My friend recommended this place, so I was curious try to see what was the big deal...the food is terrible! The food tasted bland and fake. Me and one of my family members that went with me got sick after eating the food! The waitress that we had kept staring at two of my family members plates and they was very uncomfortable. She kept rushing us to leave like every second and we wasn't there long. I noticed that when the group of Asians came in, she was very friendly and didn't rush them at aĺl..she did watch how much they was eating but it wasn't as much as she was looking my family members. Its a love hate relationship for me the fact that I truly love buffets is why I continuously come back but as I sit down I remember oh this is why. Buffets usually skeeve me out big time but my friend took me here for dinner along with her teenage kids and I was pleasantly surprised. It was clean, the staff were friendly and our waitress cleared our plates quickly. But let's get to the food. It's largely Asian - typical Chinese food, sushi, a hibachi grill for your own creations, as well as non-Asia foods such as pizza, macaroni & cheese, meatloaf, salad bar etc. However, I was really surprised by the seafood this place puts out. Steamed crab, whole shrimp, clams with black bean sauce, fried shrimp and crawfish. The were quickly replenished throughout the night so it wasn't as if you had to worry about them running out of your favorite food items. Desserts were blah but they did have a freezer full of old school ice cream treats like you would get from an ice cream truck. The four of us ate for about $62 plus beverages, another $12 for tips since that woman worked hard clearing all the plates we had lol. For the variety and quality of food, that's what I call cheap eats. We got to our favorite lunch place & had lunch and thought with the rainy day soup would be great for the kids today after school. The guy told my hushed soup only, no food. I'm thinking no chicken, shrimp or veggies added to the soup. So I made a soup with wonton & egg drop soup for my child & added 1 tablespoon of white vercella noodles like she likes it. it's so tiny it's not even really noodles. Well the guy at the register flipped out and was acting like we stole shrimp or chicken. Told my husband he was going to charge an additional $0.80 for each soup for the one tablespoon of noodles. We both said this is stupid out loud but Whatever and going to pay the additional $0.80 but the cashier kept running his mouth & told me to shut my mouth & not to speak. No one speaks to me like that Idk who you are. Now he got me heated because I have rights to speak and voice my opinion that a tablespoon full of tiny noodles is not worth $0.80 to be honest. Especially after we just had lunch and spend money on lunch. But here I am trying to pay my bill and he keeps running his mouth and telling me to shut up. I told him you know what take your soup and I don't want it. I'll pay my bill and leave. The reason why I'm really frustrated is because since the day this place opened their doors my family has been going there regularly and spending lots of money every year at this restaurant. We've had family events here as well.. To be treated like common criminals for little tiny white noodles was ridiculous. If you are black do not waste your time!!!. I went there and paid for me and my 2 siblings they kept repeating the price, assuming I didn't have enough. Then, they were rude and rushing us to get drinks before we could even sit down. Then when I asked for a refill she gave me an attitude and slammed my drink on the table. My server proceeded to talk about us with the other servers in her native language and kept looking over at our table. My little brother also threw up after eating the salmon. This was my first time coming to this restaurant. It is in a nice shopping mall complex in roslindale square. The reason I gave this restaurant 4 stars is because there were a few pros and cons. Pros: I like that this restaurant is all you can eat for a reasonable price and you go up as many time as you like to eat. Cons: I am not sure if I agree with paying before you sit down to a table but maybe that is how buffets go. The soda are 1.69 but they have free refills but if you order cranberry juice or apple juice there are no refills, hmm interesting. Also they have sushi but they did not make every type of sushi, for one I like shrimp tempura sushi and they did offer that type. Some of there labels did not match the food that was shown. Tip: Make sure you bring cash for a tip, or else you would have to put the tip on your card upfront before you know how your customer service experience will be. read more

my overall experience was fine. obviously it is a buffet, so with that said, you pretty much have to rely on yourself to get your food. if youre looking for a fine dining experience youve mistakenly walked into the wrong spot. for the reasonable price point, i felt the food was representative of what you paid for. the selection was definitely plentiful. there are good representations of vegetables, protein and desserts not to mention a variety of food styles (asian, american and american-italian). i was pleased with the food experience. my only regrets are seeing the inexperienced people who overload their plates, as if it was their last meal - its an all-you-can-eat-buffet, you can go up and get more at any point. why overload your plate if you dont intend to finish what you selected...thats kinda ghetto, dont you think? and i feel that parent(s) should police their children and teach them how to interact in public without bringing on embarrassment. i noticed children mobbing food stations in the same fashion that robbers smash and raid storefronts in the news! this behavior would never be tolerated in a school cafeteria or even in their own households - so my question is, why and where are the parents allowing this horrific behavior in a public setting? again, it seems a bit ghetto... being in that environment is unappetizing so i could see how it would make a persons food experience not so pleasurable. my suggestion would be to try this reasonably priced food experience during non-busy hours to avoid sharing this space with inexperienced patrons with undesirable food habits. read more

