We ate here two nights while fly fishing on the Green. We thought the food was solid. The chili (both verde and traditional) was excellent. The side salads are full of fresh lettuce and veggies. I had the chicken parm, which was basically a giant chicken tender with tomato sauce and mozzarella. We also had the brownie turtle Sunday and the berry pie. Both were generous portions which were a great value for the money. My son thought his burger was pretty good. Service is friendly if sometimes slow--they seem like they are always busy there, as it's probably the best restaurant in the area. They have a full bar! We also had some ice cream from the counter in the store. Very nice servers who gave generous scoops! The ice cream was excellent! Big store attached is great to browse for souvenirs or gear while you wait. I would recommend you make reservations in advance. read more

Hotel is the pits. They messed up my reservations. I was supposed to have a handicap room. I got there was not handicap. They have my checkout date wrong.! If you arrive 15 minutes early, they want $25 to allow you to check in to a room that is ready and waiting even though the room was not the room I reserved. I made the reservation a couple months ago was assured it would be a handicap room with a walk-in shower. I called 4 days ago from the Atlanta airport to confirm it and the room we were assigned was not the room that was discussed! Would recommend nobody ever stay here never make a reservation here. These people are incompetent. Their attitudes are bad terrible place. Never stay here again even though I come here three or four times a year to fish. I'll make sure I stay somewhere else I would stay in Vernal and drive up before I would ever rent a room from these people again. read more

Stayed at Pine Forest RV Park section & am very impressed. Lots of space between sites, individual fire pits, dining tables, lots of grassy areas, clean bathrooms and very attentive staff. Full service resort that has dining, a well-stocked general store (with popular ice cream shop), gas station and boat tours/rentals. The staff everywhere is very nice and works hard to keep this place clean & neat. Close proximity to all the outdoor recreation in Flaming Gorge. Highly recommend this resort and the Pine Forest RV Park. read more

Last minute stop at the Pine Forest RV Park and had an amazing visit. Lots of space between sites, green grass, clean facilities and a very attentive staff. Lots of extra parking for your vehicle and toys. Don't forget to make that last minute run to the store for some ice cream before bed. The location provides good access to hiking and the reservoir is just a short drive away. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again soon. read more

Pine Forest Rv Park is a dump. We showed up at 2 PM. check in is 4, so we were charged extra. They put heavy picnic tables across the drive where you park the trailer, so you have to move it before you can back in. Watched a 70 year old man and his wife drag the heavy thing so they could back in! Huh? plus the place is a pit! Not very clean, weeds everywhere. And apparently the rules only seem to apply to some. Would not recommend this place to anyone, friend or enemy! read more

Stopped by the Flaming Gorge Resort hoping to eat with a view. We didn't get to see the view but enjoyed our lunch. The restaurant was also connect to a little store, so we were able to do a little souvenir shopping. There was a veggie burger on the menu and I was able to substitute the meat on the Navajo Taco with the veggie patty. The food was tasty and the service was great. The house salad were okay. I prefer a greener salad. Stop by the Flaming Gorge resort while camping and you will not be disappointed. read more

I've been staying here for many years while fishing the Green River with a large group of people. The rooms are very nicely updated, love the food in the restaurant, the shuttle service is excellent, and the staff in the fly shop, restaurant and at the front desk are especially friendly and efficient. I have used guides on numerous occasions and they have been excellent. Take time in the morning to enjoy the views and sunrise. read more

This review is for the river guides that we had during a fishing trip we took. If you are going to get a guide I suggest you ask for Craig Bullara he was one of two guides we had and was the nicest most professional and helpful guide you could ask for he gets 5 stars . However Mark McKinney is one of the worst guides I've ever taken a ride with he was confrontational from the moment we met not helpful and if you were trying to learn to fly fish or doing it for the first time you might as well as hand him the pole and go back to the resort for all the help he was. He gave orders, was impatient to first time learners and was just overall didn't feel like he was there to guide you unless you know just as much about fishing as he did. Anytime your line got tangle, which if you have never fly fished before is A LOT, he got angry and frustrated and talked to you like an idiot for doing that. He never let you hold the fish that you caught not even once even though that is half the fun when catching fish. read more

Our review is just for the restaurant and convenience store as we stayed elsewhere on our recent stop in Flaming Gorge NRA. Food at the restaurant was top-notch, we dined with them twice over our three days and two nights visit. Expensive, but, they are the only game in town unless you want to drive to Dutch John. Our accomodations had an eatery but, it was closed for the season. Definitely recommend the Flaming Gorge inn & restaurant, friendly workers. read more

We shared a chicken pot pie for lunch on a cool rainy afternoon and it was very good. Big enough for two. For dessert Kam, our waiter, suggested the cobbler. Chose the warm peach cobbler that was served with 2 big scoops of vanilla ice cream. It was a huge serving and delicious. The water they serve is filtered from a well and very, very good. read more

