The food was average. It's not the worst I've had but It's certainly far (very far) from best. The crab Rangoon was on the sweet side. The spring rolls were tasteless and the lomein noodles were salty. The vegetable rice was disgracefully sweet. The French fries were right next to the crab rangoon????? the tiramisu didn't taste like tiramisu, it has a hint of lemon. The jello doesn't jiggle and should probably have a "warning: causes concussions" sign above it. Service is kind of okay. If you get the King Crab legs, make sure you bring Jaws from 007 with you, otherwise you must ask the waitress for a nut cracker tool. The rest of the tools....self-served. read more

This is indeed a pretty good ayce buffet which is definitely a welcome site for this area. It was still packed with people when I went and that says a lot considering it was about 2PM on a Saturday. The food is actually pretty good for a buffet and definitely met my expectations. There is really a lot of variety available here with plenty of good fruit, salad and dessert options in addition to the sushi, stir fry station and hot foods. I have tried both of their locations. Both this one and their Revere location. This one seems to slightly edge out the other location for food quality and tastiness. One thing about this location is that it is a little distance from a major highway. So probably upwards of 20 mins from any major highway exit. Not that convenient for out of town visitors but very good for locals though. Do give this place a try. For the price, you can't go wrong. read more

For what Flaming Grill & Buffet is I would call it a success. Is it somewhere I would frequent? Absolutely not! It just not my particular type of establishment. I have yet to find a Chinese buffet I loved, so I wasn't surprised that I didn't fall in love with this place. Most of the food I had was super salty. I will credit them for having a wide variety of food available. I mean this place has a hibachi grill and sushi bar available for you! The service was EH. My waiter wasn't very responsive to my group. I continually had to flag him down for a refill on my water - remember the food was pretty salty I needed water. I noticed that most of the staff were more focused on talking to each other than they were on being attentive to their patrons. If I could give zero stars I would. This is the worst crappy buffet I ever went too. I got there around 8pm and the food was so old it seemed to be sitting there for hours. Out of everything in the entire restaurant I only ate the mashed potatoes and cheesecake. Everything else I tried was spat out. Out of the 3 flaming grill this place is the worst, maybe because where it's located the food isn't good and the service is really bad. They always looking at you and make you feel uncomfortable eating. I really don't like pay first and tip later. Tonight we went there with 25+ people to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday although the food was decent the service was horrible. The restuarant was not busy when we arrived. I asked the waiter 4 times and he repeated 4 times so there was no language barrier to bring out her cake when he finally did he took the knife and hit it across the back of the chair. His attitude sucked when i spoke with the manager regarding this situation it was swept under the rug and no one returned to our table to collect the dirty dishes. I have been to this restaurant before when the food and service was awesome but over a certain amount of people the tip is included in the price. This is by far the best Chinese buffet that I have experienced. There is a wide selection of a variety of foods. The food is refreshed constantly. Tip on top cause the service is pretty good, plates are cleared quickly and drinks are refilled. Located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking. Abundant seating for large parties. The carpet is sticky and disgusting. Food is continually replenished so at least it is fresh. Taste is meh and I didn't expect much for Americanized Chinese food. Shining star was the green beans. Whoever tells you to go here is probably a person with very poor eating habits/standards. This place is cozy and clean and the food is visually tempting but yet flavorless (ALL the food), and the desserts are also flavorless ( how's that possible?) Not at all a pleasant experience. Old Country had (I do miss their taco bar so dearly), better yet for cheaper, yet everyone is complaining, dessert variety is fantastic except for the "Flan" looking custards which are extremely overwhelming in tasting like eggs, if it is a sort of "Flan" you are trying to offer and display to your customers, please consider more Evaporated-condensed milk and less eggs. All other sweets are pretty good, cheesecake is on the sweeter side but good, smalls portions of, coffee, caramel, strawberry, lemon cakes are very tasty, jello, fresh fruits and a whole bunch of ice creams to pick from at your dispense. - Mashed Potatoes is well seasoned and salted, very tasty and full of flavor, - Mac n Cheese is extremely creamy and cheesy and if you're lucky to grab some as it's freshly served it has a huge cap of mozzarella on top. The pizza is very cheesy with a soft crust. The nuggets are good, the chicken wings can throw you off when you bite in to them because for some reason the yellow coloring is used heavily to season it, but the taste is very good, well seasoned, not too salty and nicely breaded. Fried