Volcano Burgers is one of those spots that's been around for me since I was a kid. It's a classic burger joint, and after all these years, it's still one of my go-to spots. The service is pretty quick, the food comes out fresh, and it's just an easy spot to pull up to when you're craving a good burger. They've also got some nice outdoor seating, which is perfect when you just want to sit outside, eat a burger and fries, and chill. And if you go, I already know what I'm recommending: get the Orange Bang and MAKE SURE you get the seasoning on the fries. Trust me, those seasoned fries with an Orange Bang just hit different. My husband and I visited this establishment on a recommendation from a coworker. They don't quite have an indoor eating area, it's open ended if that makes sense. The dining area was a bit crowded, but we were able to get a table near the exit so it wasn't too bad and we had a nice breeze coming through. We stopped by at around 12:15 pm and it was starting to get crowded. We agreed that the food was a solid 4 out of 5. The patty was good, but we did feel that the burgers had wayyyyyy too much lettuce. I also wish that the contents of the burger were listed somewhere. Anytime we bring up going to the City of Los Alamitos, the first recommendation from any of our neighbors is always volcano burgers. Not until recently have we had a chance to go and actually try it and man, were they right! Yes, it is your standard local burger joint but everything we ordered was delicious and cooked to perfection. The corn dog and fries were extra crispy, and the hamburger tasted so freaking good. Every layer went together perfectly. My only complaint would be that the seating outside and the high chairs may not be that clean, but that's not unexpected. we are definitely adding this to our favorites list and will be coming back. read more

Came here on a tueaday around 11:30 no wait to order. Parking on the side and some seating on the patio. Ordered a hamburger with grilled onion. It tasted okay the onion was semi grilled and the patty was alright. There is no combo order so everything is separate. The separate fries were okay not salty nor seasoned. I'm not completely sure about this burger joint. There is normally a crazy huge drive thru line. Normally our order is to go, So we decided to eat here instead and parked on the street. I thought I had reviewed Volcano Burger a long time ago, it's one of my favorite burger joints ever! Discovered this place a few years back looking for a hidden spot to frequent. It's always a packed line and people usually in the front ordering and filling up their eating area, I'd recommend grab and go here. The burgers are amazing, big in size, taste better than fast food style, more like the entry level restaurants. I'm a big fan of their fries and fried Zucchini. Got the onion rings this time, it's always overflowing in portion to the serving sleeve. Decided to switch up the Lava Burger with the Fish Burger, it's good to go! Didn't order a shake this time but usually do, they're big servings and the same quality as the rest of the menu. Went to a location nearby and seen the volcano Sign above fence. Place look tidy and clean as I drove up. Didn't even know about volcanos burgers But glad I do now, they have a drive thru which got full as I looked in mirror, but line moves fast and such nice person who handed me food thru window. It was amazing, I ordered the jr burger and what you get was so much burger for your buck. Everything is à la carte, but that's fine with me. A classic burger with all the fixins. Volcano Burger is a tasty spot that was quite busy on a Sunday morning. There are no combinations on the menu so everything is à la carte. The French fries were perfectly fried along with the long strips of zucchini which had a good seasoning on them. Service was quick as we were waited on by a friendly young man. Volcano Burger has a covered patio area to eat which was clean with numerous tables. Located across from Los Alamitos HS this must be a busy spot during weekday afternoons. I really wanted to love this place since it is so close to my church, but I was a little put off by my visit. The food was tasty, so I will give them that. We ordered two colossal burgers, regular fries, and chili cheese fries. My burger did not come with cheese as I had asked, so I went up and grabbed a slice and added it myself. Not a huge deal, but it did take away from the experience a bit. The pastrami was great, the burger had a lot of flavor, and their ranch definitely passed the test. The biggest issue here is the parking. The lot is very small, and once a rush hits, you are stuck. We sat there for about 30 minutes trying to get out, and my boyfriend ended up going through the drive-thru line just to exit. It was pretty frustrating. That is really my only gripe, though. Volcano Burger is absolutely one of my favorite spots, hands-down! They truly have it all, from burgers and sandwiches to tacos, a gyro wrap, and even corn dogs. Plus, they offer huge salads if you're in the mood for something lighter. You name it, they probably have it. I've never had a bad experience here. We usually swing through the drive-through, which can sometimes be a bit of a wait, but they manage to move things along pretty quickly. The only time I actively avoid Volcano Burger is when the high school across the street lets out because it does get pretty packed. Living close by, this is definitely our go-to place when my husband and I can't decide where to eat because they offer such a wide variety. I was not able to try cuz I wasn't brave enough to order by myself :( But since I am a fully grown adult with own car was able to try couple of items. Burgers! Juicy patties and fresh veggies !
