This place is in a strip plaza and has lights on the outside. Busy on weekend will have to wait in line. They had a party of 12 in front of us a party of 2. But wasnt bad line moved fairly quickly. I previously have been to the Revere location and it wasn't until recently that I realized there was one closer by to me all this time! We visited this location on Saturday, July 4th. The wait time was short, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, the customer service was disappointing. When we informed the staff that we had a party of 10 people, they seemed annoyed and reluctant to seat us in a larger area. Throughout the experience, I remained polite and respectful to the employees. The food was okay, but there were several issues with the service. One of our drinks was never brought to us, and when we brought it to the staff's attention, it turned into a small argument even after we showed proof on our receipt that we had paid for the drink. At one point, while walking back to the food section, I noticed the staff being noticeably friendlier and more attentive to other customers. This left me feeling uncomfortable and gave me the impression that we may have been treated differently because of our race. No one in our party was rude or disrespectful, so the treatment we received was difficult to understand. Based on this experience, I will not be returning to this location. In contrast, I visited the same buffet at the Revere location yesterday and had a completely different experience. The staff there were much more welcoming and professional. This place is a sham. The prices they display is not correct. They charge everyone a tip charge even though you get your own food. I we with my clients from a group home and wheel chairs willing to pay tip for staff but the clients are on a fixed income and was charging $23 per person. The service from the front desk people, is ALWAYS good from my experience. BUT the servers are CRAZY for tips! When me and my family finish eating, they ALWAYS beg for a tip. They're honestly really rude. They've even asked $5 per person. So I recommend whenever you're done eating, to hurry up and leave out the door before one of the servers see you. Now this is crazy. I've only experienced this one time, so it's never really that deep. But I found a fruit fly on my melons. Of course I didn't eat it, but we were on a rush so I didn't get to say anything. Honestly, you can't beat a better AYCE buffet. Flaming Grill offers 6-7 food station including hibachi and sushi. The hibachi station offers pieces of good rib eye slices and shrimp for you to enjoy. This location offers AYCE rock crabs. I don't believe the other locations do. I usually go for rock crabs and crawfish right away. The crawfish here is Cajun seasoned. It's not the best quality but for $17 AYCE, can you really complain? All these bad reviews talking bad about the food, I just don't get it. It's an AYCE buffet but you're expecting 5 Star quality food? Lol For $17, you get 8-10 different type of seafood to enjoy, all the Chinese food you can think of, and fried chicken! And for the reviews that complains about being charged tip already, they do let you know in advance and they do give you a receipt . From my experience, 70% people do not tip the waiters and waitresses after they're done eating. They're constantly cleaning after customers. Put yourself in their shoes and what they have to deal with. If it was up to me, I would charge 20% right away for groups larger than 6 and not 12%. If you complain about tipping in this type of environment, where they work so hard after you leave a mess, just stay home. I highly recommend coming here for big gatherings. read more

What?! There's a Flaming Grill & Buffet out in Hyde Park??? Good thing my friend pointed this out before I headed off to the Revere location that I was already familiar with and had just assumed was our party's destination. Like the Revere location, this one is located in a shopping center with a good amount of parking,and has eating areas both open and tucked into semi-private rooms. They had 4 rows of two stations as well as the manned sushi and hibachi stations tucked against the wall. My DCs noted that there were fewer food options at this location, but I found it sufficient. The mayo shrimp and crab rangoon were addictive and had real estate on nearly each of my plates, while I found the prime rib overcooked, and the hibachi steak too thin and therefore all too easily overcooked. If you happen to still need utensils, forks are passed out by the hostess stand, and there are chopsticks by the sushi and ice cream freezer. If you want, yes, you can bring a birthday cake. But bring candles too. And they'll be happy to store it till you are ready for it. read more

I've been to the Revere location and was craving some asian food after work so I decided to give this place a try and do a comparison! In terms of atmosphere and layout, both locations are pretty consistent. For food offerings the same can be said with a 2 x 2 layout for hot food (1 of these section is dedicated to ice cream, 1 long table for desserts/fruit and one long area for sushi and hibachi. The sushi offerings are definitely not something you would come here for (many of the rolls weren't labeled either). The chinese food was pretty good (though nothing special) and overall there wasn't much difference in locations. Price was very reasonable at $12.99 for an adult (Tuesday dinner) and I didn't get sick... so that's a win! The biggest difference in the two locations (and any buffet I've ever been to now that I think about it) is that you have to pay before you're seated. I assume that this could be due to a history of dine and dashers? Either way it's something that definitely struck me as different. If you're in the area and want to stuff yourself at a good price with decent quality items then give this place a go! read more

