The food is pretty good! I would definitely get there 2 hours before closing that way the food is fresher! The service is good and they are very nice there :) The ambiance is cute! and not like regular buffets. I like how its not solely chinese food. i love how they incorporate healthy options. I will say they need to do better with labeling food and letting people know whats GF & DF.

Okay so I'll definitely be back. The food, in my opinion, is pretty good. It's packed mainly in the weekends, but it has an environment for the most part. Now. Let's talk about the service. The service from the front desk people, is ALWAYS good from my experience. BUT the servers are CRAZY for tips! When me and my family finish eating, they ALWAYS beg for a tip. They're honestly really rude. They've even asked $5 per person. So I recommend whenever you're done eating, to hurry up and leave out the door before one of the servers see you. Now this is crazy. I've only experienced this one time, so it's never really that deep. But I found a fruit fly on my melons. Of course I didn't eat it, but we were on a rush so I didn't get to say anything. I would've asked for a refund. But yeah, other than that. It's an okay restaurant.

    Rock crabs and crawfish!

I'm a simple man. I'm giving 4 stars because everything met my standards except for some excluded options and the white rice.

Good value for your money if you can eat a lot, I guess. Not the best food I've ever had.

Shanghai Classic Pork Pan-Fried Buns上海生煎饅頭: I was instantly hooked! It's hard to imagine finding such good pan-fried buns in the US. Almost every table ordered them, so they were all freshly made, piping hot. The bun was made with unleavened dough, making it chewy and refreshing, with a light, crispy bottom--not oily or hard. The meat filling was substantial and tender, with plenty of broth (see picture). It was sweeter than salty, incredibly umami. The chili oil was also very fragrant, and dipping it in Zhenjiang vinegar enhanced the flavor and cut through the greasiness. Shredded Pork & Preserved Vegetable Noodle Soup雪菜肉絲麵: The noodles were thin and round, with a soft, mushy texture. While the noodles were clearly machine-made, this isn't a problem in the Yangtze River Delta region; the issue was likely overcooking. The shredded pork were well-stirred, with tender meat, but the noodles lacked flavor. They had to be eaten with the pickled mustard greens雪菜 to be slightly salty, and the umami flavor was severely diluted. The tableware is all disposable, and tipping is not mandatory. It's quite affordable.

They come out piping hot and fresh, and can kind of be hazardous if you bite into them too quickly and cause the soup to spurt out. I don't think I've had better ones in the states! In fact, even in Shanghai, it's kind of hard to find good ones sometimes (at least ones that serve them all day and not just for breakfast). It's more of a takeout place as it's rather small, but the interior is clean and bright.

The chain seems to focus on Canton rice noodle rolls. Opted for the beef brisket lo mien and it came out quick. The highlight was the generous portion of beef brisket that was tender and fatty. This wasn't too sweet! ~$30/head after tax and gratuity for lunch.

Both Cantonese and Mandarin were seamlessly spoken. Shrimp Rice Roll / Egg: It looked very appealing. However, the soy sauce was ridiculously sweet, much sweeter than in China, completely exceeding the standard "umami and sweet" of the authentic Cantonese cheung fun腸粉 (rice roll) soy sauce. The cheung fun skin was somehow overcooked, so some parts without egg at the bottom were soggy from soaking in the soy sauce, making the whole roll quite greasy. I have to admire my culinary acumen: I managed to preserve most of the skin's basic texture with the extra egg. Fortunately, the shrimp were fresh enough, six in a serving, with a crispy texture. Oh well, since I'm in America, it's tolerable. I must say, I would never have come here specifically for this, never in my life. Spending $10+ on a plate of cheung fun after traveling so far, will make me feel more like a sucker than ever before!

Beef and tripe was very well seasoned and no weird taste at all. The duck blood is the best duck blood in Boston, very tender and delicious. The cost of the dishes surprisingly a little bit cheaper than other restaurants. Even though the restaurant was super super busy, a lot of people waiting for a seat, and there was only one server, a very friendly man, we had water refilled and all the dishes arrived quickly. The service was great. Because the food was so good, many people willing to wait for a seat. I love the small busy restaurant kind of ambience. I will definitely go back soon!

I requested one dish to be non-spicy, and they were able to accommodate that. The only thing was that both dishes were a little bit too salty than my liking. I came here during a weekday lunch, and it wasn't super busy. I would return again.

Our server was attentive and replenished our water for the table as soon as they were empty without our even asking. Food 5/5: every dish we ordered represented Sichuan flavors well, especially the spiciness of it! Our favorites were the eggplant with spicy garlic sauce, with the chengdu dry hot chicken and the string beans. The braised beef with Napa cabbage and mapo tofu were also delicious. Ambience 3/5: super loud. It wasn't even the music, it was that people's conversations were bouncing off the walls in a small space such that it was not possible to hear the other people in my group except who I was sitting next to. I saw several dates there and hopefully they could hear each other ok. Drinks: 2/5 overpriced and disappointing. My Negroni was ok but my husband's Manhattan tasted watery like it had been shaken instead of stirred and the melon highball tastes medicine-y. Overall a good experience because we were hungry and the food was amazing. We made up for not hearing each other well by taking an evening stroll and talking as we walked.
