The thousand island. Delicious! Thick! Flavorful! Yes please 10/10. The French fries have a nice light and flavorful batter to them / ditto for the onion rings. The ranch is good, not wingstop good, but good, nonetheless. The cheeseburger is solid, not gourmet by any means, but your standard diner type burger. I would still choose in n out over this burger, so 6/10. Lastly the cola, it was interesting, the flavor was there but it could use more carbonation, it tasted slightly flat (I love a good carbonated soda). Overall, our house is very excited for Frisco's joining the neighborhood. The food is great, the joint is cute, and we will definitely be back. Unfortunately, it missed the mark across the board: Food quality: 0 Flavor: 0 Presentation: 0 Partly my mistake for not noticing it came on sourdough bread, but the jalapeños and parmesan baked into the bread just didn't work--it wasn't a pleasant combination. I used to eat at the old Frisco's in Downey before they closed. I decided to try out this resurrection of Frisco's. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger Fried Zucchini and Coke. My Cheeseburger arrived and it was about the size of a Mcdonald's Burger. I had to ask for lettuce and tomatoe to make it look bigger. My Zucchini was burnt to a crisp.
