I don't think the hamburger patties are a quarter pound any longer. My hamburger was pretty much filled with lettuce disappointing.

I thought I had reviewed Volcano Burger a long time ago, it's one of my favorite burger joints ever! Discovered this place a few years back looking for a hidden spot to frequent. It's always a packed line and people usually in the front ordering and filling up their eating area, I'd recommend grab and go here. The burgers are amazing, big in size, taste better than fast food style, more like the entry level restaurants. I'm a big fan of their fries and fried Zucchini. Got the onion rings this time, it's always overflowing in portion to the serving sleeve. Decided to switch up the Lava Burger with the Fish Burger, it's good to go! Didn't order a shake this time but usually do, they're big servings and the same quality as the rest of the menu. If you're in the surrounding area looking for drive-thru, consider trying this place out. Makes a quick meal seem more satisfying than chain establishments. read more

Came here on a tueaday around 11:30 no wait to order. Parking on the side and some seating on the patio. Ordered a hamburger with grilled onion. It tasted okay the onion was semi grilled and the patty was alright. There is no combo order so everything is separate. The separate fries were okay not salty nor seasoned. I really wanted to love this place since it is so close to my church, but I was a little put off by my visit. The food was tasty, so I will give them that. We ordered two colossal burgers, regular fries, and chili cheese fries. My burger did not come with cheese as I had asked, so I went up and grabbed a slice and added it myself. Not a huge deal, but it did take away from the experience a bit. The pastrami was great, the burger had a lot of flavor, and their ranch definitely passed the test. The biggest issue here is the parking. The lot is very small, and once a rush hits, you are stuck. We sat there for about 30 minutes trying to get out, and my boyfriend ended up going through the drive-thru line just to exit. It was pretty frustrating. That is really my only gripe, though. Do not get the pastrami sandwich Worst pastrami sandwich I've ever had bread was soggy, meat was tough and chewy, way too much mustard, they also do not carry Swiss cheese... If the Hat is a 10, then this is a 2 at best This is their most expensive sandwich at $12.99, and so far the worst thing on the menu I have tried. I ended up throwing over half of it away. I'm not completely sure about this burger joint. There is normally a crazy huge drive thru line. Normally our order is to go, So we decided to eat here instead and parked on the street. The kid taking our order was super polite and read the order back to confirm that it was correct. The seating area had just been wiped down. Not crazy loud, even for being right off of a super busy street. Looking forward to seeing what the hype is for this burger joint. read more

Recently tried their burgers, and I'd say they're some of the best I've had. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. I'd skip the fries, though they were just okay and lacked seasoning. The onion rings were a much better choice. The only downside is that they don't offer any family deals, and everything is sold separately, which can add up. A classic burger with all the fixins. Volcano Burger is a tasty spot that was quite busy on a Sunday morning. There are no combinations on the menu so everything is à la carte. The French fries were perfectly fried along with the long strips of zucchini which had a good seasoning on them. Service was quick as we were waited on by a friendly young man. Volcano Burger has a covered patio area to eat which was clean with numerous tables. Located across from Los Alamitos HS this must be a busy spot during weekday afternoons. We visited Volcano's yesterday and were very disappointed. What used to be our go-to spot no longer delivers the same quality. The patty melt and burgers had very thin patties, the chicken sandwich was charred, the produce didn't seem fresh, and the bread fell apart. The parking lot is small and gets back up by the drive thru big time. The food is good, great customer service. The patio tables can be cleaner and the trash needed to be taken out as it was overflowing. So the area where the customers eat is a bit neglected. read more

If you're looking for a local, mom & pop burger stand, look no further. Volcano Burgers is literally a walk up window, order, sit outside under covered seating, or drive-thru and take it home. There is no inside seating. It's across from Los Alamitos High School, so I'm sure it gets busy. Fortunately, we stopped by during a non-busy NYE morning, so there was plenty of parking. The junior cheeseburger was the perfect amount, but the bun is seedless. The half order of zucchini fries were huge and delicious. Can't imagine how much bigger the regular order would be. Hello, normally I always have a great experience at Volcano, food is great, service is awesome, but yesterday 06/13/26 I questioned everything. I was in the middle of placing my order at the window, when another gentlemen approaches the other window and complains about how he wanted easy fries. As am placing the order with the very young man, three employees approached the worker to reprimand him on how he wrote the order, it was one of the cooks, a lady, and then a younger lady with short hair, IN FRONT OF ME! Extremely unprofessional, the young man was so confused and flustered. To top all this he got my order wrong, he wrote it correctly but must of entered it wrong on the register, this was not his fault, this was those 3 employees fault...and to make things worse the younger lady with the short hair came back and made fun of him in front of me. Come on, you pull employees to the back and have a conversation don't do it in front of customers. Also every time am there the trash cans are over full. read more

I was not able to try cuz I wasn't brave enough to order by myself :( But since I am a fully grown adult with own car was able to try couple of items. Burgers! Juicy patties and fresh veggies ! I have been going here since I was a little girl. Drive 30 minutes just for a burger here. Went two weeks ago...no gloves for food handling. One person touched the back of someone's shirt then handled food. Anothrr touched their hair! I saw hand sanitizer but no one used it while I waited. Extremely concerned. They have 10 violations from their march check...all for cleanliness or food handling! Dress looks concerning...i may question returning until yelp shows a clean pass with proper procedures in place.