So I went to this place late last month with my best friend. This place was hyped up to me by some of my friends. So....my take. This place is absolute and complete utter toxic waste! When you walk in, it looks somewhat nice. We had some girl who didn't speak English well. She put us in a section, where it was totally over packed with kids running around, people sitting more to the table then what the table actually allows. So I said, "no let's sit over there." She didn't speak English well so we sat at the table. We sat in back of a couple who were HUGE, I mean big, Titanic, big blimps! It looked like they were there for hours. The man had on a hoodie and flip-flops with black socks, and tight jeans that looked like they were going to explode. The woman had the nerve to wear black spandex and lets just say she looked like a beached whale sitting in a booth that didn't need to be eating. I'm not sure who told her she looks cute wearing spandex.... but no! We get up, walk over to get our food. On the outside, the food LOOKS good. But that's all LOOKS. We sit back down and start to eat. The rice is tasteless mush, completely over cooked. The chicken was bland, the shrimp was watery and didn't taste good and had a smell to it. The sushi looks like it had been out for a week. The hibachi Grill was mediocre at best. The guy cooking was spilling stuff every where as he was more concerned about being on his phone, dealing with some girl. It was cooked in a rush, and he had to re-cook it. The atmosphere, is of a eating frenzy of bad food and low taste. This place is a flaming dump, and some of the people that go there cannot control their kids and should be mind full that you're in public, should know how to act. I don't know how people think this is good food. It's good trash! Good food is only in Boston, the North end, back bay, Newbury street and Quincy market!! ETC. This place is just horrible. Went there today.My man suggested it so we went and I made sure we were arrived right after they opened.My first plate was ok for the most part.A few things I had to avoid after a taste.The chicken wings were not cooked enough.The stuffed mushrooms had some dry sour tasting mystery seafood inside.The rice had no flavor.Sushi was the worst I've ever had in my life.Prepackaged sushi at the grocery store taste 10x better.The general chicken was good and fresh but no spiciness to it at all.Fruit and deserts were good.The waitress was annoying for the fact she seemed like she was rushing us to leave.Every couple mins I'd notice her staring at us and after we went to get our second plate she came over and brought us mints on the little tray that's for tips.How come the two Asian guys that sat down right after we came in she didn't bother them not once.She lost her tip due to how she acted.Anyway this place is nothing to rush back for.Maybe see ya again in a year. read more

i am writing this review on the flaming grill & buffet, and i gave them four stars base on the quantity and quality of food they carries. this buffet is the best thing that could have brought to the roslindale area. but i am going to be fair and truthfull to this review. i am a frequent customer of this buffet at least once per week, reason i do enjoy the variety of the food, and the cleanliness of the surroundings. but during my frequent visits i have been very observant of the handling of the food by customers, workers, children and even more so since the pandamic.food is the staff of life, but it also can be deadly when contaminated by unscrupulous people, children, and even employees that works at the hibachi stalls. as i said previously i would be fair and honest with my review, my suggestion and my complaints. during this pandamic flaming grill as provided, face masks and gloves for their customers and also as written signs that stated please wear while at the food stalls, but you can count on one hand by the people that comply by this request. even though while at these food stalls people are breathing the same air and hovering over the food. management as to insist that customers comply by this rule, for their establishment safety and for their customers. covid is not dead, covid is still alive. on several occasion i have observed children, and even adults eating directly from the stalls without using utensils,dipping in with their bare hands, few days ago i was dinning and again i observed two kids about the age of 15 removing fruits from a bowl with his hands, he change his mind and return the fruits to the bowl piece by piece with his hands. i intervene and became the buffet police. also on another occasion i saw a young lady about 13 years spit in the soup bowl container and place it back with the other bowls, i was very devastated and i brought it to the parent attention and also the manager,the family was so embarassed they immediately left. management went over and take a look at the disgusting situation, but did nothing but return to his position like nothing happen,waiters,waitresses and management should be more observant of the cleanliness, and sanitation of this buffet for their customers safety and also for there business. but there interest is all about making money, and there waiters and waitresses could be careless, their concern is to make sure you leave a tip or they get very nasty by not removing your dishes from your table and leave them to pile up. and the customers themselves could be careless about whats happening around their surroundings, their interest is to ravish the food like they havent eaten in years. this buffet is not what it seems, it is very unclean, management should enforce that no children under the age of 16 should be allowed to help themselves without an adult supervision. i hate to be the buffet police, or even to be known as a trouble maker, but i am very concern about the cleanliness of what am consuming. i have seen so much that its time i call it quits with the flaming grill. and others should be concern also. read more

It is cool to have a restaurant in this spot cuz its been empty. I went about a week and a half after opening. The space is large and clean. There was no wait, we went early evening on a weekday.