dough, black pepper chicken, general gaus chicken, breaded shrimp, crabs are all good! The crab ragoon is pretty good the cheese is kinda sweet and I go more for the sourish crab ragoons but it is still pretty good in taste, fries are good, everything here is very eatable, tough yelpers are giving this 4-5 stars why should others have any problems? My parents like the rice and the seafood, for the price everything is pretty decent. Maybe it's the people? Everyone wants to get their moneys worth but here you have all this food American-Chinese for 13 bucks! All you can stuff in your face! (goku style!) Yet I see people that because you'd probably get your moneys worth more if you were to go for the seafood which is considered more expensive they make it seem thats the way to get something out of it so you see them with a small plate of rice then a mountain load of crabs and shrimp on a plate. This place is my favorite buffet! Excellent selection of a variety of foods. The food is nice and hot. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Plenty of seating. Plenty of parking. So new tray of foods are served frequently. One cannot beat the value and mall parking is plenty. Dinner cost few bucks more but well worth it since it has many more seafood. I would stay away from this place. I went there this afternoon with brother. There was a lot of hair found in the crawfish and ended up in my plate. I noticed the waitress and she took the plates, disappeared for about 10 minutes. She came back and mentioned that she gave the to her manager. Five minutes later, the manager approached us, no sorry from him. No sorry or any expression from the manager. The bad part is that the manager wasn't feel bad about or even say sorry. They do not offer the refund either. There is no sorry from the waitress or the manager, it leaves me to believe that they don't care. A friend recommended I eat here, and after this, I will never trust his recommendations again. It was such low quality. The calamari smelled like wet dog. The american food was tasteless. All of the seafood smelled bad and was poorly seasoned. Halfway through the meal, I genuinely started to feel ill. But I was so hungry! So I went up and tried a bite of anything that looked decent. I literally couldn't stomach the food and ended up leaving hungry. And by hungry, I mean that I went home and felt so sick that I didn't eat anymore, but I would have if I could have. So we thought, "food was garbage, but people are talking about the deserts, so lets look." And the desert table set up is like this: macaroni salad/ potato salad/ oysters (don't trust them)/ some random thing/ chocolate pudding. That is the line set up leading to the desert. The pudding tasted like fish. I couldn't eat that and I love pudding. The deserts were disgusting. Inedible. And the absolute best part was the knock-off fortune cookies. I got one that said "those who can endure most are rewarded most," which I'm hoping means that after suffering through that meal something positive is going to come my way. My fiancee's fortune said, "eat your vegetables and you'll grow up big and strong like Popeye." I literally became ill eating here. And it actually made me depressed. Depressed that a business would convince people to come spend their hard earned money there, money that they worked hard for and need to survive, and they got fed what is essentially reconstituted vomit. First time visit; PROS: Free, ample parking; reasonable prices (go before 3 pm on weekdays to avoid crowds, and more expensive); good food station set-up; lots of food variety; waitresses come by to pick up used/half-eaten plates, and clean up your table area; better food quality/quantity than other Chinese food buffet restaurant like Tin-Tin Buffet Restaurant in Allston/Brighton. CONS: No disinfectant wipes to grab onto the ladles/servicing utensils handled by the Public with less than clean hands (like the ones at good supermarkets to wipe down shopping carts); plastic beverage cups which the waitress asks what types of less than flavorful sodas. IF you have food allergies--be careful, as this is NOT the place to cater to your dietary situations; dessert/ice cream choices not the most appetizing. read more

Service was quick. There was a lot of people at the front but we got to a table within 2 minutes. I'm not a huge sea food person so maybe 30% of the items weren't really my thing. The fried chicken was meh, the sushi was decent, and the american food was okay. The chinese style food was very greasy. For desert I had an ice cream Popsicle stick which strangely did not taste like ice cream. Then I had a cheese cake. Cheese cake was okay and ice cream was not great. My friend recommended this place, so I was curious try to see what was the big deal...the food is terrible! The food tasted bland and fake. Me and one of my family members that went with me got sick after eating the food! The waitress that we had kept staring at two of my family members plates and they was very uncomfortable. She kept rushing us to leave like every second and we wasn't there long. I noticed that when the group of Asians came in, she was very friendly and didn't rush them at aĺl..she did watch how much they was eating but it wasn't as much as she was looking my family members. Can we talk about the crab they brought straight from the sea to the steam pot we pick them up from. The grab is literally not gutted. At least I reveres establishment I didn't.