Five stars for food, ambience, cleanliness, service, and value. This buffet is probably one of the best in the State of MA; it definitely beats all the buffets in Rhode Island, where I'm from. It's pleasingly decorated (professionally done, with nice wall art, wall paper, trims, and neutral colors), relatively very clean and well maintained on days when it's not too crowded. Obviously, the more people there are, the harder it would be for the workers to keep up with the mess, particularly during holidays. We came here once for Mother's day and it was packed with a long line of customers stretching to the parking lot. It took us over 15 minutes just to get inside the door. There were food and used napkins all over the floor. If you don't like chaotic scenarios, I would recommend avoiding coming here during the holidays. Otherwise, this place actually received a Sanitation Inspection grade of A from the City of Boston. Impressive, especially for a buffet. There is a tremendous variety of comfort Chinese and American foods from appetizers, entrees, snacks, healthy options and dessert. The food is tasty, fresh and well stocked. The have a hibachi grill in the back and AYCE crab for dinner on weekends. The price is ridiculously inexpensive for the unlimited feast to chow down on. First time came here, the front guy gave us attitude. The first question he asked 'soda or water', we said water. Then he said 48 dollars. That was it. He didn't even look at us, no eye contact nothing. Very bad service. Anyway, there was a lot of food choices: Asian food, sushi, American food, etc. Food is not as good as the one in Revere, MA. If you want to order soda or other drinks you have to go up to the front to pay first. We have been there twice. My family like to go there. However the lady short hair who work in the front service is not friendly and have a very bad service. If they charge 10% tip on the bill they should let customers know or give the customer the receipt at least. However the servers provide a good service and are very friendly. There aren't a lot of Chinese Buffets in Boston, but this is probably one of the better ones. I've been to their original location in East Boston so I was excited when they opened this new location. Between the two, this location is obviously more clean and newer, but the original location had more variety in food selection. The Food: They have 4 buffet tables for the main entrees, a sushi bar, a hibachi bar, an ice cream/frozen dessert table, then one large table for desserts, salads, and seafood. They have all the typical Chinese foods you would want like Lo Mein, Chicken wings, General Tso's Chicken, Crab Rangoon, etc. For seafood, they have baby clams, stuffed clams, salmon, mussels, and shrimp. For meat lovers, they have prime rib, BBQ chicken, and lots of fried items. I personally enjoyed the baby clams, stuffed clams, lo mein, and chicken wings. The weak items were the honey shrimp (hard as rocks) and the prime rib (way overcooked and tough). The sushi bar was a total miss. It was standard sub-bar buffet sushi. They had a decent amount of rolls, but only like 3 of them had any fish in them. The rest was seaweed, vegetables, or crab. The hibachi was good! You can choose from beef, chicken, or shrimp as your main meats. I would recommend skipping the teriyaki sauce so I find it too salty. At the end of the meal they give you a little holder for tips and give you some mints (no fortune cookies!!!). I found the tip holder thing kinda tacky since it seems to be pressuring you to tip. Normally, I just leave money on the table. Price: For weekend lunch, it was $10 a person which is reasonable. They give a 10% discount for student or military ID. You have to pay first before eating and then the hostess checks your receipt for proof of payment before you will be seated. There's also an automatic gratuity of 12% added to parties of 8 or more. Overall, for buffet food, this place isn't too bad. There were some weak items, but they have more good items to make up for it and for the price I was satisfied. read more

This was my first time here a friend brought me for lunch. It was amazing it was everything she said about it and then some everything was hot and fresh replenished all the time everybody was friendly and kind I didn't understand with some people were saying so my friend did speak Chinese so she translated for me. Which was very nice however it was clean like I said and everything was wonderful there was a great variety of items the only thing I did not have that day was ice cream apparently the truck didn't get there but they normally have Henrdries novelties. They had a huge salad and dessert bar first and then they had an Italian section they had an all American section would like macaroni and cheese and chop Suey and then had them out of all kinds of vegetable section then they had a Chinese one then they had pizza and chicken tenders and chicken wings I had fried chicken I mean if you did not find something you like there and you went home hungry it was your own darn fault. So looking forward to taking others there it is definitely a stop that everyone should make it is right off of Cummings Highway in the Roslindale high park area in a strip mall near Stop & Shop. I tried this Chinese buffet for the first time tonight and I really enjoyed it. The price is $17 for adults and you pay up front for your meal right at the cash register as you enter the restaurant. You order your beverage when you pay for your meal (beverages are not included with the buffet) and a waiter will bring your drink to your table. They have several hot tables. One has appetizers, one has soups, lo mein and rice. There are a couple of other hot tables with Chinese main dishes and another table has American foods including pizza. I wanted to start with some appetizers so I got some fried chicken wings, crab rangoon, spring rolls and fried shrimp. I got some of the lo mein to go with my appetizers. They also had some little pieces of fried dough with the appetizers so I grabbed some of that. I also got the hot and sour soup and I got a little bit of salad from the salad bar. They had some very good beef with broccoli and I chose that as my main dish. I noticed they had a sushi area and also a hibachi area where they will cook your meat and vegetables to order. For dessert they had a long table with cakes, cookies, fruits, brownies and more. I got a small brownie and a piece of their chocolate cake. If you like ice cream they have an ice cream chest with individual ice cream cups and some novelty ice cream bars.