For one, the food is very good - seemingly quality ingredients and prep as well as flavorful and well cooked. Second, good variety - lots of menu options. This place is not worth the money. We arrived to our "suite" at 7pm at night, I found that the dishes were all dirty. The lotions in the bathroom were half used. The plastic cutting board was degrading and falling apart when I was cooking us dinner - gross. (The resort did bring new dishes immediately). Overall, everything in the suite was extremely dated. The bed was ok. Pillows ok. Had a small tv and cable. For the price, I expected much more. read more

My husband and I ate here for breakfast and dinner for eat day of our stay. While the dinner prices might seem high the chef took pride in what left the kitchen. Each meal was excellent. The staff in the restaurant, fly shop, and even the owner made us feel welcome each day. We will be back. read more

Excellent place to enjoy a meal in the mountains. If you have breakfast try the Biscuit Surprise...yummy and enough for the heartiest of eaters. If you get the chicken tenders for lunch ask that they cook them in their hot wing sauce; pair it with blue cheese dressing and it's yummy-licious. They also make an excellent fettuccine Alfredo for dinner and their apple pie is awesome. Check out their fly shop and raft rentals as well you can spend a great day hiking, fishing or rafting on the beautiful Green River. read more

For $167 per night (minimum) there should be a mini fridge and microwave. WiFi was totally useless and motel door was NOT secure ( the door was open when we arrived. I assume housekeeping left it open for some reason). Pretty location but there are better choices in the area. read more

This was an awesome place to stay. We stayed in the motel portion which waa quiet, comfortable and clean. Only small complaint is the shower heads are really low! Staff was great. Breakfast was delicious and service was outstanding. If you can't live without Wi-Fi this isn't the place for you. If you are looking for a peaceful get away this is a great place read more

Great place if you need a base to work from to enjoy the outdoors. They arranged an excellent fishing trip for my son and I on the green river. Our guide was great! Further the staff at the hotel was also great. If you are looking for a luxury resort this is not the place. We saw the reviews were not great but there were no option close by so we went here. The service was good, the fresh cut fries were great, the wife's fish and chips was good. The onion rings were standard frozen so not too good. My bacon cheeseburger was awful, except for the bacon and cheese! The meat was a pre-patties frozen burger and did not look very appetizing but the taste of the meat was really bad. I took the meat off and the bacon and cheese on the the bun was actually pretty good. I would never have thought to ask if they us bubba-burgers. The worst part is the wife got one piece of fish and hers was $15.99! The total bill was 39.82 and we left a lot behind! read more

Great surprise! We checked into our room. Great little touches, like the bear carvings on the bed posts and the cabiny motif. Very clean and well worth the price. Had dinner in the restaurant which was really good. My husband and I both had the chili which was just like my mom's and my ribeye steak was cooked perfectly medium rare. Very good food and moderately priced. Breakfast the next morning was just as good. We sat at the diner counter. Make sure you order toast so you can have the homemade jam made right on the premises which is fabulous. I don't say that lightly because I make my own jam and this was really good. I would like to come back in the summer and enjoy the Flaming Gorge from the water. All staff that we encountered was awesome! Oh and the store has great fishing gear. I bought a pair of waders for a great price. Overall, great experience. Give them your business, you won't be disappointed. read more

I do not recommend wasting your time at this place. The service was terrible! Brought my family up from Vernal, Utah for Sunday dinner. There were maybe five parties in the dinning room. We waited more than 15 minutes and another party that had arrived prior to us was still waiting to be seated. I inquired about the delay and pointed out the numerous empty tables and several servers standing idly by. Was told they were too busy and were having a hard time keeping up. Well if my money isn't good enough to get me a table and a coke while I wait, and there were plenty of tables available, then I determined there were plenty other places that it would be. Go to Red Canyon Lodge. Not too far from Flaming Gorge Lodge. Worth the drive. Good food! And WAY better service. read more

Worst customer service experience I've ever had. I ask for drop off pick up for our raft rental which they charge $45 for. And that seems reasonable but apprently if i take my vehicle. Tell them i have a Nissan Sentra and they think that is going to take the raft down. Wait almost an hr with no help or acknowledgement from any staff. I finally go ask whats going on and they thought i was taking my vehicle with the raft. So why did i pat 45? And why did you think my little car could carry an 8 man raft? And why did no one come to supposedly load this 8 man raft? Then when they finally understood we wanted them to take and pick us up, i was charged another $45 for that. And when we finally got loaded up, they made us do everything. With 5 employees watching my friend struggle to put a heavy cooler in the back of a surburban, they just watched. No help at all. So disappointed. Dont come here. Use trout creek. read more
